Subarnomoy  Pandey for Hindu Existence | Medinipur | 20 May 2013:: It is a Jihad of iconoclasm surfacing here and there in Medinipur town.  From the second Sunday of this month the Hindus of Medinipur town are facing a ‘Jihad against Infidels’ fomented by the fundamental Muslims of the town, even from some Islamic felons coming from outside.   200 Muslim miscreants came together in the late night on Sunday (on 12-05-2013) and rampaged in a Kali Temple near Keranitola in Medinipur Town (West Midnapore Dist of West Bengal). Police imposed partial restriction in portion  in the town subsequently. The Bajrangdal and some club members blocked the roads and observed bandh in some areas on Monday morning in the protest of Islamic hooliganism in Mediniapur.

The tension between Hindu Muslims started in the post evening on 12th May,  when a Hindu Motor Cycle rider collided with a Muslim bicycle rider and the local Muslims ceased the motorcycle and captivated the Hindu man for a ransom of Rs. 25,000/-. Knowing the situation, the Hindu activists of the town reached the place of turmoil to rescue the Hindu Man without any ransom. Losing the captive, angry Muslim perpetrators gathered stealthily to attack the local Kali Temple as a revenge. The deity of Goddess Kali is fully damaged by the attackers with iron rods and lethal weapons. When the Hindus were getting ready for a retaliation, Police and Rapid Action Force (RAF) took the control the area to pacify Hindu wrath by force. Three Hindu boys were detained by police initially. Afterwards police arrested another six Hindu persons, but not a single Muslim was arrested for the damage and desecration of the Hindu deities and the Hindu temple. Mamata Banerjee’s police is very much proactive to protect the Muslim Hooligans in Medinipur and Kharagpur Towns. Some the Hindu protesters were severely beaten up by the cops favoring the Muslims. An Administration, Police and Judiciary trio is plying a foul role against victimized Hindus by denying the bail of the falsely accused persons so far. A legal team of RSS and Bajrang Dal are monitoring the crisis so far.  BUT THERE WAS NO NEWS FOR THIS IN THE SECULAR MEDIA IN BENGAL.

But, it was reported in a pro-Hindu website that “on 12/05/2013 at around 9:00 PM, some boys from Goyla Para were  gossiping by the roadside near Keranitola on their motorcycles, suddenly a large container truck came in high speed, after delivering motorcycles to a nearby shop Palco Motors, and hit one of the boys. That made the boys furious and they stopped the truck and demanded an apology from the driver. The driver allegedly refused to tender any apology and rather started using abusive language against the boys. This made the boys hostile and they broke the headlamp of the truck. Hearing the chaos, a group of people came out from the Dewan Sporting Club – which regularly receives huge fund from the proprietor of Palco Motors, situated just opposite to the incident. The club secretary Shaikh Laltu and Shaikh Tulu came to the spot immediately along with other boys and started beating the boys. They also started pelting stones towards them. Some brickbats thrown by the club members hit the mazar nearby resulting some damage into it. Then they accused the Hindu boys for desecrating the mazar and attacked the Kali Temple beside the road. They kicked at the idol, destroyed it and started playing with broken idol. Hindu boys from Goyla Para could not tolerate it anymore. They called other people from their area and pounced on them. Allegedly they also attacked the mosque and mazar and damaged its properties. Once, they were gaining the control over the situation, the administration called for RAF from Salua and Sec 144 was imposed.

Bajrangbali attacked in MedinipurThe situation is still very tensed in the area. Hindus, in the area, are fuming for revenge. It is reported that even RAF personnel are offering them moral support. Local MLA Mrigen Maity and former commissioner Nazim Ahmed have reached the place and appealed for maintaining peace & communal harmony.“

The situation turned grim when some conspirators put some garbage in front a mazar (where Muslims worship a grave as a holy object) near Palbari area in the night of 19th May and as a motivated revenge (after spreading the rumours of desecration of mazar), the Muslim felons broken a Bajrangbali  deity of a temple near Gandhi Ghat beside Kansai Bridge (the gateway of Midnapore town) in the early morning of 20th May.

Apprehending a severe retaliation from the Hindus of the town, Sri Soumen Khan, local Councillor of Medinipur Municipality rushed to the place with police contingent and cleared the broken idols of Bajragbali in order to install a new idol of Bajrangbali within 6-30 am.

The tension between Hindus and Muslims in the town is growing fast. And  Administration and Police authorities are playing a very objectionable role under the dictum of pro-Muslim TMC party from the beginning. Four more Hindu activists of Bajrag Dal have been arrested on 20th May and no Muslim is arrested yet.

All the 13 Hindus arrested so far are being denied from getting bail under a repression made by the ruling party in West Bengal led by an Islamic mentor named Mamataz Banu Arjee.

For last few years, Medinipur Town has been turned as the dane of Bangladeshi Muslim infiltrators. They are mainly concentrated in the areas Pathan Mohalla, Dewan Chak, Sepoy Bazar and Aurobinda Nagar near Medinipur Court.  These Muslims are engaged in Love Jihad and women trafficking, desecrating Hindu Temples, land grabbing from Hindus, illegal cow slaughtering even within  non-Muslim areas and putting many hurdles to Hindu festivals.

Unfortunately, this town  gave birth of the culprit of Direct Action Day (Calcutta, 1946), Hasan Shaheed Suhrawardy, who is still an inspiration of the subversive Muslims of Medinipur.

To believe that one’s faith cannot be openly practiced is unthinkable. However, for many Pakistani Hindus, the slightest acknowledgement of their Hindu faith can endanger their lives.

“There is fear 24 hours a day…Hindus see themselves as helpless,” Chetan Ram states. Young girls are ripped from the arms of their mothers, married off to strangers, and forcibly converted to Islam; never to see their families again.

Families live in utter poverty. Even if they are employed; they are at the mercy of the jagirdars, or landlords. The Muslim jagirdars pay Hindu workers at their own accord, leaving many of the already impoverished Hindus unpaid.

In order to escape the dire fate they face in Pakistan, many flee to India for safety.

In January of 2013, a team from the Hindu American Foundation, traveled to Jodhpur, Rajasthan. Over five days, the team visited three Pakistani Hindu refugee camps, providing medical aid to over 400 refugees. During their time there, the team listened to one heartbreaking story after another. Amar Lal migrated to India in April 2009 from Bahawalpur after his unmarried sister-in-law was kidnapped and the family never heard from her again. He also noted that he knew of four to five additional Hindu girls that had been kidnapped in Bahawalpur. – HAF’s Victims of History Report 

Despite fleeing from religious persecution, these individuals are still not formally recognized as refugees by the Indian Government or the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).

Court rejects UP govt’s plea to withdraw terror cases.

Ban Terror Face of Akhilesh YadavAshish Tripathi | Lucknow | TNN | 10 May 2013:: A local court in Barabanki  has turned down request of the Samajwadi Party(SP) government in Uttar Pradesh (UP) to withdraw terror cases against two terror accused alleged to be Harkat-ul-Jihad-al-Islami (HuJI) operatives. The court said that the trial is inching towards the end, hence withdrawal of cases at this point of time is not feasible. The court further added that the withdrawal of cases is not in public interest.

Special sessions judge Kalpana Mishra rejected the application moved by the government on April 24 to withdraw cases against Tariq Kasmi and Khalid Mujahid, who are accused in the Gorakhpur serial blasts case.

The state government had filed an application in the court expressing its willingness to withdraw the cases against the two accused in Gorakhpur serial blast case. The blast took place in May 2007 at Golghar crossing through a bomb planted in a cycle. Six persons were injured in the blast. The Special Task Force of UP Police had arrested the two alleged HuJI operatives from near Barabanki railway station with explosives. They are facing charges under the Explosives Act, 7 Criminal Law Amendment Act, and attempt to murder.

The government told the court in its application that the Nimesh Commission constituted by it has found anomalies in the arrest. The government also said that it had got the matter probed again by the district magistrate and superintendent of police of Gorakhpur. The report submitted by the officials has also raised questions over the timing and place of arrest. The government also said that it wanted to withdraw the case in public interest and for the sake of communal harmony.

However, the court refused to buy the argument. The court said that the government did not file an affidavit with the application and despite being a confidential document, it was given openly instead of in a sealed envelop.

The court also said that the government has not elaborated the point that how withdrawal of cases are in public interest and necessary for communal harmony.

The SP had also promised in its election manifesto that if voted to power, it will withdraw cases against Muslim youth falsely implicated in terror charges. 

Apart from several social activists, Qasmi’s family had requested the state government to withdraw the case against him, alleging that he had been falsely implicated.

The opposition parties had criticized the decision saying that dropping of case against Qasim is a blatant example of Muslim appeasement.

The SP, however, had justified the decision saying that the government is providing justice. [from: TOI].

A large number of people, including those riding on motorcycles, took part in it, shouting slogans against terrorism and the policies of state government. Activists of BJP, Vyapar Sangathan, VHP, Gorakhnath Poorvanchal Vikas Manch and others took part in the procession.

They reached the DM’s office and staged a sit-in. The processionists handed over to a memorandum to the district magistrate.

The memorandum stated that terrorism is a threat for the entire human race. “We have been demonstrating since April 29, against the state government’s decision of withdrawing cases against terrorist in the state.

This would give rise to terrorism. Withdrawing cases against bomb blast accused was testimony to the fact that in a bid to appease Muslims, the Samajwadi Party government has come out in open support of terrorists.

Huji and Indian Mujahideen are against the nation and people related to such organizations should be dealt severely.

The government should rise above vote bank politics and stop linking terrorism with minorities. Terrorism is a threat to all,” the memorandum stated.

State BJP president Laxmikant Bajpai, BJP MP Aditya Nath and several other leader took part in the sit-in.

War Field of Dhaka. Islamists vs BD PoliceAFP |  6 May 2013 | DHAKA: Bangladeshi police broke up a protest by tens of thousands of religious hardliners and shut down an Islamist television station Monday after 32 people died in some of the fiercest street violence for decades.

Hundreds more people were reported injured in running battles as riot police broke up the rally near a key commercial district in a pre-dawn raid.

Dozens of demonstrators were also arrested, while the leader of the protests was put on a plane to the second city Chittagong.

Hundreds of bankers, insurance officials and stock market traders had to sleep in their offices as the sound of gunfire echoed around the Motijheel Commercial Area through much of the night.

Shops and vehicles were set alight while the roads were littered with rocks that protestors had thrown at police, witnesses said.

Police said they used sound grenades, water cannon, tear gas and rubber bullets to disperse at least 70,000 Islamists who were camped at Motijheel as part of a push for a new blasphemy law.

“We were forced to act after they unlawfully continued their gathering at Motijheel. They attacked us with bricks, stones, rods and bamboo sticks,” Dhaka police spokesman Masudur Rahman said.

The protesters dispersed early Monday, he added.

Mozammel Haq, a police inspector at Dhaka Medical College Hospital, said that 11 bodies were brought to the clinic, including a policeman who had been hacked in the head with machetes.

A total of 21 other people were killed in the protests, according to an AFP toll compiled through police and medical officials.

This included eight people killed in the Kanchpur district on the southeastern outskirts of Dhaka, said the sources.

At least two people were known to have been killed in the southern coastal district of Bagerhat where police exchanged gunfire with several thousand Islamists, police spokesman Shah Alam told AFP.

A pro-Islamist television channel which broadcast live footage of the raid on Motijheel was meanwhile forced off the air in a dawn raid.

Diganta Television’s chief reporter M. Kamruzzaman said around 25 plain-clothed policemen and an official from the broadcast commission had entered their studios without warning.

The violence erupted Sunday afternoon after police tried to disperse tens of thousands of Islamists who had blocked major highways in Dhaka.

The protests had been instigated by Allama Shah Ahmad Shafi, the leader of Hefajat-e-Islam who is said to be around 90 years old.

Police managed to persuade Shafi on Monday to leave his madrassa in Dhaka, escorting him to the airport from where he was to be flown to Chittagong.

In a sign of their desire to avoid inflaming tensions, police insisted he had not been arrested but was leaving of his own volition.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has ruled out a new blasphemy law, insisting she will not cave into the demands of hardliners who have been infuriated by bloggers whom they accuse of insulting the Prophet Mohammed.

Chanting “One point, One demand: Atheists must be hanged”, activists from Hefajat-e-Islam marched along at least six highways on Sunday, effectively cutting Dhaka off from the rest of the country.

Police said the number of protesters reached around 200,000 people at one point although the numbers had dwindled by the early hours.

Social media networks were inundated with photos of bloodied Islamists lying on the streets after the crackdown.

The main opposition Bangladesh Nationalist Party, which had given its backing to Hefajat’s Dhaka blockade, on Monday accused the government of “killing hundreds of people and concealing the bodies” but gave no proof.

Fearing further violence, Dhaka police Monday banned all protests as well as the carrying of firearms until midnight.

Bangladesh, an officially secular country with a 90 percent Muslim population, has seen a surge in violence between Islamists and government forces since the start of the year, when a court began handing down war crimes verdicts related to the 1971 independence conflict.

Three leading Islamists have so far been convicted for their role in mass killings during the conflict, which saw what was then East Pakistan break from the regime in Islamabad.

The overall death toll in violence between religious hardliners and the police since January now stands at around 150.

Mumbai gets its first Shariah court to settle civil, marital disputes.

The court, set up by the All India Muslim Personal Law Board, will be inaugurated on Monday at Anjuman-i-Islam, near CST, and will serve to fill a long-felt need of the community.

Shariah courts already function at many places in the country, such as Hyderabad, Patna and Malegaon. Here qazis appointed by the AIMPLB hear the community’s various disputes, barring criminal cases, and deliver judgements. “This court will function to settle mainly family disputes pertaining to marriage, divorce and inheritance. Marriage disputes will be settled quickly and the couples will be told to either reconcile or separate if reconciliation is not possible. It will save the community much time and money as fighting cases in civil courts is expensive and time-consuming,” said AIMPLB secretary Maulana Wali Rahmani.

For a dispute to be heard by a Shariah court, both the parties in the dispute will have to approach the court. If one of the parties has approached a civil court, then it will have to withdraw the case for the Shariah court to accept the matter.

Rahmani said Shariah courts do not compete with the civil courts. “On the contrary, Shariah courts will lower the burden of the civil courts where thousands of cases are pending and the judges are overworked,” he said.

Senior advocate and head of AIMPLB’s legal cell Yusuf Muchalla called the city’s Shariah court a “significant alternative dispute settlement mechanism”. “This court will decide within the framework of Muslim personal laws and mainly deal with matrimonial disputes. This is a kind of domestic tribunal set up by the Muslim community.” He added that district and high courts in Bihar, Jharkhand, Bengal and Orissa have upheld several decisions given by the Shariah courts established by the Imarat-e-Shariah (House of Shariah) headquartered in Patna. Muchalla maintained that the Shariah courts were well within the law of the land.

The Constitution of India that the constituent assembly had framed with great diligence and dedication was promulgated on 26 January 1950. Among its Directive Principles there is a recommendation for the Common Civil Code. Indeed it is a pity that the proposed code remains just a piece of paper in the teeth of opposition from many ethnic and religious parties mainly the Muslims.

Violating the spirit of the Constitution, many political parties with high ambitions but low vote gathering mechanism took recourse to appeasement of the Muslim community. The Indian National Congress, the Samajwadi Party, the Indian Union Muslim League and so on spearheaded a movement to let the Muslim community not only have full freedom in observing their personal law but went a step ahead and asked for establishment of Shariah Courts to entertain and decide law suits relating to marital disputes and other personal law problems provided both parties are Muslims and no party has already approached the civil courts established under law of the land.

Mumbai, Maharashtra has had the first Shariah Court inaugurated today, 30 April 2013.

In my opinion it is a sad day for the administration of civil law in Bharat as courts have been bifurcated on the basis of religion leading to further bifurcation of thought and ideas of different communities inhabiting this great land.Thank God the criminal law and its administration remains common to citizens of all faiths. We should be thankful to the British legal luminaries, judges and Indian lawyers who were far sighted and did not allow Shariah anywhere near administration of criminal justice.

With a view to honoring the founding fathers of our Constitution who favoured the Common Civil Code for men and women of all faiths who were citizens of India, we should strive to have at least common civil courts to administer justice in civil law of one and all.Shariah courts are negation of the lofty principles of Uniform Civil Code that our Constitution stands for.

Let us strive to honour the provisions of our Constitution both in letter and spirit so that Bharat moves forward as a united nation commanding the respect of civilized human beings.

Shariah Courts are a part of the Separatist and Divisive tactics of some Muslim organisations. The aim is to separate the Muslim majority areas and administer it differently. Looking at history, we find that Sir Shahnawaz Bhutto pressured the then govt to bifurcate Sindh from Bombay province. Later they had Sylhet in the East separated from the Hindu majority Assam and made it a part of East-Pakistan. Now the courts are being separated for Muslim civil disputes to be adjudicated by the Shariah courts. Thus the foundation is being laid by the anti-national elements to have as many divisions of the Indian social set up as possible so that Islamic Jihad can prevail. The Nationalist elements must oppose it tooth and nail and prevent vivisection of our Bharat.

PTI | 26 Apr 2013 with subsequent updates | LAHORE – ISLAMABAD | eSource- TOI :: The prime suspect in the attack on Friday on Indian prisoner Sarabjit Singh had quarrelled with him a few days ago but Pakistani authorities at Kot Lakhpat Jail did not bother to take notice of the incident, official sources said on Friday.

Death row prisoner Amer Aftab tried to attack Sarabjit a few days ago and abused him, the sources told PTI.

The reason for the altercation could not immediately be ascertained.

Aftab, who was being held in a barrack near Sarabjit’s barrack in one of the most secure sections of Kot Lakhpat Jail, was among at least six prisoners who attacked the Indian national at about 4.30pm.

Sarabjit was hit on the head with bricks and his neck and stomach were cut with blades, at least two sources told PTI.

One source said Sarabjit was attacked within his barrack. However, unnamed officials of Kot Lakhpat Jail were quoted by Pakistani TV news channels as saying that only two prisoners - Amer Aftab and Mudassar – were involved in the attack.

The officials were also quoted as saying that Sarabjit was attacked when he and other prisoners were brought out of their cells for an hour-long break.

The sources rejected these claims and said Sarabjit was assaulted by at least six prisoners within his barrack.

Aftab, who was sentenced to death for murdering a mayor’s brother, and Mudassar were locked up after the attack and were being interrogated, sources said.

Malik Mubashir, deputy superintendent of prisons in Punjab province, was appointed to head the inquiry into the attack.

Mubashir would probe all aspects of the incident and ascertain whether some jail officials may have been involved or linked in any way to the attack on Sarabjit.

He will also ascertain whether the attackers were motivated by “religious elements”, the sources said.

Sarabjit was admitted to the state-run Jinnah Hospital with a severe head injury on Friday evening.

After a CT scan, he was kept in the hospital’s intensive care unit and his condition was described as critical.

Authorities had tightened Sarabjit’s security after the recent execution in India of Afzal Guru, who was convicted of involvement in the 2001 terror attack on the Indian Parliament.

In January, another Indian prisoner in Kot Lakhpat Jail, Chamel Singh, died after allegedly being assaulted by prison staff.

Though he died in mysterious circumstances, Singh’s autopsy was performed almost two months after his death.

Sarabjit was convicted for alleged involvement in a string of bomb attacks in Punjab province that killed 14 people in 1990.

His mercy petitions were rejected by the courts and former President Pervez Musharraf.

The outgoing Pakistan People’s Party-led government put off Sarabjit’s execution for an indefinite period in 2008.

Sarabjit’s family says he is the victim of mistaken identity and had inadvertently strayed across the border in an inebriated state.

While Swami Aseemananda and Sadhvi Pragya Bharti are languishing in Indian Jails with fake charges and facing all severities of denial of bails, the accused and born Islamists are being freed  to execute further Jihad against Hindus. The Akhilesh Yadav Government of Samajwadi Party & its Islamic allies,  has withdrawn charges against Tariq Qasmi, the alleged HuJI militant behind terror attacks in Uttar Pradesh in 2007.

On December 22, 2007 Mohammad Tariq Qasmi and Khalid Mujahid were arrested from Azamgarh for the blasts. Explosives were also recovered from the duo. The Uttar Pradesh ATS then described Qasmi, a Unani doctor, as the area commander of HuJI in Uttar Pradesh and Khalid Mujahid as the head of the action group of HuJI.

In a significant decision that has opened the Pandora’s box, the State Home secretary announced the withdrawal of case against Qasmi on Wednesday.  The state home secretary Sarvesh Mishra said that the government’s recommendation has been sent to the court through the law department. However, he added, the final decision of dropping the case would have to be taken by the court.

In a series of embarrassing development under Islamic conspiracy, the trial court has yet to frame charges against Qasmi in the cases.

This is the first instance in which the Samajwadi Party (SP) government has withdrawn a case against an alleged terrorist. Official sources say that terror charges against Khalid Mujahid would also be withdrawn soon.

However, senior police officials fear this might start off a series of such releases driven by votebank politics which could have dangerous consequences. “For its own political games, the government is neutralizing all the efforts we put in to arrest these terrorists,” a police official with the Uttar Pradesh anti terror squad (ATS) lamented.

The SP had promised in its election manifesto that innocents jailed on terror charges would be freed once the party came to power. The Akhilesh Yadav regime has been under great pressure from clerics and Muslim organisations to honour its promise.

Opposition parties have criticized the SP regime for its decision. “The SP is clearly out to appease the minorities with an eye on the Muslim votebank. But this is a very dangerous trend it is setting,” BJP spokesman Vijay Pathak said.

More importantly, the withdrawal of the cases promises to open up a Pandora’s box.

Besides being a major embarrassment for the ATS and the police, questions are sure to be asked about how the ATS had prepared the charge-sheet, what now happens to the evidence and relevant material placed before the court, and, most importantly, who are the real culprits responsible for the blasts.

Lawyers’ organisations have threatened to take to the streets on this issue. “The court serial blasts case is a serious matter. Several lawyers lost their lives. We will not allow the (state) government to withdraw the terror charges,” says Ajay Pandey, vice-president of the Central Bar Association.

Senior advocate Padm Kirti says it might not be easy for the government to withdraw the charges. “Though under the Criminal Penal Code the government has the right to withdraw any case, in this case it would be rather difficult as the STF and the ATS have submitted strong evidence, the charge-sheet has been filed and the case is in its final stages,” he says.

According to law, the court hearing the case has the final word on whether the charges can be withdrawn.

A PIL has been filed in the Allahabad high court against the withdrawal of the case. The petitioner has submitted that the two HuJI terrorists were arrested along with a large supply of explosives.

Experts say it would be virtually impossible to deny all the evidence that the STF and ATS have submitted before the court.

If the government chooses to rubbish the entire evidence, it would have to prove how the STF and ATS officials stand to benefit by framing the entire case.

More and above the influential Minister Azam Khan is also controlling another lobby of Jihadis in the state.

Islamic hooliganism and riots are growing through out the state to frighten the peace loving Hindu people of Uttar Pradesh.

Pressure Politics from the Political Jihad groups made this success for releasing such Terrorist from the clutch of Police and Judiciary under a heinous role of State Administration.

UP govt. is now contemplating 30% reservation for Muslims in political representation, education and employment for getting a boost from the Muslim support in the coming elections. In a very confidential move, Akhilesh Ministry is preparing a blue-print to give reservations for Muslims in the state, following the model of  West Bengal Reservation Policy which implemented 10%  Muslim reservation under the quota of Backward classes.

Raja Rajan | Srinagar | 24 April 2013:: The big Fraud Man and Notorious promoters of Bengali Islamist Groups and News Papers, Sudipta Sen, the Chairman of Saradha group, the chitfund company which has allegedly defrauded thousands of depositors, has been detained from Sonmarg in Jammu and Kashmir along with two other company officials on Tuesday, a senior police official said.

“We have detained Sudipto Sen and Debjani Mukherjee, chairman-cum-managing director and a director of the Saradha group respectively, and Arvind from Sonamarg,” IGP (Jammu and Kashmir) Abdul Gani Mir said.

The three had admitted that they were the same persons wanted by the West Bengal Police, he said.

A police team from West Bengal was on its way to Kashmir to confirm the identity of the three, the IGP said.

The three detained persons had been lodged in Ganderbal Police Lines, SP (Ganderbal) Shahid Mehraj said.

In Kolkata, Bidhannagar Police Commissioner Rajeev Kumar said “three persons have been detained in Sonamarg in Jammu and Kashmir. The police there have identified them as Sudipto Sen, Debjani Mukherjee and Arvind Singh Chauhan.”

A Scorpio vehicle with a West Bengal number plate (WB-22-U-6742) had also been seized, Mr Kumar said as flashed also in the media channels.

With so many scams and debauchery in his personal life, Sudipta maintained a very fake religious life by mixing with some fake monks of Rama Krishna order and a Mutth based in Gujarat. Many a time he was seen in Mutths and temples to donate money to please the sects who like to renounce the Hindu identity from their religious practice. As per report Sudipta Sen believes in polygamy as in Islam and he has ’three wives and five houses’ and countless cars.

Side by side keeping up with the tendency of West Bengal State Govt for Muslim appeasement, Sen started a dangerous game to make an islamic shield around him.  He tactfully sponsored an Islamic Weekly named Kalom to make its daily edition. For this fatal cause to make a revival of pro Islamic fundamentalism in West Bengal, one Kunal Ghosh a journalist turned as a politician and elected later as  TMC MP of Rajya Sabha (Upper house of Indian Parliament), acted as an useful catalysis as believed. Mr Ghosh was included in Sardha Group of companies in a higher ranks in terms of Rs 16 lakh monthly package as heard.  Name of another actress cum TMC MP, Smt. Shatabdi Roy came to surface as a brand ambassador of this Cheating Group named “SARADHA GROUP“.

Both of Sudipta Sen and Kunal Ghosh are the good example of Human Chameleon who changed their Red colour of leftist environment, into a bushy green in the changed weather of   TMC cyclone blowing  in West Bengal  in recent years.

Coming into power in the West Bengal Assembly, the ruling TMC Govt introduced eight papers – 5 Bengali, 2 Urdu and 1 Hindi paper for Govt libraries. Facing a retaliation from different quarters, the WB Govt introduced an addition of 5 papers includes an English daily (TOI) and a Muslim community Bengali weekly named ‘Saptahik Kalom’. Getting  a sense of promotion of Islamic movements in West Bengal, Saradha Group made a link with this anti-Hindu and pro-Muslim ‘Saptahik Kalom’ to enter into the minds of  Muslims accordingly. Saradha groups also came up then to promote another Urdu daily named Azad Hind.

With a high expectation Mamtaz Banu Arzee, the Islamist CM in West Bengal, inaugurated the Daily Edition of Kalom (the Jihadi  Bengali daily News paper)  to revamp a Pan Islamic propaganda in the month of April 2012 in a Kolkata auditorium. (Most probably 6th April 2012 in Kolkata Town Hall). Then the paper used its DL No. 199 dated 23.09.2011.

Assuming the growing crisis in the Saradha group as brewing since January last, the group was  forced  to wind up at least 10 media organisations – newspapers and television channels – that it had launched or acquired since 2010. Over 1,000 journalists and non-journalists have been rendered jobless. In that phase Daily  ’Kalom’ got an indication from Saradha with some special blessings to strengthen its own machinery and  all on a sudden the magazine re-settled its registration No. RNI No. 34351/1981.

Any one from the Bengali knowing reader can taste the dangerous Islamic journalism to judge the truth from any single edition of it.

Not only that the caught culprit Sudipta Sen of Saradha Group maintained close relations with some other Chit Fund like KWIL (Sajahan Molla), MSD Group (Siraj Khan), VIVA (Ali Hossian) and so many Groups of Chit Fund to siphon its huge black money as believed.  Common agents of Saradha Group and the other groups like KWIL, MSD or VIVA is a very common in the fraud market of cheating funds.

But  for appeasing the Muslim perpetrators and its name-sake Hindu counterparts in the Chit fund sectors, who actually run the various ‘Utsavs’, ‘Gala Ceremonies’  for Mamtaz Banu, along-with  facilitating lavish life of some MPs, MLAs and Political Goons of TMC, the West Bengal Govt. ignored RBI alert in Dec 2012 very culpably. Money of Saradha was definitely used by Trinmool Congress for their political gain in countless occasions.

Bengal Govt. is still giving the chances to prop up KWIL (Sajahan Molla), MSD Group (Siraj Khan), VIVA ( Ali Hossian) and so many Groups of Cheating Fund. Apart from that some Muslim outfits are running Islamic Banking in Rural areas of Muslim majority districts of Murshidabad, Malda and Uttar Dinajpur and MSDP Dists like South 24 Pgs, Birbhum, Nadia, North 24 Pgs, Purba Medinipur etc. Though Hindu Clients are the main target of these Cheat Funds run by Muslim Managements to loot the Hindu Money, Muslims are also being cheated by these groups and illegal Islamic Banking system under a fundamental sensitization. Govt has no control over these type of illegal cheat fund system. They are destroying the Govt agencies for small savings and Post Office savings system. One Saradha Chit Fund ruined lakhs of common people and their agents. But when the story will rock the fraud of Rs 10000 Crores by these three groups viz KWIL (Sajahan Molla), MSD Group (Siraj Khan), VIVA (Ali Hossian) , what will do the Govt. ? What about Alchemist and Rose ValleyGroup? Don’t forget that one Jane Alam Molla Group cheated Rs. 300 crores of public fund in the Left Front Regime. He did not get any severe punishment. Public didn’t get back their money.

Warnings Ignored

Dec 6, 2012: RBI Governor Subbarao warns state governments against chit funds. The responsibility of checking and prosecuting them is with the state government, RBI does not regulate chit fund firms, he says.

According to RBI, there could be at least 80 such entities in the state, which are collecting deposits from the public. Saradha is in the news due to the scale of its operations and the resulting impact when it failed to repay its depositors following a run on it.

As per a report, Securities and Exchange Board of India or SEBI today barred Saradha Realty from the securities market, ordering it to wind up all its existing investment schemes and refund the investors within three months.

Now a Public Interest Litigation has been filed in the Calcutta High Court for a CBI inquiry against the Saradha Group. The petition urges the court to appoint a receiver to seize properties of chit fund companies to auction them and pay back depositors.

*Mala Banerjee, president, Federation of Consumer Associations of West Bengal, said there were “countless” small and unregistered shady firms in the state.

“We got an unconfirmed report that only in South 24 Parganas there are more than 50 fraudulent companies, which are small and unregistered. Other districts where such companies are operating include North 24 Parganas, Malda and Birbhum,” Banerjee said.*

The strike was in protest against continued attacks on temples and leaders of Hindu organisations by various outfits masquerading as political parties.

What stood out this time was the decision of various Hindu Mutt heads to join the agitation. This is the first time Hindu monks came out openly supporting a hartal. Shops remained closed and public transport came to a grinding halt in all the districts. Pollachi, the agricultural town in Coimbatore saw pelting of stones at buses.

“Since November 2012, we have been seeing attacks on leaders of various Hindu outfits by workers and hired gangs of the Popular Front of India (PFI) and Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI), both representing hardline Islamic views,” said RSS spokesman J Sri Ram. He said the last fortnight saw many Hindu households coming under attack by the members and activists of these parties.

Last week saw the house of Arjun Sampath, leader of Hindu Makkal Katchi coming under attack. A petrol bomb was thrown at the residence of Sampath who had a providential escape. “I questioned the action of a SDPI councillor who damaged the portion of a 1000-year-old temple in Coimbatore. The SDPI ward member asked that the temple festival should not be held without the concurrence of the Coimbatore corporation authorities,” said Sampath.

Former Coimbatore MP and BJP leader CP Radhakrishnan said Hindus are selectively assaulted by the Islamic outfits. “A marriage hall where a wedding reception was in progress was attacked by SDPI workers. The police looked the other way when a complaint was filed,” said Radhakrishnan. He disclosed that Coimbatore district alone saw 23 love jehads during the last two years.

“Incidents of teenaged Hindu girls eloping with their boyfriends and get converted to Islam are on the rise in these districts. Though we are trying to counsel the young girls, they are yet to understand the  nuances involved in these inter-faith marriages,” said Swamy Kumara Guruparar of Koumara Mutt. Swamy, an apolitical person, blamed a section of the minorities for the attacks on Hindu leaders and households. “They have unleashed a reign of terror in Tamil Nadu,” he added.

REPORTS OF ATTACKS UPON HINDUS BY ISLAMISTS IN TAMILNADU

The house of H Raja too came under the attack by some militant organisations. “Muslim Manithaneya Katchi, a political outfit floated by Islamic militants, is an ally of the AIADMK Government. Its leader Jawaharullah is a member of Tamil Nadu Assembly and wield enormous power in southern districts,” said Sampath.

He said the Islamic outfits have been encouraged by the Government’s move to ask the director of the movie Tuppakki to delete certain scenes. “Even the Viswaroopam row ended up with these organisations having the last laugh. The Government itself is helpless in handling these organisations,” he said.

Swamy Marudachala Adikalar of Perur Elayapattam, said the Islamic militancy in the region dates back to the early 70s. “We maintained silence all these years. The time has come to speak out openly since more and more activists and leaders of Hindu organisations are coming under attack,” said the Swamy.

Both Radhakrishnan and Sampath pointed out those colonies with Islamic names are mushrooming all over the textile city. “Billal Nagar and Ahmed Nagar sprang up overnight. The earlier name of these entities was Kruparajan Koil Street. One need not elaborate how they sprang up,” said Sampath.

According to Radhakrishnan, there is lack of coordination between police and intelligence department. “There is no understanding  and cohesion  between them. Isn’t it surprising to note that nobody has been arrested till date for these attacks?” asked Radhakrishnan.

MUMBAI |  Source- TNN | Apr 15, 2013  :: Shri Raju Mistrilal Soni, a 28-year-old partyworker of Shiv Sena (A Hindu Right Wing Political Party mainly based in  Maharashtra) was hacked to death by five Muslim persons near his residence in Sangamnagar in Antop hill area after chopping his atleast13 times with sharpened weapons during the early hours of Monday.

The Islamic Pidog (Pig+Dog) like Zakir Naik and all the hate preachers of Islam including all Mohammedan Maroons still bark that Islam is a Religion of Peace. But, really it is a Religion of Piece or the Religion of Piss.

Police stated that local Muslim goons killed Raju Mistrilal Soni as he did not pay heed to the extortion threats issued by them. Investigations revealed that the accused demanded money on day-to-day basis.

The incident occurred at around 4am on Monday when Raju stepped out of his house to fill water. Around five persons attacked him, police told. Police stated that Raju had opened another video-parlour a month ago. “The five accused were threatening Raju for money to run the video parlour.

“We are looking for the accused,” said Suresh Bhavar, senior police inspector of Wadala truck terminal police station. The names of the accused are Niyaz Hussain, Firoj Idrisi, Naseem Khan, Ibbu and Hafizul Bangali. Deceased Raju has been survived by his wife Rita (25), kids Sneha (6), and Golu (4). The accused were booked under sections 143 (punishment), 144 (joining unlawful assembly armed with deadly weapon), 146 (rioting), 148 (rioting, armed with deadly weapon), 149 (every member of unlawful assembly is guilty of offence committed in prosecution of common object), 302 (punishment for murder) and 386 (extortion by putting a person in fear of death or grievous hurt) of the Indian Penal Code.

“Raju was a social worker. The goons demanded money from his to which he refused,” said Pramod Soni, brother of deceased. While local Sena men alleged that Raju was killed as he was against illegal slums coming up in the area, police refuted this theory.

१२ वार केले. रक्ताच्या थारोळ्यात पडलेल्या राजू यांचा अखेर मृत्यू झाल्याचे सहाय्यक पोलीस आयुक्त रुपवते यांनी सांगितले.
राजू सोनी यांची हत्या झाल्याचे कळताच विभागप्रमुख शशिकांत सावंत, उपविभागप्रमुख गोपाळ शेलार, दत्ता शिंदे, नगरसेविका श्रद्धा जाधव, शाखाप्रमुख एकनाथ पवार यांनी पोलीस ठाण्यात जाऊन आरोपींना लवकरात लवकर पकडून कठोर शिक्षा देण्याची मागणी केली.
गर्दुल्यांनी यापूर्वी केली होती हत्या
राजूची हत्या करणारे आरोपी गर्दुल्ले आहेत. यापूर्वी देखील नशेत असताना २००८ साली गबरू, इब्बु आणि नसीम यांनी एकाची हत्या केली होती. त्यावेळेस गबरू हा अल्पवयीन होता. त्यानंतर २०११ साली इब्बू आणि गुड्डू या दोघांनी घरात बसून दारू पिण्यास नकार देतो म्हणून एकाला गंभीर दुखापत केली होती अशी माहिती वरिष्ठ पोलीस निरीक्षक सुरेश भवर यांनी दिली.

Vivek Gumaste | Rediff News |  April 12, 2013 :: The Indian government needs to do more. India’s responsibility towards the Hindus of Pakistan is not a matter of gratis; it is a political and legal obligation, says Vivek Gumaste.

“You are free; you are free to go to your temples, you are free to go to your mosques or to any other place or worship in this State of Pakistan. You may belong to any religion or caste or creed that has nothing to do with the business of the State. We are starting with this fundamental principle that we are all citizens and equal citizens of one State.”

Thus spoke Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the first governor general of Pakistan in his presidential address to the constituent assembly of Pakistan on August 11, 1947. Viewed in isolation, this sanctimonious assertion stands out as a classic exposition of non-partisan secularism.

But when interpreted in the context of the historical genesis and evolution of Pakistan, one cannot but aver that these were shallow inanities; mouthings to assuage the guilty conscience of a man who had succumbed to political avarice to vivisect a nation; or even an act of political knavery designed to confer respectability to a nation conceived in inveterate animus.

Sixty-six years later the nihilism of Jinnah’s statement is supremely evident in the plight of the Hindus. They are not free to go to their temples as they have been willfully destroyed. They are not equal citizens of one state but victims of a religious apartheid. They live in a state of perpetual dread with their daughters, property and religious places being constantly targeted.

On March 30 in Jacobabad, a district capital, Ganga, the daughter of Ashok Kumar was forcibly abducted, converted to Islam and betrothed to a Muslim man much against her wishes and those of her parents. This is not the first time that such a barbaric incident has occurred in Pakistan and will certainly not be the last.

This is a part of a larger calculated strategy of persecution of the Hindus by religious zealots; a campaign that has the tacit support of the authorities and the passive acquiescence of its general population.

According to a report prepared by the Asian Centre for Human Rights: “… kidnapping and then raping and forcibly marrying Hindu girls is a common practice in Pakistan. In the event where the police arrest the accused, they produce a certificate issued by any Muslim seminary that the kidnapped girls have voluntarily adopted Islam and they married the girls.

The courts generally do not consider the fact that the most of the girls are minor and simply accept the certificate of conversion without any investigation. It has been reported that more than 15 families are forcibly converted from Hinduism to Islam in Sindh province every year.”

The oppression continues unabated

The United States Commission on International Religious Freedom in its 2011 Annual Report suggests that this practice is much more prevalent indicating that approximately 20 to 25 young Hindu women are abducted and forcibly converted every month; the victims’ families often fail to file a police report fearing violent retaliation.

Next in line in this vicious witch hunt are Hindu temples that are routinely destroyed, neglected, usurped or turned into commercial properties: Below are excerpts from a Hindu American Foundation of the USA report:   

  • In Dera Ismail Khan (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province), a Muslim group illegally acquired the 700-year-old Kali Bari Mandir and converted it into a hotel.
  • The Raam Kunday Mandir in Islamabad is being converted into a picnic area.   
  • Eminabad in Gujranwala region has several temples dating back to the 15th century.Most of them are now being used as stables to provide shelter to donkeys, horses, and other animals.    
  • A famous Hanuman temple in Chakwal (Punjab province) is being used by the workers of salt mines
    as their office.  
  • Akali temple in Peshawar (Khyber Pakthunkwa) has been taken over by local traders, who are converting
    it into a building.   
  • Jogi Tala Jhelum (Punjab), a sacred site for Hindus as well as Sikhs, is also in horrible condition.

This oppression continues unabated as the Hindu community so far has had no champions: a fallout from the Hindu theology of self-negation that inculcates an intrinsic inhibition to stand up for one’s own rights.

Fortunately this is changing. However, the most strident opposition to the persecution of Hindus does not come from the one billion Hindus of India, its government or its free press. In fact at the forefront of this battle is a fledgling organisation, the HAF.

The HAF is the brainchild of Hindu-Americans and has been in existence since 2003. In this short tenure, it has done yeoman service to the Hindu cause consistently highlighting the plight of Hindu minorities all over the world but particularly Pakistan.

Kudos to the organisation.

On April 8, 1950, Pakistan’s PM Liaquat Ali Khan and India’s PM Jawaharlal Nehru signed a bilateral pact that ensured equal rights for minorities in their respective countries. India has kept its side of the bargain.

Muslims have flourished in India notwithstanding the unsubstantiated gripe that we constantly hear: the Muslim population has increased from 10 per cent in 1947 to at least 13.4 per cent (2001 census. Figures from 2011 census not available yet); Muslims are found in every walk of life: the Shah Rukh Khans dominate the entertainment industry and we have had three Muslim Presidents.

The Indian government needs to do more. India’s responsibility towards the Hindus of Pakistan is not a matter of gratis; it is a political and legal obligation that stems from the Nehru-Liaquat Ali Khan treaty. More importantly India owes a moral duty to those Hindus, Sikhs and Christians whom we abandoned to the vagaries of a theocratic state in 1947. [Courtesy: Rediff News].

Lahore | Source - PTI |   10 Apr  2013 :: Pakistani authorities have dropped a plan to revive the ‘Basant’ festival and kite-flying in the central province of Punjab in the wake of a warning issued by Jamaat-ud-Dawah, which has described the event as ‘un-Islamic’.

The interim government of Punjab headed by caretaker Chief Minister Najam Sethi surrendered to detractors of the festival and dropped the proposal to revive Basant.

Sethi, a journalist by profession, had recently spoken about his desire to revive Basant, which he had described as an intrinsic part of Lahori culture.

During a high-level meeting held in Lahore on Monday, officials were warned by police about the possible negative fallout from the revival of Basant, which marks the onset of spring.

Police officials warned the government of possible protests and a fallout of a warning issued by the JuD, a source said. After the meeting, senior officials recommended Sethi to drop any plans to mark the festival, to which the CM acted.

After taking over as chief minister, Sethi had directed government departments, including the City District Government of Lahore, to devise a viable plan for Basant.

Senior government and CDGL officials initiated an extensive exercise and held discussions with stakeholders about reviving Basant.

The City District Government framed an action plan and recommended that festivities, including kite flying, could be held at Safari Park on Raiwind Road and Jallo Park along Canal Road on April 14 and 15.

The City District Government had discussed measures to revive Basant in December too. Even at that time, police officials said they could not guarantee that there would not be casualties during the event.

Criticising the decision to drop the plan to revive Basant, Lahore Conservation Society secretary Ajaz Anwar said the government should have revived the event for the sake of the people as there was no harm in celebrating the festival in its original form. [Courtesy: PTI]

Barack Obama asked to protect Hindus in Bangladesh. Hindus Rally in front of White House to stop persecution upon minorities. 

Hindu Rally in front of White HouseMitra Chandra | Washington | 11 April 2013 :: Today on The Bangladesh Hindu – Buddhist – Christian Unity Council’s USA Chapter has given a memorandum to stop the Persecution upon Bangladesh Minorities to the White House authorities at the end of an street agitation here to  draw the kind attention of Barrack Hussein Obama, the President of USA on Thrusday  in Washington DC.

In this protest rally, the members of Sarbojanin Puja Udjapon Samity, Shri Krishna Bhaktasangha, United Hindu Parishad, Sanatan Sangha,  Harinama Sankirtanasagha, some other Organisations and Hindu activists gathered to join the agitation coming from different corners of USA, viz.  New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut,  Massachusetts, Delaware  Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina  and Georgia.

Protesting against the rise in violence against minorities in Bangladesh, Hindus of Bangladeshi-origin have gathered outside the White House here, asking US President Barack Obama to protect them and enlist radical Jamat-e-Islami as a foreign terrorist group. After the pronouncement of War Criminal Sayedee’s hanging order as  a post Shabagh effect, Hindus-Buddhists in Bangladesh have been thrown into  a new fire place of Islamic torture.

Raising slogans like “We do not want Talibanisation of Bangladesh” and “Save Hindus”, Bangladeshi American Hindus in a memorandum asked Obama to save the religious minorities of Bangladesh and enlist “Jamat-e-Islami, Bangladesh” as a foreign terrorist organisation.

“We are urging everyone to be united in outrage and by humanity and do all you can to save the endangered minorities of Bangladesh,” the memorandum said as the protestors demanded enactment of hate crime laws by the Bangladeshi Government.

They also demanded establishment of a monitoring cell with prosecutorial authority to monitor, prevent, and prosecute all communal incidents; and creation of a minority welfare ministry with authority to create a special police force drawn from the minority populace. The peaceful protest rally was organized by the supported Bangladesh Hindu Buddhist Christian Unity Council, with support from various other organizations like Hindu American Foundation and the Indian American Intellectual Forum.

“Bangladesh Hindu Buddhist Christian Unity Council, USA is calling upon the civilized world to come to the protection of these innocent and peaceful people who have committed no other wrongs than belonging to faiths other than what the terrorists would choose for them.They can count on no one and go nowhere,” the statement said.

In the memorandum handed over to the President of US, it is mentioned that in the history of 42 years old Bangladesh, thousands of temples were vandalized,  wealth of minorities were looted, women and children were  raped, but not any thing could be  trialed before Court of Law to give them Justice. It is also told that over 1 crore minority people of Bangladesh, maximum of them are Hindus, were compelled to leave their Motherland in an unbearable situations have been being created by the Islamist perpetrators of any colour any party.

The organizers of the rally also demanded introduction of  Hate Crime Law in Bangladesh along with establishment of  Minority Watch, Welfare and Protection Cell and Judiciary Investigation Committee for giving punishment to the persecutors upon minorities in Bangladesh.  The memorandum has also demanded a special session and hearing in the US Congress to verify the injustice and persecution upon Bangladeshi Hindus, Buddhists and other minorities.

Plight of Pak Hindus: How they are struggling for Indian citizenship

 Danish Raza  | Apr 9, 2013 | First Post :: Fifteen year old Radha crossed the India-Pakistan border on the Thar Express in March, hoping for a new life. Since then, she’s lost a child — her third — because of poor medical care and nutrition. She has no home, no income and, starting Monday morning, no country.

Part of a group of 480 Hindu refugees from Pakistan’s troubled Sindh province, Radha arrived on a tourist visa obtained by saying she wished to attend the Maha Kumbh. She’s now staying in a ramshackle building in Bijwasan, on the fringes of Delhi.

Nahar Singh, superintendent of Central Excise and Customs at Delhi airport, and two years short of retirement, has emerged as something of a god for hundreds of Sindhi refugees who’ve been crossing the border in recent years. In November, 2011, Singh says, he first came across a group of 145 Sindhi refugees who were then living in a makeshift camp in North Delhi. He had his two-storey building, then rented out for Rs 70,000 a month, vacated to make room for them.

Singh says he has approached the Foreign Regional Registration Office, the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Delhi High Court to get the refugees Indian nationality — but all in vain.

After staying put in Singh’s property for around six months, adults slowly joined the sea of immigrants to flock to New Delhi every day. However, they also passed on Singh’s contacts to fellow Hindus in Pakistan who were desperate to relocate. The group of 480 who arrived on the Thar Express in March made their way to New Delhi, and made their home in his building. More, Singh says, are certain to follow, because attacks on religious minorities are continuing unabated.

Until the the time the refugees settle in, Singh says, he’ll take care of their meals — and, if need be, expenses. Hindu groups have pitched in, but resources are clearly scarce.

For the families in Singh’s shelter, there is no going back to Pakistan. “I will prefer dying here in Hindustan than living in Pakistan,” says 38 year old Seeta Ram, who is here with 17 members of his extended family. “For us, there is no dignified life in Pakistan. We live at the mercy of Muslims. We cannot openly celebrate our festivals. We cannot cheer for the Indian cricket team”. In case of a clash between two communities, Ram says, he doesn’t expect fair trail. “Their police, their courts,” he says.

Ram’s daughter Karma Bai says her husband has been cursing her ever since they arrived in India. “While he is here with me, his own family is in Pakistan. Please see if you can do anything to get them here,” says the woman, pointing to kids in a family album.

Sindh’s Hindus are largely landless Dalit labourers, hard hit by both religious persecution as well as their low social status and economic deprivation.

For the generation before Seeta Ram, things were not this bad in Pakistan. “When were young, there were no such issues like forcible conversion of Hindu girls to Islam or rape or assaults on Hindu families. If life was not good, it was not bad either. But it all changed after the demolition of the Babri Masjid in India. To take revenge, Muslims in Pakistan demolished temples. We were traumatised,” says the grandmother in one of these families.

In recent years, there have been a string of attacks on Hindus — most famously, the alleged forcible conversion and kidnapping of Rinkle Kumari, which sparked global outrage.

Many among the refugees use angry language, attacking what they see as a Hindu country for denying them citizenship. “I am a Hindu”, says 35-year-old Vasant Das. This is Hindustan. How can I be living here illegally? The government of the biggest democracy in the world cannot take care of 480 people? And anyways, we never asked for partition. Muslims demanded it. So, ideally, Indian Muslims should shift to Pakistan”.

For the government, though, the issues are more complex. Refugees from persecution in India’s near-neighbourhood — like Sikhs from Afghanistan, Tamils from Sri Lanka, or even some Ahmadis from Pakistan — don’t have a right to citizenship, because India fears a tidal wave of claimants. Even though India has often been lauded for its treatment of refugees, it doesn’t have a law that allows them to claim entitlements and documentation.

Delhi authorities have told FirstPost they will ensure the refugees receive visa extensions — but can’t hold out the hope of documents guaranteeing them long term stay. “There are thousands of cases like these”, a senior Home Ministry official says. “Frankly, we know they’ll buy identity documents, and begin a life as Indians. But the law is the law, and its for politicians to change, not us”.

Nahar Singh believes they will meet the fate of the previous 146 immigrants. “Government of India neither gave them nationality, nor did it ask them to leave for Pakistan. They are citizens of nowhere,” he says. [Courtesy: First Post]

Pakistani Hindus prefer to die than going back to Pak

Pak Hindus too scared to return

New Delhi | 10th April 2013:: The Pakistani Hindu refugees, who managed to flee the country and reach India, are opposed to returning to Pakistan, saying they would prefer to die than go back.

“We don’t know what will happen to us. But we know that if we are deported, it will be our bodies, not us. We will die but not return to Pakistan,” Dharamveer, a farmer from Pakistan said.

Facing deportation from India as their visas expired, these refugees are too scared to return to Pakistan following rising extremism there.

On March 9, Dharamveer along with other refugees crossed over to India through Jodhpur in Rajasthan on the pretext of visiting the Maha Kumbh in Allahabad. The group reached Delhi on March 10 and took refuge in a 28-room building owned by Nahar Singh in Brijwasan area in south Delhi.

“Hindus are not safe there (in Pakistan). Daughters are abducted and forced to convert. We can’t cremate our dead as Pakistanis ask us to bury the corpses,” said Dharmveer, who fled Hyderabad in Pakistan’s Sindh province with his wife and four children. “We want Indian citizenship so that at least we can die here peacefully,” he said.

Currently, there are more than 450 Pakistani citizens living in the building whose visas expired just on Monday. The group comprises 83 women, 86 men and 311 children, of whom one died a few days ago.

Nahar Singh, an ex-soldier, who is looking after the refugees, said, “I have written to the President’s office, MEA and UN, but no one has responded yet.”
