Upendra Bharti | HENB | Ayodhya | Feb 26, 2024:: The Vishwa Hindu Parishad has decided to expand its base to one lakh villages for Hindu empowerment by October 2025 when it will be celebrating 60 years of its foundation after the overwhelming response to the Ayodhya Ram Mandir, its leaders said.

Senior VHP leaders have assembled in Ayodhya Karsevakpuram for the three-day Central Board of Trustees meeting which started on February 25.

on February 24, VHP released a Press Note describing its agenda to be adopted as, “VHP will expand the organization to one lakh places in the country under its Shashthi Purti year (6oth year completion), in the important meeting of VHP Panyasi Mandal in Karsevakpuram, there will be a discussion on organizing the Hindu society and the ongoing population imbalance in the country, love jihad, foreign Muslim infiltration, secretly. It will brainstorm and reflect on serious issues like illegal conversions being carried out by Christian missionaries and will give shape to action plans to deal with it.” In the agenda, the most important Hindutva matter on Cow protection (i.e. Ban on Cow Slaughter) had no mention, however.

Working president of the VHP Alok Kumar, senior RSS leader Bhaiyaji Joshi, VHP National general secretary Bajranglal Bagra  and secretary general (organisation) Milind Parande are among the prominent leaders attending the meeting.

According to the VHP, it has proper presence in around 50,000 villages.

“It has been decided to have VHP’s footprints in at least one lakh villages across the country by next Vijayadashami (October 2025) when it will be celebrating its 60th year of foundation,” said a senior VHP leader.

The pran pratishtha ceremony of Ram Lalla and thereafter massive turnout of people in Ayodhya was also discussed at the meeting.

“VHP cadre reached out to around seven lakh villages across the country to make people aware of the Pran Pratishtha ceremony of Ram Lalla before the event was organised on January 22,” said Sharad Sharma, regional spokesperson, VHP.

“In the next one year, VHP will expand its base in villages,” Sharma added.

According to VHP insiders, the campaign to have foothold in new villages will start by next month in view of Lok Sabha polls which are due in April-May this year.

“The Pran Pratishtha ceremony of Ram Lalla got overwhelming response from people across the country. This is the start of Ram Rajya in Bharat. The VHP does not want this public-connect to break till the Lok Sabha polls,” said a senior VHP leader.

To ensure BJP’s win in the Loksabha election, Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) has appealed to the Hindus across the country to leave behind their caste based thinking and unite in the national interest and vote 100 per cent. VHP has appealed to the youth to ensure that every voter in their home and surrounding areas votes. Besides, Hindus have also been asked not to opt for NOTA at the time of voting.

Reacting upon Muslim vote Bank, the VHP leadership said, “till now, some religious leaders of the Muslim community have been asking the people of their community to vote for a particular political party. But, the appeal of VHP stands for the national interest and for the benefit of majority people”.
