Who are backing to save the Islamist goons convicted for Shipra Ghosh rape-murder in utmost brutality at Kamduni on 7^th June 2013?

Trisha Chakladar | HENB | Kolkata  | Nov 22, 2022:: On 7 June 2013, a 20-year-old college student named Shipra Ghosh (Hindu by faith) was abducted, gang-raped and brutally murdered in Kamduni village, 16km from Barasat, North 24 Parganas district about 20km from the ‘city of joy’, Kolkata, the capital of west Bengal. The accused viz. Ansar Ali, Saiful Ali and Aminul Ali were sentenced to death and Emanul Islam, Aminur Islam and Bhola Naskar were placed in life imprisonment by the Additional District Sessions Judge (II) of the Bankshall Court in Kolkata, Sanchita Sarkar on 28.01.2016.

However, the two accused in this case- Rafik Gaji and Noor Ali- were acquitted due to lack of evidence. One accused died during trial.

Experts on Kamduni matters opined that to maintain a secular colour under TMC influence in the gang-rape and murder of a Hindu girl, the crisis managers of local police implicated two Hindus in the case beside seven Muslim culprits.

The victim, a second year BA student of Derozio Memorial College, Rajarhat was walking home along the Kamduni BDO Office Road in the afternoon, when she was abducted and taken inside a factory where she was gang-raped by Islamist perpetrators. After raping her, the perpetrators tore apart her legs up to the navel, slit her throat and dumped her body into nearby field aside a bheri (Pisciculture water body). The chilling rape and murder case of Shipra Ghosh at Kamduni exceeded all the brutality in such row connected with Islamic bestiality.

The body of the victim was discovered on 8 June, 2013. The gruesome event occurred just nine months after the Nirbhaya rape case of Delhi. Various human rights groups and women rights group including local ‘Kamduni Pratibadi Manch’ started protest and demanded justice for Shipra Ghosh. Though the four convicted for  Nirbhaya gang-rape hanged 7 years after brutal crime on march 20, 2020; the ‘rarest of the rare’ rape and murder case of Shipra Ghosh is still lingering in Calcutta High Court to the save the Kamduni rapists.

The case has been pending in the Calcutta High Court for six years. Although there is a lot of commotion in this state about Nirbhaya gang-rape and murder case, the ‘intelectual people’ are almost silent on the Jihadi torture on the Hindu woman at Kamduni. It appears that the ruling Trinamool Govt in West Bengal is favouring the rapists in order to nurture their invaluable Muslim vote bank. In the first hearing in Calcutta High Court after six years, former Assistant Solicitor General  YJ Dastur and eminent lawyer Phiroze Edulji appeared for the convicted Kamduni perpetrators. But it is unbelievable, how all such the expensive lawyers are being engaged on behalf of these murderous rapists. Where do the Muslim villagers of Kamduni get so much money?

The only hope for the victim’s family and friends of late Shipra Ghosh, Advocate Jayantanarayan Chattopadhyay, a left-wing lawyer is fighting bravely for their cause, “Justice for Shipra Ghosh”.

Right now West Bengal people need to organize protests and marches across the state to prevent Islamic atrocities, rape and murder like Kamduni mishap and must demand the immediate hanging of all the culprits connected in Kamduni case.

Earlier, Mamata Banerjee managed to create a stir in West Bengal over the death of Tapsi Malik at  Singur to set her political mileage. But in Shipra Ghosh case of Kamduni, Mamata is not interested as three Muslims are given death penalty and others three for life imprisonment. If the convicts are not saved, the Muslim vote bank of Mamata Banerjee may be damaged grossly by the way.
