Zohran Mamdani: A Covert Islamist Attempting to Capture NYC with Hindu Connection Rhetoric.

Muslim aspirant Zohran Mamdani wants to capture NYC Mayoral Power playing a Hindu sentiment.

Upananda Brahmachari | HENB | New Delhi | Oct 8, 2025:: Zohran Mamdani, a Democratic Socialist and Muslim candidate, is running for mayor of New York City, leveraging his Hindu heritage to appeal to the Indian-American community. Mamdani, who has been endorsed by prominent Democrats like former Vice President Kamala Harris and New York Governor Kathy Hochul, has visited Hindu temples in Queens, speaking about his connection to the faith.

Mamdani’s Hindu Connection

Mamdani’s mother Filmmaker Mira Nair is Hindu, and he claims to have been influenced by Hindu values and traditions. In a recent speech, he said, “I am proud that my mother’s family is Hindu… I grew up with a keen understanding, whilst myself being a Muslim, what Hinduism means.” He highlighted the importance of Hindu festivals like Diwali, Raksha Bandhan, and Holi in teaching him valuable life lessons.

Criticism, Controversy and Taqqiya

However, critics argue that Mamdani’s attempts to connect with Hindus are insincere, pointing to his past actions and statements. In 2020, he led a protest against the Ram Mandir temple inauguration, where anti-Hindu slogans were reportedly chanted. Mamdani has also been accused of using derogatory language against Hindus and spreading hate. Mamdani’s mother, Mira Nair, is a vocal critic of Hindu nationalism and has expressed support for Islamist Palestine including Jihadi Hamas. In 2020, Mira joined other anti-Hindu prominent figures in signing an open letter condemning India’s Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA) and the National Register of Citizens (NRC), expressing solidarity with the Muslim protesters.  Some have accused Mamdani of using “Taqqiya” or telling lies for personal benefit to raise Islam in the US.

Campaign Promises and Endorsements

Mamdani’s campaign focuses on affordability, expanding public services, and social reform. He proposed taxing the wealthy, providing free bus service, and increasing affordable housing. Despite his progressive platform, some Democratic leaders, including Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, have not endorsed him. Mamdani’s campaign has received backing from prominent progressives like Senator Bernie Sanders and Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. Mamdani also received endorsements from top Democrats, including former VP Kamala Harris, who is infamous for her anti-Hindu and Pro-Pakistani stand points.

The Race for New York City Mayor

Mamdani is currently leading in the polls as per survey, with 44% of likely voters supporting him, followed by former Governor Andrew Cuomo, who is running as an independent, with 25%. Republican candidate Curtis Sliwa trails with 12%. The election outcome may significantly impact New York City’s future, particularly regarding issues like affordability, public safety, and social services.

Zohran didn’t even bother to remove his shoes in the sacred premises of the temple he visited, but he still tries to portray himself as a supporter of Hindu traditions. Talk about hypocrisy!

It is alleged that Islamists in various forms are planning to capture political power in the US in different ways. Therefore, it is not wise to consider Zohran Mamdani as the fittest mayoral candidate in NYC solely based on his strong Islamic beliefs and legacy. He is not at all a Hindu sympathizer; he may be  an Islamic agent in the US.
