VHP and Bajrang Dal stop Two Churches on the allegations of ‘forced conversion’ in Kanpur, UP.

Kanpur: Hindutva groups stop Two Churches on the allegations of conversion; Two Men Arrested, police investigations going on. 

Uttar Pradesh is one of several BJP-ruled states with strong anti-conversion laws, but the missionaries linked with various churches now are hiring houses and some family members with huge expenses to make new prayer circles for alluring Hindus to convert them in Christianity.

Upendra Bharti | HENB | Kanpur | HENB | March 8, 2023:: Two churches under World Mission Society -Church of God and Hind Masih Mandali in Kanpur were recently stopped by Hindutva groups viz. Bajrang Dal and Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP), accusing members of the Christian community of conversions by denouncing Hindu gods and goddesses and giving false assurance of  ‘economic assistance’, ‘free education in convent schools’ and ‘faith healing’.

On Saturday, March 4, Abhijeet and several other people from the Christian community were praying in the  Church of God in Kanpur’s Shyam Nagar. Members of  Bajrang Dal and Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP), interrupted the prayer at 11:30 am, claiming that Abhijeet, Rajat, Jeevan, Shivansh, Sheetal, and Rana were “converting people to Christianity”.

Hemant Sanger, a VHP leader  told HENB  that they received a call from a local person stating that school-going students were being converted in that church. Afterwards, The VHP and Bajrang Dal members intervened the matter with the help of local Police. Police have registered a case under Section 295A (Deliberate and malicious acts, intended to outrage religious feelings) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and relevant sections of Prohibition of Conversion Ordinance which is in force in Uttar Pradesh.

Six people were detained from the church on Saturday, out of which two (Abhijeet and Rajat) were sent  to  judicial custody and others were released later. A huge numbers of copies of Bible, many laptops and computers were recovered from the ‘prayer site’ and organizers of the ‘prayer event’ could not divulge how they procured the huge money for permanent hiring of big building, logistics or where from such numbers of Bible in different languages came from.

Hind Masih Mandali – Shiv Katra- Chakeri- Kanpur -UP- Feb 5, 2023

On March 5, another church, the Hind Masih Mandali in Shiv Katra, Lal Bangla, Chakeri in Kanpur, was reportedly stopped by members of the Bajrang Dal. This church was also accused of carrying out “forced religious conversions.” The pastor and other members of the church were taken into police custody but were later released on the night of March 5.

As a matter of fact, the Christian missionaries in India want to convert India into Christianity by 2030 by “Vision 2030 Nehemiah Push” or otherwise by proselytizing  ‘half of the population of India’ with making ‘4,00,000 Churches in every nook and corner of the country’.   While America and Europe are rejecting Christianity and the Churches are being sold out by various reasons, the International Christian Conversion lobby has given priority to India as a ‘conversion factory’.

The anti-Hindutva press and agencies like ‘The Wire‘  and ‘Hindutva Watch‘ are trying to depict such incidents as ‘anti-Christian’ or  ‘infringement to the Religious Rights of minorities’; but a huge plan and programmes are going on in India to reach out the poor and unprivileged people to convert them in the name of Jesus and a fake heaven of Christianity. Hindu organisations are also boldly opposing the ‘forced conversion’ rackets in the name of Jesus and fake ‘faith healing’.
