A Hindu woman in Ghaziabad was allegedly raped by three Muslim men when they intercepted her while she was driving a scooty on an isolated stretch. She was overpowered and dragged to the bushes by the men who committed the crime. Five accused are arrested in the related case.

Sonam Singh | HENB | New Delhi | Nov 5, 2023:: A Hindu woman in her 20s was allegedly raped by a group of men while she and her friend were riding a scooty on a deserted road in Ghaziabad, police said. Five accused were arrested in connection with the incident. Two of the accused were arrested after sustaining injuries during a police encounter.

The incident took place on November 30 when the victim was learning to ride a scooty with her friend on an isolated stretch when the accused, Junaid, called his friend, Imran, another accused Tausif, and two of his associates, police said. The men overpowered the girl and dragged her to the bushes where they took turns to rape her, they added.

The accused also dragged the victim’s friend and tried to commit the crime on her. But she was saved as a vehicle passed by the area, prompting the men to flee. A case was filed against the accused persons.

The victim girl and his friend and the accused  are reportedly workers of a local toy production unit and knew each other more or less.

According to the First Information Report (FIR number 682/2023) the shocking incident happened on November 30 on the victim woman, who is 23 years old and is is a native of Delhi. The case was registered at the Tronica City police station of the Ghaziabad district on the complaint of the victim. Police asserted that gang-rape was held  in a coordinated manner.

On Sunday, the police found Junaid while a manhunt was launched to nab the accused. He got injured in an encounter with the police as he was shot in both his legs. He was sent to the hospital for treatment.

The police questioned Junaid at the hospital, following which the search was intensified to nab the remaining accused.

Later, police received information that Imran and his three associates were seen nearby. When the police found them, they asked the men to surrender. Instead, the accused tried to flee, resulting in an encounter. During the exchange of fire, Imran was shot in the leg.

After the encounter, Imran and his three aides were taken into police custody. A pistol and cartridges were recovered from the spot.

Police arrested Juniad, Imran, Chand alias Tausif, Golu alias Harsh and Kale alias Sultan, so far in this case.

Further investigation into the criminal history of the arrested accused was on.

As per another report of the India Today, 9 women were killed in the last 6 months in a sensational trail in Uttar Pradesh’s Bareilly.

Most of the victims are Hindu aged women.

Police under Adityanath Yogi Government could not find any solution to nab the killer and are still on lookout for the serial killer effortlessly. The law and order situation is gradually worsening in Yogi Raj.
