Upananda Brahmachari | HENB | New Delhi | Sept 17, 2026:: A complaint has been filed by Advocate Amita Sachdeva (AOR-SC) before the Patiala House Court, seeking the registration of a First Information Report (FIR) against Sanjay Azad and a minor girl associated with the CJP. The complaint alleges that Hindu gods and goddesses were insulted through posts published on an X account allegedly belonging to the minor.
The matter has been listed for hearing next week before Chief Judicial Magistrate Mridul Gupta. The complaint was submitted by Advocate Amita Sachdeva.

The complainant alleges that the accused jointly published malicious and derogatory posts through the minor’s X account, allegedly insulting Hindu deities including Bhagwan Shiv, Bhagwan Shri Krishna, Maa Saraswati, and Maa Durga. According to the complaint, some of the posts described Hindu gods as imaginary, called for the destruction of Hindu religious texts, allegedly outraged the religious sentiments of Hindus, and promoted communal disharmony.
The complaint states that on or around September 3 and 4, 2026, while present at the Supreme Court or in her chamber there, the complainant viewed the posts published by the minor, which were publicly accessible. She alleges that the posts caused outrage to her religious sentiments and those of other Hindus. The complaint characterises the posts as part of a continuous course of conduct originating from the same account.
Among the examples cited is a post dated April 9, 2026, which the complaint alleges insulted Goddess Durga through what it describes as a “direct, filthy imputation.” Another post allegedly mocked Maa Saraswati by sarcastically referring to a PhD degree obtained at a time when women were traditionally not permitted to pursue education.
The complaint also cites a September 8, 2023, post allegedly disparaging Krishna Janmashtami fasting and Bhagwan Shri Krishna through a derogatory collage. Another example is an August 18, 2026, captioned video that allegedly mocked devotees of Bhagwan Shiv by referring to them as “blind believers.”
According to the complaint, these posts demonstrate what the complainant characterises as a deliberate attempt to demean Hindu deities, scriptures, and religious beliefs, thereby promoting communal discord.
The complaint further alleges that Sanjay Azad and the minor jointly operate and use the same public X account from the same location, thereby amplifying the alleged impact of the content and promoting hatred towards Hinduism.
It also asserts that the account reflects a consistent pattern of allegedly offensive posts dating from 2023 to 2026, including content portraying Hindu gods as imaginary and advocating the destruction of sacred texts. The complainant contends that this amounts to a habitual propagation of what she describes as anti-Hindu and communally inflammatory content by the respondents.
The complaint further states that despite being notified about the allegedly objectionable posts, neither respondent has removed them and that the account continues to remain active.
The next date of hearing for the petition is September 23, 2026.
Advocate Amita Sachdeva (AOR-SC) has been pursuing legal action in cases involving what she describes as attacks on Hindu sentiments, Hindu Dharma, and Hindu deities. She has previously lodged complaints against various individuals and authorities over allegedly anti-Hindu or anti-Sanatani content, including allegations involving Rana Ayyub, Dhruv Rathi and YouTube-related content.
