Hindus Are Minority In Twelve Districts, Now Govt Is Fighting Against Islamic Aggression: Assam CM Himant Biswa Sarma.

Sumedha Barua  | HENB | Guwahati | May 8, 2022:: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Sunday said that the Islamic aggression is a major problem of Assam in present days. The legacy of Maharaja Prithu to Latchit Barphukan which resisted the Muslim invaders in Assam time to time, the same legacy has come down to the people of Assam and the Govt through the time circle.

The Assam CM was speaking in a programme in the Guwahati Medical College auditorium which was also named after Maharaja Prithu who was the King of Kamrup during 1206-1228. He was referring the valiant role of Maharaja Prithu to resist the Islamic invasion in his time successfully.

Turning the pages of history, Assam CM told, “Once our ancestors successfully resisted the Islamic invasion in Assam, but why the present problem we are facing even today? This crisis was created by Congress Govt in Assam who invited the Muslim infiltrators in the state for their vote politics and minority appeasement.”

“When Hindu is not a majority in many states you can declare them as a minority. I would like also to request that when the Hindu community is not a majority in the district, in that district, Hindus should also be declared a minority. There are many districts in Assam where Hindus are hopelessly in minority. Some of them even have less than 5,000 Hindus,” he told reporters.

The opposition Congress and AIDUF criticized the remarks of Assam CM and demanded a white paper about Hindu Minorities in 12 districts as claimed by Biswa Sarma.
