Sunetra Singh | HENB | New Delhi | March 13, 2026:: When RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat dedicated his life to promoting Hindu-Muslim unity on the basis of the ‘Same DNA’ theory, including the ‘Same Ancestors of Hindu and Muslim in India’ narrative, a dangerous Islamic module has been unearthed in Ghaziabad, designed to perpetuate the Ghazwa-e-Hind mission to annihilate Hindus from the soil of India.
In a development that has raised high security concerns in western Uttar Pradesh, the Ghaziabad Police on Thursday arrested six residents of Nahal village in the Masuri area on charges of alleged anti-national activities and for propagating the ideology of the Pakistan-based terrorist organisation Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM). Authorities say the case is under detailed investigation.
According to officials, the six accused have been identified as Shavez alias Jihadi (20), Mohammad Junaid (23), Mohammad Fardeen (22), Ikram Ali (36), Fazru Dafedar (46), and Mohammad Javed (45). All of them are residents of Nahal village in Rajapur block.
The case has been registered under several serious legal provisions, including:
In addition, Sections 18, 38, and 39 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) have been invoked. These provisions relate to terror conspiracy, providing support to a terrorist organisation, and association with such organisations.
Police officials said the arrests followed online surveillance conducted by cyber and social-media monitoring teams.
“During surveillance, our social media teams learned that several people in Nahal village were involved in anti-national activities. During the investigation, the names of six men came to light, and they were arrested,”
— Surendra Nath Tiwari, DCP (Rural), Ghaziabad
According to investigators, the suspects were allegedly following and sharing content related to Jaish-e-Mohammed and Farhatullah Ghori through social media platforms. Sources say that the arrested persons were radicalized with the theory of Gazwa-e-Hind, aiming to annihilate Hindu Kafirs in India to establish an Islamic State accordingly by 2047.
The Ministry of Home Affairs has listed Farhatullah Ghori as an individual terrorist under the UAPA.
Police described Shavez, a Class-12 educated worker at a grocery shop, as a central figure in the group.
During interrogation, investigators claim that Shavez told them he became influenced after watching extremist material online. Police allege that he shared such content with the other five suspects, encouraging them to follow similar channels and videos.
Authorities claim the group was circulating and discussing ideological material linked to the banned terror outfit, though investigators are still assessing the extent of their activities.
Officials said details of the suspects and their digital activities will be shared with central intelligence agencies to determine whether the group had broader operational connections.
Sources within the investigation indicated that police are examining the possible modus operandi of the alleged network, including:
Investigators emphasized that the inquiry is ongoing and evidence is still being gathered.
Nahal village has drawn attention before. In May 2025, a Noida police constable was shot dead during a police operation in the area, after which authorities arrested 23 suspects and filed chargesheets in connection with that case.
The arrests come amid continuing debates in India about social cohesion and communal harmony. Even, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat had publicly spoken about the shared ancestry of Indians, including Hindus and Muslims, emphasizing the idea of unity rooted in a common civilizational heritage. But majority sections of Muslims in India are engrossed in the idea of Ghazwa-e-Hind to make India an Islamic state through Jihad. Simply put, they are not ready to accept the concept of Hindu-Muslim unity as advocated by the RSS Chief or anybody.
Security agencies, meanwhile, continue to monitor online radicalization and extremist propaganda, which experts say has become an increasingly significant challenge due to the reach of social media platforms.
Sources divulged that the police are investigating the modus operandi of the unearthed module linked with suspected money laundering, terrorism, and running Islamic institutions, mosques and madrasas to escalate Jihadi activism in Uttar Pradesh and other states.
