‘Hindu men should sport tilak, women kumkum’ and ‘don’t send children to convent’: Lata Dhavalikar.

Goa minister Deepak Dhavalikar’s wife says, ‘Hindu men should sport tilak, women kumkum’ and ‘don’t send children to convent schools’.

Deepak - LataHENB | Goa | April 6, 2015:: Sanatan Sadhika and Goa’s Craftsmen Training, Factories and Boilers Minister  Deepak Dhavalikar’s wife Shrimati Lata Devi has waded into controversy after she asked parents not to send their children to convent schools even as she urged women to desist from aping Western culture, saying it has led to rise in incidents of rape.

Shrimati  Lata Devi, who is a functionary of right-wing organisation Sanatan Sanstha, was addressing a convention in Margao on Sunday, when she made her statement in favour of Hindu tradition and culture.

While leaving from home, Hindu men  should sport a tilak, while women, kumkum. Always celebrate Gudi Padwa as the Hindu New Year and not January 1st. Don’t send your children to convent schoolsay namaskar instead of ‘hello’ when answering a phone call,” she said.

It’s time we took pride in our rich ancient Indian culture. Now it has become trendy among Indian women not to wear kumkum on forehead; wearing tight and revealing clothes, trimming hair and sporting weird hairdos.

“Incidents of rape are on the rise, largely owing to the fact that women have adopted Western culture,” Shrimati Lata felt.

In a retaliation, Congress spokesperson of Goa, Durgadas Kamat said, “This is a clear attempt to divide the State and country on religious lines. Linking rape to Western culture and exhorting parents against sending their wards to convent schools reveals a sick mentality.” This moron Durgadas (actually Drugdas) doesn’t know that the Bharat is a land of Dharma and must not a land of nasty Congress politics.

Deepak Dhavalikar and his brother Sudin Dhavalikar (Minister of Transport and Public Works Department of Goa) won their Assembly election from Priol and Marcaim seats respectively as members of  Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party (MGP). MGP is the ally of BJP led Laxmikant Parsekar government in Goa. Dhavalikar brothers are famous for their strong Hindutva stand.

Earlier Deepak sparked a row when while speaking in the Goa Assembly on a motion congratulating Narendra Modi on BJP’s electoral victory, he had said that he was confident that the PM Modi would develop India into a Hindu nation and brother Sudin demanded a ban on bikinis claiming that it was against Indian culture and led to rapes.

Shrimati Lata Dhavalikar is a teacher by profession. Shrimati Lata Devi is also a volunteer in Spiritual Science Research Foundation and frontline activist in Hindu Janajagruti Samiti.

As per TIO report, Lata’s husband Deepak Dhavalikar, the Goa minister defended his wife’s view so far. Endorsing his wife Lata Dhavalikar’s views—that influence of western culture has increased rapes and calling upon Hindus not to send their children to convent schools—cabinet minister in the BJP-led state government, Pandurang ‘Deepak’ Dhavalikar told TOI, “If Hindu dharma has to survive then someone has to take responsibility and create awareness about Hindu culture and my wife is doing the right thing.”

Hindu Existence Forum is proud of entire Dhavalikar family who are fighting for the genuine cause of Hindu culture and tradition.

An eye opening article for every hindu. Let us support whole heartedly to Dhavalikar Family because they are doing the holy work of uniting hindus which means protecting our Bharatmata. Hindus must be proud about their traditions, culture and this is the need of the time. This is the only way to pull out the hindus from the mental slavery which is becoming an obstacle in our development. So their work is very important.

Most Hindus are in the dark . They even do not know that Islam and Christianity have foreign origin and those faiths are violently active to destroy Hinduism . Common Hindus are yet to realize that Hinduism is the spirit of this country . Most parents are not aware that Convent education does not inculcate true nationalism and are therefore not conducive to our national security . From the materialistic point of view their main aim is to make personal carrier of their children and to inculcate national heritage within those children who are the future of the nation .
