In search of continuous Hindu Civilization through Ramayana and Mahabharata.

Mahabharat historian gets research reins

Ramayana - MahabharataBASANT KUMAR MOHANTY | The Telegraph | New Delhi, July 2, 2014::  A retired history professor who has written articles arguing that stories from the Ramayana and the Mahabharat are truthful accounts of events that took place has been named chief of the ICHR, the government agency to promote historical research.

Yellapragada Sudershan Rao, whose interests include Vedic literature, Sanatana Dharma and Bharatiya Sanskriti, set the tone for his three-year tenure after taking charge on Saturday.

Under his leadership, the Indian Council of Historical Research, he told The Telegraph, should take up projects to rewrite ancient history to establish the “continuous Indian civilisation”, including the period of the two epics.

“The stories of the Ramayan and the Mahabharat cannot be termed a-historical just because there is not enough archaeological hard evidence. Excavations cannot be done in many places since people are living there and you cannot evict them,” Rao said from Warangal, Telangana.

Rao, who taught history at Warangal’s Kakatiya University, has written several articles seeking to establish that stories of the Puranas and particularly the Ramayan and theMahabharat are truthful accounts of historical events.

“A lot of historical material has come through cultural, anthropological, archaeological and ethnographic studies in the last 60 years about the continuous Indian civilisation. The findings can be compiled by researchers. I think the ICHR should support historians interested in doing work on these aspects,” he said.

Rao, a member of the ICHR council when the previous NDA government was in power at the Centre, said studies might be conducted to understand the social system and cultural values during the period of the two epics. He also said archaeological evidence suggesting early habitation in Ayodhya could be traced back to the 8th century BC.

The latest excavations conducted after a court directive at the Ramjanmabhoomi site some years ago did reveal ruins of a basement of a big-columned monument on which the Babri mosque was built. Stone pillars and door-jambs with Hindu motifs used in the construction of the mosque were also found, as were images of Hindu deities below the ground at the disputed site.

Asked what the solution to the dispute should be, Rao said: “Historians need not give any solution. Historians present historical materials and the government has to take the decision.”

Rao said the ICHR had, over the last two decades, mainly focused its research projects on the modern and the colonial period. Before 1990, however, when R.S. Sharma and Irfan Habib were chairpersons, the council had undertaken several projects on early history.

“Even during R.S. Sharma’s tenure, they were using Marxist tools. Cultural aspects were not given attention. History should be comprehensive, not driven by any political thought,” Rao said.

By Marxist tools, Rao said, he meant studies entirely focused on the analysis of economic and material aspects, not culture, art or religion.

The new ICHR chief said a lot of archaeological material and literature were stored in archives in other countries and the agency should take the initiative to get at least copies of such works.Rao said he has not been associated with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh but loves the country and nationalist ideas. “I love the country and the culture. As a historian, I feel that history should tell people about their culture and civilisation.”

After taking over, Rao put out a message on the ICHR website where he conveyed “deep gratitude” to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and human resource development minister Smriti Irani for choosing him for the position.  [Courtesy: The Telegraph Kolkata].

spyghana.com | Newman City | 11 April, 2014::   Newman City Council in California (USA), which celebrated 125th Anniversary in 2013, had its first historic Hindu invocation on April eight (08-04-2014, Tuesday) evening, containing verses from world’s oldest existing scripture.

Distinguished Hindu statesman Rajan Zed delivered the opening prayer from ancient Sanskrit scriptures before the City Council. After Sanskrit delivery, he then read the English translation of the prayer. Sanskrit is considered a sacred language in Hinduism and root language of Indo-European languages.

Zed, who is President of Universal Society of Hinduism, recited from Rig-Veda, the oldest scripture of the world still in common use, besides lines from Upanishads and Bhagavad-Gita (Song of the Lord), both ancient Hindu scriptures. He started and ended the prayer with “Om”, the mystical syllable containing the universe, which in Hinduism is used to introduce and conclude religious work.

Reciting from Brahadaranyakopanishad, Rajan Zed said, “Asato ma sad gamaya, Tamaso ma jyotir gamaya, Mrtyor mamrtam gamaya”, which he then translated as “Lead me from the unreal to the Real, Lead me from darkness to Light, and Lead me from death to Immortality.” Reciting from Bhagavad-Gita, he urged councilmembers to keep the welfare of others always in mind. Councilmembers, city employees and public were seen standing in prayer mode with their heads bowed down during this invocation.

Wearing saffron colored attire, a ruddraksh mala (rosary), and traditional sandalpaste tilak (religious mark) on the forehead, Zed sprinkled few drops of water from river Ganga of India, considered holy by Hindus, around the podium before the prayer. Zed presented a copy ofBhagavad-Gita to Mayor Ed Katen, who introduced and thanked Zed. “It is a historic moment of pride for the community when the prayers from ancient Sanskrit scriptures are being read in this great hall of democracy of this great city of Newman”, Zed stated before starting the invocation.

Rajan Zed is a global Hindu and interfaith leader, who besides taking up the cause of religion worldwide, has also raised huge voice against the apartheid faced by about 15-million Roma (Gypsies) in Europe. Bestowed with World Interfaith Leader Award; Zed is Senior Fellow and Religious Advisor to Foundation for Religious Diplomacy, Spiritual Advisor to National Association of Interchurch & Interfaith Families, etc.

Hinduism, oldest and third largest religion of the world, has about one billion adherents and moksh (liberation) is its ultimate goal. There are about three million Hindus in USA.

Newman, whose tagline is “Honoring the Past, Celebrating the Present, Building for the Future”, is known for its annual Fall Festival. Robert Martina and Michael E. Holland are Mayor Pro Tem and City Manager respectively.

Modi centric Hindu Wave worried the paid media in West & Australia. Hindutva will triumphant.

Hardline and Hindu: Nationalists on the rise in India.

Hindu nationalists are gaining power in India – and silencing opponents along the way. Should the West be worried?

Sunny Hundal | The Age Victoria | 06 March, 2014:: When publishing group Penguin abruptly accepted defeat in an Indian court and withdrew a controversial book last month, the backlash was so ferocious it took almost everyone by surprise.

A small, hardline Hindu group said it had found the book, The Hindus: An Alternative History, by the academic Wendy Doniger offensive towards their religion, forcing the mighty conglomerate to retreat in the face of a lawsuit. [Correct measures taken by the Siksha banchao Andolan's Dinanath Batra and others. Who gave the powers to attack Hindu sentiments as Doniger  did? Hindus are now understanding that enough is enough! ~ Editor Hindu Existence.]

Two authors subsequently asked the publisher to cancel contracts and pulp their books, too, a move described as ”unprecedented” by one Indian newspaper.

In the same week, the US ended its decade-long boycott of the controversial politician Narendra Modi after its envoy met him to discuss bilateral relations. Modi is the prime ministerial candidate of the opposition Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and favourite to win the national elections in April.

The State Department had cancelled his visa in 2005 on grounds of ”severe violations of religious freedom” and had repeatedly refused to review its policy, until pragmatism forced its hand.

The withdrawal of Doniger’s book and the US rapprochement with Modi are not unrelated. Liberals in India say they feel under attack and more despondent than ever about the right to expression, as religious groups increasingly flex their muscles.

Many fear that Hindu nationalists will be further emboldened if Modi, their most demagogic leader, is elected prime minister.

The fact that it is 25 years to the month since Salman Rushdie received a fatwa for The Satanic Verses has not been lost on some.

WE ARE NOT ENDORSING THE IDEAS REFLECTED IN THIS PRESENT ARTICLE. BUT REPRODUCING THIS ARTICLE CAN HELP OUR READERS TO MAKE IT CLEAR THAT THE PRESENT HINDU WAVE HAS REACHED EUROPE AMERICA AND AUSTRALIA AS A PANIC TO THE ISLAMIC AND EVANGELICAL GROUPS. SO, THEY WANT TO SLANDER THE HINDU MOVEMENTS IN INDIA AS WELL AS THE HINDU NATIONALIST FACE OF NARENDRA MODI.  IT IS A CRUCIAL TIME TIME FOR HINDUS TO SET A HINDU AGENDA FOR  2014 ELECTION AND ESTABLISH A HINDU RAJ IN INDIA.  A MORE DEDICATION AND DEVOTION IS REQUIRED FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF HINDU RASHTRA IN INDIA.  ~ Upananda Brahmachari, Editor, Hindu Existence.

”We are in the middle of a cultural emergency, and the levels of oppression in the cultural area should worry us as much as the political oppression [in India] of the 1970s,” Rushdie said at a debate in February. A columnist at The Indian Express newspaper said Penguin’s capitulation represented ”the pulping of liberal India”.

Narendra Modi

Narendra Modi ~ I am a Hindu nationalist.

Just a week earlier, a mob calling itself the Hindu Sena (Hindu Army) burnt copies of Delhi-based magazine The Caravan over an interview with a Hindu extremist who alleged that a prominent religious leader had sanctioned attacks across India that killed more than 100 people between 2006 and 2008. [All false allegations against Swami Aseemananda as exposed in the media. NIA has nothing to say against Aseemananda. But, the Congress and it allies always go against the Hindu saints to appease the Muslim Clergies and Christian missionaries. ~ Editor, Hindu Existence.]

”Groups of all stripes have been emboldened by the fact that, in India, freedom to take offence routinely trumps freedom of expression or freedom of academic research,” says Sandip Roy, a senior editor at firstpost.com.

”Whether it’s Bangladeshi writer Taslima Nasrin being hounded out of West Bengal, Salman Rushdie not being allowed to make a tele-appearance at Jaipur, or Rohinton Mistry’s Such a Long Journey being taken out of the Mumbai university syllabus, India’s political parties have routinely allowed fringe groups to grab the limelight. [Why this writer Sunny Hundal kept silence all about the attacking Muslim activists in India against Taslima, Rushdie or the Film: Innocence of Islam etc. Why hw sid not write an article: 'Hardline and Islam. Taliban Force in the Rise in India' ? ~ Editor, Hindu Existence.]

”If they feel the party in power is more ideologically sympathetic to it, of course it will feel, as Dinanath Batra [the man behind the lawsuit against Doniger] did, that ‘the good times are coming’.”

Hindus don’t have a reputation for religious extremism, but over the past 25 years, an increasingly aggressive movement has grown and started flexing its muscles. The list of authors who have faced ruinous lawsuits, had books banned or lives threatened in India is growing alarmingly long. (Not all of the bans relate to Hindu groups; Muslims and Christians have demanded censorship, too.).

 ……..

”Narendra Modi has been an activist for the Hindu far-right paramilitary RSS and its affiliates for the entirety of his political life. He remains committed to the supremacist ideology of Hindutva, which says that India should be an exclusive Hindu nation state in which minorities are treated as second-class citizens or worse.”

The movement mushroomed in 1984 when the VHP launched a campaign to reclaim a mosque it said was built on the birthplace of Lord Ram. In 1992, it incited activists to demolish the mosque, sparking riots between Hindus and Muslims across India and propelling the BJP, which took advantage of the controversy, into national consciousness and into government in 1998.

But Narendra Modi became a controversial figure in 2002, when a train with Hindu pilgrims coming from the site of the mosque was set on fire by Muslims, killing 58. That sparked riots across the state of Gujarat, where he was still Chief Minister, and more than 2000 Muslims were killed and thousands made homeless. [To create another tension between Hindu and Muslims the foreign media forces have jumped into the situation. They are trying to present an anti-Muslim Modi to snatch away the Muslim votes from BJP so that the drowning Congress can catch the straw of the monorties. This is a myth now. Modi will get substantial votes from Muslims also. ~ Editor, Hindu Existence.]

Reports by various groups including Human Rights Watch found extensive evidence of state participation and complicity in the violence. One of Modi’s cabinet ministers, Maya Kodnani, was convicted of orchestrating a massacre and seen handing out swords to Hindus and exhorting them to kill Muslims.

A large part of Modi’s popularity abroad comes from his message that Gujarat can be a beacon for India’s economic development. This Gujarati pride resonates strongly in Britain and the United States, where large proportions of Indians are of Gujarati origin.

In December 2002, an investigation by Channel 4 found that some funds from a British aid organisation were going to Hindu groups blamed for the 2002 riots in India. Channel 4’s Jonathan Miller reported: ”Several inquiries, including one by the British high commission, saw the hand of the RSS and its associated organisations behind the violence.” [We will start a probe, to unearth the malafide intentions brought by some foreign channels, after Narendra Modi comes to power. We just perceive a Modi-phobia in the western media and theirs sponsorship tagged with the Churches is prevalent. America has already bowed to Modi by sending Nancy Powell to meet Modi. The East and West will certainly come under the spell of Hindutva without any hesitation. The paid media like The Age - Victoria cannot be able to do any harm to us. Hindus will be victorious. ~ Editor, Hindu Existence. ]

150th Birth Anniversary of Swamiji. Back To Vivekananda – A Mission to Achieve.

Posted by hinduexistence on January 11, 2012

Back To Vivekananda – A Mission to Achieve.

~ Upananda Brahmachari.

“I shall not cease to work. I shall inspire men everywhere, until the world shall know that it is one with God” – Swami Vivekananda.

In my face book page I wanted to know that: Year long celebration (12-01-2012 ~to~ 12-01-2013) will start on tomorrow timeline for the 150th Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, the Greatest Humanist and the Hindu Monk of Modern Times. How do you think to pay homage to this Great son of Mother India?

One of my friend, Raja Nambiar from Bangalore replied without delay that: “Best wishes on Celebrations of Gurudev’s 150th Birth Anniversary ….!! OM !!”

Holding the truth that Nambiar considers Swamiji as his Gurudev and certainly will arrange candles, aroma sticks, fruits, sweets, flowers (may not Cigar and chocolate as offered in Belur Math in Swamiji’s birthday with other items) for a homely grandeur, I reacted :

‎”@ Raja Nambiar : Om ! Namastee !! You are senior than me. Your DOB is January 20, 1961. Correct. Me January 20, 1965. Your span of life is chanced to observe the 100 the anniversary (1963), 125 th anniversary (1988), 150 th anniversary (2013) and I shall observe two more : 175 th anniversary (2038) and 200 th anniversary (2063)…. What do you feel that change Swamiji hoped and sacrificed His life for our MOTHERLAND? Don’t take it otherwise for the maximum it is a item for a program, subject for a lecture or to use a good mask for hiding many things. Please raise only one slogan: BACK TO VIVEKANANDA. “

After that I seriously tried to find out the book Back to Vivekananda written by Swami Nityaswarupananda. But found nowhere.

In the web searching I got a thread in a book, Swami Vivekananda in India: A corrective biography (page-332) by  Rajagopal Chattopadhyaya. In its chapter titled as ~ Review of ‘Back to Vivekananda’

“This 114 page book was written by Swami Nityaswarupananda (N), who founded the Ramakrishna Mission Institute o Culture, Calcutta, in 1938. It was written when N was nearing his end (1991), had become disgusted with the Belur Math authorities but did not care about the consequences o writing this book. It is about the state of the Ramakrishna Math and Mission as viewed by one of its senior monks, a self-appraisal and a note of warning.

The three documents having to do with the operation of the organization are reproduced in full in the appendix (page 77-114) : 1. Rules and Regulations of the Ramakrishna Math, Belur, framed by Swamiji in 1898. 2. Debuttar Deed and Declaration of Trust, dated January 30, 1901 and 3. Rules and Regulations of the Ramakrishna Math revised in 1970. Of these first has been published in the Complete  Works. The second was meant to serve and fulfil a legal requirement, to effect the legal transfer o property by Swamiji to the Trustees of the Math. The rules and regulation of 1970 claim to Swami Vivekananda’s trust deed.

More interesting than the rules themselves are N’s comments and analyses. He shows that the quality and fraternity among the monastic members enshrined in the 1898 rules have been reduced by the 1970 rules which gave undue powers to the trustees who govern the fellow monks. N wrote that according to Swami Vivekananda, ‘Truth and Truth alone preserves an organization, and it follows that adherence to truth alone can sustain it, keep it ever living and fresh …’ (page 15). N also writes ‘The problems of vain self deception, complacent self-satisfaction, and a diminished spiritual intensity are undermining the essential function of the Organization and its capacity for spiritual leadership and teaching.’ (page 23). N writes there are innumerable instances of loss of devotion to truth and of “shopkeeping” for worldly expediency. He gives two examples, of which the first is the trust of the Yogodyan Math (page 24). ‘.. The Ramakrishna Yogodyan Math was transferred by its Trustees to the Trustees of Ramakrishna Math, Belur, and incorporated into it as its branch for its future maintenance on certain definite, specific and fully accepted conditions. The first and foremost condition was that, within the Math or anywhere within its precincts, indulging in eating fish, meat or any kind of intoxicant substance will remain strictly, religiously and absolutely prohibited… The Trustees of Ramakrishna Math proved themselves to be veritable traitors to the Yogodyan Math Trust and, ipso facto, to the Ramakrishna Math, Belur, by their most utterly senseless, unscrupulous and passionate indulgence in eating fish, egg etc., within in the Yogodyan Math and its precincts.  It must be remembered that the Yogodyan Math is the first Ramkrishna Math… ‘. The second instance has to do with the Upendranath Deb Trust property at 5, Dehi Entally Road, Calcutta. The Trust stipulated that the property will be designated as “Ramakrishna Sevashram”, whereas in violation of this condition it has been designated as “Advaita Ashram”.

N further writes that the Trustees from the coteries of persons of their choice, arrogate to themselves special arrangements for sitting together in the first row of seats in the dining hall, with special dishes to be served. N describes it as a vicious scene. He also writes that the Trustees claim a special status and declare their sole authority to conduct the organization. N is infuriated that the Trustees declare that they can “hold any member by the ear and remove him from one place to another as and when they think necessary”. ……….

Yes, all these are written in the book Swami Vivekananda in India: A corrective biography (page-332) by Rajagopal Chattopadhyaya in its chapter titled as Review of ‘Back to Vivekananda’.

As a matter of fact I searched this book again and again and found nowhere in the market and not even in any libraries. But how it is now vanished from everywhere?

As far I am reported that the Great Ramakrishna Mission operators lifted all the available copies from every corners as they had nothing to say or write for combating the force of truth in the book ‘Back to Vivekananda’ by none other than Swami Nityaswarupananda MaharajJi, the founder Secretary of the world famous Ramakrishna Mission Institute of Culture, Golpark, Calcutta and the champion Vedantist  of Ramkrishna order.  Actually getting no place to hide their violation, simply some saffron clad monks tactfully hided all the copies of this book ‘Back to Vivekananda’.

The motivation was very clear while Ramakrishna Mission went up to the Supreme Court of India to have its minority status negating HINDU ORDER by holding a ridiculous Ramkrisnaite sect and even a Ramakrisnalok in the heaven somewhere beside Brahmalok, Golok, Shibalok, etc. However, the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India saved the situation by giving one type stricture to the propagator of such minority status that Swami Vivekananda was the Champion of Hinduism, world famous as “The Cyclonic Hindu Monk of India” and Mother Kali, Bhagaban Ramakrishna, Vedanta everything was  included in Hinduism and the cynicism in the satiated minority sense was a very sign of weakness and contraction opposed both to Vedanta and Vivekananda by the R K Mission monks.

As a seer Swami NityaswarupanandaJi apprehended these things and tried to save the Mission in spirituality and ideals as propounded by Swami Vivekananda but the contemporary administrators in R K Math and Mission virtually thrown out the suggestion of this seer setting its ultimate goal ‘Back to Vivekananda’.

The autocrat monks in the power in R K Math and Mission rampantly censored the writing and speeches of Swami Vivekananda (just see the differences between the complete works of Swamiji time to time), secularization of sacredness of Ideals of Thakur, Maa and Swamiji, suppressing all the revolutionary spirit against vilification of Hindutva, corruption, morbidity of mass in cultural crisis and growing menace of Islam and Christianity in India. Swamiji established Ramakrishna Math and Mission to resist and rectify this entire problem before us and now that Math and Mission have rejected all these from its present agenda .

Amount of more  than 100 crores are coming to Mission to celebrate year long (12-01-2012 to 12-01-2013) 150th Birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda. It will be spent. Spent as earlier in the 100 th anniversary (1963), 125 th anniversary (1988). And will be spent in 150 th anniversary (2013), 175 th anniversary (2038) and 200 th anniversary (2063). But the situation will remain unchanged or may be worst further.  And if really want to change this situation we must ‘Back to Vivekananda’.

Holding the final faith on Swamiji we can recite and act accordingly with the hymns of Swadesh Mantra :

SWADESH MANTRA ~ Swami Vivekananda

O India ! With this mere echoing of others, with this base imitation of others, with this dependence on others, this slavish weakness, this vile detestable cruelty — wouldst thou, with these provisions only, scale the highest pinnacle of civilisation and greatness? Wouldst thou attain, by means of thy disgraceful cowardice, that freedom deserved only by the brave and the heroic?

O India ! Forget not that the ideal of thy womanhood is Sita, Savitri, Damayanti;

forget not that the God thou worshippest is the great Ascetic of ascetics, the all-renouncing Shankara, the Lord of Uma;

forget not that thy marriage, thy wealth, thy life are not for sense-pleasure, are not for thy  individual personal happiness;

forget not that thou art born as a sacrifice to the Mother’s altar;

forget not that thy social order is but the reflex of the Infinite Universal Motherhood;

forget not that the lower classes, the ignorant, the poor, the illiterate, the cobbler, the sweeper, are thy flesh and blood, thy brothers.

Thou brave one, be bold, take courage, be proud that thou art an Indian, and proudly proclaim, “I am an Indian, every Indian is my brother.” Say, “The ignorant Indian, the poor and destitute Indian, the Brahmin Indian, the Pariah Indian, is my brother.”

Thou, too, clad with but a rag round thy loins proudly proclaim at the top of thy voice: “The Indian is my brother, the Indian is my life, India ’s gods and goddesses are my God. India ’s society is the cradle of my infancy, the pleasure-garden of my youth, the sacred heaven, the Varanasi of my old age.”

Say, brother; “The soil of India is my highest heaven, the good of India is my good,” and repeat and pray day and night..  “O Thou Lord of Gauri, O Thou Mother of the Universe, vouchsafe manliness unto me! O Thou Mother of Strength, take away my weakness, take away my unmanliness, and make me a Man!”

N.B. Original Constitution (in book form) of Ramakrishna Math, Belur, written by Swami Vivekananda in 1898 is available with us. But no copy of Back To Vivekananda by Swami Nityaswarupananda is now available with us. Aspirants can contact : upananda.br@sify.com .

Bhagavad Gita faces ‘extremist’ branding, ban in Russia.

ANS | Dec 17, 2011, 12.39PM IST | HE Update Dec 18, 2011, 12.39PM IST

MOSCOW: Bhagavad Gita, one of the holiest Hindu scriptures, is facing a legal ban and the prospect of being branded as “an extremist” literature across Russia. A court in Siberia’s Tomsk city is set to deliver its final verdict Monday in a case filed by state prosecutors.

The final pronouncement in the case will come two days after Indian Prime MinisterManmohan Singh during his Dec 15-17 official visit for a bilateral summit with Russian President Dmitry Medvedev consolidated bilateral trade and strategic ties and personal friendship.

The case, which has been going on in Tomsk court since June, seeks ban on a Russian translation of “Bhagavad Gita As It Is” written by A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, the founder of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON)

It also wants the Hindu religious text banned in Russia and declared as a literature spreading “social discord”, its distribution on Russian soil rendered illegal.

In view of the case, Indians settled in Moscow, numbering about 15,000, and followers of the ISKCON religious movement here have appealed to Manmohan Singh and his government to intervene diplomatically to resolve the issue in favour of the scripture, an important part of Indian epic Mahabharata written by sage Ved Vyas.

The ISKCON followers in Russia have also written a letter to the Prime Minister’s Office in New Delhi, calling for immediate intervention, lest the religious freedom of Hindus living here be compromised.

“The case is coming up for a final verdict on Monday in Tomsk court. We want all efforts from the Indian government to protect the religious rights of Hindus in Russia,” Sadhu Priya Das of ISKCON and a devotee of a 40-year-old Krishna temple in central Moscow, told IANS.

The court, which took up the case filed by the state prosecutors, had referred the book to the Tomsk State University for “an expert” examination Oct 25.

But Hindu groups in Russia, particularly followers of ISKCON, say the university was not qualified as it lacked Indologists who study the history and cultures, languages, and literature of the Indian subcontinent.

The Hindus pleaded with the court that the case was inspired by religious bias and intolerance from a “majority religious group in Russia”, and have sought that their rights to practice their religious beliefs be upheld.

The prosecutor’s case also seeks to ban the preachings of Prabhupada and ISKCON’s religious beliefs, claiming these were “extremist” in nature and preached “hatred” of other religious beliefs.

“They have not just tried to get the Bhagavad Gita banned, but also brand our religious beliefs and preachings as extremist,” Das said.

The ISKCON devotees have taken up the matter with the Indian embassy in Moscow too for an early diplomatic intervention before things get worse and the court passes an adverse verdict banning the Bhagavad Gita and Krishna consciousness teachings.

In the Nov 1 letter addressed to Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister Pulok Chatterji, ISKCON’s New Delhi branch Governing Body Commissioner Gopal Krishna Goswami, said the prosecutor’s affidavit claims Lord Krishna “is evil and not conforming to Christian religious view”.

Goswami also urged Manmohan Singh to accord priority to the matter during his Moscow stay and take it up with the Russian authorities.

Indian diplomatic corps officials at the embassy here, who were unwilling to be named, told IANS that they have been following up the case since the time it was brought to their notice earlier this year.

They had also taken up the matter at the appropriate levels in the Russian government to get the case either withdrawn or get the defence to fight the case to obtain a favourable verdict.

Officials at the Indian Prime Minister’s Office, who were part of the Indian delegation accompanying Manmohan Singh, confirmed to IANS the case and the letter they received from ISKCON in this regard.

“This matter is receiving the highest attention and the Indian embassy officials in Moscow have been instructed to follow up the case with the Russian authorities,” they said.

It is nothing but a Global Conspiracy to Vilify Hinduism and defame Srimad Bhagavad Gita. The Islamists and Communists have joined hands to brand Hinduism with extremism to equate it with Jihad and various Communist War Groups. Already we have seen the Indian phase lead by Congress to spread the bogey of SAFFRON TERRORISM in India. and Now their friends in Russia is trying to ban Bhagavad Gita and Hinduism in the Soil of Russia. RSS should delete Gandhi from Ekatmata Stotram, as MoKa is now charge-sheeted with bisexuality, racism, sexual advances and alleged rape with Hindu virgins.

Gandhi was bisexual, racist, claims new book

Mumbai | Agencies | 29-03-2011: Mahatma Gandhi, a renowned advocate of celibacy, truth and non-violence, was also a bisexual, a racist, and a man who loved the concept of humanity more than he loved individual human beings, claims a new book on the man, Great Soul: Mahatma Gandhi And His Struggle With India by Joseph Lelyveld, a Pulitzer prize-winning former New York Times executive editor.

In what is certain to raise the hackles of the Mahatma’s followers in India, the book claims that Gandhi had an affair with German-Jewish architect and bodybuilder Hermann Kallenbach, for whom he supposedly left his wife Kasturba in 1908.

Gandhi’s grandson, Gopalkrishna Gandhi told DNA, “There have been interpretations, re-interpretations and misinterpretations of Gandhi’s life and work — and Gandhi’s own writings have been the source of all three, as he has written so openly about his life. There have been hundreds of books written on Gandhi, and many more (including re-interpretations and misinterpretations) will continue to be written.” He added that he has not read Lelyveld’s book.

The book quotes from Gandhi’s letter to Kallenbach: “Your portrait (the only one) stands on my mantelpiece in my bedroom” and this mantelpiece “is opposite to the bed.” According to Lelyveld, cotton wool and Vaseline were “a constant reminder” of Kallenbach for Gandhi.

Lelyveld further states that Gandhi nicknamed himself ‘Upper House’ while Kallenbach was ‘Lower House’, and the Lower House was not supposed to “look lustfully upon any woman.”

According to Gandhi, active-celibacy meant perfect self control in the presence of opposite sex. Gandhi conducted his experiments with a number of women such as Abha, the sixteen-year-old wife of his grandnephew Kanu Gandhi. Gandhi acknowledged “that this experiment is very dangerous indeed”, but thought “that it was capable of yielding great results” (Tidrick, Kathryn (2007). Gandhi: A Political and Spiritual Life. I.B.Tauris. pp. 302-304). Many believe that, in the name of active celibacy, he not only used those women, but as he never sought for consent of them, he committed sexual oppression on them. On the other hand, the victims had no other alternative but to endure all such oppressions silently (Yashodhara Roychowdhuri, Ananda Bazar Patrika, 25.6.2006).

“How completely you have taken possession of my body,” the advocate of celibacy wrote to Kallenbach. And the two swore “more love…such love as they hope the world has not yet seen.”

 MOKA EXPOSED

Gandhi and Kallenbach got separated when the former came back to India in 1914, since the German could not travel to India in wartime. But according to the book, Gandhi never gave up hope, writing to him in 1933, “You are always before my mind’s eye.”

The book, which dwells at length on his work in South Africa, also claims that the Mahatma was racist towards the blacks. “We were then marched off to a prison intended for Kaffirs,” complained Gandhi during a campaign for the rights of Indians in South Africa. “We could understand not being classed with whites, but to be placed on the same level as the Natives seemed too much to put up with.”

Lelyveld quotes from a letter Gandhi wrote to the legislature of Natal province, where he speaks of how “the Indian is being dragged down to the position of the raw Kaffir,” who Gandhi believed to be someone, “whose sole ambition is to collect a number of cattle to buy a wife. “Of white Afrikaaners and Indians, he wrote: “We believe as much in the purity of races as we think they do.” Read DNA&MSN | The Telegraph | Indian Express.

Neither Manu nor Sushila had ever disclosed what happened on that fateful night. But it was not so difficult to guess. Most probably, Gandhi made sexual advances to Sushila and tried to rape an unwilling Sushila. She, on the other hand, prevented Gandhi and cried for help and that made Gandhi to scream out of frustration. After this incident, Nirmal Kumar decided to abandon Gandhi and he permanently left him on 18th March, 1947 (Ghose, Sankar (1991). Mahatma Gandhi, Allied Publishers. pp. 356, D Keer, p-759 & Yashodhara Roychowdhuri, ibid.).

GANDHI’S EXPERIMENT WITH CELIBACY

by Dr Radhasyam Brahmachari

It is well known that Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, the most trusted and the most loyal stooge of the British crown, served the British interest through his Satyagraha or the nonviolent freedom struggle. But most of the people of this country, who take him to be a man of high moral, do not know what short vile lechery he indulged in in the name of keeping Brahmacharys or celibacy, or in experimenting with the same. In 1903, when he was only 34 years old ( alternatively in 1906, when he was 37), or in other words, when he was at the zenith of his youth, he took a vow that he will observe celibacy and will remain a brahmachari for the rest of his life (D Keer, Mahatma Gandhi, pp-73)..

But the question remains, what made Gandhi, an extremely sensual man, to take such a vow? Gandhi was so sensual that when his father Karamchand was dying, he preferred to make love and have sex with his wife Kasturba in another room of the same house. So, when such a sensual Gandhi took vow to keep celibacy, one becomes suspicious that there must have been an evil intention behind that vow. Many believe that at that time, he developed some form of aversion towards Kasturba, an illiterate mother of three children, or in other words, he disliked to share bed with her. So, his intention was to abandon Kasturba as a sleeping partner in the name of keeping celibacy.

In 1882, when Mohandas was married to Kasturba, he was 13 and Kasturba was 14. While he was in South Africa, he came in contact with several educated and well bred women through his profession and Gandhi liked their company very much. From their company, Gandhi used to obtain a special kind of intellectual pleasure, which was not possible from Kasturba. At that time, more than a dozen women came very close to him and six of them were of Western origin. They were Graham Polak, Nilla Cram Cook, Madelline Slade (aka Miraben), Margarate Spiegel, Sonja Schlesin and Esther Faering (M V Kamath, Mahatma and Celibacy, Organiser, 2.7.2006). His closest Indian women were Srimati Prabhavati Devi (wife of Jaiprakash Narain), Kanchan Shah, Prema Ben Kantak, Sushila Nair (sister of Pyarelal), Manu Gandhi (wife of his grand-nephew Joysukhlal Gandhi), Ava Gandhi and Saraladevi Chaudhurani. This Saraladevi was a niece of the poet Rabindranath Tagore and her mother was Srimati Swarnakumari Devi (M V Kamath, ibid).

To narrate the affair between Gandhi and Saraladevi, Sri Girija Kumar says, “Saraladevi Caowdhurani came very close to Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi. Their whirl wind romance lasted for barely two years, but it upset the balance of the Gandhian establishment and shook its very roots. She is now a part of history and a footnote in contemporary Gandhian literature. She, however, left a scar in the minds of Gandhiji for the rest of his life.” (Brahmacharya: Gandhi and his Women Associates, as quoted by M V Kamath, ibid.). Gandhi used to admit that his relation with Saraladevi went up to sexuality (Girija Kumar (1997), The Book on Trial: Fundamentalism and Censorship in India, Har-Anand Publishers. pp. 73-107).

Now, Rashtriya Swamsevak Sangha should delete the name of Gandhi from Ekatmata Stotra, as MoKa ( Mohandas Karamchand) is clearly charge-sheeted with bisexuality, racism (finally pro Muslim), phedophile activities, sexual advances and alleged rape with Hindu virgins. Many research articles and the truth have proved that this Ghandhi successfully be-fooled the Indian mass to his inclination to be a “king-maker” in India  as a “uncrowned kingly saint”  and at the cost of the partition of India with a definite connivance with Muhammad Ali Jinnha ( Quaid-e-Azam M A Jinnah). As opined by Dr Anwar Shaikh, a great thinker and Islamic scholar Gandhi and Jinnah had the same blood relation in their body.  Interested readers may kindly read Anwar Shaikah’s book “The tale of Two Gujrati Saints” ( read it as The tale of Two Gujrati Satans).

After all these, the name of the Sinner MOKA GANDHI should not be uttered anyway by the patriotic Swayamsevaks (cadres) of RSS in Sakha ( one hour daily programme) or individually. Any patriotic Indian or Hindu must recline the hymn no. 26 in the RSS morning hymn (Ekatmata Stotra, sloka 26), as it contains the filthy name of Gandhi……

May Gandhi had any relation with RSS. But there is no way left now to call this con man as DURATMA instead of MAHATMA.

RSS should resolute immediately.

Swami Vivekananda’s 149th birth anniversary celebrated

The Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh addressing at the inauguration of the four year long celebrations of Swami Vivekananda’s 150th birth anniversary, in New Delhi on January 12, 2011. Dr. Manmohan Singh released a book titled “Bharat Jagran”. The General Secretary, Ramakrishna Math & Ramakrishna Mission, Swami Prabhanandaji Maharaj and the Secretary of Delhi Ramakrishna Mission, Swami Shantatmananda are also seen.

The Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh addressing at the inauguration of the four year long celebrations of Swami Vivekananda’s 150th birth anniversary, in New Delhi on January 12, 2011.

“I am honoured to be present here today on this very happy occasion of the inauguration of the four year long celebration of 150th Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda. “

Recalling the exemplary life and message of Swami Vivekananda, the Prime Minister exhorted people to rekindle the eternal message of this great patriot and son of India and help build a self-confident India where each citizen has the right to his or her own self-respect, dignity and well being.

“It was on a September day in 1893 that a young man from India, dressed in the traditional saffron robes of a Hindu monk, addressed the Parliament of Religions in Chicago. It was the first time he had gone abroad and it was the first time he was speaking in public. Yet his first few words beginning with his greetings to the ‘sisters and brothers of America’ electrified the audience and brought forth an applause that lasted for over two minutes”, the PM said.

“Swami Vivekananda’s Chicago address is a proud moment in India’s history and it heralded the arrival of one of India’s greatest spiritual leaders on the world stage”, Dr. Singh added.

Reflecting on Swamiji’s mission, the Prime Minister said, “Swami Vivekanandaji dedicated his life to the service of his motherland and to the spiritual awakening of Indian people. He worked to instill pride in his countrymen in their cultural heritage. He tried to build a national consciousness that was modern, rational and universal”.

Elaborating on Swamiji’s stress on Indian self-respect, the Prime Minister said “He believed that the absence of self-respect was at the root of India’s weakness. He exhorted the people to inculcate self-respect. He wanted every Indian to be proud of being an Indian and being capable of saying that every Indian is my brother or sister. His message broke through the shackles of caste and creed and spoke of a language of universal brotherhood”

The Prime Minister informed the audience that the Government of India has set up a National Committee, under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister, to guide the conduct of the commemorations of the 150th Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda in a befitting manner.

Views on education

“Swami Vivekananda had very definite and enlightened views on education. He conceived of education as the primary means of rebuilding Indian society,” Dr. Singh said.

“We are working on a suitable commemorative event in Chicago,” he said.

The Government of India has already approved a film on Swami Vivekananda by the Public Service Broadcasting Trust, he said.

It has also set up a National Committee under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister to guide the conduct of the commemorative events.

Rs 100 crores to mark the celebration in Social work

The Centre will provide Rs 100 crore to Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math to implement various schemes to celebrate the 150th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda. The Prime Minister, Dr Manmohan Singh, announced this at a meeting in Vigyan Bhavan today.

Dr Singh said a commemorative event to mark the 150th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda is being planned to be held in Chicago where the 19th century philosopher had earned accolades for his discourse on Hinduism at the Congress of world religions in 1893.
The Centre has set up a 10-member implementation committee with Swami Prabhananda, general secretary, Ramakrishna Math and Mission, and Swami Suvirananda, assistant general secretary, Ramakrishna Math and Mission, as members.

Dr Singh said Swamiji had worked for the common masses and had believed that real development of India was not possible unless common people are educated. His messages still inspire the youth. It may be recalled that 12 January, which is Swamiji’s birthday, had been declared as Youth Day by the then Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi 26 years ago. The RKM has chalked out elaborate schemes which include development of mother and child, setting up of coaching centres to educate school drop-outs and health awareness programmes.

With this Rs 100-crore grant from the Centre and funds raised from public and corporate sectors, the institution will involve its 171 centres all over the world, including 128 in India, to start model centres of development with the hope they will inspire the next generation to take up similar projects.

RKM is focussing on four key concerns integration of children in 150 areas, 150 health projects, empowerment of women, adoption of 10 villages, and projects for the uplift of the poorest of the poor in five city slums and five villages.

The institution will celebrate Swamiji’s 150th birthday at his ancestral home on January 12, 2013. But work on social development, started in October, which will culminate at the closing ceremonies at Belur Math and Netaji Indoor stadium in 2014.

There will be sadhu sammelans in Haridwar and South India, an all-India convention on the Vedantic idea of brotherhood’, folk and tribal programs and launch of Vivekananda’s life story in animation DVDs. RKM general secretary Swami Prabhananda said Union I&B minister Ambika Soni is keen on spreading Vivekananda’s message through TV programmes.

Tributes paid to Swami Vivekananda at Kanyakumari

The 149th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekanada was celebrated in Kanyakumari on Wednesday. The State president of Bharathiya Janata party, Pon. Radhakrishnan, and other senior leaders of the BJP in the district garlanded Swami Vivekananda’s statue in Kanyakumari. The life members of the Vivekananda Kendra offered floral tributes at the Vivekananda rock memorial.

According to sources, Swami Vivekananda during his travel across the country as Parivrajak, visited Kanyakumari in the last week of December in 1892, to offer prayers to Devi Kanyakumari (Bhagavathi Amman). On December 25, he swam to a rock in the sea nearly 1,600 feet from the southern most tip of the land and spent the whole night in deep meditation. He chose the rock at the confluence of three seas as the site for his meditation.

“At Cape Comorin, sitting in Mother Kumari’s temple, sitting on the last bit of Indian rock, I hit up on a plan,” wrote Swami Vivekananda. It was said that sitting on the rock he looked northward at the great land and its teeming millions and resolved to dedicate himself to the service of his country and to convey the message of Vedanta to the West.

Indus Script, the earliest writing system of South Asia, may even earliest in the World

Posted by hinduexistence on September 2, 2010

Dr.Kalyanaraman’s Book Indus Script Cipher

(Review of First paperback printing edition published in July 2010)

Book Review by Prof. Shivaji Singh.

Former Head of the Department of Ancient History,Archaeology and Culture, University of Gorakhpur (India) Presently National President, ABISY

A real treat for everyone interested in the earliest writing system of South Asia

<Dr. Kalyanaraman’s book Indus Script Cipher (2010) comes as a luminous ray of hope that brushes aside the gloom hitherto prevailing in the field of Indus (or, rather, ) palaeography and epigraphy. Not only all efforts aimed at deciphering the script had failed, there were no signs of even a partial success in that direction. “It is sad to observe” wrote Gregory L. Possehl in 1996, “that, except for the concordances, we are no nearer a decipherment than G. R. Hunter was in 1929.” The situation had remained unchanged till today despite the efforts made by some scholars including N. Jha and N. S. Rajaram in the period following Possehl’s remark. Many a scholars had even started feeling that Indus inscriptions would perhaps never be read! It is a matter of pleasure to note that Kalyanaraman’s present book has succeeded in changing this pessimistic scenario.

It is well-known that very ancient writing systems are seldom alphabetic. They aremnemonic, pictographic, ideographic, logographic, etc., in pure or mixed forms. The scholars trying to decipher the Indus script did not pay due attention to this fact and seldom engaged in investigating the evolutionary level on which the Indus writing system was located. Debates about the script remained confined to whether the language of the Indus people was Proto-Dravidian, Early or Pre-Vedic Sanskrit, or Proto-Munda. The controversy about the Aryan Problem seems to have come in the way of a proper approach to Indus script decipherment.

The author of the Indus Script Cipher makes it very clear in the very beginning of thebook that no a-priori assumptions are made about ‘the theories related to invasionsand migrations or chronology of movements of people into or out of India which yielded the majority of Indus script inscriptions’. It is this capacity of the author to remain objective in an emotionally and politically charged atmosphere that has made this book a great success.

The author successfully demonstrates that the Indus writing uses the rebus method. It is a simple method used by several ancient writing systems that have evolved or are evolving beyond the pictographic stage. It is based on likeness of sound orhomophony. The figure of an ‘eye’ may be made for writing ‘I’ since ‘eye’ and ‘I’ are homophonous. Similarly, wavy lines may be drawn to indicate a ‘sea’ for writing the word ‘see’.

There are many features that make this book laudable. But, to my mind the mostnoteworthy (or rather praiseworthy) is the understanding of the term ‘mlechchha’ arrived at in this book. The author of the book, Dr. Kalyanaraman, has outwitted all subaltern historians by assigning a noble status to this term.

I am sure that Dr. Kalyanaraman’s name will go down the history and he will be remembered with reverence by future generations for this extraordinary contribution.

49 Million Hindus Missing From Bangladesh Census due to Islamic atrocities :: Vanishing Hindu and other India root minorities from Indian subcontinent.

Posted by hinduexistence on May 3, 2010

Indian Subcontinent’s Vanishing Hindu and Other Minorities :Empire’s Last Casualty

~ by Upananda Brahmachari

Dr. Sachi Ghosh Dastidar’s book  Empire’s Last Casualty: Indian Subcontinent’s Vanishing Hindu and Other Minorities a study of effects of religious communalism on a pluralistic, tolerant, multi-religious society. It focuses on the loss of indigenous, Hindu population from die land of their ancestors; and on changes brought about since a multi-religious progressive region of Colonial British India was partitioned in 1947, and its effects on Hindu and nun-Muslim (Buddhist and Christian) minorities, on pluralism and on indigenous cultures.

After Britain’s Muslim-Hindu partition of Bengal Province Past Bengal became Muslim-majority East Pakistan, a part of Islamic Republic of Pakistan, unleashing regular, merciless anti-Hindu pogroms by intolerant Islamists. West Bengal remained in India, with Muslim minority and ever-growing massive Bengali Hindu refugee who turned towards left extremism.

Following a 1971 war of independence against West Pakistan, Bangladesh gained independence, creating the second largest Muslim-majority nation. That war was concurrently anti-Hindu anti-Bengali genocide by Islamic Republic’s army and its Bengali and Urdu speaking Islamist allies.

The book documents the decade-wise “missing” Hindus from Bangladesh Census: over 49 million; larger than 163 of 189 nations listed in World Bank’s April 2003 World Development indicators database-and over 3.1 million (larger than 75 of 189 nations) Hindus lost their lives through the process of Islamization.

Documenting three million-plus lost lives have been painful and difficult; especially when Hindus cremate their dead. Additionally rivers of the world’s largest delta washed away signs of mass murder leaving no clue. All attempts have been made to justify the data presented in the book, hardly-known to the world and rarely discussed in Bengal itself.

A further studies in Dr. Sabyasachi Ghosh-Dastidar’s present book reveals the truth about the vanishing Hindus from the Indian subcontinent in the connotation of prevailing perspective in the following ways.

Genocide and persecution

Only a few centuries ago, Hindu religion and culture used to reverberate from Afghanistan to Indonesia. Indian sub-continent including the present day India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Afghanistan and even Zabol in Iran was Hindu land, and had no Muslim presence till Muhammad bin Qasim’s Arab army attacked Sindh in 711. After repeated invasions, Hindus lost the present day Afghanistan to Muslims in 987. And the areas now known as Pakistan and Bangladesh were lost to Muslims in 1947.

Pakistan comprised of two segments: East Pakistan and West Pakistan. In 1971, East Pakistan became Bangladesh, a separate country. Both Pakistan and Bangladesh have been declared as Islamic republics.

Hindus have always been threatened and discriminated against in Pakistan and Bangladesh on religious grounds. Though in 1947, Hindus accounted for 24 per cent of the present day Pakistan’s population, now the numbers less than two per cent. Situation is equally grave in Bangladesh where Hindus numbered 31 per cent in 1947, but now number nine per cent. Most of the Hindus / Sikhs have either been driven out, or have been killed or forcibly converted in Pakistan and Bangladesh. However, in India, the present percentage of Muslim population is much higher than that was in 1947.

Pakistan and Bangladesh have never explained what they have done to their Hindu population.

Hindus suffer constant threats to their lives, security and property in Pak-Bangla lands. Many Hindu temples have been desecrated and destroyed in Pakistan and Bangladesh. There are regular reports of illegal encroachments on Hindu temples and lands, looting of Hindu property, discrimination, persecution, molestation and abduction of Hindu girls both in Pakistan and Bangladesh.

During 1970 and 1971, Hindus in East Pakistan (present Bangladesh) underwent massive massacres by the Pakistani army and its collaborators. Over two million Hindus are reported to have been killed in East Pakistan during 1970 and 1971 leading to Indo-Pak war in 1971. Besides, countless Hindu women were dishonoured and kidnapped during this period.

As per Dr. Sabyasachi Ghosh-Dastidar’s book, Empire’s last casualty: Indian subcontinent’s vanishing Hindu and other minorities, over three million Hindus have been killed in the process of Islamisation in the area now known as Bangladesh (formerly East Pakistan) since India was Partitioned in 1947. This loss of three million lives remain suppressed from the world.

Even now, Hindus are facing genocide, terror, persecution, dishonour and atrocities in Bangladesh every day. And there is selective killing of Hindu judges, professionals, teachers, lawyers and civil servants in Bangladesh to smash Hindu resistance.

Human rights organisations like Amnesty International are silent spectators of this blatant ethnic cleansing of millions of Hindus.

Forcible conversions and marriages

The alarming trend of Muslims kidnapping young Hindu girls and forcibly marrying them to Muslims is tormenting Hindus in Pakistan and Bangladesh.

Though Pak-Bangla media may occasionally report such atrocities, main stream media in India remains silent in this regard. To illustrate the dismal situation, just one such example is given here. It was reported in Pakistan’s premier English daily ‘The Dawn’ dated November 3, 2005 that 19 Hindu girls mostly from Punjab Colony, Karachi were missing from their homes. Relatives of these girls believed that they had been kidnapped and were being forced to change their religion, the press release added.

Columnist Irfan Husain’s write up entitled “Conversion Losses” published in The Dawn dated December 3, 2005 relates the tragedy of Hindu parents in Karachi whose three young daughters Reena, Usha and Rima of marriageable age vanished in October, 2005. In a few days, the shocked parents received a courier package containing three identical affidavits from their daughters stating that they had converted to Islam and, therefore, could not live with their Hindu parents. And father of the girls just wailed, “We just sit and stare at each other. For us, life is over.”

And this hopeless situation can be the fate of any Hindu parent in Pakistan and Bangladesh.

Kidnappings and killings

Even during the last few months, thousands of Hindus have been forced to flee Pakistan, and take shelter in India.

Increasing incidents of kidnappings, robberies and forcible conversion have rattled Hindu community in Pakistan and Bangladesh. Those unable to pay the ransom are just killed. Hindu film maker Satish Anand’s kidnapping in Karachi and recent release after payment of a huge ransom is just one of such countless examples.

In April, 2009 Sikhs in Karzai in Pakistan were targeted to pay fifty million rupees as Jazia, the tax levied on non-Muslims. As the victims could not pay the said Jazia, their houses were looted and destroyed.

Discrimination and dispossession

Discrimination against Hindus is a fact of life as also a fact of law in Pakistan and Bangladesh.

As per Constitution of Pakistan, only a Muslim can be the President or Prime Minister of Pakistan. As per Bangladeshi Constitution too, only a Muslim can be the head of the state.

The Vested Property Act was passed in 1965 as “Enemy Property Act” in Pakistan. This law legitimised confiscation of Hindu property. After emergence of Bangladesh in 1971, this Act was renamed as the Vested Property Act in Bangladesh, and the state was made the owner of the Hindus’ property. This Act has legitimised the forfeiture of millions of acres of ancestral Hindu lands. And Hindu lands and properties are being taken over by the government (under the Vested Property Act) to be distributed among Muslims.

Way out

In 1950, Prime Ministers of India and Pakistan signed an agreement called the Nehru Liaqat Pact under which both the governments undertook to protect life, liberty, religion and safety of the minorities in each other’s country.

But the government in India is doing nothing in the ongoing genocide and deprivation of Hindus in Pakistan and Bangladesh.

It is the Indian government’s legal and moral duty to ensure that as per the Nehru-Liaqat Pact of 1950, and as per the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights, Pakistan and Bangladesh treat their minorities in a human manner. India must also ask Bangladesh to repeal the Vested Properties Act, and restore the lands and properties of Hindus to Hindus.

The United Nations Commission on Human Rights must also be approached to redeem the situation. Denial of human rights to Hindus violates UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights, 1948.

In Pakistan and Bangladesh, Hindus have only the right to suffer and right to silence. Shockingly, the tragedy of Hindus of Pakistan and Bangladesh remains untold by Indian main stream media.

India’s callous inaction regarding the pathetic plight of Pak-Bangla Hindus is disgusting. Killing of Hindus in Pakistan, in Bangladesh or even in India is not taken seriously by main stream media, by government or by various political parties or by human rights industry in India.

Is it because for some sections in India, only the terrorists, anti-nationals and Pak-Bangla infiltrators are entitled to fundamental and human rights?

Will India ever act to save Hindus in Pakistan and Bangladesh ?

This is an unfinished story to finish the Hindu race by Islamist Jihasdists in Pakistan and Bangladesh. The Hindu-Buddhist race in the Indian sub-continent is decaying after facing the barbaric onslaught of Islam.
