Gyanvapi-Shringar Gauri Case: Hindu sides appealed ASI Survey-Scientific Investigation for ‘Shivlingam’ as found Court commissioned survey. Court verdicts to come on Oct 7.

Upendra Bharti | HENB | varanasi | Sept 29, 2022:: On Sept 12, the Varanasi District Court has considered the plea allowing worship at Maa Shringar Gauri temple in Gyanvapi premises to be hearable. This was a big win of the Hindu sides fighting for worship right in Shringar Gouri in Gyanvapi complex.

Since then, the Muslim sides in the related case has started a new game of negation in every foot step for all Hindu demands.

Under the direction of the designated Civil Judge’s Court of Varanasi, there was an investigative survey inside the Shringar Gouri-Gyanvapi complex. Through that survey, a ‘Shivlingam’ was found on 16.5.2022 as claimed by the Hindu sides which was denied by the Muslim sides calling it as ‘fountain’ in the ‘Wojoo khana’ (ablution place).

But, for the actual determination of that ‘Shivlingam’ like structure in its perfect nature and the age (how much old), the Hindu sides led by adv. Hari Shankar jain and Adv Vishnu Shankar Jain filed a petition to the District Judge’s Court for its scientific survey and analysis in proper manner.

Though, the Muslim side objected to conduct carbon dating procedure etc. saying that structure inside is a fountain; the Hindu sides argued to conduct the survey and pleaded necessary expert opinion on this under section 45 of Indian Evidence Act so that Archeological Survey of India can help to resolve the matter in dispute. 

On Thursday (29.09.2022), after hearing both sides, the Varanasi District court has reserved its verdict on Hindu side’s application requesting for ASI survey/scientific investigation of the ‘shivlingam’ which has been found on 16.5.2022. The designated court will pronounce its judgement on this matter on Oct 7.
