The ‘Dead Hand of Islam’ caused the Bondi Beach massacre. Ban Islamic excesses in Australia to save the country.

In August 1979, Colin Maine wrote a book titled “The Dead Hand of Islam“. The book was published by the Rationalist Association of New South Wales, located at 58 Regent Street, Chippendale, NSW 2008, Australia. Although the book is not widely available, it has niche accessibility on the internet and is held by the National Library of Australia (Main Reading Room), Bib ID: 2903834, Call No. Np 297.4 M225, ISBN 0950088595.

Despite its archival presence, it is doubtful whether the majority of secular Australians are aware of this book. Even Prime Minister Anthony Norman Albanese may have had little opportunity to engage with its contents or to assess the arguments advanced by Maine.

Colin Maine was a reputed writer during the 1980s and 1990s. His works include The Dead Hand of Islam, Religion and Madness, and The Unpleasant Personality of Jesus Christ. Detailed biographical information about Maine is not easily available, and he is believed to have died in November 2018. Had he been alive during the period of national grief and dismay following the Bondi Beach massacre in late 2025, it is conceivable that he would have felt frustration that his warnings, articulated in 1979, had not gained wider public attention.

The Bondi Beach Massacre by two home grown Islamist

On Sunday evening, thousands of people gathered at Sydney’s iconic Bondi Beach. Some sought relief from the oppressive summer heat, while others attended a Hanukkah celebration organized by a local Jewish group to mark the festival of light. Advertisements promoted a petting farm, face painting, and donuts, and proclaimed the aim to “fill Bondi with joy and light.”

Hours later, the scene turned into what witnesses described as a bloodbath.

For approximately 10 to 20 minutes, two gunmen opened fire on attendees, killing men, women, and children as terrified beachgoers fled. More than a dozen people were killed, and at least 40 were wounded, some critically, including two police officers.

Reuters reconstructed the sequence of events through interviews with more than a dozen witnesses, statements from police and officials, video footage of the shooting, and media reports. Police did not officially name the suspects. However, state media outlet ABC and other organizations identified them as Sajid Akram and his son, Naveed, the two deadly home grown Islamist.

According to police, the two men had gathered six firearms owned by the father, along with multiple improvised explosive devices. The father was a registered firearms owner and a member of a gun club.

The suspects were residing in a sparsely furnished Airbnb in the southwestern Sydney suburb of Campsie, according to ABC. However, the Sydney Morning Herald reported that the 24-year-old son, an unemployed bricklayer, had told his mother that he and his 50-year-old father, a shop owner, were on a weekend fishing trip along Australia’s eastern coast.

In October 2019, Australia’s intelligence agency examined the son for possible ties to a self-proclaimed Islamic State terrorist, Prime Minister Albanese stated at a press conference. The agency concluded there was “no indication of any ongoing threat.”

We did not heed the interpretation of Islam as explored in ‘The Dead Hand of Islam’ by Maine in 1979, nor did we neutralize Naveed based on the 2019 intelligence reports. Now, Australia has paid the high cost of it, succumbing to the Bondi Beach Tragedy in 2025.

On Sunday evening, the two men allegedly left improvised explosive devices in a silver car near Bondi’s beachfront before heading toward the beach. Video footage shows two figures dressed in black positioned on a concrete bridge overlooking the park and crowded shoreline. Bystander videos captured both men firing high-powered firearms from this elevated position toward the Jews Hanukkah event.

Additional footage shows the older shooter moving closer to the festival site and firing directly at attendees. A separate phone video shows a man identified by local media as Sydney resident Ahmed al Ahmed hiding behind a nearby car. As the older shooter continued firing, Ahmed emerged, tackled him from behind, disarmed him, and pointed the weapon at him while retreating. Ahmed was shot twice and was hospitalized.

Drone footage later showed the older shooter lying prone on the bridge while the younger attacker moved back and forth before collapsing. Further footage shows police officers rushing onto the bridge, subduing both men, and attempting resuscitation. Police later confirmed that the older suspect died of his wounds.

As darkness fell, police searched the beach using flashlights, reportedly recovering evidence. ABC reported that an Islamic State flag was found in the suspects’ car.

The death toll later reached 16. Prime Minister Albanese described the December 14 Bondi massacre as an act of religious extremism.

Media Narratives and Interpretive Claims

In the aftermath, some media outlets emphasized Ahmed al Ahmed’s actions as a heroic example of what they described as “good Islam.” This narrative, while highlighting individual courage, drew criticism for diverting attention from the ideological motivations of the attackers.

At this juncture, commentators invoked Colin Maine’s The Dead Hand of Islam, in which Islam is described as a challenge to civilization. Maine supported his argument through selected Quranic citations addressing warfare and religious exclusivity.

Disgustingly, no media house, no journalist, and no political party are coming forward to condemn the fatality of Islam all around and its endangering possibilities. Rather, they are trying to delineate their narratives on the Israel-Palestine war behind the Bondi Massacre as a natural outcome from Muslims.

According to ABC, Bondi terrorists travelled to Philippines for ‘military-style training’, even then Islam is a Religion of Peace.

In a shocking revelation, it has been asserted that the Muslim father-son duo Sajid and Naveed responsible for the deadly Bondi Beach attack on a Jews Hanukkah celebration, which claimed 16 lives, were of Hyderabad origin, India. This bombshell detail has sent shockwaves across the globe, raising questions about the roots of radicalization and the role of background in shaping extremist ideologies. Father Sajid  had migrated to Australia 27 years ago and reportedly maintained limited contact with his family back home. But, in this long period of 27 years, the attackers could not become familiar with Australia and Australians in a natural and diverse setting. They remained Islamist at core.

Colin Maine’s Quranic Citations

In the ‘The Dead Hand of Islam’ Colin Maine explicitly described Islam as a challenge to civilization and cited Quran to strengthen his argument pointing Islamic ‘Intolerance  Towards Other Religions’.

In 1979, Colin wrote:

Islam is the only religion in the world which teaches that converts can be won at the point of a sword. The Koran [S47.4] says that those who won’t accept Islam are to be killed. “When ye encounter the unbelievers, strike off their heads, until ye have made a great slaughter among them.”

The Koran [S9.29] says: “Fight those who believe not in Allah” and says that Moslems are to fight against non-believers until “there prevail justice and faith in Allah altogether and everywhere.” [S8.39]

We have already seen what kind of justice exists when Islam is established as the religion of a country.

“Fighting is prescribed for you, and ye dislike. But it is possible that ye dislike a thing which is good for you.” [S2.216] “If anyone desires a religion other than Islam (submission to Allah). Never will it be accepted of him.” [S3.85]

The Koran [S22.45] says: “How many populations have we destroyed.”

A great deal is made of the tolerance of Islam towards Christianity and Judaism. This is exaggerated. Islam was more tolerant towards these two religions than it was towards paganism, but that is not saying much.

Mohammed regarded the Christian doctrine of the trinity as being the worship of three gods. [S5.76]

Also that the central teaching of Christianity – that Jesus is the son of god is blasphemous. [S5.75]

This same verse 75 says that those who believe these two things will go to hell. The Koran [S5.54] says: “O ye who believe! Take not the Jews and the Christians for your friends and protectors. They are friends and protectors to each other.”

It should be remembered that the Moslems delivered an entirely unprovoked attack on many Christian countries. When they took Christian Constantinople the streets ran with blood.

A great part of the Moslem empire consisted of countries that had formerly been Christian.

Just before Mohammed died, he expressed the wish that there “not remain any faith but that of Islam throughout the whole land of Arabia.”

In accordance with his wishes the Jews and Christians were expelled from that country.

Maine emphatically discussed Islam’s theological critique of Christianity, citing S5.76 regarding the Trinity and S5.75 concerning the divinity of Jesus. He further referenced S5.54, warning against alliances with Jews and Christians. Maine established the Truth of Quran as a Hand Book of Jihad’, full of terror, intolerance, and hate speech and an instrument of scrapping all Rights and Liberty of Women as a clan of slave and inferior creature. But, we did not care for his understanding of ‘Radical Islam’ and paved the way of Jihadi Massacre of  Bondi Beach.

It’s our sheer misunderstanding of Islam, including ignorance and incapacity to understand Islam as it really exists, and it’s more fatal for humanity.

According to Islamic faith, Non-Muslims are Kafir (non-believers) and subject to being slain by any means.

If the Austrian authorities and law enforcement agencies had taken the essence of “The Dead Hand of Islam” in time, the Jihadi massacre in Bondi Beach could have been averted surely.

The Bondi Beach Terror Attack will not be the end in Australia if the citizens of Australia do not take strong steps against the invasion of Islam in the country.

To save Australia, PM Albanese and his Ministers should take two steps immediately.

First, introduce Colin Maine’s “The Dead Hand of Islam” as a compulsory textbook in school and college curricula, and second, ban Islamic excesses in the country to save humanity in this peaceful, diverse, and culturally enriched continent.

Stop New Mosques, Adhan Honk, Burqa, Sharia, Halal, Street Namaz, Radical Islamic Conferences in Australia. Otherwise, Australia may become another Islamic State within the coming 30 years, even in a less span of time.
