Amid huge threats, Ramachandra Guha removes his beef tweet saying ‘was in poor taste’.

Anti-Hindu Historian Ramachandra Guha’s provocative Beef Tweet irritated the people.  After being allegedly threatened by ex-RAW officials Guha deleted the tweet.  

Lovely Jain | HENB | New Delhi | Dec 9, 2018:: Controversial historian Ramachandra Guha, who is among the most vocal critics of the BJP, facing flak on Twitter after he put up a picture of himself enjoying beef, was on Sunday forced to remove and twist for his earlier take after threats and phone calls.

Mr Guha on Saturday wrote in his Twitter handle @Ram_Guha: “After a magical morning in Old Goa we had lunch in Panaji, where-since this is a BJP ruled state-I decided to eat beef in celebration.”

Earlier, Ram Guha claimed himself as a vegetarian in a earlier of his tweets.

To this repartee, one Twitter user replied: “If a Hindu eating beef and publicise it he is stigma on this religion. One Ramchandra Guha is doing so. He is trying to tease whole of Hindus by this dastardly action of such publicity. Should be given befitting reply.”

Mr Guha identified this Twitter user RK Yadav as “a former official of the Research and Analysis Wing”, and reported the matter to the social media site on Sunday.

“I would like to place it on record, and will do with every subsequent threat received,” he said.

He also said he has received threatening calls from a Delhi man. The man allegedly threatened his wife and him.

However, later when some more tweets from other people criticized his photograph for being in bad taste, he removed the tweet.

This tweet of one Nitin Patis says: Galib, this is the reasons to be anti-Modi… who was a vegetarian even yesterday, turns as a non-vegetarian in the name of protest?

Thousand of tweets flooded against Ramchandra Guha’ twitter account in last 15 hours which pressurized Guha to take down his controversial tweet.

After taking down his beef tweet, Ram Guha tweeted again as below:

Most of states in India like Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh have a complete ban on cow slaughter. But, the leftist and the secular lobbies always provoke Muslim people to indulge in cow slaughter for their political gain. There is no ban on beef in Kerala, West Bengal and Goa. Disgustingly, the BJP Govt in Goa could not ban the cow slaughter in the state and allowed beef export from other states to meet the need of Christian and Muslim people residing in Goa.

The left and secular intellectuals and academics like Prof. Ramchandra Guha always kept their record high in opposing Hindu sentiments ranging from construction of Ram Temple in Ayodhya to ban on Cow slaughter…. Removal of Art. 370 from Constitution to implementing Uniform Civil Code in the country.
