Atul Das | HENB | Dhaka | Sept 3, 2022:: A gang of 7 Jihadi juveniles attempted to vandalize idols in Ward No. 6 Shiv Mandir of Sadar Upazila, Burir Hat, Rangpur District in Islamic Bangladesh.
At a side of concert event on 2nd Sept, they simultaneously consulted and started pelting pieces of bricks on the newly made Durga idols in the Chobbis hazari Shiva temple premises.
At that time the local Hindu people saw the matter and caught 6 out of 7 of them.
Then the villagers informed local councilor of that ward and called Lebu Mia. When he came the agitated people handed over 6 boys to the police.
It is beyond imagination, how and where such boys of tender age became such iconoclast? But the Bangladesh Govt and administrations habitually ignore such anti-Hindu propagation from which the Hindu religious rights are challenged by the fanatic Muslim people in every foot step.
From source it has been revealed that spewing venom by the radicals in the social media is also a major cause for the radicalization of the new generations of Muslim community alongside the education and curriculum of the Madrasa (Islamic seminary) system which lead to Hindu persecution in Islamic Bangladesh.
In recent a video clip went viral in the social media where a young Muslim girl was seen to attack Hindu religion in abusive language. The Muslim girl urged her Muslim brothers to destroy all Hindu idols and temples including ‘mandaps’ (make shift pandals to worship in Hindu festivals). She urged to do it by kicking all idols wherever possible. If that work cause pain in legs, then she advised the fellow Muslim citizens of Bangladesh to hurl bombs to destroy all Hindu idols and temples in the country. But, there is no news to arrest those culpable person(s) responsible to make and upload the video against Hindu people and their festivals.
On Friday, at the National Press Club- Dhaka, the believers in the spirit of the Liberation War and the Bangladesh Jatiya Hindu Mahajot Central Executive Committee members with their supporters took out rally and protested the vandalism and destruction of Durga idols under preparation for the upcoming Durga Puja in Manikganj, Satkhira and many other places including vandalism on Ganesha Puja idols in Chittagong and in protest against communal violence against the Hindu community in different parts of the country. The protesters also demanded the three-day holiday on Durga Puja and the release of Jhumon Das Apan.
