Big Ram Mandir push: Sadhus in Param Dharma Sansad announce march from Prayagraj to Ayodhya, to lay foundation stone of Ram temple on February 21.

Upendra Bharti | HENB | Kumbh Nagri (PrayagRaj) | Jan 30, 2019:: In a big push for construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya, Hindu saints and seers on Wednesday announced Mandir March from Prayagraj to Ayodhya that will begin on February 21. The announcement was made at Param Dharam Sansad at Kumbh in Prayagraj, a day after the Centre moved a petition in the Supreme Court seeking its permission to return the 67 acres land acquired in 1993 around the disputed Ram Janmabhoomi Babri Masjid site to its original owners. The Saints have also decided to lay the foundation stone of the proposed Ram Mandir on February 21.

The date for the planned ceremony, akin to a ‘shilanyas’, was announced at the end of a three-day congregation of seers at the Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj.

The ‘dharamadesh’ (edict) issued by the Dwarka Peeth Shankaracharya Swami Swaroopanand Saraswati after the ‘Param Dharam Sansad’ urged Hindus to reach in a group of four in Ayodhya carrying four bricks each. The Swami told that Govt would not be able to impose 144 CrPc for a group of four.

The planned ceremony is being called ‘ishtika nyas’, or the laying of bricks.

The Shankaracharya said the sadhus will begin their march to Ayodhya from Allahabad after Basant Panchami, which falls on February 10.

He said, “We are ready to even face bullets and millions of devotees are ready to sacrifice their lives for the cause of Ram Temple. Nobody will resist the platoon of Sadhus going to Ayodhya to start Ramjanmabhoomi Temple”.

The Shankaracharya criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party-led government in the Center and Uttar Pradesh for not bringing legislation to enable the construction of the temple, even though it had an absolute majority in the Lok Sabha.

The Param Dharma Sansad said the government demonstrated this majority when a bill to provide reservation in government jobs and educational institutes for the economically weaker sections was passed in Parliament. The BJP now raised the issue of Ram Temple for their political gain before Lok Sabha Election.

Swami Avimukteswaranand, the chief disciple of Swami Swaroopananda and the second in command of Param Dharm Sansad said, “In view of the developments, it has been decided that time is ripe for the saint community to give sacrifice for building the temple. Following this, we have decided to follow the civil disobedience movement as initiated by Mahatma Gandhi and march to Ayodhya on February 21.

The Vishwa Hindu Parishad has also planned a two-day Dharam Sansad in Allahabad, beginning Thursday (31/01/2019) and will continue upto Friday (01/02/2019).

The VHP Dharma Sansad will pass resolution on four agenda 1) Construction of Ram Temple in Ayodhya (राम जन्मभूमि पर मंदिर निर्माण) 2) Sabarimala Row (सबरीमाला प्रकरण) 3) The Cleanliness of River Ganga (गंगा की निर्मलता) and 4) Social Unity & Equality (सामाजिक समरसता).
