Swami Swaroopananda Suspends His Ayodhya Ramagraha Yatra for Pulwama Aftermath.

Pratyush Singh | HENB | Varanasi | Feb 17, 2019:: In view of Pulwama terror attack, Dwarika Peeth Shankaracharya Swami Swaroopanand Saraswati has suspended his scheduled Ayodhya March as Ramagraha Yatra to lay fondation stone (Shilanyas) for Ram Temple. The progamme was fixed to hold on Feb 21.

Through a press statement here on Sunday, Swami Swaroopanand expressed his deep condolence to the Martyrs of Pulwama attack and prayed peace for the soul of the departed and their families.

“For the unprecedented and barbaric attack on our Jawans at Pulwama and for the situation created in the country, we are to suspend our Ayodhya programme for now. We must be united always for the Nation,” says the press statement.

Swami Avimukteshwarananda, the chief disciple of Swami Swaroopananda told HENB, “The Shilanyas programme will be held soon after the situation of the Nation is improved well”.

From a source it is known, Ayodhya District Authority is likely to withdraw the prohibitory order (Sec. 144 CrPc) which was imposed on and from Feb 16, in view of Swami Swaroopanand’s programme.

The All India Akhada Parishad has contacted  Swami Swaroopanand with a request to reschedule his programme on Ram Navmi ( April 14), when the Parishad will reach Ayodhya to start the Ram Temple Construction in a ‘do or die’ mode.
