VHP will create an environment for BJP in Lok Sabha elections: Will make nationalism an issue by bringing saints to the front, will campaign for the party without taking names.

Upendra Bharti | HENB | New Delhi | March 31, 2024:: The religious wing of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangha (RSS),  Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) has also entered the electoral fray to help BJP in the Lok Sabha elections 2024. Like the last elections, this time too VHP workers will campaign for BJP without taking the name of the party. Like RSS, the issue of nationalism will be in their focus of campaign. To make its campaign effective, this time VHP will bring saints to the front. Sources say that a huge amount of Rs 500 Corers are being funded for this purpose from the end of BJP, as they accumulated a huge amount of money from the contentious and controversial Electoral Bond Schemes.

As a most prominent outfits of the Sangh Parivar, VHP will be carrying out various awareness campaign asking people to vote for the ‘Hindu cause’ by holding meetings and contact drives among voters with the agenda like  like Cow Protection, Infiltration, Uniform Civil Code (UCC), Conversion, Love Jihad, Hindu Rashtra etc. on which BJP cannot say anything clearly. Such campaigns will make efforts to clear the cloud over Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) also.  Apprehending an electoral negation from the majority Hindus over inaction of BJP over the issues like Cow Protection, Infiltration, Uniform Civil Code (UCC), Conversion etc., BJP is now trying to use VHP as its campaign tool and safety valve. Hundreds of saffron clad saints and seers will be deployed by the VHP in this purpose to achieve the victory of BJP in 2024 Loksabha election.

For last 10 years being in central power, BJP has did nothing positive on banning Cow slaughter, Checking Infiltration, introducing Uniform Civil Code (UCC), or Stopping Conversion. Apprehending the Hindu repercussion on these issues, BJP has now moved forward with the horses in Sangha Parivar in the election chess-board to save a stalemate.

As quoted by TOI, VHP General Secretary Milind Parande said recently, “VHP feels that protecting Hindu interests is in the overall interest of the Nation. The concept of of furthering Hindu cause does not mean bringing any disadvantage to others. Hindus are the majority in this country, all they want is that their interests should be protected without harming others”.

“The people will be reminded that voting is not only their right but also a duty as Hindus. The drive will also ensure registering new voters in large numbers, said Parande. Normally, the VHP is not actively involved in state elections or other smaller polls. However, during the Lok Sabha it does make it a point that voters are motivated. The people also need to know about the elements opposing  decisions taken in the interest of Hindus, like CAA or cow protection”, Parande said.

The Sangh Parivar includes Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) at the top along with 34 other affiliated outfits. Volunteers of all these organizations will be participating in the drive to encourage voters to come out and exercise their franchisee. Both RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat and and general secretary Dattatreya Hosabale have said the organization has always promoted 100% voting. For this support services of campaign and propaganda in favour of BJP, the party is now hugely funding to Sangha Parivar for its political interest.

Sources said, such funding has already been started to reach through Seva Bharati, Ekal Vidyalay, FTS (Friends of Tribal Society) to VHP for the execution of “Vote for Hindutva” campaign.
