Sonu Nigam rants on a Twitter row about “Azaan” and “forced religiousness”.
I’m not a Muslim and I have to be woken up by the Azaan in the morning. When will this forced religiousness end in India: Sanu Nigam.
Upendra Bharti | HENB | Mumbai | April 17, 2017:: Popular Bollywood singer Sonu Nigam reached extempore on Monday morning for his controversial tweets on Azzan menace as faced by him. The singer took to Twitter early in the morning when he found himself woken up by the morning Azaan from a mosque presumably near his house. The singer was apparently so displeased by the sound of Azaan that he termed it as “forced religiousness”. Sonu then went on a Twitter rant as he put out a series of tweets on the subject and even questioned, “And by the way Mohammed did not have electricity when he made Islam. Why do I have to have this cacophony after Edison?”.
In no time, the singer started facing severe ‘Secular’ and ‘pro-Jihadi’ backlash on twitter for his comments. Many users criticized him for raking up a religious issue. But, these pro-Azaan (actually Islamic preaching against Kafiir through Jihad) never care for many orders of several High Courts and pollution control boards in which the Azaan (Adhan) menaces are condemned and put on checks for several grounds.
…
Facing Muslim rebuttals on Azaan twits Sonu described the mentality as “Gundagardi”. He clarifies his views on use of loudspeakers of Temples and Gurudwaras in a very clear way.
Thousands of people who are annoyed with the forced listening of Azaan from the mosque minarets in an unbearable way are lauding Sonu Nigam for his bold tweets on Azaan menace five times a day.
..
In many countries in Europe as France, Belgium, Germany, Sweden and in parts of China and Australia, the Mosques adhans (azaan) have been stopped or restricted otherwise.

We Hindus are third class citizens in our own country, whereas muslims and even christians are practising their religion in peace, enjoying very many government benefits. They are a privileged lot, especially muslims.
I hate to be disturbed by any such religious call of any religion, everyday, several times, that too on a loudspeaker, with the full volume on. Can you imagine the Venkatesha Suprabhatha or any “Indian” religious song being aired like this in any locality of any city, which is dominated by either muslims or christians?
So, I endlessly listen to whatever the stuff coming out from mosques everyday, though their full-throttled loudspeakers, helplessly, angrily and frustratingly.
