Dhirendra Krishna Shastri of the Bageshwar Dham took back 95 people in Hindu Dharma again.

Sagar (Madhya Pradesh): 95 people converted to Christianity six months back, now returned to Sanatan Hindu faith again in the presence of Dhirendra Krishna Shastri of the Bageshwar Dham Sarkar. 

Upendra Bharti | HENB | Sagar | April 30, 2023::  Sunday was the last day of the ‘Srimad Bhagavat Katha’ (discourses on Srimadbhagavatam) by  Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri, the pontiff of Bageshwar Dham as organised at Baheria, of Sagar district of Madhya Pradesh. On the last day, a large number of devotees thronged to listen to the Hindu religious discourses by Dhriendra Shastri in the week-long ‘Bhagvat Katha’ here.  On the other hand, 95 people left Christianity in front of Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri and returned to their Sanatan Hindu Dharma again. These people were converted to Christianity six months back as they were lured by Missionaries in many tricky ways. Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri administered a religious oath to all these people to return permanently to the Sanatan Hindu fold and not to go with others in any case that may come whatsoever.

95 people returned to the Sanatan Hindu faith

It is being told that all these 95 people had left Hinduism and adopted Christianity some time back as duped by the  Christain missionaries through various types of allurements. After listening to the Bhagwat Katha of Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri on Sunday, these people again decided to return to Hinduism and during the Katha itself they went on the stage in front of Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri and took his blessings while returning to Hinduism.

The aspirant people for Gharwapsi (homecoming) expressed their free will to do so without any pressure from anybody and narrated their ordeal on the stage.  Such people said that the missionaries gave them goats, mosquito nets, etc., and gave assurance of free food, education, etc. for the converted people so far. In lieu of these, they converted those people to Christianity at a place in Rajghat and forbade them to worship Hindu deities anyway, advised them not to wear any Hindu sign like Mangalsutra, Bindis, etc, nor even keep the pictures of Hindu gods, and goddesses in their homes, and to join Christian prayer on every Sunday without doing anything of Hindu religion.

As influenced by the charm of Srimad Bhagavat Katha, these people unconditionally returned to Sanatan Dharma as they were also disillusioned by the hollow preaching of Christianity. These people took part in the Aarti and were greeted by Dhirendra Shashtri with Patki (a religious piece of cloth) and Tilak.

Gharwapi (Homecoming) campaign will continue 

After declaring  95 people came back to Hinduism as members of “Bageshwar Parivar ( family ), Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri said from the stage that the campaign to bring back the lost people of Sanatan Dharma due to some reason, will continue as long as he is alive. He urged the rich Hindus to take care of these unprivileged Hindu people who have always been the target of Christian missionaries for conversion.

The next programme  of Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri will be held at Paraswada in Balaghat on May 23-24.
