Mega Hindu Rally by VHP at Delhi Ramlila Maidan to Build Pressure for Ayodhya Ram Temple Law.

VHP holds huge ‘Dharma Sabha’ at Delhi’s Ramlila Maidan, demands law or ordinance for Ram Temple in Ayodhya. 

Ram Prasad Bharadwaj | HENB  | New Delhi | Dec 9, 2018:: The Vishwa Hindu Parishad organised a massive rally, or ‘dharma sabha’, at Ramlila Maidan in New Delhi on Sunday, demanding the construction of Ram Temple at the disputed land in Ayodhya. Over 3.0 lakh people participated in the mega rally to urge the government to bring in ordinance to ensure that the Mandir is built in Ayodhya.

The mega Ram Mandir push by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad comes just a few days ahead of the Winter Session of the Parliament, which is likely to commence from the second week of December. Security has been beefed up in the national capital with the Delhi Traffic Police issuing an advisory about closure of some arterial roads in Central Delhi, in view of the rally.

Vinod Bansal, VHP’s spokesperson told HENB, “The ‘dharam sansad’ – congregation of Hindu priests – at the Ramlila ground today reflected the Hindu sentiment for Ram Temple in Ayodhya. The Govt in the Center and the opposition must take note of the urgency of building a Ram Temple in Ayodhya without hurting Hindu sentiment anymore”.

The RSS’ executive head Suresh ‘Bhaiyyaji’ Joshi also addressed the gathering, expressing his views in favour of starting a Ram Temple through a legislation or ordinance whatever may be to avoid all obstacles so far put before the process to start a magnificant Ram Temple in Ayodhya. “Those in power should listen to people and fulfill Ram Temple demand. This massive gathering which will change the hearts of all those who are not in favour of bringing the bill for construction of a grand Ram temple in Ayodhaya,”Bhaiyyaji, addressed the gathering.

The VHP has expressed confidence that bill for Ram Mandir’s construction was likely to be tabled in Parliament during Winter Session.

Lakhs of Ram Bhakts (Devotees of Lord Ram) and supporters of Ram Temple in Ayodhya converged in the Indian Capital Delhi from the adjacent states of Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan from Saturday evening and huge ‘Bandobast’ (arrangement) was done by the Delhi Police and Administration in a very tough way.

In a bid to tighten the security in the national capital, at least 210 more CCTV cameras have been installed in and around the ground as well as on the roads leading to Delhi Gate and Rajpath. Cops have also set up four special control rooms in order to monitor feeds and relay instructions, the Times of India reported.

Nearly 25-30 companies – consisting of paramilitary forces and Delhi Police personnel – have been deployed at the pot to maintain law and order situation during the rally. Spotters have been deployed on buildings in old Delhi areas, while snipers were also expected to be stationed on high-rises, the report said.

Ram Mandir must be built before the 2019 elections. The government should bring in law for the construction of the temple. Pehle Mandir, phir sarkar (First Temple, then government),” a supporter of Akhil Bharat Shiv Sena participating in the rally told HENB. VHP spokesperson Vijay Shankar also said that the Ram Mandir issue was not a priority for the Supreme Court very unfortunately but “Hindus cannot wait indefinitely.”

VHP general secretary Surendra Jain said that in case the bill does not come in this winter session, the future course of action will be decided at the next ‘dharam sansad’, which will be held in Allahabad on the sidelines of ‘Mahakumbh’ on January 31 and February 1. But, by then, the matter will go more crucial and Govt may face hardest difficult to control the angry Hindu people not getting Ram Temple in Ayodhya after getting assurances for the same time to time.

The Right-wing group had approached the President and governors of all states in earlier phases. In the forthcoming stages, it is going to hold religious rituals and prayers at temples and matths.

It will culminate at Prayag with the “Dharam Sansad” taking place in the presence of priests and saints. They will meet to take stock of things over their demand for Ram temple. The final ‘Dharam Sansad’ in Prayag will be on January 31 and February 1.

Speaking to HENB , VHP international working president Alok Kumar said, “The sabha is the most crucial and strategic step for the early construction of Ram Temple. Ahead of the winter session of Parliament, it will be a call to all MPs for legislation on the matter.”

Surendra Jain told HENB that Sunday’s rally has conveyed the message “that if a bill is introduced in Parliament, nobody will have the strength to counter it”.

Veteran Hindu Seer Ramanandacharya Swami Hansadevacharya attacked the irresponsible mentality of the Indian Judiciary on Hindu matters and criticized the judges of apex court saying that they got their time of vacation in Ram Navmi in the name of lord of Ram, but they could not find any priority to hear the case of Ram Temple pending before them for a decade. “The Hindu samaj is hurt by the attitude of Supreme Court and they are not ready to maintain the priority of the court. The entire Hindu Samaj has fixed their priority for Ram Temple and everybody concerned must accept that priority. Nobody must dare to challenge the Hindu demand of Ram Mandir as reflected in this meeting,” Swami Hansadevacharya warned in the meeting.

The fire-band Hindu woman saint, Sadhvi Ritambhara inspired the audience by exhorting a supreme Hindu unity cutting the edges of caste differences to destroy all evil forces against Ram Temple and she urged Yogi Govt in Uttar Pradesh to initiate the starting Ram Temple in Ayodhya instead of mere lighting 3 lakhs diwas (oil lamps) or building highest Ram statue in Ayodhya.  “All efforts for Ram Statue or beautification in Ayodhya have no meaning, if Lord Rama is still kept in a tent house in a humiliating way. The Modi and Yogi Govts must discharge their duties properly for Ayodhya Ram Temple as they were elevated in power by the people with faith in Lord Ram. That faith should not be shattered anyway,” Sadvi Ritambhara added.

Presided over by Swami Avdheshananda Maharaj of Juna Peeth, the VHP Rally was attended by many Hindu seers like Swami Paramananda Maharaj, Swami Rambhadracharya Maharaj, Swami Chinmayananda Maharaj, Sadhvi Ritambhara and many others.
