Nationwide Plan: Over One Lakh Conferences Across India

According to senior RSS functionaries, the all-India target exceeds 1,00,000 Hindu Sammelans, to be organised across urban centres, towns and rural settlements in every state. These gatherings are intended to reach society at the most local level, covering neighbourhoods, bastis and mandals.

While a comprehensive state-wise breakup has not yet been officially released, regional units have begun announcing figures as preparations move into the final phase. RSS leaders indicated that detailed numbers from other states would be shared progressively in the coming weeks.

Uttar Pradesh

Among the regions where official figures are available, Uttar Pradesh—particularly the Braj province—has emerged as a major focus area of the centenary outreach.

  • Around 2,000 Hindu Sammelans
  • Spread across 12 RSS-defined districts
  • Covering nearly 3,000 bastis, mandals and urban settlements
  • Conferences scheduled between January 15 and February 15

“These conferences aim to bring together the entire Hindu society and convey a message of unity while strengthening social connections at the grassroots,” said Kirti Kumar, Publicity Head of the BrajpJanuary, with active participation from provincial, regional and district-level office-bearers.

District-Level Outreach: Mathura as a Key Hub

Providing micro-level details, Jagdish Prasad, Regional Prachar Pramukh, inMathura district alone will host around 150 Hindu Sammelans.

  • Covering 76 urban settlements

The district-level focus, RSS functionaries said, is aimed at ensuring that the centenary message reaches households directly rather than remaining confined to large centralised events.

Themes: Unity Beyond Caste and Class

According to RSS officials, discussions at the Sammelans will centre on:

• Social harmony and unity
• Overcoming caste- and class-based divisions
• Reinforcing a shared Hindu identity
• The five transformative changeswater

The gatherings will feature addresses by intellectuals, teachers, doctors, engineers, women representatives, saints and other prominent citizens. Each Sammelan will also include local cultural programmes and conclude with a community meal, symbolising equality and collective participation.

Political Context: Poll-Bound Uttar Pradesh Under Spotlight

While the RSS has officially projected the Hindu Sammelans as social and cultural initiatives linked to its centenary celebrations, the intensified focus on Uttar Pradesh has drawn political attention,

Although RSS leaders have refrained from publicly linking the Sammelans to electoral outcomes, the timing, scale and geographic concentration of the outreach—especially in politically sensitive regions—are being closely watched.

State-Wise Breakup Awaited as Rollout Begins

RSS functionaries confirmed that every state and major region will host Hindu Sammelans as part of the centenary celebrations, making the initiative one of the most extensive coordinated social outreach exercises undertaken by the organisation in its 100-year history.
