Strong Remarks of Great Khali Defending Sanatan Hindu Dharma at Vrindavan Event Spark Debate.

“Make the opponents squat like chickens “, ‘The Great Khali’ lashes out at those targeting Sanatan Hindu Dharma.

Upendra Bharti | HENB | Mathura | Jan 18, 2026:: WWE legend and former World Heavyweight Champion Dalip Singh Rana, popularly known as The Great Khali, on Sunday delivered a forceful defence of Sanatan Hindu Dharma while addressing the Sanatan Influencer Award programme in Vrindavan. Known for his blunt and outspoken style, Khali’s remarks—particularly his call to “make opponents squat like chickens”—have drawn attention and sparked discussion across social and political circles.

Addressing a gathering of saints, religious leaders, and followers, Khali strongly criticised those who, in his words, “raise their voices against Sanatan Hindu Dharma.” In an unequivocal statement, he said such opponents should be dealt with firmly so that they “do not raise their voices again,” using a phrase that reflected his trademark stern tone.

During his address, Khali lauded the efforts of spiritual leader Devkinandan Maharaj for working towards uniting followers of Sanatan Dharma. “The step taken by Devkinandan Maharaj to unite the followers of Sanatan Dharma is commendable,” Khali said. “We are proud that we have such saints in our country who are living for the national interest and religion without any self-interest.” He added that he considers himself fortunate to have opportunities to serve his faith.

The former wrestling icon also expressed concern over what he described as attacks on Sanatanis in different parts of the world, specifically referring to recent incidents in Bangladesh. Calling such developments “very wrong,” Khali urged unity among followers of Sanatan Dharma. “We all have to come together so that no one can target us in the future,” he said, framing unity as the key response to perceived threats.

When asked directly about his message to critics and opponents of Sanatan Dharma, Khali reiterated his earlier stance, stating, “All the Sanatanis should unite and make the opponents squat like chickens,” a remark that quickly became the most talked-about line of the event.

Beyond religious issues, Khali also used the platform to motivate young people to take up sports and prioritise physical fitness. Emphasising the link between health and national strength, he said, “Young people should participate in sports as much as possible, as staying fit is not only a personal need but also vital for the nation.” He connected youth fitness to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of India as a global leader, adding that a healthy and active generation is essential for realising that goal.

Khali’s comments, delivered at a religious and cultural event, underline the growing intersection of celebrity influence, faith-based mobilisation, and public discourse. While his supporters view his remarks as a passionate call for unity and self-assertion, critics argue that such language risks escalating tensions. The statements have once again placed the spotlight on how public figures frame religious identity and dissent in contemporary India.

Notably, The Great Khali also extended his public support to the Sanatan Hindu Ekta Padayatra led by Bageshwar Dham pontiff Dhirendra Krishna Shastri in November last, joining the campaign and aligning himself with its call for Sanatan unity and cultural assertion.
