Hindu women’s rally with swords in Sarangpur (MP) stoke row in the media.

Young girls carry swords in an ‘anti-Love Jihad’ Rally conducted by Hindu Jagran Manch in Madhya Pradesh’s Sarangpur.

Chants of Jai Shri Ram could be heard as girls and women rallied in the presence of police. Muslim and Secular press take it objectionable when they accept Muharram rally with lethal weapons sloganeering Allah-ho-Akbar.  

Upendra Bharati | HENB | Bhopal | Jan 10, 2024:: A women’s rally carrying swords was organised by Hindu Jagran Manch, a Hindutva group affiliated to the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), in Sarangpur in Madhya Pradesh on January 7 stoke a row in the Muslim and secular media. The rally was focused on Hindu Women Empowerment against ‘Love Jihad’.

Chants of Jai Shri Ram could be heard as girls and women rallied in the presence of police. Muslim and Secular press take it objectionable when they accepts Muharram rally with lethal weapons sloganeering Allah-ho-Akbar. For a section of media, Hindu rallies with ‘Jai Sri Ram’ slogans are objectionable, but Muslim rallies with lethal weapons with ‘Allah-ho-Akbar’ slogans are quiet acceptable. 

The participants ranged from adolescents to adults marched through congested localities and market places making a huge sensation of pride and valour among Hindus . Many carried swords, sticks, saffron flags wearing a white kurta and saffron dupattas.

Madhya Pradesh is ruled by the BJP with Mohan Yadav as its chief minister, succeeding Shivraj Singh Chouhan. Yadav and Chouhan both are known for their Hindutvawadi genre.
