As the Govt of India pretends to be blind, attacks on Bangladeshi Hindus escalate.

Bangladesh Hindus are passing through its deadliest persecution under Yunus-Islamist Regime. Why Govt of India is pretending to be a Blind?

Upananda Brahmachari | HENB | New Delhi | June 24, 2025:: Bangladesh Hindus are passing through its deadliest persecution under the Jamaat-Islamist-backed interim Yunus regime. But the Government of India is pretending to be blind under its volatile Bangladesh policy.

The reliable source of Voice for Bangladesh Hindus, in its X handle @VHindus71, regularly publishes the ordeal of minority people there, surfacing the unbearable persecution with proper documentation. But there is every doubt that many RSS-BJP leaders see these incidents and ventilate reactions to put an end to the existential threat to Hindu minorities, which is at an all-time high in Bangladesh.

In its post on X, Voice of Bangladesh Hindus surfaced how an old barber and his son were dragged from their salon ar Bowazar in Lalmonirhat and thrashed severely in the open market on a false blasphemy charge. According to reports, Paresh Chandra Shil (70+) and Bishnu Chandra Shil (40+) were attacked by a rowdy Muslim mob and handed over to the local police alleging a blasphemy charge. Actually, a young Muslim customer was paying Rs. 10 less after cutting his hair, and Paresh was not ready to accept the less payment. As a result, the Muslim boy raised an allegation of blasphemy, for which a Muslim mob started thrashing the father and son in an inhuman way.

Voice of Bangladesh Hindus also posted the appeal of Dipti Rani Roy, the wife of Bishnu Chandra, where she urged for justice for her husband and father-in-law. But who will address that appeal?

The Hindu students of Dhaka University took out a rally in protest of the Lalmonirhat incident.

But the fanatic Muslims of Lalmonirhat took out a rally at Bowbazar with a demand to hang the Shil son and father to death for the false blasphemy charge.

Incidentally, Chinmoykrishna Prabhu, ex monk of ISKCON  is still languishing in Chittagong jail, being implicated in a false sedition case.

It, is not the singularised case of Shil family under Islamic persecution in Bangladesh. Hundreds of such cases appear in the social media unaddreesed.

In its latest posting on 24.06.25. Voice of Bangladesh Hindus surfaced a most shocking incident of Islamic intolerance where Muslims demand to remove a Durga idole from a temple situated in Dhaka’s Khilkhet area as “seeing an idol is haram (sin) according to Islamic faith“.

Voice of Bangladesh Hindus reports, “If the temple is not removed by tomorrow, they will demolish it and threaten to slaughter the Hindus of Dhaka .We, the Hindus of Bangladesh, are seeking help from the international community. Please ,Protect our religious places of worship from the Jamaat-backed government.”

In the regime of Jamat and Islamists backed interim Govt headed y Muhammad Yunus, minority Hindus are dangerously persecuted after the ouster of elected Awami League PM Shiekh Hasina last year.

Recently, Priya Biswas, a Hindu married woman, and her 10-month-old son Praneel found missing from Bunrabad, Batiaghata, Khulna. Hindus alleged that it was an Islamic aduction.

On June 21, 2025, a Hindu temple in Kotowali, Dinajpur was vandalized and looted by local Islamist.

Such atrocities upon Hindus in Bangladesh are endless.

The whole world is seeing them on a daily basis. But it is heartening that the self-claimed savior of Hindus, the RSS and BJP, have hardly any role in stopping such Hindu persecution in its neighboring country Bangladesh. RSS-BJP pretend to be blind, and PM Modi is planning to wear his most fashionable dress to join his next program with a good photo session.

As the situation continues to deteriorate, it is imperative that the Government of India and the international community take immediate action to protect the rights and safety of the Hindu minority in Bangladesh. The silence and inaction of those who claim to be the champions of Hindu rights are deafening, and it is time for them to take a stand against the persecution of Hindus in Bangladesh.
