Hindu Sena moves SC seeking strict action for hate speeches against Sanatan Dharma.

‘Owaisi, Stalin, Raja, Maurya, Kamal Haasan should be booked for hate speeches’, Hindu Sena chief Vishnu Gupta knocks the door of Supreme Court. 

Upendra Bharti | HENB | New Delhi | Feb 26, 2024::  Hindu Sena President Vishnu Gupta moved the Supreme Court seeking direction to issue FIRs against a host of people including Asaduddin Owaisi, Udhayanidhi Stalin, Kamal Haasan, A Raja and Swami Prasad Maurya for making hate speeches against Sanatan Dharma and Hindu sentiment.

The petitioner  pleaded that the hate speeches targeted the ‘Sanatan Dharma’, Shri Ram Temple and holy shrines at  Kashi and Mathura.

 Vishnu Gupta through his lawyer,  filed a plea in the Supreme Court seeking compliance with the directions of the top court in the Tehseen Poonawalla matter relating to hate speeches.

Gupta sought the urgent intervention of the Court in respect of the hate speeches that have been delivered at various events organized all over India with the apparent objective of declaring war against a significant section of the Indian citizenry.

On behalf of the petitioner, Advocate Barun Kumar Sinha, who is also linked with the case  of  the Gyanvapi Mosque and other Hindutva matters for Hindu Sena, has sought the intervention of the top court seeking a direction for the registration of FIR against those making such hate speeches.

The petitioner also sought the issuance of order or direction to ensure that an independent, credible and impartial probe is conducted by a Special Investigation Team (SIT) into the incidents of hate speeches against the Hindu community including the speeches delivered in various places all over the country.

The petitioner said that Udhayanidhi Stalin, Tamil Nadu Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs, at a conference organised by the Tamil Nadu Progressive Writers Artists Association in Chennai, made an alleged hate speech. Udhayanidhi said, “Few things cannot be opposed, they should be eradicated. We can’t oppose dengue, mosquitoes, malaria, or coronavirus, we have to eradicate them. In the same way, we have to eradicate Sanatana (Sanatan Dharma ….. rather than opposing it.

“Similarly, Nilgiris Lok Sabha MP, A Raja supported Stalin’s remarks comparing Sanatana Dharma with dengue and malaria and was like the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) that needed to be destroyed,” the petitioner said.

He alleged that on January 1, Owaisi, a Member of Parliament, had allegedly given a provocative speech at an event organised at Madrasa-e-Arabiya Anwar-ul-Uloom in Hyderabad. His speech was viral on social media. “In the viral video, it is evident that he is inciting the Muslim youth, by issuing an appeal to the youngsters of the community to galvanise and inhabit mosques.

“Referring to the demolition of the disputed Babri structure at Ayodhya, Owaisi alleged that otherwise, Muslims would be bereft of Mosques and their mosques would be snatched away from them,” the petitioner said.

It further said that the speeches are not mere hate speeches but amount to an open call for the murder of members of Hindus, posing a grave threat not just to the unity and integrity of the country but also endanger the lives of millions of Hindu citizens.

Keeping full faith on Judiciary, Vishnu Gupta, the president of Hindu Sena told HENB, “We have full faith on the apex court and we are hopeful that the court of law will pass order to take appropriate step for the hate preachers against Sanatan Hindu Dharma”.

The concerned case WP(C) 000128/2024 is likely to come up for hearing on 04.03.2024 as per tentative enlistment.
