  Family background firm on Sanatan ideology

  Senior journalist Suresh Bahadur Singh says,

  

  Raja Bhaiya’s image has often been shaped by media perceptions- sometimes as a Thakur, sometimes as a Bahubali. In reality, his family has always been firm Sanatan followers. They have long been devotees of Devraha Baba, associated with Gorakh Peeth, and linked to the Ram Temple movement. The family has often been seen meeting saints during the Mahakumbh.

  

  Current CM Yogi Adityanath also supports the Sanatan and Hindutva ideology, while Dhirendra Shastri’s presence in the Sanatan Yatra, Singh says, was spiritual rather than political.

  Political analyst Anand Rai echoes this, noting that Raja Bhaiya is well-versed in religious matters and speaks with reason. Though his Sanatan identity has brought him political advantage locally, his approach, Rai says, has never been for political gain.

  

Before the Sanatan Yatra, Raja Bhaiya had appealed through a video on social media to make it successful. Then he had said that this Sanatan Yatra, which started from Delhi under the leadership of Bageshwar Dham Dhirendra Shastri, aims to spread awareness among Sanatani people, uproot casteism and strengthen Hindu ekta. Additionally, the yatra’s objectives focus on issues like the construction of a grand temple at Lord Krishna’s birthplace in Mathura and the cleanliness of Mother Yamuna.

He had said for himself that he would continue to be part of this journey. In Faridabad, he joined the journey and said that casteism is the biggest curse of our Hindu society, it needs to be eliminated. He gave the slogan – Bid farewell to caste discrimination, we are all Hindu brothers.

Political analyst Anand Rai says,

Raja Bhaiya comes from the Kshatriya community, which doesn’t have enough base in UP for him to establish his political identity solely on its strength. UP’s entire politics is based on caste. In such a situation, only the tremendous force of Hindutva can blunt the edge of caste politics. Raja Bhaiya’s effort is also to move forward with his family’s established image along with the Hindutva image.

How much will hard core Hindutva benefit in 2027?

Suresh Bahadur Singh responded to this. He said that currently BJP has moved far ahead on the Hindutva issue. With their presence, there is very little hope for anyone else’s politics to emerge on the pitch of Hindutva in UP. Raja Bhaiya may be successful in his area of influence. However, he cannot establish his party across the entire state.

Senior journalist Anand Rai explains this same point in a different way. He says that Raja Bhaiya’s sphere of influence includes districts like Pratapgarh, Kaushambi etc. BJP’s performance in this region is generally weak anyway. It’s possible that in 2027, Raja Bhaiya’s party Jansatta Dal Loktantrik could emerge as BJP’s new ally. Although there is no discussion about this anywhere right now. But politics is a game of possibilities. Anything can happen anytime in this.

An alliance with Raja Bhaiya will be more beneficial for BJP. Explaining the mathematics, Anand Rai says,

It’s obvious that Jansatta Dal will definitely contest the assembly elections. Then whatever votes their candidates get will directly harm BJP. Whereas with an alliance, BJP can benefit the most. When BJP benefits, it’s obvious that Raja Bhaiya will also benefit from it.

How many saints and holy men have blessed Raja Bhaiya

Raja Bhaiya went to visit Maa Vindhyavasini in Mirzapur on November 8. Photos of this are posted on his social media page. Besides this, his pictures often appear worshipping Bajrangbali who resides in the Benti Mahal premises.

He was also part of Dhirendra Shastri’s first Sanatan Yatra. At that time, this journey went from Bageshwar Dham to Orchha. Raja Bhaiya joined this yatra in Jhansi. Then Baba had praised him saying, ‘Raja Bhaiya is a Hanuman devotee and Sanatan lover. His nature is humble and he thinks a lot for Sanatan.’

During Prayagraj 2025 Mahakumbh, Raja Bhaiya’s photos and videos with blessings from Devkinandan Thakur, Santosh Das, Chinmaydas Bapu, Rishi Parashar, and Sant Ramdas went quite viral. He had also launched a strong attack in the assembly against the opposition, especially SP, who were questioning the Prayagraj Mahakumbh.

Raja Bhaiya had made a secret donation of 4-5 crores for Ram Temple construction. He had even started his journey by having darshan of Ramlalla in Ayodhya during the 2022 assembly elections.

In 2024, he attended Raghavacharya Maharaj’s Bhagwat Katha in Patti Karmahi, Devvrat Maharaj’s katha in Patauwa Hathigaon in September 2025, Rajan Ji Maharaj’s katha in Pratapgarh Kunda and Rajesh Shukla Maharaj’s katha in Ramapur in October 2025.

Raja Bhaiya’s this statement in Mahakumbh was most discussed

In Mahakumbh, Raja Bhaiya had said,

We should be concerned about the state our Sanatan Dharma is in. In our country, anti-national forces and anti-Hindutva forces are raising their heads. Hindu way of life is being lost.

Just imagine, today not in one but many places, whether it’s the Durga idol immersion procession or Hanuman Jayanti procession, Hindus are being stoned everywhere. Hindus are being killed. Because there is a section that wants Sanatan to end. Therefore, we all need to come forward very vocally. We need to make our coming generations and children aware about religion.

Sanatan Dharma is not just about finding our path to virtue or salvation. The true responsibility of Sanatani people is to keep Sanatan strong and stable. Casteism is a conspiracy by political parties to weaken Sanatan and divide Hindus for their own benefit. We need to stay alert about this too.
