Fear of insecurity restrained Hindu minorities to vote in BD Election, BNP-Jamaat started severe attacking on Hindu villages in Bangladesh in post poll turmoil. Five Hindus hacked to death by Islamists. Hindus leaving Bangladesh.
Upananda Brahmachari in Delhi | Pinaki Ranjan Das Roy in Dhaka | January 05-07, 2014:: Amidst violence ridden General Election in Bangladesh, Hindu voters in different places including Patgram in Lalmonirhat district and Kalaroa upazila in Satkhira district could not go to polling centres freely and cast their votes peacefully today as fear of insecurity loomed larger on them against the backdrop of Jamaat-Shibir men’s recent attacks on the minority Hindu community.
Soon after the Election is over, Hindu minorities of Bangladesh are again facing the barbaric attacks of the fundamental Muslim perpetrators here and there across the territory of Bangladesh.
The correspondent of Bangladesh English daily, the Daily Star, S Dilip Roy interacted the Hindu voters in two constituencies under Lalmonirhat district on Friday (03 Jan, 2014) on the eve of national election in Bangladesh.
The voting touched a very low turnout as the opposition Bangladesh National Party (BNP) and its allies boycotted the election.
“As a very similar fashion when Jamaat-Shibir men attacked the local Hindus on October 27 last year, the Muslim criminals belonging to BNP and Jammat again attacked the Hindu minority people on Saturday morning (04 Jan, 2014) and torched the traditional temple, creating panic among the local Hindus. We are now too afraid to cast our votes,” Harendra Nath Roy, 65, caretaker of traditional Parapukur Shwashan Kali Mandir at Shafinagar village of Patgram upazila, said.
“The Hindu voters in general are apprehensive about going to polling centres as Jamaat-Shibir men still pose threat. There are at least 35 thousand Hindu voters in Patgram upazila but only small portion of them, who are involved with Awami League politics, may cast their votes,” said Rajani Kanta Ghosh, a local Hindu community leader at Ghoshpara village of Patgram upazila.
School teacher Suchitra Rani Pal, 45, a Hindu voter at Jagotbar village of Patgram upazila, was restrained to cast her vote as there is high threat to Hindu people at the village.
“I talked with over a hundred of Hindu women who are not interested to go the polling centres,” she said.
As per report of the Dhaka Tribune, at least five Hindus were hacked to death in the adjacent areas of Abhaynagar-Malopara area in the epicenter of the mayhem of Jessore. The deadly assault on the Hindu minorities was started after the closing of poll hours of the 10th parliamentary election in Bangladesh.
“Their only fault – they are Hindus and many of them had cast votes in the just concluded 10th national election.”… “Watching the people running across the yellow mustard field before jumping into the river reminded Sabita of herself and her father running across a field – only, it was littered with dead bodies – decades ago, chased by the Pakistani occupation force during the 1971 Liberation War.” …. “About 100 people had to jump into the river that afternoon as they were chased by activists of Jamaat-e-Islami and its student wing Islami Chhatra Shibir, all equipped with firearms, crude bombs, machetes, iron rods and sticks.” … Dhaka Tribune reporter Emran Hossain delineated the traumatized hours for the helpless Hindus as Jamaat-Shibir men hacked five Hindus for voting and tried to scare away the entire community from their vicinity.
The administration had classified 145 of the 220 polling centres in the two constituencies as ‘vulnerable’, as Jamaat-e-Islami and its student wing Islami Chhatra Shibir have a good number of activists there.
Habibur Rahman, returning officer of Lalmonirhat, said the administration has made all preparations to keep the election free from violence and so, the Hindu voters can cast their votes without any fear. But, the maximum Hindu voters preferred not to vote for avoiding the boiling fundamentalism in Bangladesh, especially targeting Hindu minorities.
The Daily Star Correspondent reported: Panicked Hindus in Kalaroa and Satkhira Sadar upazilas were traumatized and unsure about going to the polling centres for casting their votes in the parliament election on 05 January, 2104.
Several hundred Hindu families of Satkhira Sadar upazila, who left their homes during recent violence committed by Jamaat-Shibir activists, are yet to return home, even after joint forces’ drives in the area.
Masked Muslim men brought out procession in Jalalabad union under Kalaroa upazila on Friday night asking people not to cast their votes, much to the worry of the Hindu voters, he added.
As the Awami League is going to take the political control of Bangladesh once again, the frastrated and enraged BNP and Jamaat-e-Islami-Bangladesh combination started severe attacks upon Hindu minorities.
BNP-Jamaat activists vandalised and looted 130 houses and torched 10 others at a Hindu village in Abhaynagar upazila of Jessore tonight hours after the end of voting in 10th parliamentary poll in Bangladesh on 05th January, 2014.
The mayhem started as two men — Biswanath Sarkar and Shyamol Sarkar — of Chapatola Malopara village, went to the Chapatola Aliya Madrasa polling centre earlier on the day, ignoring the opposition’s embargo, reports Daily Star- Jessore correspondent quoting Emdad Hossain, officer-in-charge of Abhaynagar Police Station.
More than 200 activists of BNP and Jamaat, led by local opposition leader Ariful Aksu and Kashem Ali, entered the village around 6:00pm blasting 15 crude bombs and injured Biswanath and Shyamol, the police official added.
The appalled villagers swam across the adjacent Bhairab river and took shelter on the other side at Diyapara village to escape the brutal attack, the OC said.
Agitated activists then vandalised and looted at least 130 houses and set fire on 10 others, he said.
On information, the joint forces rushed to the spot around 9:00pm and brought the situation under control, the OC added.
The joint forces have started a drive to find the miscreants who were involved in the atrocity.
To frighten the Hindu voters, the BNP-Jammat perpetrators started attacking Hindu minorities well advanced before the poll.
The Bangladesh Media reports said that BNP and Jamaat men looted, vandalized and burned Hindu houses in Thakurgaon, Dinajpur, Rangpur, Bogra, Lalmonirhat, Rajshahi, Chittagong and Jessore in the post poll attacks and rampage on Hindus unabated.
See the quantum of post poll persecution upon BD minority Hindus at Malopara, Jessore by Jammat-BNP Islamist before the silent Awami Leaguers and slow BD adminstration.
“what did do my baby who is crying now for a drop of milk”
“why you people torture us for being Hindu only. what is our sin”
“nobody to help us as we are Hindus”
“we don’t want to stay here any more. please help us to reach the border”
On Thursday night (02 Jan, 2104) the Muslim miscreants vandalized two images (God Mahadeva and Goddess Kali) in Barahi temple in northern Jaipur Union Chaupalli market in Laksmipur Sadar upazila. The miscreants looted the valuable Puja utensils, donation box, and many other valuable goods. Swapan Chandra Dev Nath, General Secretary of Hindu Buddhist Christian Unity Council of Laksmipur unit confirmed the news.
Shyamal Chandra Dey, the General Secretary of Barahi temple told that the suspected Islamic gangsters looted about 60 to 70 thousand rupees worth of goods.
Sub-inspector (SI) Wahid of Dattapara police outpost, confirmed the incident and said the investigation will take legal action against those responsible.
From the source of BD News it is now confirmed that the Muslim miscreant belonging to BNP-Jammat combination attacked the Hindus in Raghunathapur Radhanagore Union of Atwarpur Upa-zilla in Panchagarh distirct. The miscreant set fire on few Hindu houses there.
The four houses of Manik Chandra Sen, Nani Gopal Chandra Pariamal Chandra were set on fire.
Narendra Nath, the Oficer-in-Charge of Atwari Police Station said that the opposition BNP-Jammat has caused the incident only to spread panic in the mind of Hindu minorities before the election.
The hanging of war-criminals in Bangladesh, death sentence to them and the pre and after poll Political disasters proved fatal for Bangladeshi minority Hindus. Violence upon Hindus is continued after election in Bangladesh. Thousands of Bengali Hindu people are staying as refugees in India From Bangladesh as they have entered in India in a very crucial situation. Thousands of Bengali Hindu people have left Namg;ladesh in recent times to take a refuge in India for the violence of BNP-Jammat force and the callous inaction of Bangladesh Police. The vanishing minority Hindu people in Bangladesh are suffering most tragic treatment for the unstable political conditions of Bangladesh.
The BNP-Jammat workers are insisting minority community people to join the present anti-government violent movement of Bangladesh. They are torturing the minority Hindu people if they refuse them to join in. Even minority Hindu women are suffering molestation, rape, abduction and humiliation as well.
On the other hand if the threatened minority people join the revolt of BNP-Jammat under pressurized compulsion, police are coming to search their homes, leading to a new phase of police torture . These inhuman matters are occurring in the border area of Bangladesh specifically in Shatkheera & Khulna district.
As a result Bangladeshi Hindu people are rapidly leaving Bangladesh and entering neighbouring India, specifically into North 24 Parganas, Nadia, Dakshin Dinajpur and South 24 Parganas of West Bengal, India. As per source, some eight thousand Bangladeshi Hindu people left Bangladesh through Hakimpur, an attached border area of Swarupnagar of North 24 parganas by crossing blade wires & Sonai river.
As per an authentic estimation lakhs of minority Hindus left Bangladesh and sheltered into Bharat in the days of Sahabagh, execution verdict given to war criminal Sayeedi, hanging of Abdul Quadir, bandh declared by opposition, declaration of present parliamentary election, violence during the poll and the aftermath put the last nail into the coffin of Bangladesh minority Hindus.
In new destination, these persecuted Hindu people are also facing another insecure life as the entered India in illegal way. They are passing a escaping life. Maximum Bangladeshi Hindus are staying in their relatives’ house or in rental homes with fake identity. Analysts are saying if the political turmoils in Bangladesh are continued further, the numbers of Hindu refugee in India from Bangladesh may break the record of 1971, this time.
Diptiman Mukhopadhya, reporter of Bengali daily ‘Bartaman’ narrated the inexpressible plight of Bangladeshi Hindus for the present on 06-12-2013.
The report reveals that the Muslim fundamentalist groups in Bangladesh habitually raid the Hindu residents in the border districts like Khulna and Satkhira. The BD administration and police hardly show any interest for the protection of persecuted Hindu minorities in Bangladesh.
The displaced and persecuted Hindus from Bangladesh mainly took refuge in the areas of Basirhat, Hingalganj, Itinda in West Bengal and now living a very insecure life as the reporter highlighted the actualities there through some interviews with Bhakti Biswas of vill Bidisha of Khulna, Panchanan Mondal of vill Padma, Nirmal Basu of Satkhira and some other victims of recent Islamic fundamentalism in Bangladesh.
The painstaking report depicted that the Hindu victims came to India leaving all the belongings and the lands left even unsold within a night crossing the meadows, borders and rivers with absolute risks. The dignity of the women were severely challenged in these days.
After coming in India these Hindu migrants are leveled illegal and frighteningly challenged by Indian police in every notch of time. But the helpless Hindus have no other way than leaving Bangladesh with their last drop of tears.
In this report also it is feared that the number of migrant Hindus from Bangladesh this time may touch the statistics of Hindu refugees came to India in the days of 1971.
In other words, Bangladesh is going to be Hindu-less Bangladesh very soon with a nasty Islamic design of Hindu annihilation there.
