Bandi Sanjay Kumar Slams TTD Over Employment of Non-Hindus.

Union Minister Slams TTD for Employing 1,000  Non-Hindus, Seeks Immediate Investigation.

B Upendran | HENB | Tirupati |  July 11, 2025:: Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Bandi Sanjay Kumar, has sparked controversy by alleging that nearly 1,000 non-Hindus are employed by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) without adhering to Sanatana Hindu Dharma or having faith in Lord Venkateshwara. Kumar is demanding an immediate investigation into the matter.

Allegations Against TTD
According to Kumar, the employment of non-Hindus in TTD is a serious issue that requires thorough investigation. “Non-Hindus visiting the Lord Venkateshwara temple must declare their faith in him. But how are nearly 1000 non-Hindu employees who don’t believe in the lord continuing in TTD jobs?” Kumar questioned while speaking to reporters.

Demand for Investigation
Kumar demanded an investigation into the number of non-Hindus employed in TTD and why no inquiry has been initiated yet despite serious concerns among Hindu devotees. “There may be several hidden problems. This must be investigated thoroughly,” the BJP leader urged.

Recent Incident Cited
Kumar cited a recent case where a TTD employee was suspended for regularly attending church, highlighting potential inconsistencies in the organization’s policies. “Even if non-Hindus were employed earlier, why is there no change?” Kumar asked, emphasizing the need for a thorough investigation.

Concerns Among Hindu Devotees
The controversy surrounding non-Hindu employees in TTD has raised concerns among Hindu devotees. Kumar’s allegations have sparked a debate about the role of faith in employment within religious institutions. The demand for an investigation into TTD’s employment practices has put the organization under scrutiny. The outcome of the investigation will likely have implications for the management of religious institutions in the region.
