RSS Chief’s ‘Unified Hindu Identity’ Out Of  ‘Same DNA’ Claim Sparks Controversy.

We call ourselves different but we are all one, we are Hindus: False Claim of RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat.

Upananda Brahmachari | HENB | New Delhi | Oct 6, 2025:: The ‘Same DNA’ ghost won’t leave RSS Chief Dr. Mohan Bhagwat. Again, his delirium manifested in Satna, Madhya Pradesh.

In a recent speech, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Chief Mohan Bhagwat reiterated his stance on a unified Hindu identity, asserting that despite differences in religion and language, the underlying truth is that everyone is a Hindu. However, this claim has been met with criticism and skepticism from various quarters.

The Controversy

Bhagwat’s comments were made during the inauguration of the Sindhi Camp Gurudwara in Satna on Sunday, where he emphasized the idea of a shared identity. He attributed the divisions among people to the British colonial era and materialism, stating, “Today we call ourselves different, but no matter which religion or language we associate with, the truth is we are all one, we are Hindus.”

Critics argue that this narrative overlooks the diversity of beliefs and identities within India, particularly among Muslims, Christians, and secular elements who do not identify as Hindu. The RSS’s claim of a unified Hindu identity has been met with resistance, with many questioning the organization’s motives and consistency in promoting this narrative.

Selective Focus on Territorial Claims?

Bhagwat’s speech also touched on the concept of Akhand Bharat, with references to reclaiming spaces in Pakistan. However, this has raised questions about the RSS’s selective focus on territorial claims. Critics point out that the organization has been notably silent on issues like PoK (Pak-Occupied Kashmir) and CoK (China-occupied Kashmir), as well as the alleged land grab by China in Ladakh.

In his Satna speech Bhagwat expressed his views on Sindhi community and said that many Sindhis did not move to Pakistan. “The new generation should reflect on this. That is our second home, where our belongings and spaces were taken by others, but one day, we will reclaim them as they rightfully belong to us,” he added.

But, Dr. Subramanian Swamy, founder of Virat Hindustan Sangam, has claimed that China has “grabbed” thousands of square kilometers (4,056 sq km) of “undisputed land” in Ladakh since April 2020. He has suggested that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government may be “prima facie compromised by China” due to its response to the situation. RSS never commented on this.

Challenges for the RSS

The RSS’s efforts to promote a unified Hindu identity face challenges on multiple fronts. While the organization struggles to connect with a significant portion of Hindus, it is also attempting to reach out to the Muslim population with claims of shared DNA and identity. However, this approach has been met with skepticism, with many Muslims, Christians, and secular elements refusing to accept the RSS’s narrative.

The debate surrounding Bhagwat’s claims highlights the complexities of identity, nationalism, and belonging in India. As the country continues to navigate these issues, the RSS’s role and approach will likely remain a topic of discussion and controversy.

Actually, even throughout its long journey to its centenary, the RSS has failed to connect with less than 20% of Hindus regarding its ideological concepts; however, it is attempting to win the hearts of India’s entire 20% Muslim population with a false ‘Same DNA – We are one’ claim. But Muslims, Christians, Communists, and the majority of secular elements in India reject the RSS Chief’s vision. Believers in the Quran, Bible, Das Kapital, and the Red Book, Twenty-two vows of Ambedkar among others, do not adhere to the RSS Chief’s speech. Factually, ‘I Love Muhammad’ and ‘I Love Mahadeva’ can’t be the same anyway.
