Hridya Bharti | HENB | Bengaluru | Oct 29, 2025:: A Muslim Bangladeshi national, identified as Kabir Mondal, was arrested in Bengaluru for allegedly trying to raise religious slogans inside a temple, sparking tension in the area. Mondal, who was reportedly residing in the city illegally, entered the Venugopal Temple in Devarabeesanahalli on Tuesday morning for a desecration and shouted “Allah Hu Akbar.” He also attempted to attack the idols at the temple entrance with his footwear, prompting a swift reaction from the local crowd.

The Incident

According to eyewitnesses, Mondal barged into the temple, shouting slogans and trying to attack the idols. The crowd quickly apprehended him and tied him to a pole until the police arrived. The locals demanded strict action against Mondal, calling for both the Centre and the state to take decisive measures.

Police Action

The police registered a First Information Report (FIR) against Mondal and arrested him. A separate case has also been filed against the individuals who assaulted him before the police arrived. Authorities are currently investigating Mondal’s nationality, immigration status, and the motive behind his actions.
