Shruti Jain | HENB | Jaipur | March 20, 2026:: The Rajasthan unit of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) has launched a round-the-clock helpline aimed at addressing complaints related to what it describes as “love jihad,” “land jihad,” and religious conversion. The initiative, announced on Friday, will be centrally monitored from Jaipur and is intended to provide immediate assistance and guidance to members of the Hindu community.

According to VHP representatives, the helpline has been introduced in response to what they characterize as a growing number of such incidents across the state. Speaking at the launch, the organisation’s central spokesperson Amitosh Pareek, along with state co-minister Vivek Diwakar and helpline coordinator Narendra Gaur, emphasized the need for heightened vigilance.

They stated that recent developments have underscored the importance of collective awareness and cooperation. “Society needs to remain vigilant in light of recent incidents. Only through cooperation and solidarity can such issues be effectively addressed,” the leaders said.

Vivek Diwakar noted that the helpline is designed to serve as a direct point of contact for individuals who may feel they are not receiving adequate support elsewhere. “The helpline has been launched to ensure that people facing difficulties can directly reach out to the organisation, particularly in cases where they may not receive adequate assistance,” he said. He further confirmed that all operations will be centrally coordinated from Jaipur.

Amitosh Pareek also claimed that cases involving alleged “love jihad” and “land Jihad” -illegal land encroachment have been reported in various parts of Rajasthan. He added that the helpline will remain especially active during upcoming religious festivals such as Ram Navami and Hanuman Jayanti, with the aim of ensuring timely support during these periods.

Pareek further argued that there is a perceived lack of an effective support system for such concerns, both within Rajasthan and nationally. He stated that the VHP launched the helpline in response to what it sees as a reliance on the organisation for assistance in these matters.

Although the dedicated mobile number (+91 90246 69328) for the Jaipur VHP (Rajasthan) to monitor “Love Jihad” and “Love Jihad” cases on a 24×7 basis displays the name of Kuldeep Sharma, a VHP leader from Jaipur, the system was found to be functioning properly upon verification.

The announcement comes amid ongoing debates and differing perspectives surrounding the terms and issues cited by the organisation, which have been subjects of legal, political, and social scrutiny in India. In addition to supporters within groups such as the VHP, certain filmmakers, actors, and commentators have publicly expressed support for the themes presented in The Kerala Story and its sequel The Kerala Story 2 – Goes Beyond. They argue that these films have contributed to heightened awareness by portraying what they describe as organised patterns of exploitation targeting non-Muslim girls and women, and by underscoring the potential risks and consequences associated with such cases.
