WB Rape Hub: Five Muslims Arrested in Hindu Medical Student’s Gang Rape Case in Durgapur.

Five ‘Dudhel Gais’ (milking cows as referred to by the WB CM). i.e., Muslims have been arrested by police in connection with the gang rape of a Hindu medical student in a Durgapur medical college.

The name of her friend was revealed as Wasif Ali. Reportedly, Wasif was trying to exploit the victim in multiple ways. However, being rebuffed by the girl, Wasif might have chosen a sadistic way to retaliate. Thus, a tangled web of Love Jihad came to an end.

Sabita Paul | HENB | Kolkata | Oct 13, 2025: A second-year Hindu medical student from Odisha studying at a private medical college in Durgapur was allegedly gangraped on October 10 by Muslim rapists. According to her father, a male classmate (reportedly a Muslim student) took her out under the pretext of getting food, after which two to three men assaulted her, and the classmate fled. He also alleged that the college authorities failed to take any action after the incident. Police teams inspected and sealed the crime scene. Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi condemned the incident, calling it “highly condemnable and painful,” and urged West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee to ensure strict legal action. The Odisha CMO said senior officials are coordinating with West Bengal Police and supporting the victim’s family. The National Commission for Women took suo motu cognizance of the case, demanding swift arrests and sending member Dr. Archana Majumdar to review the probe. West Bengal Police have arrested five accused, and investigations are ongoing.

According to the News Bangla, the arrested persons are five ‘Dudhel Gais,’ i.e., Muslims, in connection with the Durgapur Private Medical College gang rape case. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has used the term ‘Dudhel Gai’ (Bengali for “milking cows”) in different contexts, referring to the Muslim communities that provide her party with significant electoral support. The specific meaning depends on the context of her speech, and the phrase has been interpreted in various ways by the media and political analysts.  In the pretext of the communal stir in WB  in 2019, WB CM referred to this Dudhel Gai in a press conference, what is even seen in an available video uploaded by ‘Politics Pe Charcha’.

Other source says that in May 2019, following her party’s performance in the Lok Sabha election, Banerjee used the “milch cow” phrase herself. She stated, “I appease Muslims… Will do it 100 times as there is no harm in taking kicks from a cow that gives you milk”. This comment was widely interpreted as her assertion that she would continue to support minorities, even if it led to political criticism.  

The Hindu victim, a medical college student hailing from Odisha’s Jaleswar, was allegedly raped by some men on Friday night outside the campus of the private medical college in Durgapur, police said on Saturday. The survivor had reportedly gone out with one of her friends for dinner, police said. The name of her friend was revealed as Wasif Ali. Reportedly, Wasif was trying to exploit the victim in multiple ways. However, being rebuffed by the girl, Wasif might have chosen a sadistic way to retaliate. Thus, a tangled web of Love Jihad came to an end.

Investigators said that three men initially surrounded the student and snatched away her phone when she tried to call her friends for help. Two more persons later joined them, and together the five men allegedly raped her.

The accused also offered her ₹5,000 to leave quietly, police sources said.

The survivor’s male friend, who was accompanying her, is currently al;so under police detention for questioning.

The second-year Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) student is undergoing treatment at the hospital itself and has given her statement to the police.

Meanwhile, the case triggered a political slugfest in Bengal after Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee asked why the student had stepped out of the campus at night. “We take cases like these very seriously in Bengal. Three persons have been arrested, and the investigation is ongoing. But how could the student leave the campus at night? How did she come out at 12.30 at night?  It is a forest area. The private medical college must take care of its students,” she said.

While Mamata later clarified that her statement had been distorted, the Bharatiya Janata Party slammed her for resorting to victim-blaming.

BJP national spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia called Banerjee a “blot on womanhood.”

Meanwhile, the father of a 23-year-old Dalit Hindu woman, who was allegedly gang-raped in West Bengal’s Durgapur, appealed to the Odisha government to shift her to Bhubaneswar for treatment, citing a threat to her life.

“I appeal to Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi to help shift my daughter to Bhubaneswar. I fear that her life may be in danger,” the father told PTI over the phone from Durgapur on Sunday.

“I am hiding in Durgapur, while my wife, a diabetic, stands at the bedside of our daughter in the hospital,” the frightened father added.

“They could kill her here any moment. That’s why we want to take her back to Odisha. Trust has been lost. We don’t want her to stay in Bengal. She will pursue her education in Odisha,” the father told news agency ANI.

Additional District Magistrate of Balasore, Hemant Singh, who visited the hospital, said, “The West Bengal Police have arrested three people within 36 hours of the incident. We are satisfied and hope that justice will be done to the victim.”

A four-member team from the Balasore district administration, including District Social Welfare Officer Jyotsna Mohanty, also met the family.

“The survivor’s condition is gradually improving. We have assured the family that the Odisha government stands firmly with them. Necessary coordination is being maintained with the West Bengal Police,” Mohanty said.

According to the X posting by LoP WB Suvendu Adhikari, the arrested rape culprits (read Rape Jihadists) are Sheikh Nasim Uddin, Sheikh Riyaz Uddin, Sheikh Firdous, and Sheikh Safikul. All are from nearby Bijra village. The name of the fifth rapist was not divulged by News Bangla, but was mentioned as Dudhel Gai, i.e., a Muslim one.

The News Minute mentioned the name of some ‘Apu Bera’ hinting the victim’s boy friend  in the list of the arrested persons, who might not be a Dudhel Gai as claimed by News Bangla. But, our source retrieved the name as Wasif Ali. Actually, The News Minute tried to paint a secular colour on this ‘Rape Jihad’.

The Leader of Opposition in West Bengal State Assembly condemned WB CM Mamata Banerjee by saying, “The repeated instances of sexual offences at Educational Institutions & Medical Colleges and Hospitals, be it RG Kar, Kasba Law College, Panskura Hospital or Durgapur expose your inability to take corrective measures. “

West Bengal was turned into a rape hub by the TMC goons in coordination with a particular community.
