Hindus celebrate Diwali festival by bursting few Firecrackers for a few hours once in a year. Yet, the entire legal system, courts and police have been geared to come down heavily to prevent that celebration on the specious ground of air pollution. If prevention of air pollution is really the avowed objective, then why have they not banned all motor vehicles, industries, agricultural operations (stubble burning), etc which cause humongous air pollution? They won’t because their purpose seems to be destruction of Hindu religion by deracinating Hindus from their culture.
There are laws that prohibit/regulate sound pollution and use of loudspeakers. Is any action taken against high decibel blaring 5 times a day loudspeakers that cause sound pollution, nuisance, etc 365 days a year?
Is anti-Hindu bias getting institutionalised in our legal system and police?

It’s now the question, can National Crime Records Bureau(NCRB) enlighten the citizens by sharing year-wise details for the past few years about number of cases booked, number of violators arrested, number of loudspeaker equipment seized, etc? If they can’t enforce the laws and court orders regulating loudspeakers that cause sound pollution, nuisance, etc daily, then what moral right do they have to prevent celebration of Diwali by bursting Firecrackers for a few hours once in a year?
Is this selective enforcement of laws not a reflection of the blatant institutionalised anti-Hindu bias of our legal system and police? Selective and biased enforcement of laws is extremely dangerous as it will undermine the very rule of law and the democracy.
It’s the high time to address such discrimination over Hindu Festivals and Prime Minister of India, Home Minister of India and Law and Justice Minister of India are requested to intervene comprehensively and effectively to remove the anti-Hindu bias in our legal system and police, lest the protectors of people’s rights become their tormentors.
______
Postscript: Though the Retd, IPS Officer and prominent thinker on Alternative Hindutva (not in the realm of Sangh Parivar’s half-baked Hindutva ideology of deception and discrimination), Nageswara Rao raised his voice against the discrimination and injustice to the Hindus targeting them for air and noise pollution during Diwali; such un-motherly treatment to the majority Hindu people are countless under every footstep of Administration, Police, Judiciary and other wings of Social Justice in India.
While the Indian social Justice allows Cow-slaughter in front of Hindus hurting their Religious sentiments amidst barbaric cruelty on the animals, especially during Bakar- Eid festival; the same institutions linked with prevention of animal cruelty come united against Jalikattu (Bull race and fighting) in many states in southern India.
The advocates of amity, rights and conservation are always vocal for the water wastage and pollution due to Hindu Festival Holi and Idol immersions in water bodies, such selective secular bodies against Hindus never pointed out the water wastage and pollution due to massive slaughter of animals including Holy Cows during Islamic festival and draining out all the blood, wastage, Caracas directly to the rivers and water bodies from illegal slaughter houses or slaughter points causing huge pollution in environment.
Such lists are many and inconclusive.
The opinion is derived from the X handle of Sri Nageswara Rao which deals with many Hindutva issues and demands concurrently.
