UK Court Slams Fake News on Hindutva’s Role in Leicester Riots, BBC’s Cover-Up Exposed.

Truth Triumphs, UK Court Debunks Fake News: Hindutva Not Responsible for Leicester Riots.

Now BBC must take responsibility for its role in perpetuating all false narratives against Hindutva and apologize publicly.

Upananda Brahmachari | HENB | New Delhi | Aug 10, 2025::  A UK court has ruled that Hindutva was not responsible for the 2022 Leicester riots, dismissing claims made by Islamists Mohammed Hijab and Majid Freeman. The court’s decision came after Hijab lost a defamation suit against The Spectator magazine, which had published an article under the headline, “Leicester and the downside with diversity’,  which was published by the magazine on 24th September 2022,  describing him as a “street agitator”.

The Court’s Findings

The judge noted that Mohammed Hijab’s claims about Hindutva’s involvement in the riots “do not withstand scrutiny” since he had no firsthand knowledge of the events. The court also highlighted that Hijab relied on social media posts from Majid Freeman, whose tweets elicited responses from the police warning against taking unsourced assertions at face value.

Fake News and Misinformation

Majid Freeman was found to be at the forefront of spreading fake news that instigated violence against Hindus in Leicester. He falsely alleged that Hindus had chanted “death to Muslims” and claimed a Muslim girl was abducted by Hindu men, which was later debunked by the Leicester police. Freeman’s actions were part of a larger pattern of spreading misinformation, and he was arrested on suspicion of counter-terrorism offenses, including encouraging acts of terrorism, in July 2024.

BBC’s Role in Perpetuating Fake News

The BBC has faced criticism for its coverage of the Leicester violence, with some accusing the broadcaster of peddling an anti-Hindu agenda and failing to surface the truth about the violence. Majid Freeman was interviewed by the BBC, which helped set the narrative in favor of the perpetrators.

Majid Freeman’s Role

Freeman was at the forefront of spreading fake news that instigated violence against Hindus. He falsely alleged that Hindus had chanted “death to Muslims” and claimed a Muslim girl was abducted by Hindu men, which was later debunked by the Leicester police.

Mohammed Hijab’s Anti-Hindu Mindset

The court exposed Hijab’s anti-Hindu mindset, stating that his comments were intended to inflame sectarian tensions by ridiculing a central tenet of Hinduism. Hijab had incited Muslims to attack Hindus in Leicester, using derogatory language and threats.

After Court’s rulling, BBC must apologize

The UK court’s ruling is a significant victory for truth and justice. It highlights the dangers of fake news and misinformation, particularly when spread by influential figures like Mohammed Hijab and Majid Freeman. The BBC must take responsibility for its role in perpetuating these false narratives and work towards more balanced and accurate reporting. BBC must apologize publicly for perpetuating Fake News on Hindutva’s Role in Leicester Riots.

A Dangerous Warning to UK

The Leicester riots have sent a stark warning to the people of the UK, underscoring the dangers of Jihadi expansionism in the country. The Jihadi upsurge in Britain has invariably endangered the liberty, free speech, right to practice religion, and free movement of non-Muslims in any desired place. Jihad is now the largest threat for the British people, and it must be neutralized at all costs.
