The groundbreaking ceremony for the restoration of the Kumareshwar Mahadev Temple in Aligarh was held. Puri Shankaracharya Nischalanand spoke openly at the gathering by saying: “Everyone’s ancestors were Sanatani Hindus; this truth must be accepted.”

Upendra Bharti | HENB | Aligarh | Sept 28, 2025:: Preparations are underway to develop Sahara Khurd-Patal Khedia, a village in the Iglas tehsil of Aligarh in western Uttar Pradesh, into a major center of Hindu faith. As part of this initiative, a large corridor will be built connecting the three ancient Shiva temples located in the village: Kumareshwar, Pratigyeshwar, and Kapileshwar. Following the groundbreaking ceremony for the restoration of the Kumareshwar Temple on September 26th, the Hindus in the area came together united for the cause. The Hindu community was urged to actively participate in the temple’s construction. Since several Hindu organizations, including the Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Bajrang Dal, and some members of BJP are active in this effort, it is believed that the temple’s construction will generate a religious wave and intensify political activity in the upcoming Panchayat and Assembly elections.

Several saints, including Shankaracharya Swami Nischalanand Saraswati, who attended the religious gathering and performed the groundbreaking ceremony, prominently raised issues such as building a Hindu Rashtra (Nation), empowering Mother India, the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, and protecting the cow. The saints were focused on making Sahara Khurd-Patal Khedia a major center of Hindu faith in western Uttar Pradesh. The three ancient Shiva temples located in the village are mentioned in the Puranas. It is even said that Lord Kartikeya, son of Lord Shiva, established three Shivalingas here as a form of atonement after killing the demon Tadkasur. Therefore, this place is not only religiously significant but also symbolizes the spiritual journey of liberation from self-reproach.

A Call to Serve in Temples for One Hour Daily

In Aligarh, Shankaracharya Swami Nischalanand Saraswati Ji Maharaj said that the Hindu community should serve in temples for one hour daily. This will expand Hindu society’s consciousness and improve the condition of ancient temples. We should not rely on politicians to improve the condition of temples.

Criticizing the Congress government for the killing of cow devotees

Swami Nischalanand Saraswati stated that saints and cow devotees repeatedly requested the then Congress-led central government to ban cow slaughter, but their requests were not heard. Finally, a large number of saints and cow devotees gathered in Delhi, and the government opened fire on them, killing hundreds of cows and cow devotees. He explained that he was very young at the time, but he was a direct witness to the massacre. The bodies of nearly four hundred cow devotees lay before him, but the Prime Minister who ordered the firing was gunned down by his own patron. The curse of cow devotees has destroyed such leaders.

Construction should be according to architectural principles: Dinesh

Former International General Secretary and current patron of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Bade Dinesh Ji, said that the members of the temple trust have undertaken a very challenging task. This work will be completed with everyone’s cooperation. He added that three temples were established here in ancient times and need restoration. Today’s foundation stone laying ceremony for the renovation of the Shri Kumareshwar Temple is an effective step in this direction. He advised those associated with the trust to thoroughly consider its architecture and then begin construction.

Puri Peethadheeshwar Jagadguru Shankaracharya Swami Nischalanand Saraswati Ji Maharaj said that only Sanatani Hindus have the power to give birth to God, and it was under this tradition that Ram and Krishna were born. Therefore, everyone’s ancestors in this universe were Sanatanis. We need to be cautious about the current situation in Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Burma, and Nepal. Such a situation should not arise in India. He further stated that real Shankaracharyas are being harassed, and terrorists are being paraded around the country as fake Shankaracharyas. This is a matter of concern for Sanatanis. Shankaracharya was in Sahara Khurd-Patal Khedia village of Iglas tehsil on Friday to attend the Rashtradharma Sabha organized on the occasion of the foundation stone laying ceremony of an ancient Shiva temple.

Shankaracharya began his address with the slogan, “We will build a Hindu Rashtra, We will make Bharat grand.” Praising the power of the mother, he said, “Salutations to the land of India, where mothers give birth to gods; this power is inherent in Sanatan. Therefore, life should not be for livelihood, but for the nation.” Explaining the forms of Lord Shiva, he said, “Shiva, Shankar, and Pralayankar,” meaning, “As is the form, so is the effect.” Whenever possible, chant only Shiva. If we sleep and wake up with Shiva’s name, our dreams will come true. We need to have faith in Sanatan principles. We must accept the truth that everyone’s ancestors were Sanatanis, whether it was Jesus Christ or Muhammad.”

He said that after independence, the education system in India became distorted, while there was a time when even renowned American scientists emphasized the principles of Vedanta. It is the power of the land of India that the world can be created here and can create the world. This is why incarnations took place here. The mother power here gave birth to Jagadish and Jagadishwari. Now Kalki incarnation will take place in Kaliyuga.
