Greetings of Sri Ram Navmi to all.
Ramraksha stotra: Not just a divine chant.
Barkha Mathur | Nagpur | TNN | Apr 19, 2013:: The nine days of ChaitraNavratri, from GudiPadwa till Ram Navami, are filled with chants of Ramrakshastotra. The same can be heard at temples, homes and in groups, as people come together for collective recitals.
Considered to be one of the most sacred chants, it has tremendous powers to protect a devout from evil, says Prafulla Nandangiri, secretary of Bhonsla Ved Shala in Mahal. “There are a total of 38 shlokas, of which some like the 35th one is ‘siddha’. Reciting it can provide mental strength to a person, by making him feel fearless,” he says. This is a siddha stotra for complete protection of body and when read 1,300 times, it can destroy all dangers that a person may be facing, says Nandangiri.
“Ramraksha is also considered to be good for a newborn child and the new mother, and is read out while tying the black thread around the neck of an infant,” he says, adding that there are different rhythms for reciting it.
“The stotra focuses on all parts of the body and invokes Lord Ram to protect them. So, it is recited for children and also for those afflicted with some disease,” explains Kapil Chandrayan, a student of astrology. For best results, it should be read in Sanskrit for the vibrations that emanate through chanting of these sacred mantras, suggests Chandrayan.
Recitals of Ramraksha stotra are considered good during Chaitra Navratri as at this time god is present with all his powers in the sanctum sanctorum of temples, says Prasad Joshi, who is studying scriptures. “I recite the Ramraksha stotra as it helps me to master incantation of different chants. It has been written with anushtup chan as its poetic meter, which is a four-part mantra with 32 letters in one stanza. During these nine days, reading and reciting these sacred mantras is very effective.” <Read details here.>

Hindu Jagran Manch urged mass mourning in Holi as a mark of protest over atrocities upon Hindus in West Bengal and Bangladesh.
Posted by hinduexistence on March 26, 2013
How can we celebrate a colourful Holi right now? Observe Mass Mourning.
Hindu Existence Bureau, Kolkata | 26 March 2013:: Hindu Jagran Manch, West Bengal urged Bengali Hindus for observing a day-long mourning in Holi festivity as a mark of protest for increasing atrocities upon Hindus in West Bengal in Naliakhali Viloence and Bangladesh after Shahabag Protest demanding the execution of Bangladesh War Criminal in Bangladesh Liberation in 1971.
While Hindus Naliakhali in Canning Subdivision in West Bengal saw a repetition of Noakhali (1946), where villagers of four villages (Goladahora-Maniktala, Gopalpur, Herobhanga-Satmukhi and Naliakhali) were uprooted for some days and more than 200 Hindu house-holds were arsoned by the outsiders after a killing of a Muslim Cleric by some unknown person on 19 Feb 2013. The severity of torture upon Hindus crossed the limit and it was a harrowing reminiscence of Noakhali Genocide of 1946. God saved the casualties anyway this time. But, Hindus in West Bengal are regularly being attacked in a same pattern as the Hindus of Deganga (North 24 District) were also attacked and tortured in 2010 by the Muslim hooligans led by a Criminal TMC leader Hazi Nurul Islam, MP of Bashirhat.
The sate ruling parties and the TMC led Govt in West Bengal has not paid any special attention to the Hindu victims and humiliated them by giving them some Rs. 10,000/=, like this while the family of the murdered Imam, Ruhul Kuddus got mor than Rs. 2,00,000/= without any delay. Hindu victims of Naliakhali violence are still in grief and hazards. Many of them are still homeless and helpless. There is no meaning Colour of Holi in Naliakhali at all.
The plight of minority Hindus inn Bangladesh has no limit for ever. After the Shahabag movement, the International Tribunal for War Criminal pronounced the execution of Delwar Hossai Sayedee. After that the Islamic fundamentals of Jamaat-e-Islami in Bangladesh has plundered the Hindu areas of Bangladesh only to drive away them from Bangladesh out of a dangerous plan to make Bangladesh as Kaffir Free and Hindu-less.
A reputed Bengali newspaper in Bangladesh, ‘Prothom Alo‘ has published the horrible account of the torture upon the minority Hindus in the pot Shahbag period. The accounts include the attack upon 319 Hindu temples, Hindu house-holds and shops in last 24 days. Hindus are affected in 32 districts in Bangladesh.
But, this reflection of the plight of BD Hindus in newspaper is more than true though partial. Actually, thousand small, medium and big temples, house-holds, shops, properties, valuables of Hindus in Bangladesh have been desecrated, torched, looted and vandalized including the pleasurable and pious Islamic game of destroying Hindu Gods and Goddesses in temples and Hindu homes.
The Hindus in Bangladesh have also no meaning of Holi Celebration as an obvious point of their frightened and persecuted atmosphere.
On the other hand the repression upon the Hindu Organizational members and Hindu leaders by TMC (Total Muslim Congress) Supremo, Mamtaz Banu Arjee in these days are all time high.
All these odd happenings in Bengal and Bangladesh include blood-shed of Hindu brothers, rape of Hindu Women and unchecked tears of Hindu Mothers. The apathy or the anti-pathy in this situation is very shocking. These victims of Jihad have no colour of Holy in their grief stricken phase of life.
In this context, the Hindu Jagaran Manch and Hindu Existence Forum jointly gave a call to observe mourning and reject all colours of Holi in protest to Islamic Violence in Noliakhali, Canning, West Bengal; Post Shahabag attack on minority Hindus in 32 districts in Bangladesh and unlawful detention of Hindu activists in West Bengal Jails by autocrat-&-pro-Islamic maroon Mamataz Banu Arjee.
Let the children play Holi, they know nothing. But what should we do?
YES, WE CAN NOT CELEBRATE HOLI THIS TIME, IGNORING THE BLOODSHED OF OUR BROTHERS, MODESTY OF OUR SISTERS AND TEARS OF OUR MOTHERS. WE MAY CAN OBSERVE ARANDHAN (NO COOKING), HUNGER STRIKE, PROTEST RALLY, STREET CORNERS, LEAFLETING, POSTERING ETC., TO EXPRESS OUR SOLIDARITY WITH THE GLOBAL HINDU BENGALIS EVERYWHERE ALONG WITH STRUGGLING PEOPLE AT SHAHBAG.
SAY NO COLOUR OR ENJOYMENT IN THIS HOLI. OBSERVE A MASS MOURNING AS IT IS EXPECTED IN 1000 PLACES IN BENGAL, TO CONVEY THAT WE REMAIN COLOUR-LESS THIS YEAR WITH OUR FRIENDS IN CRISIS AT NALIAKHALI OR NOAKHALI.
Hindu Jagran Manch has made a huge postering and leafleting to refrain Bengali Hindus from celebrating Holi for a chief enjoyments.
The facebook community ‘Shahbager pase aamrao‘ and Some social media groups are unitedly conducting the signature campaign in support of Shahbag movement with protesting the gross violence upon minorities in Bangladesh in post Shahbag period.
Some organisations like Hindu Jagran Manch, RSS, facebook community ‘Shahbager pase aamrao‘ and others have planned to lead a candle march for peace, equality, fraternity in Bangladesh on the very liberation day of Bangladesh on 26th March from the clutch of fundamental rulers of Pakistan. The Candle march is scheduled to start at 4 pm from Academy of Fine arts and will end at the statue of Gandhi at Red Road, Kolkata.

SHANKARACHARYA ARRESTED by BJP Govt of Madhya Pradesh!
Large Police Force Deployment to Suppress Hindus from their Puja Rights.
50000 Hindus performed Puja at Bhojshala; 016 Muslims offered Namaj. But Puja was stopped at the time of Namaj.
Where are the BJP_RSS_VJP_BAJRANGDAL supporters right now ??? Come here
MP Police capture Shankaracharya Narendrananda Saraswati, taken away from Bhojshala :
As per the latest updates from Mr. Vinay Panavalkar of HJS Co-Ordinator, Madhya Pradesh Police as instigated by the Ruling BJP Govt, stopped vehicle of Shankaracharya Narendrananda Saraswati and his companions going towards Mata Saraswati Mandir, Bhojshala. Police forced Shankaracharya and others to come down from vehicle and seized their mobile phones, some 20 kms far from Bhojshala complex. Immediately Shankaracharya sat on Road for Dharna. But Police forced him to get into that vehicle and that was taken over by Police and they have taken away Shankaracharya and others from Dhar. Revered Shankaracharya and his disciples are taken to unknown places. In the meanwhile thousand of Hindutva supporters came down to roads in Dhar and in some places in Madhya Pradesh.
Why BJP is following footsteps of Congress by trying to suppress voice and constitutional rights of Hindus ? Does it not look like ‘Moghalai’ (Mughal-like regime) of BJP ? If today BJP is preventing Hindu Saints and devotees from entering Hindu temples, tomorrow it may destroy Hindu temples like Mughal invaders ! RSS-VHP_Bajrangis are vacate onlookers!
Inspector General of Police, Indore, Smt Anuradha Shankar said police arranged safe Namaj for 116 Muslim Namajis and stopped Hindu Puja for the time being when Namaj was conducting. In such a way Hindus will be compelled to stop their Dharmik performance time and again to satiate the Muslims in Bharat only to promote Arabic Expansion in our Social, Cultural & National Life. Awake Hindus Awake!

Bhojshala : Police arrest and brutally beat up Shri. Navalkishore Sharma of Bhojshala Mukti Yagna Samiti
February 11, 2013 | Hindu Existence Forum | Bhopal | Madhya Pradesh:: It is a bare Face Off of BJP and VHP in the case of recovery of Bhojshala Bagdevi Mandir on ensuing Basanta Panchami. The brutality on devout Hindu Activist by the Police under the control of Madhaya Pradesh Govt, has been exposed now.
Intimidation by BJP Govt. and Police in MP
Madhya Pradesh police arrested Mr. Navalkishore Sharma, the National Convener of ‘Bhojshala Mukti-yadnya Samiti’ and his activists who have been fighting for Hindus’ right of performing ‘puja’ in ‘Bhojshala’ on the day of ‘Vasant-Panchami’, falling on Friday, 15th February this year. They have also been demanding that Muslims should not be allowed to read ‘namaz’ on that day in ‘Bhojshala’. His elder brother has already been arrested. Police not only arrested Navalkishore Sharma but they even beat him up brutally. (Editor of Dainik Sanatan Pravat commented “In Hindu Rashtra, stringent action will be taken against such cruel Police who are oppressing innocent Hindus!” ). Police have claimed that Mr. Navalkishore Sharma had a gun and a bullet. (Hindu activists have been holding agitations for the past so many days, in lawful manner. Will they carry guns ? Can it not be a ploy hatched by police on the instructions of BJP Govt. to arrest pro-Hindu activists under false charges? Hindus must realize that it is the conspiracy of BJP Govt. to crush their agitation ! – Editor SP).
Navalkishore Sharma injured in police beating has been admitted to hospital !
Navalkishore Sharma has been injured in police beating and has been admitted to a hospital. Hundreds of activists had gathered outside the hospital to meet Mr. Sharma; but police kept tight security and stopped them from meeting.
Instructions for District Coordinators of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti.
Hindus’ should get a right to perform ‘puja’ in ‘Bhojshala’ on the day of Vasant-Panchami; for this, protest against BJP Govt. in every district !
For the last few days, Hindus have been trying to gain right, in lawful manner, for performing ‘puja’ on ‘Vasant-Panchami’ in ‘Bhojshala’ instead of Muslims reading ‘namaz’; but BJP Government in Madhya Pradesh has paid no heed. As a result, Saints and pro-Hindu activists have now taken an aggressive stand of staging agitations. BJP Government has imposed curfew in Dhar District to crush this agitation. This stance of BJP Government should be condemned in every district of this country. Non-Hindus immediately unite when their religious sentiments are hurt and raise their voice. Now, even Hindus need to come together and register their protest immediately against injustice meted out to them.
Activists of Hindu Janjagruti Samiti (HJS) should, therefore, stage agitation in every district, along with pro-Hindu organizations that hold similar views like HJS, to register protest. As far as possible, such protests/agitations should be staged in front of BJP’s offices and the office-bearers of BJP should be taken to task on this issue. The banner, in Hindi, required for this agitation and handbill are made available on the usual web-address and on HJS Website here.

Bhojshala : Ayodhya of Madhya Pradesh !
‘Bhojshala’ is an ancient and the only temple of Mata Saraswati, built by Raja Bhoj in 1034 AD. (‘See Photo Evidences’) Bhojshala was home to thousands of students and scholars and it was main centre of education. Attacks on Bhojshala started from 1305 AD and Muslims built today’s Kamal Moulana dargah near Bhojshala. (‘Read Detailed Timeline of Facts’)
Bhojshala has become victim of Governments of Madhya Pradesh due to appeasement of Muslims for votes. Today Archeological Survey of India (ASI) allows everyone to go inside Bhojshala ‘as a tourist’ with fees. On tuesday, Hindus can enter in Bhojshala and they are allowed to take flowers and akshata. But since the new idol of Vagdevi is seized by Madhya Pradesh government and kept in Gwalior jail, Hindus can’t offer anything to Saraswati Mata. On friday, Muslims are allowed to offer Namaz in Bhojshala complex. Vasant (Basant) Panchami, also known as Mata Saraswati Jayanti is the only day in the year on which Hindus are allowed to perform full-fledge puja by taking idol or photo of Mata Saraswati inside Bhojshala. So Muslims can offer Namaz in Bhojshala 52 times in a year, but Hindus can perform puja only once in a year. It should be noted that Dhar, where Bhojshala is located, has 16 mosques to offer Namaz.
In year 2006, Vasant (Basant) Panchami was on friday, so the demand of the Hindus to perform puja in Bhojshala for the full day was refused and the police also used force against Hindu devotees and arrested many. Now this year 2013, again Vasant (Basant) Panchami happens to be on friday and Hindu Devotees are demanding to perform puja for the whole day and restrict Muslims to offer Namaz in Bhojshala on this day. Also the BJP Govt. should release Vagdevi (Mata Saraswati) idol from Gwalior Jail, which was installed by Hindus in Bhojshala.
O Hindus, take up this challenge and do your duty towards Dharma !
- on 15th February 2013, ‘Bhoj-shala’ should be made available to Hindus instead of Muslims for ‘namaz’, as it is the day of Vasant Panchami falling on Friday.
- The Government should release the idol of Shri Vagdevi made of ‘Ashta-dhatu (8 metals) from the Gwalior jail.
- From the evidences, it is amply clear that Bhojshala is nothing but a Hindu temple and hence it should be handed over to Hindus completely.
- The Government should restrict Muslims permanently to enter and offer Namaz in Bhojshala.
- Today it is observed that few fanatics and miscreants are damaging ancient idols of Deities and other signs of temple. This damage should stop immediately and Government should ensure that these idols and signs should not get harmed.
- Bring back the original idol of Shri Vagdevi from London Museum.

News From Prayag Maha Kumbh: Maha Kumbh begins, 1.1 crore pilgrims take dip today on Makar Sankranti (14-01-2013). View the First Sahi Snan. Har Har Gange.
Ganga Sagar Mela – 2013 (Toll free help line 18003453220).
Here thousands of people take Holy Dip during Makar Sankranti, usually falls on 14 or 15th January every year. Gangasagar pilgrimage and fair is the second largest congregation of mankind after the holy Kumbha Mela. The latter is observed once in four years at alternate locations in north, central and central-west parts of the country, Gangasagar fair and pilgrimage is held annually on the Sagar Island’s southern tip in the Ganges delta atop the Bay of Bengal.
The Kapil Muni Temple at Sagardwip is the fourth constructed temple in the island. The first was razed by a tornado and the next two were destroyed by the sea. It was in 1961, the chief minister of Bengal, BC Roy donated Rs.11,000 to construct the present temple which was completed in 1973.
Sagardwip (Sagar Island), 128kms away from Kolkata presents an ideal repose for a quiet weekend. A small island in the Sunderban delta, Sagardwip is bequeathed with a quiet charm amidst the completely unspoiled and silvery beach on the estuary of the mighty Ganga. It has a lighthouse that offers you a panoramic view of the surroundings. Quite a hot spot for Hindu pilgrimage.
One lakh take the holy dip at Gangasagar… Another four lakh pilgrims are likely to reach…..
Gangasagar | 12 th January 2013 | Hindu Existence Media :: In the run-up to the festival of Makar Sankranti, around one lakh devotees have taken the holy dip at Gangasagar, the confluence of the Ganga and the Bay of Bengal.
West Bengal Panchayat minister Subrata Mukherjee today said the government is trying to make the annual fair by increasing the safety and comfort level for the devotees.
He said they are also constructing permanent guest houses for visitors and also a permanent jetty at a cost of Rs 5 crore.
Though the shameful pilgrimage tax of Rs. 5/= has been waved out this year, the escalated conveyance fare is still hammering the capacity of the common rural pilgrims coming from far away from the farthest corner of Bharat out of their spiritual passion to dip into holy Ganges confluence with Bay of Bengal, even once for a life.
This escalation of Bus and ferry services in the Mela time could be managed by the Govt. of West Bengal this time, if a 3 Crore budget for the make shift wooden rest house for the ‘torn Sari-Hawai Chappal’ clad Chief Minister of West Bengal, Miss(?) Mamata Banerjee was possible to be averted from misutilizing the public exchequer.
The South 24 Parganas District authority is discharging their duties on war footing to welcome the expected 5 lakh pilgrims to the Ganga Sagar Makar Sankranti Mela this year. Over 200 NGOs are also rendering their stream of cooperation to make this Dharmik events a grand success.

Swami Vivekananda 150th birth anniversary celebration at Chicago.
By J.V. Lakshmana Rao | Chicago India Tribune :: Outside India, Chicago occupies an important place in the life and work of Swami Vivekananda, the great Hindu monk. It was here that he got international recognition for himself, for India’s Vedanta and Vedic spirituality and for Hinduism with his maiden powerful “Sisters and Brothers of America” speech at the World’s Parliament of Religions on that historic day – September 11, 1893.
Chicago immortalizes Swami Vivekananda with many landmark monuments like Swami Vivekananda Vedanta Society of Chicago and Sri Ramakrishna Universal Temple in Homer Glen, a larger-than-life size bronze statue of Swami Vivekananda and the Vivekananda Spiritual Center at the Hindu Temple of Greater Chicago in Lemont, a bronze plaque at the Art Institute of Chicago commemorating his historic address at the World’s Parliament of Religions. The City of Chicago has also immortalized Swami Vivekananda by naming a long stretch of prestigious downtown marketplace Michigan Avenue. The stretch in front of the Art Institute has been named as Swami Vivekananda Way. >>Read details here.
Swami Vivekananda and the making of modern India.
By Amiya Prosad Sen | Jan 12, 2013 | TOI :: In several ways, the life and work of Swami Vivekananda (1863-1902) mark the historical process of India rediscovering herself in modern times. These are also emblematic of the ways in which a tradition modernizes or creates alternative forms of modernity. Today, as the nation celebrates the 150th birth anniversary of the Swami, it is only apt that we critically reflect on his life and legacy.
Generally speaking, his contribution to India and to the larger world may be summed up in four ways. First, in modern India, it was Vivekananda who first emphasized that our everyday lives would become more meaningful only when spiritualized. It was in this spirituality that he re-discovered, as it were, India’s message to herself and to the world. For Vivekananda, this spiritual self-realization led to people more fully realizing their own potentialities. Especially in the context of a colonized society like that of 19th century India, this was tantamount to men and women locating greater self-belief in themselves.
The human soul being free, suggested Vivekananda, more than compensated for the loss of political freedom.
Second, even though the Swami rejected political praxis and West inspired social and religious reforms, his essential message was the empowerment of the people: through education, collective thought and action but above all, realizing he underlying unity of all human existence. In the Hindu tradition, ascetic detachment from the world had been criticized even before Vivekananda but it was he who first actively joined the idea of individual renunciation to committed social service. >>Read details here.

London | Tue, 18 Dec 2012 | By PTI :: The Kumbh Mela, one of the largest religious gatherings in the world, to be held at Sangam in Allahabad early next year has been described as the “greatest show on Earth” in a four-year study by British and Indian researchers.
Up to 100 million people will gather on the shores of the Ganges to celebrate the Hindu festival commencing on January 14, 2013. For four years the team of British and Indian researchers have been studying the event, seeking to understand how people treat each other, how they experience the crowd and what impact the crowd has on their everyday lives.
They will present their findings at a special event at Allahabad University on January 24, 2013. The study described the Kumbh Mela as an incredible event and the “greatest show on Earth”.
The Kumbh Mela attracts worldwide attention as a remarkable spectacle: millions of pilgrims bathing in the Ganges, parades of gurus on thrones, flanked by naked Naga Sadhus smeared in ash.
This research, led by Nick Hopkins at the University of Dundee, Prof Stephen Reicher at the University of St Andrews, and Prof Narayanan Srinivasan at the University of Allahabad shows it to be remarkable in other ways as well.
How is it that a vast city of strangers emerges from nothing every year, and yet it functions harmoniously? How is it that people thrive in an environment that is densely crowded, intensely noisy and often insanitary?
The event in Allahabad will provide the answers to these and other questions about the Mela. It will also provide insights that are relevant, not only to the Mela, but go to the heart of processes that make human social life possible, which create (or undermine) social cohesion and which shape our sense of well being. ‘Sometimes we look at the Mela as an exotic event and focus on how different the pilgrims are from us. Our work shows how the pilgrim experience has lessons for all of us about how to create a good community and to ensure that people thrive in the community,’ Hopkins said. ‘By all the tenets of conventional wisdom, the Mela shouldn’t work. It is crowded, noisy and unsanitary.
One might expect people to be stressed, quarrelsome and conflictual. Yet the event is harmonious and people are serene. Studying the Mela has forced us to reconsider many basic beliefs about how people function in society,’ Reicher said. Narayanan said, ‘This has been the largest ever social science collaboration between the UK and India and possibly the most successful. The event in Allahabad will be very exciting. It will reveal findings that are sure to surprise people. It will change their understanding of crowds and communities.’
Hindu Existence Post Script:
The Kumbh Mela
Kumbh Mela is a mass Hindu pilgrimage in which Hindus gather at the Ganges, river Godavari and river Shipra, where bathing for purification from sin is considered especially efficacious.
Mainly, the Ardh (half) Kumbh Mela is celebrated every six years at Haridwar and Allahabad, the Purna (complete) Kumbh takes place every twelve years, at four places Allahabad, Haridwar, Ujjain, and Nashik. The Maha(great) Kumbh Mela which comes after 12 ‘Purna Kumbh Melas’, or 144 years, is held at Allahabad.
Five Types of Kumbh Melas • Maha Kumbh Mela – occurring every 144 years – only in Allahabad. • Purna Kumbh Mela – after every 12 years – last one took place in January 2001 in Allahabad. • Ardh Kumbh – 6th year after Kumbh Mela. • Kumbh Mela – every 3rd years, rotating through Prayag, Nasik, Haridwar and Ujjain. • Magh Mela – Annual, held every year except years of Kumbh Mela and Ardh Kumbh Mela Held in Magh (Jan-Feb); hence the name. Only in Allahabad.
According to the Mela Administration’s estimates, around 70 million people participated in the 45-day Ardh Kumbh Mela in Allahabad, in 2007.
The previous Kumbh Mela, held in 2010 in Haridwar, was, before it occurred, estimated by the authorities to attract between 30 and 70 million people. Coming Ardha Kumbh Mela will start on 14-January-2013 at Allahabad.
Most Significant Days During The Kumbh Mela
Makar Sankranti (14th January 2013 Sunday) - Shahi Snan
A Holy bath during this period carries special significance. Those who take a holy bath in the rivers Ganga, Yamuna, Godavari, Krishna and Kaveri acquire pious credits . Ganga is considered as the river of heaven. This river came to earth by the religious austerity of Bhagirath and river had conjunction with ocean for the reclamation of ocean. The day Ganga dissolved in ocean was the day of Makar Sankranti. Hence, the virtue of bathing in Ganga today is much more than any other day. In Kolkata, lakhs of devotees come to take bath in Ganga sagar. In Allahabad as well, great masses come for bathing and doing charity on the banks of Sangam. One month of Kalpvas(kumbh mela) is also started in Allahabad from the day of Makar Sankranti, which is been followed since the era of Ramayana.
Paush Purnima (27 January 2013 Sunday)
The day occurs when the moon is full in the Hindu month of Paush. This is the last full moon of winter. By this time, the sadhu and hundreds of thousands of pilgrims arrive at the Kumbh Mela. On the day of Paush Purnima, devotees take baths in various sacred rivers like Ganga and Yamuna. People take baths at various places including Haridwar and relieve themselves of all their sins and problems. Taking baths, donations, charities etc are considered very sacred on this day. The baths of Magh month start with Paush Purnima and hence, this day is considered very important. It is believed that all wishes come true on this day.
Ekadashi Snan (6 February 2013)

It is advised that Smartha with family should observe fasting on first day only. The alternate Ekadashi fasting, which is the second one, is suggested for Sanyasis, widows and for those who want Moksha. When alternate Ekadashi fasting is suggested for Smartha it coincides with Vaishnava Ekadashi fasting day. Ekadashi fasting on both days is suggested for staunch devotees who seek for love and affection of Lord Vishnu.
Mauni Amavasya Snan (10 February 2013 Sunday) - Shahi Snan

The Amavasya of Magh Masa is called the Mauni Amavasya. Sun and Moon enter and the Capricorn sign, because of the transit, on this day. This day is celebrated as the birthday of Manu Rishi. It is believed, Lord Brahma gave origination to Maharaja Manu and queen Shatrupa. Hence, this day is considered as the beginning of the universe creation. Capricorn sign has the Yoga of Sun and Moon which increases the significance of this Amavasya. Bathing in Sangam of Allahabad, gives virtues to an individual, on this day. According to some scholar, Maun Vrat should be observed. Maun (silent) Vrat means to control all our senses. It depends on a person for how long he wants to observe silence. People take the resolution of Maun Vrat for a day, or a month, or for one year.

Hindus reject Jagaddhatri Puja Celebrations at Tehatta (Nadia, West Bengal) in a protest to Islamic Pro-activism by the State Administration.

Tehatta Jagaddhatri Puja Coordination Committee resolved to postpone all ‘Jagaddhtri Puja’ at Tehatta Town.
Upananda Brahmachari from Tehatta | 19th Nov. 2012 :: Tehatta Jagaddhatri Puja Coordination Committee resolved to postpone all ‘Jagaddhtri Puja’ in Tehatta town this year in a protest of ‘trigger happy’ Police Firing on 14-11-2012 and ‘Obstinate Pro-Muslim’ Administration.
On Monday evening the meeting between administration and police led by Sri Sudipto Bhattacharjee – SDO, Tehatta and the Tehatta Jagaddhatri Puja Coordination Committee led by Sri Amarnath Biswas found no amicable settlement as the Puja committee of PWD Para Baroari Puja Committee wanted to perform a symbolic ‘Ghat Sthapan Puja’ at least in the very place of last year Puja and the Administration and Police negated it out rightly.
This year Shri Shri Jgaddhatri Mata Puja falls on and from 19th Nov to 23 Nov according to Bengali Hindu Calender and Chandan Nagar (Hoogly) and Tehatta (Nadia) are the most renowned places in West Bengal for conducting the same with special grandeur and most spectacular celebrations.
For the obstinate and pro-Muslim decision of the Tehatta administration and the policy of TMC (Total Muslim Congress as the people of Bengal usually name the Trinmool Congress), compelled the Puja Coordination to all 56 ‘Barowari’ and Sarvojanan’ Jagaddhatri Pujas of Tehatta, including the PWD Para Barwari Puja where TMC – MP (Member of Parliament) and eminent Benagli Film star , Sri Tapas Pal came to inaugurate the puja just last year.
A senior member of the Puja Coordination Committee told the Hindu Existence Team that “the land of ‘Eidgah’ and ‘Barowari Puja Place’ both are part of Vested and PWD lands. The Muslims are allowed to encroach the land permanently with boundaries under the blessed State Islamic policy, but a symbolic ‘Ghat Sthapanam Puja’ is not allowed in the previous year’s puja place by the same administration and ‘trigger happy’ police. This is too much. PWD lands, roadsides, most of the market places and crossing places are under the clutch of Muslim public and land grabbers in Nadia. But, police and administration have now perhaps directed only to uproot all the rights of Hindus in Nadia to make Nadia a Muslim majority district.” However, Nadia (Tehatta is one of the four subdivisions in the district) is a bordering district of West Bengal, adjacent to Bangladesh, where the Muslim infiltration, cross border smuggling, illegal cow and arms trading, net of fake Indian currency and obviously Islamic fundamentalism are seen in a very optimum level.
After the police violence and firing upon the peaceful demonstration of Hindus lead by the Tehatta Jagaddhatri Puja Coordination Committee and ‘Tehatta bandh’ convened by Tehatta Business Owners Association on 14th Nov at Haulia (spelt as Howlia also) Crossing (where a person Ashoke Sen was died at Police Firing by SDPO himself), the insane SDPO, Dr Shailesh, IPS lodged a FIR (Police Case No. 825/2012) against 18 Hindu persons by their particular names in Tehatta police station in Nadia. It has been reported that Police is trying to connect RSS and other Hindu organisation in that violence unreasonably under the instruction of State Administration from Writers’ Buildings, Kolkata.
Marvellously, the SDPO, Tehatta has determined Sri Pintu Sarkar, a sub-inspector of Tehatta police station as the investigation officer into the case. This Pintu Sarkar, SI, himself is an accused of police firing case in which a housewife was killed at Bogula of Hanskhali in Nadia in a Vijaya Dashmi Immersion procession on 7th Oct. 2011. A case is going on under section 302 of IPC against Sri Sarkar in the Hon’ble Calcutta High Court in this matter, so far the reports gathered by Hindu Existence Forum.
Both the state leaders of Congress and CPIM of West Bengal, vehemently opposed the recent police firings in West Bengal under a TMC ruling and macaronic Mamataz Banu Arjee advocating ’Change’, ‘Development’, ‘Party Discipline’, ‘No Confidence Motion in Parliament with BJP support’ and obviously for her fantasy of an Islamic West Bengal.
While leader in opposition in West Bengal Assembly, Dr Surjyokanto Mishra (CPIM) accused Mamata Banerjee for playing her Communal Cards for Muslim votes in the ensuing WB Panchayet election, Sri Adhir Ranjan Roy Chowdhury, veteran Congress leader and Rly Minister of State, GOI blamed the West Bengal Chief Minister for her inappropriate steps in which the communal situation in WB is rapidly engendering the public in her culpable regime.

Diwali decorations at Bhagyalakshmi Mata Temple objected by Muslims of Hyderabad. Why Muslims do not tolerate Temple Bells & Diwali Illuminations?
Posted by hinduexistence on November 12, 2012
Incomplete Diwali decoration at Bhagyalakshmi Mata Temple at Charminar due to Islamic objections.
Upananda Brahmachari from Bhagya Nagar (Hyderabad) || 10-11-12 (10th Nov. 2012) :: This Diwali is not so delightful for the Hindus in Hyderabad. Islamic maroon in MIM ( Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul Muslimeen) have taken the vow to hamper the Diwali Celebration at Historical Bhagyalakshmi Temple at Charminar in the city at any cost. So they are not ready to allow any makeshift pandal decoration for the yearly Diwali Celebration at Bhagyalakshmi Mata Temple, in the same style of the Kashmiri agitators, how they were not allowing the use 99 acres of land for Amarnath Pilgrimage in 2008. Then the Kashmiri subversive elements saw a bogey of demographic change of J&K due to Amarnath pilgrimage and for the temporary transfer of that lands to Amarnath Shrine Board. Now, the Hyderabadi maroons just feel the disturbance and embarrassment for Allah due to the temple bells of Bahyalakshi Mata Mandir and illuminations of Diwali. Actually those creatures are the dwellers of darkness and can’t bear any ray of light.
Tensions prevail again in old city Sunday following rumours that the management of Bhagyalakshmi Temple had taken up its expansion work near the Charminar. Actually, the Temple committee is only trying to set a temporary shed adjacent to it for accommodating the devotees to attend the yearly Diwali Celebration in the Temple as a long drawn traditions. Due to the status quo order passed by the Hon’ble Andhra Pradesh High Court on 5th November, the MIM idiots spread various types of rumours so that the Diwali decoration in the Baghyalakshmi Mata Temple cannot be done properly, as reports came in.
‘As tension mounted in some parts of old city over the rumours, the area was cordoned off and some leaders of MIM party were prevented from trying to proceed towards Charminar, violating prohibitory orders banning assembly of five or more persons, police said.
“Six MIM legislators and its two councillors were taken into custody as a precautionary measure for not allowing police to maintain status quo orders of the Andhra Pradesh High Court, a senior police officer said.
The MIM leaders alleged that despite the state High Court ordering status quo, some groups were carrying out the expansion work.
However, Bhagyalaxmi Devalaya Parirakshana Samithi convener Bhagavanth Rao refuted the charges saying that they have been maintaining court’s orders and merely took up works to decorate temple on the occasion of Diwali.
Meanwhile, city Police Commissioner Anurag Sharma appealed to people to maintain peace and not to believe the rumours.
The usually busy roads leading to the 400-year-old Charminar monument were deserted with police sealing off all the routes by erecting barricades and barbed fencing.
Police intensified patrolling in the sensitive areas of the old city that witnessed communal clashes last week.
Prohibitory orders banning assembly of five or more people remained in force in areas falling under five police station limits of South Zone in old city from November 8.
A large number of policemen including the Rapid Action Force (RAF) were deployed in communally sensitive areas.
BJP on Saturday took out a rally in protest against the state government for not allowing to undertake decoration work at century old temple adjacent to Charminar, on the occasion of Diwali festival.
On a petition filed by MIM, the state High Court recently gave a direction to maintain status quo as on October 30.’ ['-' from Hindu].
For the hardness from both the communities, the normal life of the peace loving people are grossly hampered.
The prominent Hindu leader of Sri Ram Yuba Sena and Telgu Desham councillor, Thakur Raja Singh alleged the softness of the ruling party towards MIM perpetrators. In his facebook page Raja Singh remarked: “T. Raja Singh ko Bhagyalaxmi Mata Mandir jaane se pehle he roka gaya aur ACP dwara arrest kiya gaya. DCP ko Raja Bhai ne kal tak ka time diya hai. Agar mandir ka kaam shuru nahi hua toh iske anjaam k liye taiyaar rahe. Aao Hindu bhaiyo kal ek naya itihaas likhe. Jai Sri Ram”
However, the decoration of Diwali is still pending at Bhagyalakshmi Mata Temple, even in the day of ‘Dhanteras’ – the eve of Diwali. From Amarnath to Hyderabad, Kolkata to Dwaraka, Muslims of India are repeatedly challenging the festivals of Hindus. Numbers of Hindu Pujas and Festivals are decreasing due to the Islamic resistance. But, while Hindus will start a real resistance to save their Dharma, these anti-Hindus will find no place in Hindustan.
Justice for Hindus?
Updates from Hyderabad: 12-11-2012 : 1. Police Commissioner Anurag Shrama said that he followed “COURT ORDERS” which were implemented after reports from ASI and other AUTHORITIES who were served the COURT ORDERS by the HIGH COURT.
According to police. In Yesterday violence 4 (four) RTC buses were pelted with stones, 2 (two) private vehicles were damaged and one ATM was damaged, police booked cases related to incidents of violence. Apparently “City is peaceful.”.
2. Heavy restrictions and deployment are seen around Charminar and Sri Mata Bhagyalakshmi Temple. Temple priest preparing for Special Puja of Deepwali in the Temple without any special festive decoration of the Temple.
3. Pujyasri Paripoornananda Saraswati Swamiji was arrested and was taken to Gandi Nagar Police Station when Swamiji was Going towards Bhagya Lakshmi Temple In Hyderabad to visit.
4. MIM (All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul Muslimeen) withdrawn support from Congress Govt. of Andhra Pradesh. And perhaps MIM perpetrators are planning a ‘direct action’ against Hindus of Hyderabad.
5. Hindus of Hyderabad are ready to face any challenge of Anti National Force ith the Blessings of Ma Bhavani and under the Leadership of Thakur Raja Singh and other Hindu prominents.

President Mukherjee conducts rituals at hometown.
IANS | Mirati, Birbhum, West Bengal, October 21, 2012 :: President Pranab Mukherjee rendered priestly duties on Sunday, donning the special puja robes, and performed customary Mahasaptami rituals for the Durga puja at his ancestral home in West Bengal’s Birbhum district. Accompanied by wife Shuvra, Mukherjee arrived at his ancestral residence in Mirati village from his sister’s house in Kirnahar early in the morning to start the Puja celebrations.
The ‘Nabapatrika snan-o-sthapan’, which is the ritual to install the idol of the deity, was performed by Mukherjee’s son Abhijit. Previously the custom was carried out by Mukherjee but this time he only walked up to the canal where the traditional ‘Kola bou’ (tender banana plant) was bathed early in the morning.
After the ‘Pran Prathistha’, or giving life to the deity, Mukherjee chanted hymns and did the Chandipath. The Chandipath was done inside an enclosure and camera persons were not allowed inside.
The Mahasaptami puja rituals concluded with an ‘arati’ which Mukherjee conducted wearing silk dhoti and a silken stole draped around his shoulders.
During the arati, he sought blessings for all. “I wish and pray to god to bless everybody,” he said.
Villagers in large number gathered to see Mukherjee perform his maiden Durga puja after becoming the president of the country.
The rituals were conducted by Mukherjee amid elaborate security arrangements.
For years, the veteran leader has been conducting the Durga Puja rituals at Mukherjee Bhawan, and has steadfastly stuck to the routine by taking out time during the festival despite his busy schedule as in charge of various constitutional and political posts.
The president was later to meet students of his alma mater, Kirnahar Shib Chandra High School, at the nearby Kirnahar town. He would inaugurate a permanent exhibition “Pranab’s School – School’s Pranab” showcasing different phases of his life.
Mukherjee touched down in his native village, some 170 km from Kolkata, on Saturday evening.
He will return to Kolkata Oct 23 evening before returning to Delhi.

Hinglaj Hindu Temple committee chairman kidnapped in Balochistan by suspected Islamists in the eve of Yearly Pilgrimage.
Islamabad, Apr 9,2012, (PTI)
The chairman of the committee that manages the famous Hinglaj Mata temple in Balochistan province of southwest Pakistan has been kidnapped just two days before the beginning of the shrine’s annual pilgrimage, according to a media report today.
Maharaj Ganga Ram Motiyani was abducted at Lasbela in Balochistan by two men in police uniform.
“Motiyani’s kidnapping appears to be a conspiracy against Hindus since he was kidnapped two days before the gathering.
“He has not been kidnapped for ransom because he is a poor man,” Ramesh Kumar Vankwani, patron of the Pakistan Hindu Council and a former member of the Sindh Assembly, was quoted as saying by The Express Tribune daily.
Thousands of Hindus, including yatris from India, travel to the cave temple of Hinglaj Mata for a pilgrimage in April.
According to Hindu beliefs, Lord Vishnu cut the body of Sati with his flaming disc into 50 pieces, which fell to the earth. Sati’s head fell at Hinglaj.
Hindu leader Chandar Turshani said two men in police uniform arrived at Motiyani’s shop at 8.30 pm and said a senior police official wanted to meet him.
“We contacted the area police station within half an hour but he was not there,” Turshani said.
Motiyani’s family lost contact with him after an hour.”The provincial and district governments have assured us that he will be rescued but we are clueless about why Motiyani was taken and what condition he is in,” said Turshani.

Riots erupt in Hyderabad after desecration of Hanuman Temple with Beef and Green colour.
Bhagyanagar (Hyderabad) | 9th April, 2012: An indefinite curfew was today imposed in the sensitive Madannapet and Saidabad areas of the walled city. A Hanuman temple at Kurmaguda, (in Saidabad) was found desecrated on the Sunday morning which was followed by incidents of stabbing and heavy stone-pelting, hence curfew has been imposed, police said.
A day after the Hanuman Jayanti (6th April, 20-12), in the early hours of Sunday, 8th April 2012, the devotees of the Hanuman temple at Kurmaguda, in Saidabad, were in for a shock to find green colour had been splashed on the walls of the temple and pieces of cow meat were thrown inside the temple from the grills.
The naturally agitated Hindu youth protested against this sacrilegious act. The Muslims who are a majority in that area launched an offensive on the Hindus and both sides engaged in a duel of stone fight. Sensing trouble, the police indulged in lathi charge and also fired tear gas hurting many of the protesters. At the same time, the Muslims grouped themselves into a larger group and more or less occupied the main road of Saidabad armed with stones and swords, eye witnesses told NewsBharati.
The incidents were reported from the Madannapet and Saidabad areas of the Old City here. Additional forces have been deployed there, a senior police official told.
