Stop criticising Hindutva leaders for narrow political gains:Avdheshanand Giri.

Saffron-clad people should stop criticising Hindutva leaders: Joona Akhada Mahamandaleshwar.

Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Avdheshanand Giri of Joona Akhada, who was here on a personal visit, said this on Tuesday in his reaction to Swami Jitendrananad’s recent remarks targeting BJP leader Uma Bharti, a former chief minister of Madhya Pradesh.

Upendra Bharti | HENB | New Delhi | Feb 17, 2023:: To avoid any internal conflict and mud throwing between the Sadhu Samaj, Joona Akhada Mahamandaleshwar Avdheshanand ji Maharaj has advised “saffron-clad people” against criticising Hindutva leaders for “narrow political gains”, saying they were only “harming Hindus” by doing so.

The Acharya Mahamandaleshwar, who was at Khatima, a town in Uttrakhand (Udham Singh Nagar district) on a personal visit, said this on Tuesday in his reaction to Swami Jitendrananad’s recent remarks targeting BJP leader Uma Bharti, a former chief minister of Madhya Pradesh.

Swami Jitendrananad had criticised Bharti’s recent remarks demanding a liquor ban in Madhya Pradesh. He had said Bharti was making such statements because she has lost her support base.

Swami had also said that no liquor ban can stop the practice of offering liquor at Ujjain’s Maha Bhairav temple.

Bharti’s remarks were meant to destabilise the Shivraj Singh Chauhan government in Madhya Pradesh, he had said.

Accusing Jitendrananad of criticising Bharti to “please” Chauhan, Swami Avdheshanand said he should restrain himself from unnecessarily criticising a “leading Sadhvi”.

“She (Bharti) is a sadhvi first, a politician later,” he said.

It is unfortunate that, the monks and saints in Sanatan Hindu Samaj (society) give indulgence many times in the line of political rifts and personal interests. This affects the unity common Hindu people dividing in many adherent groups. Swami Avdheshanand Giri tried to patch up such differences by giving his statement in the present row in order to make strong unity in the baseline of disciples of all Hindu saints and monks in general.
