Toeing down Rly passenger’s objection on ‘Halal tea’, Modi led BJP Govt determined to support ‘Halal Certification’. But, why?

Modi Govt in Rly Dept. compels Hindu passengers to take ‘Halal Tea’ even during holy Savan caused anger; IRCTC staff assures tea served was fully vegetarian, but the passenger rejected any ‘religious certification’!  

Upendra Bharti | HENB | New Delhi | July 23, 2023:: A video of an angry Hindu passenger onboard complaining about ‘halal tea’ being served by Railways is going viral on social media. The passenger complains to a railway official who is seen trying to convince the passenger that the food is 100% vegetarian. However, the passenger objects to ‘halal certified’ foods being served to Hindus, and that too in the holy month of Savan. The railway official finally tells the passenger that he will discuss the issue with senior officials. Later, the IRCTC reacted to the viral video and said that they have taken note of the objection. IRCTC also explained that the tea served was fully vegetarian and that the halal certification was due to the fact that some of the products are also exported in countries where halal certification is a must.

The angry Hindu passenger clearly told the IRCTC staff, “I don’t want any religious certification.”

In the video, the passenger can be seen questioning the railway staff as to what halal-certified tea is and why it was being served during the month of Sawan. Though the staff maintained saying that tea is in any case vegetarian.

“Month of Sawan is going. And you are giving us halal-certified tea?” Hindustan Times quoted a video where the passenger asked the railway official.

Examining the sachet, the officer asked, “What is that?”. “You know, you explain what halal-certified is. We should know it. We know ISI certificate, explain what is a halal certificate,” the passenger said.

Actually,  ‘Halal’ is a parallel economy run by the Islamists to earn huge money through the certification of any ‘legitimate products’ as per Sharia. The money collected from Halal certification is used for the development of Muslims including the Jihadi activities related to Pan Islam. In India, the Halal rackets are closely engaged in the trade of Arms and Ammunition, Drugs, and Cross-Border cow-smuggling, as alleged.

Knowing fully well of it, the Modi Govt in the Center did not take any step to stop this dangerous ‘Halal Certification’ business in India.

Unfortunately, the Modi Govt in Rly Department. compels onboard Hindu passengers to take ‘Halal Tea’ even during holy Savan created the anger of several. That is reflected in the video as went viral.  Though the  IRCTC staff assured that the tea served was fully vegetarian, the passenger rejected any ‘religious certification’!  

Many of the social media activists and office bearers of different Hindu organisations expressed their concerns on the matter.

Jagdish Setthy, the Gen.Secretary, of Virat Hindustan Sangam, a Hindutva organisation founded by Dr Subramanian Swamy, condemned the promotion of ‘Halal’ in Indian Railways. He tagged his tweet with Prime Minister Modi’s Office, The Rly Ministry, and Dr Swamy.

Many citizens of India objected to such Halal imposition on 80% majority of Hindus in the country, while the Muslim population comes roughly at 20%. It also indicates of the level of Muslim appeasement by BJP Govt in the center.

But, nefariously the Rly Ministry is supporting such Halal certification in onboard services through IRCTC (Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation – An Indian public sector undertaking) through some twist of words and Modi-fied jugglery.

As per the report of Mint, it is told: Indian Railways issued a clarification, stating that products used in tea being served in trains are purely vegetarian and of international standards.

“Ministry of Railways reassures passengers that the products used in tea being served in trains are purely vegetarian and of international standards. Some sections in the media have reported that some export-quality tea is being served by IRCTC which has many certificates like FSSAI, ISO, GMP, FDA, Hallal, etc. But it is being highlighted by some media sections as it is only Halal certified,” the railways’ statement said.

“Ministry of Railways clarifies and reassures passengers that the product used is of international standards and hence the manufacturer ensures all compliances, both domestic and the targeted countries for export purposes,” it added.

Railways said, “The mentioned brand premix tea has the mandatory FSSAI Certification. The product is 100% vegetarian with a mandatory “Green Dot” indication. All products have lab reports, indicating 100% vegetarian composition. All ingredients are natural and milk powder and 100% plant-based ingredients are used to make tea and coffee premixes. Further, as per the manufacturer, the product is also exported to other Countries which mandate such certification.”

So, it is clear that the Modi Govt clearly stands in favour of ‘Halal Certification’ and will not step down from the use of Halal-certified products from Rly services through IRCTC. The same policy is maintained by Modi Govt in all its services and sectors involving thousands and crores of rupees in Halal business. Even many Hindu pilgrimage packages conducted by IRCTC provide halal-certified products very objectionably.

Post Script: It is told by a Hindutvawadi BJP insider that PM Modi is so obliged and influenced by his intimate Gujarati friend, ‘ZS’;  he can’t ban ‘Halal’ right now as ‘ZS’ controls thousands and crores of rupees Halal business in India and sends a big packet to BJP HQ every year.
