Shridhar Sonar | HENB | Rajkot | Jan 7, 2019:: A Hindu woman of poor and backward community ended her life on Saturday after breaking up with her boyfriend under ‘Love Jihad’ guise, who had posed himself as a Dalit first, but later turned out to be a Muslim, in Wankaner of Morbi district in Gujarat. This was one of such hundreds of Love Jihad cases in which Hindu girls and women have been being exploited  and victimized by Muslim boys under fake Hindu names to grab them mischievously.

Police said the victim, identified as Rinku Solanki (21), hanged herself to death from the ceiling of a roadside tea and snacks stall, owned by Sultan Baloch, a relative of her boyfriend Samir Baloch.

Rinku came to know about Samir’s religious identity after Samir’s engagement with a woman of her Muslim religion.

“In his statement, Rinku’s father Dahya Solanki said that Samir had befriended Rinku while posing as a Dalit youth. However, after she came to know that Samir was a Muslim, she broke up with him. Yet, Samir continued to harass her by threatening her. Tired of this, she decided to take the drastic step,” said R P Jadeja, sub­inspector of Wankaner city police station.

Meanwhile, police investigation found that Rinku had chosen Sultan’s stall to commit suicide as she and Samir used to meet there. “She came to the stall and called up Samir and asked him to come there. When Samir arrived at the spot, he found Rinku hanging.

“When we reached there, we did not find Samir, but his family members were over there. They had laid down Rinku’s body on a cot and told us that she had committed suicide,” said Police Inspector Jadeja.

However, after Dahya raised his suspicion that his daughter had been strangled to death, police sent her body for postmortem and other forensic investigation to Rajkot Civil Hospital, the report of which is being awaited.

“Only after the PM report comes out, will it be ascertained whether Rinku was murdered or she had committed suicide. Meanwhile, we have launched a manhunt for Samir,” police  said.

Many of local people suspect that Sultan and Samir both sexually exploited the girl many times before they hang up the body after strangulation.

“The Tea Stall, the particular crime spot, was not a solitary place. The Muslim brothers and family friends of the main accused were also present there. Perhaps the main accused set the total plot. The incident could not happen in a minute. Then what did they do when the Dalit woman ended her life or really murdered,” local people questioned.

Where is the mainstream media who made uproar many times in Kathua rape and murder or Dalit lynching etc. Why they keep mum for a suspected abuse and murder of a Dalit woman now? We find a clue as the offenders are Muslims here.  The mainstream media and the so called intellectuals and vote monger political parties have set their policy, not to utter anything against Muslims!
