Barbaric IS Jihadis hacked Hindu Priest to death in Islamic Bangladesh.

Leading Hindu priest decapitated in Bangladesh by Islamic State Jihads as claimed. Devotee shot injured. 

Police say the 45-year-old priest Jogeshwar Roy linked with Gaudiya Math Order was attacked on Sunday as he came out after some Jihadi people threw stones at the temple in Deviganj area of Panchgarh district, on the border with India. On the same day Narendra Modi, the Indian Prime Minister of India inaugurated the Gaudiya Math and Mission’s celebration of its Centenary years in Kolkata. Nobody in that meeting mourned for the killed Vaishnava Hindu Priest, but was in deep enchantment of Modi’s speech. Modi has no concern about the Hindu persecution of Bangladesh. After getting this news Indian External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj will feel busy with other works instead of sending a protest letter to Bangladesh for such minority persecution in Bangladesh. Over a year under Modi’s regime, the Indian External Affairs Ministry didn’t find any cause to send any protest letter even to its BD counterpart to be concerned with the worst condition of the Hindu and other minorities in Bangladesh.

HENB | Dhaka |  February 21, 2016::  A prominent Hindu priest was decapitated by attackers in northern Bangladesh Sunday and two worshipers wounded, police said, in the latest assault targeting minorities in the Muslim-majority nation.

Two assailants armed with pistols and cleavers attacked Jogeswar Roy, 45, the head priest of Sri Sri Sant Gaudiya Math, at his home in the temple on Sunday morning, police officials said. The math (monastery) is located in a remote village of Sonapota in the area of Debiganj in Panchgarh district in the bank of river Karotoya.

“The priest was preparing for morning prayers when they pounced on him and slit his head from the body at the veranda of his home inside the temple,” said Shafiqul Islam, a government administrator in the sub-district Debiganj where the temple is located. Some Jihadi people threw stones at the temple in Deviganj area of Panchgarh district, on the border with India.

“We recovered a blood-stained cleaver from the spot,” he said.

Two devotees were wounded in the attack including one who was shot as he tried to save the priest, he added.

The motive for the murder was not clear but police said Islamist militants were among those suspected as being behind the killing.

District police chief Gias Uddin Ahmed said police had launched a hunt for the attackers and security checkposts had been set up across the district.

“The Jamayetul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) is also in our list of suspects,” Ahmed told AFP.

The banned group is believed to have been behind an attack on an Italian Catholic priest in the neighbouring district of Dinajpur late last year.

But, from the other source, it is divulged that the Bangladesh Chapter of Islamic State has claimed their hands in the gruesome murder of the Hindu priest Jogeswar Roy.

The US-based SITE Intelligence Group published the report after the execution-style killing of Jogeshwar Roy at Sonapota village on Sunday morning.

Islamic State made the claim in a statement issued through the Telegram messaging app and Twitter, Reuters reported.

“In a security operation facilitated by the almighty God, soldiers of the Caliphate liquidated the priest Jogeshwar Roy, the founder and head of the Deviganj temple that belongs to the infidel Hindus,” the IS statement read in Arabic.

“One of his companions was hurt after being targeted with light weapons in the area of Panchagar in Northern Bangladesh, and the Mujahideen returned to their positions unharmed, and all praise be to God,” it added.

The attackers, who arrived on a motorcycle, also shot and injured Gopal Chandra Roy, a devotee who witnessed the murder. Gopal is now under treatment in Rangpur Medical college.

Bangladesh has seen an upsurge in attacks on minorities including Shiites, Sufis, Christians and Ahmadis by Islamist militant groups.

The government rejects the Islamic State’s claims of responsibility for several recent attacks, including the shootings of two foreigners.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s secular government instead accuses the JMB, other local militant groups as well as the Islamist-allied political opposition of trying to destabilise the country.

Hindus, the country’s largest minority, make up nearly 10 percent of Bangladesh’s 160 million people.
