Trump’s America: Masked Protesters in Texas Slam ‘Diwali Garbage’, Spark Widespread Outrage.

Masked Men in Texas Spark Outrage with Anti-Diwali, Anti-Hindu Protest.

What is happening in Trump’s America. Is this the way to Make America Great Again?

Upananda Brahmachari | HENB | New Delhi | Oct 26, 2025:: A disturbing incident has unfolded in Texas, where a group of masked men, identifying themselves as “Take Action Texas,” staged a protest against Diwali, calling it “Diwali garbage” and labeling Hindu deities as “foreign demons.” The group’s actions have been widely condemned by Hindu organizations and community leaders, who see this as a blatant display of Hinduphobia and hate speech.

The Protest

The masked men, who remain unidentified, held placards with inflammatory messages, including “Don’t India my Texas” and “Deport H-1B scammers.” One of the placards featured images of Hindu gods with a red cross marked through them, accompanied by the slogan “Reject foreign demons. Jesus Christ is lord.” The group claimed this was their “9th point of activism for October,” raising concerns about the organized nature of the protest.

Condemnation from Hindu Groups

The Coalition of Hindus of North America (CoHNA) strongly condemned the protest, urging the Indian-American community to exercise caution. “We hope that the city of Irving takes note and ensures the safety of Hindus in the area,” CoHNA said in a statement.

The Hindu American Foundation also expressed concerns about the worsening situation for Hindus in the US, citing a rise in anti-Indian rhetoric and Hinduphobia.

A Growing Trend of Hinduphobia

This incident is part of a larger trend of Hinduphobia in the US, often linked to criticism of H-1B visas. The Hindu American Foundation has noted that criticism of H-1B visas has morphed into online Hinduphobia and anti-Indian racism. Politicians and candidates have also been accused of fueling this rhetoric, with some calling for mass deportations of Indians.

Community Reaction

The incident has sparked outrage among the Indian-American community, with many condemning the protest as hate speech. “Hindus worship peace, harmony, and the well-being of all. To see such hatred and intolerance is disheartening,” said a member of the community.

Ensuring Safety and Promoting Dialogue

The city of Irving and local authorities have been urged to take note of this incident and ensure the safety of the Hindu community. It is essential to promote dialogue and understanding between different communities to prevent such incidents in the future.

Key Quotes

– “H1-B criticism morphed into online Hinduphobia and anti-Indian racism. Then city council members and political candidates began calling for mass deportations. Now masked men are loitering on sidewalks calling Hindu divinity ‘foreign demons.’ What’s next? We must be prepared.” – Hindu American Council
– “Reject foreign demons. Jesus Christ is lord.” – Placard at the protest
– “Don’t India my Texas. Deport H-1B scammers.” – Placard at the protest

Make America Great Again!

What is happening in Trump’s America is disturbing enough and  not the way to Make America Great Again. Earlier, the MAGA (Make America Great Again) episode connecting to Diwali celebrations involves FBI Director Kash Patel and President Donald Trump caused a great embarrassment.  Both Trump and Patel extended Diwali greetings, but their messages sparked controversy among some MAGA supporters. Now, Donald Trump’s MAGA slogan seems to be misaligned with his tough stance on H-1B visas for Indians and trade-tariffs.

Kash Patel, who became the first Indian-American to lead the FBI, posted “Happy Diwali – celebrating the Festival of Lights around the world, as good triumphs over evil” on X, drawing both support and severe backlash. Some users trolled Patel with racist remarks, telling him to “go back” to India, while others appreciated his message.

Similarly, when President Trump extended Diwali greetings, some of his MAGA supporters reacted negatively, interpreting the gesture as inconsistent with the “Make America Great Again” ethos. Critics argued that referencing Indian culture appeared to contradict their cultural identity, with some even spreading misconceptions about Hindu practices.

Notably, other prominent figures like Tulsi Gabbard and Nikki Haley also faced online harassment for sharing Diwali greetings, with some calling Diwali “un-American” and demanding the deportation of Indians,
