Sheikh Hasina must stop Hindu persecution in Islamic Bangladesh, Otherwise….

Attacks on minority Hindus in Islamic Bangladesh has shaped it as an international Issue.

BD PM Sheikh Hasina must stop ruthless Hindu persecution, otherwise it will be ‘Tit for Tat’ for Bangladeshi Muslims in India.

Upananda Brahmachari | HENB | New Delhi | Nov 11. 2020:: Many Bajrang Dal and Vishva Hindu Parishad workers were detained and released later on Tuesday (Nov 10) by the Kolkata Police while protesting outside the Bangladesh High Commission’s office in Kolkata over reports of atrocities on Hindus in Bangladesh in recent times.

“Our Hindus were tortured in Bangladesh, so we wanted to submit a memorandum to their Embassy,” said a protester.

In the name of protest against the cartoon of Prophet Muhammad as published in a satirical French magazine Charlie Hebdo, the radicals in Islamic Bangladesh have been torturing minority Hindu people there, which heightened in Korbanpur village in Comilla by vandalizing and setting fire on hundreds of Hindu households.

According to reports, over 30 incidents of Islamist mobs attacking or killing the Hindus were reported in Bangladesh in May 2020 alone. Over 50 cases of rapes, molestation, murders and physical attacks, looting of properties, desecration of temples and various other incidents were reported between September to October 2020.

Both Rana Dasgupta of Awami League and Nitai Roy of BNP protested the attacks on minorities in Bangladesh. So, attacks on minorities in Bangladesh are not an exaggerated matter anyway.

While Bangladesh Hindu Bouddha Christian Unity Council, Bangladesh National Grand Hindu Alliance,  Awami League,  Hindu Bouddha Christian Student & Youth Front and Vishva Hindu Parishad – Bangladesh protested the attacks on minority Hindus in Bangladesh and staged rallies and human chains in various places in Bangladesh including Noakhali, Comilla and Bangladesh capital Dhaka on 6th, 7th and 8th November; the Vishva Hindu Parishad, Bajrang Dal and Hindu Samhati in West Bengal also protested the recent attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh in various places by giving deputations in DM & SDO offices and marched out rallies including Bangaon, Mathabhanga, Islampur, Ranaghat and Garbeta.

Bajrang Dal activists being taken into custody after police thwarted their protest rally organised to stage a demonstration against violence on Hindus in Bangladesh, near Bangladesh Embassy in Kolkata on Nov 10, 2020.

Many Bajrang Dal activists were arrested during protest against attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh while protesting before Bangladesh High Commission office on Tuesday. Although Kolkata police tried to prevent the protest as started near Birla Planetarium, but Bajrang Dal  activists reached near Bangladesh High commission in a guerrilla way and burnt effigy of Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina and shouted slogans to stop atrocities on Bangladesh Hindus in a brutal Islamic way.

Though the leader of opposition in Indian parliament and veteran Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Choudhry  condemned the brutal attack on the minority people in Bangladesh, the West Bengal CM and Islamic propagator Mamata Banerjee even didn’t send a word for the recent havoc on the Hindus in Bangladesh in the name of Protest against France and Muhammad’s cartoon as published in Charlie Hebdo.

But, the role of Indian exterior minister Dr S Jaishankar or Indian PM Narendra Modi is too fishy as they did not give any statement on the attacks on minority Hindus in Bangladesh nor de facto BJP president (& Indian home minister) Amit Shah mentioned anything about the present perilous situation of Bangladesh Hindus during his visit in West Bengal on 5th and 6th Nov.

As there is the news of Hindu protest from US, UK and Australia against the Islamic attack on Hindus in Bangladesh, the matter has been shaped as an international issue to save the Bangladesh minorities from the dead hands of radical Muslims there.

If Awami League Govt in Bangladesh and its PM Sheikh Hasina don’t take proper initiative to stop torture on Bangladesh minority Hindus, the retaliating Hindus in WB and India may attack Bangladesh visitors and patients coming to India  for treatment, study or for other purposes.

Indian statesman Dr Subramanian Swamy cautioned Bangladesh for another Army exercise from the end of India, if the attacks of Hindu minorities are not stopped there forthwith.

Sheikh Hasina must try to read the wall writing right now to save dire consequences for Bangladeshi Muslims in India.

‘But, the role of Indian exterior minister Dr S Jaishankar or Indian PM Narendra Modi is too fishy as they did not give any statement on the attacks on minority Hindus in Bangladesh nor de facto BJP president (& Indian home minister) Amit Shah mentioned anything about the present perilous situation of Bangladesh Hindus during his visit in West Bengal on 5th and 6th Nov.’

I think there are a few reasons for this:

    1) Prime Minister Hasina is regarding (not incorrectly) as an ally of India, and New Delhi does not want to alienate her, nor to weaken her position by criticizing her openly.

    2) Persecution of non-Muslims in Bangladesh, insofar as it drives them to migrate to India and adopt Indian citizenship, benefits the BJP, not just in terms of votes, but also by demonstrating the validity of CAA, NRC and NPR.

    3) Even if Hasina did crack down on the jihadis, they would simply reappear after she leaves the scene: the problem will invariably persist so long as Muslims are the majority in Bangladesh. So at best, it only the delays the inevitable.

The inevitable outcome of all this jihadi violence is all non-Muslims in Pakistan and Bangladesh relocating to India, where they should be safe. Given that non-Muslims are an asset whilst Muslims are a liability, if Bangladesh wants to harm itself by getting rid of its assets, it’s not our job to save them from their own mistakes.

To put it bluntly, Bangladesh and Pakistan don’t deserve non-Muslims. Let them become like Afghanistan…
