There was a huge gathering at Jantar Mantar on August 8th remembering ‘Bharat Chodo Andolan’ (Quite India Movement) of 1942.  To end the draconian ‘Colonial Laws’ still in force in India and to bring ‘One Nation-One Law’ throughout the country nationalist people thronged at the venue with the slogans #UniteIndiaMovement #WeStandWithAdvAshwiniUpadhyaya #ChaloJantarMantar(08/08/2021) .

Earlier on Monday, Delhi police had interrogated Upadhyay and other accused till late last night.  In his initial statement Upadhyay had said, “#UniteIndiaMovement has been launched to repeal Colonial Laws and Make Uniform Laws Programme was over at 12:15. The purported video was tweeted in the evening by some miscreants to malign & defame this noble cause”.

“Ashwani Upadhyay and others involved in Sunday (August 8)’s incident to be arrested. Delhi Police is handling the matter as per law and any communal disharmony will not be tolerated,” the police said.

The Delhi Police registered a case on Monday after a video showing anti-Muslim slogans being raised during a protest at Jantar Mantar here surfaced on social media.

Form sources, it is derived that some groups far from the stage raised slogans, “Bharat me rahana hoga to Vande Mataram khana hoga” and “Bharat me Rahana hoga to Jai Shri Ram khana hoga.” (If you want to stay in India, you have to say I Bow to Mother India and Hail Lord Rama).  It is difficult enough how these slogans get the texture of anti-Muslim. But, we are unable to detect any other video made in the programme venue that went viral with a real  sensation of ‘Anti-Muslim’ matters.

Speaking to ABP News+, Advocate Upadhyaya told that the person gave objectionable slogan/statement was not invited in the proggrame and not know to him and he must be drawn under severe punishment after a through investigation immediately. He alos claimed the video containing the objectionable slogan was not made at the venue of progamme but shoot in somewhere else.

Renowned film and TV Serial actor Gajendra Chouhan and Some other social activists participated in the programme, but most of the participants in the Jantar Mantra rally was a spontaneous flow of public supporting the cause of ‘One National-One Law (Uniform Civil Code)’, ‘One National- One Syllabus’, ‘Population Control Law’, ‘Anti-Infiltration Law’ and ‘Anti-Conversion Law’.
