Speakers at VHP Samajotsava at Udupi stress on protecting Hindus, take digs at CM

Posted by hinduexistence on March 11, 2015

VHP strongly condemns ban on Togadia, pledged for Hindu Unity at mega Hindu Samajotsav at Udupi, Karnataka.

Udupi Samajotsava VHPHENB | Udupi | March 10, 2015:: The land of Krishna once again became place of inspiration for Vishwa Hindu Parishad karyakarta’s as huge gathering turned out to witness mega Hindu Samajotsav at MGM Grounds in Udupi on Monday evening.

VHP Chief Dr Pravin Togadia supposed to address the Hindu Samajotsav, but Udupi district administration had imposed a week long ban on him from entering Udupi.

Prashant Hartalkar, Inchagege of Vishwa Vibhag of VHP delivered the key note address. VHP Zonal organising secretary Gopal, VHP golden jubilee committee’s Pejawar Vishwesha Theertha Swamiji, Dr Mohan Alva, Prof MB Puranik, several other socio-religious leaders and thousands of citizens attended the mega event.

VHP leaders unanimously condemned ban on Dr Pravin Togadia. A spectacular shobhayatra was held prior to Hindu Samajotsav ceremony.

Tens of thousands of people gathered at MGM grounds here on Sunday March 9 to witness the Virat Hindu Samajotsava organized by VHP as part of its golden jubilee celebrations.

Addressing the gathering, Hartalkar took a dig at the state government and chief minister Siddaramaiah over the ban on Togadia and said, “I am thankful to the district president of VHP Suprasad Shetty for giving me this opportunity, but more than that, I should thank the chief minister of Karnataka, as Dr Pravinbhai Togadia was supposed to come, but now I have got the opportunity in his place. May god give him (CM) some sense.

Cannot change Hindu people’s beliefs with swords, politics and schemes: Prashant Hartalkar

“You cannot change people’s beliefs with swords, politics and schemes. The CM should have at least come and witnessed this immense faith here and respected it,” Prashant Hartalkar said.

Referring to the Congress party, he said, “You are not there in the entire country, you are left only in Karnataka, so at least you should manage yourself here. You have lost your heart and mind. You have become pauper.

“Doctor (Pravin Togadia) was supposed to come here but unfortunately the compounder has come,” he quipped.

Praising Udupi for its religious sanctity, he said, “VHP began in Udupi, so without taking the name of Udupi my speech is incomplete. VHP has completed 50 years and it has guaranteed the safety of Hindus across the world. No Hindu is lonely – all Hindus in the world are one and united. This awareness has been created by VHP throughout the world. This organization is scientifically built with the blessings of saints and true ideology.”

Quoting from Bhagavad Geeta, he said, “If you protect dharma, dharma will protect you. A father should follow pitr dharma and mother, matr dharma. If father fails to follow pitr dharma, he will be in old age home. If mother fails to follow her matr dharma, her daughter will fall prey to love Jihad. Hence we need to follow our dharma.”

Stressing on the need to preserve Hindu religion and traditions, he said, “About 250 years ago, several Hindus were taken to other countries as slaves. They were without families and money, still they went from being zeroes to heroes. They recited bhajans and Hanuman Chalisa every evening and that practice is still alive in those countries. Even today Ramayana is told in Bali in their language. The PM of Mauritius is a Hindu. It is because we preserved our culture and tradition, and because keertanas and bhajans were recited in our childhoods, the practice continues even today.”

Lauding the VHP further, he said, “VHP is well organized and there is no problem on any front. Many reformers came to this world but they could not succeed in their mission because there was a necessity of organizaion, but VHP has done that with team work from the past 50 years.

“When I went to Pakistan where there are 27 lac Hindus, I saw that the Hindus there have no right to cremate the dead according to Hindu faith. Some do it secretly with fear. Here (in India) Muslims are demanding various facilities and complaining that they did not get this and that, but it is painful to see the condition of the Hindus in Pakistan. When there is right of cremation in the entire world, Pakistan has not given this right to Hindus there. Where can those Hindus go? They are looking at us because we are their elder brothers,” he said.

“When I was in Bangladesh for 16 days, I saw 148 temples being destroyed and Hindus being raped and murdered. Where they will go and who will be responsible for them? We, the Hindus of Bharat, are responsible for them. Let us morally support them. We have to prove our capability and face reality. Nothing will come from mere shouting. The entire Hindu community of the world has expectations from us,” he said.

“When there was economic crisis in America, the entire Europe was shaken but India did not feel its impact. It is because of our culture, because of our ladies who manage household banking. Indian culture is strongly rooted, it begins from family. When a good Hindu comes from a good family, our culture will be protected. We should think about this. We should not become orthodox but progressive Hindus,” he exhorted.

“Conversion, corruption, terrorism, cow slaughter and untouchability are five evils to this nation”.

“Minorities should raise voice against conversion and terrorism”: Pejawar Swamiji

Udupi 2Sri Vishweshateertha Swamji of Pejawar Math termed the Virat Hindu Samajotsava as ‘Vishwa Roopa Darshana’ in Udupi and said, “We are not against anyone nor are we communal. But we are believers in love.”

“VHP is protecting the culture of this nation and the sanatana dharma. Minorities need not fear, no one will face injustice. Conversion and terrorist actvities should stop and minorities should raise their voice against these issues. When this happens, there will be peace and harmony in society. When conversion takes place, there will also be reconversion, and this is what leads to conflict. You are free to follow your faith but do not interfere in other’s faiths. “There should be no attempt to convert anyone, and minority communities need to speak out against this. Peace and harmony can be maintained if there is no conversion and terrorist activities. Minority leaders should guide their communities in the right path and give them good message. We should all make efforts to build a peaceful society,” he said.

Citing an example from the Ramayana, he said, “Youth should be like Ram and Laxman and fight against terrorism and conversion, which have caused problems to the entire nation.

“We condemn conversion in the name of service – it should not be done. We demand the government to bring law against conversion. The government has given so many facilities to the minorities – we are not saying do not give, but along with them, give the same facilities to the majority community too. Do not discriminate.”

On the issue of cow slaughter, he said, “See the presence of ‘Gau Mata’ in humans and agriculture. It gives milk from birth to death. The Karnataka government should ban cow slaughter as done in Maharashtra.”

He also gave call to end untouchability and said, “The society should become free from untouchability. It is insult to Hindu Samaj – there is no such practice in any other faith.”

He concluded by declaring, “Conversion, corruption, terrorism, cow slaughter and untouchability are evils to this nation and we should all join hands to abolish them.”

‘Karnataka CM fears losing his chair, he is supporting PFI’

Udupi 3Organizing secretary of VHP south province Gopalji said, “We are celebrating 50 years of VHP and already in 18 places, about 3,000 to one lac people have gathered for each of the Hindu Samajotsavas. Out of the 18, Dr Pravin Togadia has addressed eight Samajotsavas, but every programme was held peacefully. But from February 8, his programmes have been banned because the CM fears losing his chair.”

He also criticized Dr Vishal, the DC of Udupi for imposing the ban on Togadia and said, “I have met Dr Vishal, and know him from the Yadgir incident. He is anti-Ram and narrow-minded. The state government gave permission to the rally of PFI whose activists cheered for Pakistan and allowed them to go up till 7 pm, but they want Hindu Samajotsava to end by 5.30 pm. Why is the CM supporting PFI?

“In VHP there are several Togadias. VHP does not exist because of only Togadia’s name – it is in the hearts of youth, and no one can stop the VHP wave – neither the CM nor his mother (Sonia Gandhi). VHP has created awareness among Hindus. It is great community that has worked for the development of humanity and treats the entire world as family. Hindus never invaded holding swords in one hand and the holy book in other, or by offering service. We love the entire world.”

Speaking on conversion issue, he said, “Muslims converted forcibly and Christians in the name of service. Conversion should be stopped or there should be law against conversion, if not Ghar Wapsi will continue.

“Ours is a great community which has provided education to women. But elsewhere, girls are shot when they go to school – is this culture or perversion of culture? If such girls want to come to Hindu religion, be ready to welcome them. Hindu population will not decline, this is era of Hindu development.

“Among Muslims, some women feel that they cannot be inside burkha any longer. No girl wants to hide her face. Such Muslim girls feel that if they marry a Hindu, they will have their husband lifelong (as against polygamy).

“Christians converted Hindus by luring them with service. People are talking of the service offered by Christians but there also Hindu Maths which provide free education without converting anyone. Hence we are not ready to accept the service of Mother Teresa. VHP is providing education in the name of Ekal Vidyalaya to 20 lac students in rural areas.”

He also warned the Hindus against love Jihad and asked them to be ‘careful’, and declared that Ram Mandir will be built and some day Pakistan will be rejoined to India.

Chairman of Alva’s Education Foundation Dr Mohan Alva said, “Culture, values and patriotism have been given to us by our forefathers. Everyone should look into our past and contemplate on this. As per our expectastions, the country has got a leader like Narenda Modi. PM Modi is our dream come true.”

He also spoke on terrorism and said, “Our country has shattered because of terrorism. Is it wrong to say that terrorism is wrong?”

On the issue of conversion he said, “I have seen conversion. As I am running educational institutions I have adopted many children but never converted any student, but I have seen children from Manipur and Siddhi and Koraga communities getting converted and coming here. Is it wrong to ask that conversion should stop?”

On cow slaughter he said, “We cannot compare cow to other animals. The central government should ban cow slaughter and fulfill our wishes. Let us support the government in this.

“There is a global challenge today. Culture and folk traditions are being twisted. Only truth should be taught in schools,” he said.

Nagraj Shetty, former minister, Suresh Shetty Gurme, Lalaji R Mendon, former MLA of Kaup, Sunil Kumar, MLA Karkala, Vilas Nayak, BJP leader, Deviprasad Shetty, Geethanjali Suvarna, ZP member, Mattar Rathnakar Hegde, Katpady Shankar Poojary, former president of ZP, Shyamala S Kunder, secretary, State BJP, Rajesh Kumar Katapady, Mattu Manohar Shetty, Jerry Vincent Dias and others were present.

Muslims tried to clamp Holi in various places of Uttar Pradesh.

Posted by hinduexistence on March 7, 2015

Holi disrupted in many places of  Uttar Pradesh for Friday Namaz at Noon.

UP celebrates Holi with fervour amid violence instigated by Muslims  at Gorakhpur, Faridabad, Allahabad, Fatehpur and Bareilly.

Rasulpur (Ghorakhpur) still tensed after Hindu Muslim clash in Holi.

Rasulpur (Ghorakhpur) still tensed after Hindu Muslim clash in Holi.

HENB | Gorakhpur-Allahabad-Lucknow | March 6, 2015::  While the by-lanes of Mathura, Vrinadvan, Barsana in Braj to the ghats of Varanasi and from Temples to village yards,  Holi was celebrated across Uttar Pradesh on Friday with favour and fervour but some unpleasant and provocative incidents of clashes and firing were also reported at few places.

“While there were reports of minor clashes and incidents of firing at some places, the festival of colours passed off peacefully”, a home department official informed. But, sections of  unruly elements to defame Hindus and some Muslim miscreants tried to clamp the enthusiastic Holi of Hindus in a very condemnable way.

Rasulpur in  Gorakhpur saw a heavy clash between Hindu and Muslim youths in the day of Holi, while Muslims wanted to stop playing Holi in roads until the Jumma Namaj was offered.

Reports came in that the Dozens of Muslim youth of Rasulpur  came all on a sudden to the roads and forced to stop the Holi celebrations on roads and told the local Hindu children to wipe out the colours from the roads as ‘Holi is forbidden in Islam’. The armed Muslim youths started brandishing of swords and told the Hindu minor boys and girls then enjoying Holi on roads, to stop splashing colour any more until Jumma prayer at noon.

While the feared children reported the incident to their guardians, Hindu youths of that locality came out to protest and chased the Muslim hooligans.

After growing controversy, hooligan Muslim youths started attack on Hindus removing the swords, from which three Hindu youths hurt seriously. A youth has been cut to the mouth and nose. During the violence a motorcycle and a shop were set on fire. Heavy brick-baiting and use of iron rods and choppers were seen in the incident. Some Muslims were also injured in the incident as reported.

After the violent skirmish, police and administration officials rushed to the spot and took the control over the situation.

Getting the news of violence of Hindu and Muslims, DM of Gorakhpur, Sri Ranjan Kumar and SSP Sri Pradip Kumar reached the spot at earliest. But, the situation is still tensed and Hindus of Rasulpur are deprived of celebrating Holi this year in full course.

Gorakhpur has its history to be disturbed by the Muslims in many occasions including the days of Hindu celebration of Holi.

In 2003, the festival of colours Holi turned gory killing three including the Imam of Ghazi Rauza mosque and another person and 50 were seriously injured then.

Hindu-Muslim brawls and violence instigated by Muslims have also been reported this year from Muthiganj area of Allahabad and Ballabgarh area in the district  of Faridabad.

In many places in UP, Holi was disturbed by the Muslims.

In Ballabgarh,  a group of Muslim youth yelling and abusing others came in a vechile and asked the Hindu people dancing on the road to give way to their vehicle. When the other group refused and asked them to take another road, the matter aggravated and those in the vehicle were allegedly beaten by the colony residents.

Following which, the Muslim group, which was thrashed, returned after about an hour with more people with lethal  arms like swords and  iron rods. The clash injured several people of both sides.

In Muthigang area Allahbad a crude bomb has been charged in a holi procession, as reported. One person left dead and several injured.  Four persons arrested so far a police investigation is on to reveal the antecedents of the violence.

Two people were also injured when two groups clashed in a Fatehpur village of Azamgarh districts. The Muslim public protested temple music due to their Friday Namaz at noon.

In Bareilly, it was a tough day for the police and administration to control sporadic violence created by communal Muslim public in many places,

The areas under Bankhana, Kila ke Muhalla , Ni ki  Chadai and  Khalenagar, arrogant Muslims attacked the Hindu public playing Holi in their own way.

The Muslim public heavily stoned at Hindu public, commuters and vehicles when a brawl took place near by  street at  the vicinity of Ghosia Mosque. Muslims took otherwise while some Hindu juvenile splashed colour over them. The Muslim came out with great protest and started stone pelting. One Vijay Sharma was severly injured and later admitted into District Hospital by the police on duty. Windscreen of some vehicles and window pen of some Hindu shop owners were broken.

To control the confronting Hindu-Muslim public, police had to fire in the air in Neem ki Chadai to get control of the situation. But, the police said that the firing was made by the miscreants of one side.

There was reporting of violence from Jassoli Mosque area and Asraf Khan Chawni locality of Bareilly due to same dispute of Friday namaj and sprinkling of colour of Holi.

In the area Khalenagar Railway siding one Kallan Khan injured severely two women and a boy by stoning. It is reported that Kallan was going to take part at Jumma Namaj (Friday Prayer at Noon) in a near by Mosque. Then Monu (10 yrs) sprinkled some water colour on Kallan. Getting furious by that colour of Holi, Kallan (a Devout Muslim or an Islamic Insane?) started heavy stone pelting towards the house of Monu. Monu, his mother Rajvati  and one of their neighbor Seema (wife of Khestrapal) got serious injury. Being minority there, Hindus could not protest anyway.  But after reporting the matter into near by police posting, two police personnel went  to the spot to find Kallan but failed to trace the culprit.

But, it is very unfortunate for the pious Hindus in many places that the significance of Holi has been turned objectionable due to unwanted excesses with very loud music being played at public places, vulgarity at display in public places and drunk driving. It is also reported from Sarnath that one elderly Hindu man has beaten to death by some persons belonging to rowdy Hindu youths as the elderly man and his son protested against teasing of some girl playing Holi.

Colours of Holi smear minority Hindus in Pak but disrupted in Sindh University.

Holi celebrations at Sindh University roughed up by fanatical security men.

A student Union assured  to form human chain outside Swami Narayan Temple, Karachi  to protect Hindus celebrating Holi.

HENB | Karachi | March 5, 2015::  Despite continuous threat from fundamental Islamic elements, forcible conversions and migration of minority Hindu and Sikh community of Pakistan, the minority Hindu community continues to celebrate its religious festivals off bit within a pity of the majority Muslims anyway.

As a matter of fact,  increasing cases of violence and lack of security against their community, many Hindu families from Balochistan and Sindh have fled away  Pakistan only to migrate into India. Rest usually try to forget their 24×7 oppression and persecution in some  days of Holi or Diwali, but there also exist the shredded stories of  stipulation ‘to do and not to do’. But, it is the life support of festivity to enjoy the last bit of living for the vanishing Pakistani Hindus.

Unfortunate. “Holi celebrations were disrupted at the Sindh University on Wednesday when around a dozen students marking the festival were allegedly roughed up by the varsity’s private security guards with police having to be called in.

Associate Professor Amar Sindhu, who heads the philosophy department, told The Express Tribune that a couple of boys, one of whom had had his shirt torn, came to her complaining about how they had been roughed up. Under the impression that the guards and police may have stopped the students from celebrating Holi, she spoke to the varsity’s security chief Ghulam Nabi Kaka.

“I felt outraged and fought with Kaka [over phone] but he assured that the university can never stop students from celebrating the religious festivities and the SU students and faculty celebrate Holi every year for several days.”

b-e1425561124522

She added that Kaka had received complaint from some teachers of the Arts Faculty that some boys were creating a disturbance in the faculty’s garden, and that the guards had been sent to control the situation.

Kaka told The Express Tribune that they did not intend to arrest any student. “We acted to prevent the (alleged) fight from boiling over. The university has a history of small issues heating up into big clashes among students.”

He said the guards did not beat any student but only broke them up and pushed them apart.

Sindhu further confirmed that Holi celebrations were allowed to resume after the brief fight”.

But, this ‘brief fight’ sparked the anti Govt. students’ movement for Pakhtun sand Balloch solidarity helped the Hindu minorities to celebrate the next phase of holi in the Swami Narayan Temple ground in Karachi.

Reports convey that the student organisation, National Students Federation (NSF) assured to  form a human shield outside Swami Narayan Temple, Light House, in Karachi to facilitate the Hindu people usually celebrate Holi every year at the grand temple.

“If the State cannot provide protection to minority communities, the public has to take a stand,” Central Organiser NSF Khurram Ali told The Express Tribune. “Previously, members of minority communities used to come out and protest alone but with so much intolerance in society, the general public needs to join minority communities,” Khurram said.

Karachi 1Karachi 2Quetta

But, it was not needed any human shield or chain as such. Hindus of Karachi assembled Swami Narayan Temple to celebrate Hole, the festival life with colour.

Yudhvir Rana the TNN correspondent reports in TOI that “In a pointer to communal harmony against all odds, Muslims of Pakistan joined hands with minority Hindus to celebrate the festival of colours Holi for the first time in an even held at Jamshoro in Sindh province on Wednesday.

The CEO of Progressive Human Foundation (PHF) Chandar Kumar told TOI that the Holi celebration was held in rural Jamshoro, which was attended by people of other religions besides the Hindu community of Sindh.

A research associate with PHF, Samiya Rafiqe said she was mesmerized to see people crazily splashing colours at each other. “This was for the first time that I saw a riot of colours with people enjoying every moment of it,” she said. She said that celebrating and participating in each other’s festival only strengthened bonds between two societies and helps shed differences. The event was jointly organized by PHF and Pakistan Hindu Seva Welfare Trust (PHSWT), informed trust president Sanjesh Dhanja.”

Reports of Holi festivity also came in from Lahore, Pak Hyderabad, Chhakwal, Tharparkar. Quetta and some other places from Pakistan.

Pak Premier Nawaz Sharif greeted Hindu community of Pakistan in the event of Holi by saying, “Holi a colourful occasion symbolising verve and energy of life celebrated by the Hindu community…Hindu community would continue to play their role for peace, progress and prosperity of Pakistan with complete dedication.”

The Pak President Mamnoon Hussain wished Holi as a  time for rejoicing and conveying a message of festivity, happiness, charity, and acknowledged the valuable contribution made by the Hindu community in Pakistan in all fields.

Apparently the colour of Holi added some splashing colour of joy and happiness to the Hindus of Pakistan as there was no report of Talbani attacks of Hindus or abduction of any minor girls so far in the day of Holi.

Constitutional Hindu Rashtra is a practical solution for the protection of Hindus in Bharat: VHP.

Posted by hinduexistence on March 2, 2015

VHP Delhi

“Nothing wrong in ‘ghar wapsi, what is wrong in coming back?” : Jain Muni  Tarun Sagar.

A constitutional amendment making India a “Hindu rashtra” would be a good solution to protect the Hindus: Dr. Praveen Togadia.

Muslims and Christians in the country should admit that their ancestors were Hindus: Dr. Subramanian Swamy.

VHP Golden JubileeHENB | Indraprasth (Delhi) | 1 March 2015::   On the occasion of its Golden Jubilee celebrations, Vishwa Hindu Parishad, organised Virat Hindu Sammelan – Mega Hindu Gathering on Sunday, March 01, 2015, at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium New Delhi.

The Vishwa Hindu Parishad today waded into the controversy relating to religious conversions, saying there is nothing wrong in its ‘ghar wapsi’ programme and called for a law to check “forced” conversions.

The VHP said Parliament should pass a law on forced religious conversions and maintained that while conversions were wrong, there is nothing wrong in ‘ghar wapsi’ or reconversion back to Hinduism.

Addressing a congregation here to mark VHP’s golden jubilee, VHP’s International Working President Pravin Togadia said Congress President Sonia Gandhi and SP chief Mulayam Singh Yadav should ensure passage of a bill in Parliament to prevent religious conversions.

“Let there be no conversions, but say yes to ghar wapsi,” he said addressing the gathering.

Claiming that Hindus were not safe in India, he said if we are not careful, then states like Assam, West Bengal and Kerala will be “devoid” of any Hindu population.

Togadia also slammed US President Barack Obama for his recent “religious intolerance” remarks, saying “we do not require sermons” as they have failed to prevent an attack on a temple there. He, however, did not name the US President.

Togadia said Art. 25 of the Constitution lays down that a person has freedom of conscience and can engage in free profession, practice and propagation of religion.

The VHP leader’s remarks came days after Prime Minister Narendra Modi said in Lok Sabha that “nobody has the right to discriminate on the basis of religion… No one has the right to take law into his hands”.

Referring to the Ram temple in Ayodhya, Togadia said VHP is celebrating a festival today to marks its anniversary as there is still no Ram Temple there.

We will have festivities once there is a Ram temple, once four lakh Kashmiri Hindus return to the Valley trampling on the chests of jihadis,” he said.

He said that to protect the interests of Hindu, a constitutional amendment making India a “Hindu rashtra” would be a good solution.

Addressing the gathering, VHP’s International President G Raghava Reddy said there was a need to maintain the Hindu population at 80 per cent in the country.

“While Christians have monetary sources for conversions and Muslims have force of population, the Hindus should do a course on unity,” he said.

He alleged that Christians get Rs 40,000 crore annually for conversion activities.

BJP leader Subramanian Swamy said Muslims and Christians in the country should admit that their ancestors were Hindus.

He also said he will work for the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya by seeking a judicial pronouncement in its favour.

Jagatguru Shankrachayra Vasudevanand Saraswati sought to play down the controversy surrounding Sai Baba as some remarks were made against him by certain Hindu religious leaders. He said Sai Baba was a Hindu and a Brahmin and his name should not be dragged into any controversy.

He said that the 2014 Lok Sabha election results show that Hindus had united to vote for BJP.

On the issue of conversions, he said that while it was a crime to convert people, reconversion of those who had earlier converted to other religions was “welcome”.

Tarun Sagar, a Jain monk, spoke on similar lines, saying that while he opposes conversions, “what is wrong in coming back?”

Present: Jagadguru Shankaracharya Swami Vasudevanand Saraswati ji Maharaj, Mahamandaleshwar Swami Satyamitranand Giri ji Maharaj, Gita Manishi Swami Gyananand ji Maharaj, Pujya Sant Tarun Sagar ji Maharaj, Buddhist Saint Lama Tyogdan Rimpoche ji Maharaj from Ladakh, Shri Sudhanshu Ji Maharaj from Vishwajagriti Mission along with Joint General secretary-RSS, Suresh Soni, VHP veteran Ashok Singhal, President Raghav Reddy, working president Dr. Pravin  Togadia, vice president Rajmata Chandrakanta ji, Organising Gen sec, Dinesh Chandra, Dr. Subramanian Swami and the national convener of Bajrang Dal shri Rajesh Pandey, were present in the  the mega gathering.

Hindu population will soon reach 125 crore in Bharat to have the most powerful Hindu Rashtra in time.

Posted by hinduexistence on March 1, 2015

Stone ‘them’ and deport to Pakistan who obstruct Hindu Rashtra in Bharat.

Hindu population will soon reach 125 crore through meaningful ‘Gharwapsi': Sadhvi  Saraswati.

VHP Mangalore 1 March 2015HENB | Mangaluru |  Mar 1, 2015:: The fire brand Hindu Icon, Sadhvi Saraswati has hailed the Hindus of coastal district of Karnataka as ‘enlightened’, ‘ever-alert’ and ‘custodians of Hindu culture’.

Speaking at Virat Hindu Sammelan organized at VHP’s Golden Jubilee Celebration at Nehru Maidan in City of Mangaluru on Sunday, the main attraction of Hindu Samajotsav –  Sadhvi Saraswati  pressed the audience for unique unity of Hindu society with a warrior power  to combat the Jihadi force trying to Islamize the land of Bharat (India).

Calling upon the Hindus to be united and fight for the cause of Hindu Rashtra, Sadhvi Saraswati said that it should be everyone’s priority to protect the interest of the Hindu nation.

The young Sadhvi from Madhya Pradesh, who is known for her firebrand public speeches exposing Islam, Secular Politics and anti Hindu elements,  especially in events of Sangh Parivar, on Sunday offered special pooja at Kadri Manjunath Temple in the city before heading to Nehru Maidan.

The star speaker of today’s Hindu Samajtosav told media persons on the temple premises that Mangaluru always attracts her.

Responding to a question, she endorsed the controversial ‘Ghar Wapsi’ campaign of Sangh Parivar and said that the population of Hindus will soon reach 125 crore if the Ghar Wapsi campaign was carried out in a proper manner. Sadhvi called upon the media to promote Hindu culture and take up issues related to Hindus. All Hindus must be aware of the burning issues of Hindu society, she said. Increasing influence of western culture, cases of love Jihad and conversion of  Hindus to other religions etc. are major threat to Hindu society in India, she said, and exhorted Hindus to be united to face the challenges.

The young Sadhvi, who did not allow the saffron brigade to feel the absence of VHP supremo Praveen Togadia on the stage of Samajotsav, made several indirect attempts to compare Indian Muslims with Pakistanis throughout her Desi accent Hindi speech.

Spurred by the positive response of the thrilled crowd, the firebrand speaker exhorted the Hindus to take an oath to re-establish the Hindu Rashtra in India and protect their ‘nation’, ‘religion’ and ‘women’ from ‘enemies’.

Lashing out at AIMIM chief and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi, she said that the former lacks the guts to speak in front of Hindus.

Recalling the controversial statements of Owaisi brothers, she said that they are the enemies of the Hindu nation. “He (Owaisi) is still alive in this country because he took the name of Ramji or else it would be difficult to recognize him even with an autopsy. Stone ‘them’ and deport to Pakistan who obstruct Hindu Rashtra in Bharat. Nobody will be allowed here to re-frame again any Pakistan in the land of majority Hindus since time immemorial” she said.

Swami Vishvesh Teertha Ji AshirvadThe programme was blessed by Swami  Vishvesha Theertha Maharaj, Chief pontiff of Pejawar Mutt who said that Hinduism promotes harmony and tolerance in society. ‘Burn your ignorance, not Bhagavad Gita’, says Pejawar seer in his emotional speech at Hindu Samajotsav at Mangalore.

The event was spontaneous, vigorous and huge crowd-pulling. Thousands of activists of Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal took out a grand ‘Shobha Yatra’ in Mangaluru to mark the launch of Vishwa Hindu Parishad’s Virat Hindu Samajotsav. The rally was formally flagged off at Dr Ambedkar circle in the heart of the city in the presence of, seers, religio-political leaders and functionaries of VHP and Bajrang Dal.

Thousands of activists who took out mini rallies from various parts of the city joined the Shobha Yatra at Dr Ambedkar circle and marched towards Nehru Maidan, wherein Pejewar Mutt pontiff Sri Vishvesha Theertha Swamiji inaugurated the meet by performing ‘go-poojan’.

A considerable number of women also took part in the colourful Shobha Yatra which completely blocked road stretch between state bank bus terminus and Dr Ambedkar Circle for a long time. Euphoric slogans such as ‘Hindu Rashtra ki Jai’, ‘Vande Mataram’, ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’, ‘VHP-RSS ki Jai’, ‘Jai Shri Ram’, ‘Bharat me rhyna hog to Vande Matram khyna hoga’,  were raised by the people during the Shobha Yatra amidst music bands. Cultural troupes and tableaux were also part of the grand procession.

Some tension was also sparked in the city in relation to the programme and for a claim to ban the activities of PFI in Karnataka for their anti national activism.

Ahmar Mustikhan | ENS | Washington, DC |  February 22, 2015::  The Hindu American Foundation, in partnership with the Bhumi Project, based at Oxford University, is hosting Hindu Environment Week, an international event to honor Matru Bhumi or Mother Earth.

The Bhumi Project is an international Hindu response to the environmental challenges facing the planet. It is facilitated by the UK’s Oxford Centre for Hindu Studies in partnership with the Alliance of Religions and Conservation, a secular body that helps the world’s major faiths develop environmental programs based on their own core teachings, beliefs and practices.

“The purpose of Hindu Environment Week is to increase the global Hindu community’s engagement with critical environmental issues. The aim is to have Hindus volunteer at events where they can discuss climate change, hike in a national park, or clean up their local temple grounds,” said Sri Vani Ganti, director of member and chapter relations at the Hindu American Foundation, based in Washington, DC.

“Hindu scriptures focus a great deal on Mother Nature, or Matru Bhumi and how we should honor her for all the resources she provides us, so environmental activism is a natural fit,” said Ganti.

“Our hope as Hindu Americans is to find solutions within our ancient teachings to address the most pressing environmental issues of our time and proactively incorporate these teachings – teachings such as seeing nature as a manifestation of the divine, living in moderation and in a non-harming way – into our daily lives,” she said.

But Ganti acknowledged that since this is the first year programs have happened across the country, it’s difficult to gauge the level of impact Hindu Environment Week will have in the United States or within the Hindu American community.

The week kicked off Tuesday in Houston where the Hindu American Foundation’s local chapter handed out reusable grocery bags during the Durga Bari Society’s Maha Shivaratri worship.

On Saturday three other events were held in Oakland, California; Tampa. Florida; and Ann Arbor, Michigan.

As part of the observance, volunteers helped to restore the Oakland Zoo, which is in shambles due to U.S. budgetary cuts. The Hindu American Foundation’s Northern California chapter joined dozens of other volunteers to restore the zoo by refurbishing its gardens and exhibits.

In Tampa, Hindu American Foundation volunteers cleaned the local temple premises, while in Ann Arbor, members of the foundation and the South Asian Awareness Network screened “The Story of Stuff” and learned how consumerism is negatively affecting the environment.

The Bhumi Project and the Hindu American Foundation have been working together for several years. One such endeavor was the Bhumi Pledge, which aims to create a worldwide movement of young Hindus who are committed to caring for the environment.

According to Ganti, the Bhumi Project spearheaded Hindu Environment Week by reaching out to Hindu-based organizations globally.

Hindu Environment Week aims to engage university students, and many other members of the community are also participating.

“No matter the participant’s station in life, Hindu Environment Week encourages them to put into practice the ancient Hindu teachings about respecting and protecting nature with simple lifestyle choices including Meatless Mondays, walking or biking to class instead of taking public transport, or cleaning local parks,” Ganti said.

Ganti explained that Hindu Environment Week was first celebrated in 2014 with over 5,500 people participating, primarily at Hindu holy sites in India.

In 2015, Hindu Environment Week has become a larger global effort with events in India, the United Kingdom and the United States.

Hindu hardliners to discard open love show in V-Day on 14 Feb. Recommend Parents Worship Day.

Posted by hinduexistence on February 13, 2015

14 th Feb may be a day of hard tussle in India this year between the concept of down grading V-Day celebs (believe in open love-lock or lip-lock) and the morale activities of nationalist Hindu organizations.

Hindu hardliners to preach message of Love in V-Day by worshiping their parents as per Indian tradition.

parents worship day 2015Sumita Jain | HENB | Lakshmanabad (Lucknow) | 13 Feb 2015:: The Right wing Saffron outfits Hindu Mahasabha and Bajrang Dal have planned to oppose “western ways” of displaying affection on Valentine’s Day this Saturday, 14 th Feb as it is nothing but “the International conspiracy to flood Indian society with illegal excesses of love, sex and foreign gift items through the odd day celebration”.

The organisation also intends it support the idea of celebrating 14 February as Matru-Pitru Pujan Diwas (Parents worship day) as launched by Yog-Vedanta Samiti of Sri Sant Asaram Bapu.

Hindu Janajagruti Samiti has described the observation of Valentine’s Day, as a cultural conversion of Hindus!

While those in Vadodara and Ahmedabad are preparing to celebrate February 14 as a day of “love and worship” for parents, Bajrang Dal members in Lucknow are planning to take priests along to “help” lovers in parks get married on the spot.

In Vadodara, followers of Asaram Bapu  are leading a campaign with multi-faith posters depicting children celebrating the day with their parents under this caption: “Matru-Pitru Pujan Divas, Abba-Ammi Ibadat Divas and Parents Worship Day”.

Already the Chhattisgarh Govt has made it official to observe Matru-Pitru  Diwas in grass root level. While it is expected that most of the BJP run states will promote this programme, the Hindu Organisations loke Sri ram den and Hindu Mahasabha will oppose the excesses of ill culture and rave parties held in V-day celebrations.

“If there is any Hindu festival which comes close to Valentine’s Day, it is Basant Panchami when new blooms add a festive hue to the atmosphere and there is a traditional way of celebrating it.

“But, these celebrations are now on the wane and the youth are embracing western traditions,” Hindu Mahasabha President Chandra Prakash Kaushik said.

“Our teams consisting of boys and girls carrying white roses or other flowers will visit malls, parks, historical monuments and other places frequented by young couples on Valentine’s Day in major towns and cities in the country,” Kaushik said.

10978645_10152573523886316_1071916158808561922_nThe Hindu Mahasabha has chalked out a nationwide strategy to deter youth from displaying their affection in public warning that they could be married off.

“We are not against love as we are the country which has spread love all over the world but we are against the western influence on our society and by offering white flowers we will be spreading the message of peace,” he said.

Hindu Front For Justice, a Lucknow-based group working “for providing justice to Hindus” has also opposed Valentine Day celebrations on February 14 saying it has no relevance nor does it suit the Hindu way of life.

“As per the shastra (scriptures), Basant Panchami is the Hindu equivalent to Valentine’s Day but we celebrate it with dignity and as per the Hindu dharma and customs,” Hari Shankar Jain of the Front said.

Hindu Mahasabha leader Kaushik sees in the hype around Valentine’s Day an influence of consumerism and role of oreign and multi-national business establishments to reap financial gains even from the pockets of Indian youth .

Each year on February 14, many people exchange cards, candies, gifts or flowers with their special ‘valentine’ on the special day and visit hotels, restaurants and malls to celebrate the occasion.

In BelgaviKarnataka,  Hindu organizations held joint press conference against Valentine’s Day.  In SangliMaharashtra, the Hindu organisations submitted representation against Valentine’s Day to the Dy. District Collector.

In MumbaiYoga Vedanta Samiti organizes a large ‘Matru-Pitru Din’ where  HJS is to participate with full force.

A strong conflict due to  V-Day celebration on 14th Feb may be seen  between debouched day observers in one side and Sri Ram Sene, Hindu Maha Sabha and Bajrang Dal supporters as opponents in Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Haryana, Karnataka, Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh.  The other organisations like Yog-Vedanta Samiti, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti, Bharat Swabhiman Trust etc. planned to organize seminars, door-to-door contacts, students awareness building and mass ‘Parent Worship’ programmes in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh and West Bengal.

News reach to our desk that the overseas disciples of Sant Asaram Bapu will observe Parents Worship day in some cities in Europe and America and they have already rejected the concept of western V-Day celebration.

Divine Home-Divine Village: Plant Tulsi in every Hindu home, make Panchavati in all Hindu villages.

Posted by hinduexistence on February 12, 2015

Tulsi-Panchavati-Divine-Project

Divine Home- Divine Village Programme of VHP in its Golden Jubilee Year. VHP plans to plant Tulsi in every Hindu home and make Panchavati in every Hindu village.

PTI | Lucknow | 9 February 2015:: On the lines of the mythological “Panchvati” garden mentioned in Ramayana, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad has decided to plant five trees in every village in the country and gift “Tulsi” saplings, considered sacred among Hindus, to every household of the community.

“With the concept of an ideal home, VHP will carry out a programme between June and July during which it will donate a Tulsi plant to every Hindu house besides developing ‘Panchvati’ in every village,” VHP spokesman Sharad Sharma said on Monday.

Sharma said the programme would be carried out across the country ahead of monsoon so that the trees get ample water to grow.

“The seers are of the opinion that Hindu society must give prominence to its religious belief and tradition. Therefore, five plants should be planted in every village and every house must have a Tulsi plant,” he said.

Besides Tulsi, the five other plants that the VHP intends to plant include Banyan, Peepal, Gular, Pakad and Ashok.

[But according to a divine design Hindu Existence Forum already started to grow saplings of Ashathwa  (Peepal Tree) Ficus religiosa, Bilwa (Wood Apple Tree) Aegle marmelos, Vata (Banyan Tree) Ficus benghalensis, Ashoka (Ashoka Tree) Saraca asoca  and Amlaki (Amla Tree) Phyllanthus emblica including Tulsi (Ocimum sanctum) saplings in its own horticulture centers. ~ Editor, Hindu Existence].

“This will not only benefit environment, but is also in consonance with our religious beliefs. Besides, it is a good way for the organisation to reach out to every village” he said, adding that all these plants have been mentioned in the mythological epic Ramayana.

Sharma also stated that before this programme a ‘Ram Mahotsava’ would be organised across the country by the VHP.

The VHP had already decided to organise, for the first time, a ‘Ram Mahotsava’, on the lines of Durga Puja, to “mobilise Hindus” for construction of a Ram temple.

“We will celebrate Ram Mahotsava from 21 March or 22 March and it will continue till 1 April. This will be for the first time that such an event is being organised by the organisation,” Sharma, the VHP media incharge, said on Monday.

This programme would be organised in every village in the country to make the society aware of Lord Ram, he said.

He said Hindus have already been asked to take a resolve for construction of the temple, “But for the completion of that resolve they will be asked to take the pledge once again”.

“We plan to reach 1.5 lakh to 2 lakh villages across the country. In Uttar Pradesh and Uttrakhand, we will make efforts to reach each and every village,” he said.

The VHP media incharge said the organisation has also planned 600 ‘Hindu Sammelans’ across the country.

Gharwapsi (Homecoming) is becoming popular among converts. VHP plans 50 lakh re-conversion per year.

First ‘ghar wapsi’ in Tamil Nadu, 18 Dalit Christians ‘re-converted’

Arun Janardhanan | Chennai | January 31, 2015:: At least 18 Dalit Christians including seven schoolchildren – three girls and four boys – were “re-converted” to Hinduism at a ceremony at Sankara Mutt, a private temple at T Nagar in Chennai on Friday. A “ghar wapsi” event in Tamil Nadu was held on Friday morning and was organised by the Hindu Makkal Katchi, a Hindu political party founded in 1993, despite efforts by the police to prevent it.

Arjun Sampth, a 49-year-old cable TV operator and leader of the Hindu Makkal Katchi, said this is the first ever “ghar wapsi” in Tamil Nadu. “We had planned to convert 108 people but due to trouble created by the police, only few of them could reach the temple on time,” he said. Sampath has been put on house arrest by the police. “We had affidavits of 162 people and planned the rituals at Parthasarathy temple at Triplicane. Since it is controlled by the government, the police denied permission. We changed the venue to Sankara Mutt owned by Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam,” he said.

Arjun_Sampath_Hindu_Makkal_Katchi

Alleging that a senior police officer had illegally tried to stop the “re-conversions”, Sampath said they will continue “re-conversions” in the coming weeks and months. “We have 18,000 volunteers in the state. Our people are already working in rural areas to find more people willing to embrace Hinduism. By 2017, at least one lakh people will be re-converted,” he said, adding that 2017 is the millennium year of birth of Acharya Sri Ramanuja, a Hindu philosopher who lived in Tamil Nadu.

Most of the people “re-converted” to Hinduism on Friday were coolies and fishermen from Minjur, Pattinapakkam and Tiruvallur in the city suburbs and Saidapet, a locality in the city with a large slum population. Sampath said that the RSS and the BJP are not directly involved in “re-conversions” as it would affect the image of the Prime Minister. While the first stage of “ghar wapsi” rituals were completed in 10 minutes, at 10.30 am all of them were taken to the inner chamber of the temple where they underwent pujas that lasted for more than 30 minutes, an organiser said.

Why Gharwapsi (Homecoming) is becoming popular among converts?

GSK Menon in Haindavakeralam.

Conversions are a special feature of two desert religions – Christianity and Islam. For centuries they have been killing and slaughtering innocent people of all nationalities. India has been facing aggravated conversion onslaught for centuries. Rape, abduction, killings in the name of desert  godmen are a common feature in Indian history. Barbaric Islamic warriors have perpetrated worst and dastardly crimes against Hindus, Sikhs, Buddhists and Jains for hundreds of centuries.

Christianity came to India effectively with the arrival of the Portugese barbarians (Story of St.Thomas is a fiction propagated by cunning Kerala missionaries to erase the ignominious GOAN INQUISITION, which saw the worst kind of atrocities on Hindus and Jains. The present day Christians on the West Coast are all products of forced conversions.

With the advent of the British, French, Dutch conversions began by inducements, fraud and plain cheating. British cantonments became breeding grounds for illegitimate children who were inducted into Christianity. Similarly areas around Tea Estates, Coffee Estates,  hill stations all became cesspools of conversion of illegitimate children.

Why are the descendants of these converts getting attracted to Hinduism and are willing to undergo Gharwapasi ?

The present generation of Christians have become aware that everything in their religion is stolen from other religions, Christmas is Saturnine Day, Santa Claus was a custom of the Scandinavian countries, theme of virgin birth was common among the desert tribes of West Asia. In India, the theme of pilfering from Hinduism is an ongoing feature. Names of Hindu Gods & Goddesses like Amala, Vimala, Nirmala, Prabhu, Parameshwar, Sat Chit Ananda are freely stolen. Imitations of Vishnu Sahasranamam and other popular Hindu Bhajans are a daily feature. The Hindu Nilavilakku, Temple features like Kodimaram are all being blindly copied.

The advent of Internet has brought to light the biggest insult that the human race has to put up with. “ALL NON-JEWS ARE DOGS” this is the famous saying of the self styled Jewish godman, whom these converts are trying to propagate as the saviour of mankind. The converts have realised that they have been tricked, duped and cheated into believing a Jew and a misogynist. Why blame, if the converts want to rectify the mistake, and return to their ancestral religion ?

Who are the paid puppets of Times Now, Headlines Today and CNN IBN to shout that there should be no reconversion ? These Baptist controlled TV channels are creating a ruckus by interviewing stupid Hindus about reconversions. If somebody can convert, there is a chance that the converted can again convert to another religion. A Hindu who was converted to Christianity, can also convert to Islam, and those converted to Islam can also opt for Christianity. Who are these TV paid puppets to shout that reconversions cannot be allowed ?

Many of them are converts hiding behind Hindu names and deriding Hinduism after taking money from their Baptist masters. Why these TV paid puppets are not addressing the naked imitations as the real root reason for reconversions. Who wants a fake and imitation product, when the real one is available ?

I PROCLAIM THAT EVERY CONVERT HAS AN INALIENABLE RIGHT TO RECONVERT AT ANY POINT OF TIME TO HINDUISM.

Where were these TV paid puppets when an entire tribe was airlifted from the North East on the false premise that they belonged to the mythological Lost Tribes of Israel. The UPA government quietly permitted an entire tribe to be displaced from the North East of India. Such a shameful mass aerial abduction of any community has never happened in the history of mankind. I appeal to the NDA Government to order a full scale judicial probe into this nonsensical act. Let us see what these EnglisH TV jokers have to tell.

Will reconvert 50 lakh people to Hinduism, India will remain a Hindu Rashtra: Togadia

mExpress News Service | Rampurhat | January 29, 2015:: VHP’s international working president Praveen Togadia Wednesday said in the next 10 years, at least 50 lakh people would be “reconverted to Hinduism and this country would remain a Hindu rashtra”. He was addressing the second Virat Hindu Sammelan here, in Birbhum district of West Bengal. The district shares border with Jharkhand and is a tribal-dominated area where Christian missionaries are active. “Had there been no conversion, nobody would have ever heard of Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and Imam Bukhari. Had there been no conversion, there would have been no need for ghar wapsi,” said Togadia. “India would not have been divided, if there was no conversion. Pakistan and Bangladesh would not have come to existence too. My message to those, who are criticising ghar wapsi — Bring anti-conversion bill, we will support,” he said.

HT & One India Reporters | Rampurhat & Kolkata | 29 January 2015:: In perhaps the biggest ghar wapsi exercise in the state, about 150 tribals were converted at Khoramdanga village in Birbhum district on Wednesday. The ruling party threatened action if coercion, or force, was detected in the process. Central Viswa Hindu Parishad (VHP) leaders including Praveen Togadia were present at a rally held in the area.

According to locals, 98% of the residents of the village, close to the Jharkhand border, were Christians and on Wednesday, all of them were converted.

“Almost 15 to 20 years ago, our forefathers converted to Christianity. Now, we have converted back to Hinduism,” said Bani Murmu and Srimoti Tudu.

VHP district coordinator Churka Tudu said, “This was not a conversion but a home coming ceremony.”

“A programme was today organised at a village near Rampurhat. It was attended by about 1,000 people including Christians, Hindus and Muslims. During the programme, a ‘yajna’ – a ritual of fire – was held and about 150 Christians participated in it and took a pledge to follow Hindu path of life,” state VHP leader Sachindranath Singha said.

The news triggered a barrage of criticism. “Bengal has a history of living in communal harmony and bigots like Togadia will be dealt with ruthlessly,” tweeted Trinamool Congress spokesperson Derek O’Brien.

“A rally was organised for the protection, socio-economic development of Hindus in Birbhum. About 15,000 people turned up at the rally,” said VHP international president Praveen Togadia.

“It is unfortunate that the BJP and VHP are politicising religion. They are misguiding the naïve tribals,” said Anubrata Mondal, Trinamool Congress district president.

CPI(M) district secretary Ram Chandra Dome also condemned the incident and said, “It is against our Constitution.”

Asked about the conversion, VHP President Praveen Togadia who addressed a rally at Rampurhat on Wednesday, said, “If someone wanted to become a Hindu. How can we stop it?” “We have announced various schemes to help each and every Hindu family from arranging employment to providing education to Hindu children,” he said.

Addressing the rally, Togadia said the state government should undertake a time-bound programme to deport illegal Bangladeshi Muslims “else Bengal would soon become greater Bangladesh”.

“We didn’t force anyone to change their religion. This is not conversion as projected by the media as no legal procedure was followed which is needed for conversion,” he said, adding that the programme was attended by VHP National Secretary Jugal Kishore.

When contacted, Birbhum Superintendent of Police Alok Rajoria said he was not aware of any such incident as no complaint had been filed in this regard.

Trinamool Rajya Sabha MP and party spokesperson Derek O’Brien expressed concern over the alleged conversion. “Initial reports suggest those converted at the VHP rally are BJP workers who were lured. Let me say this that if there is a hint of coercion or forcible conversion the matter will be dealt with seriously,” he said, adding that the government has already started an inquiry. [end].

WITHIN ONE MONTH

Some Hindu Organisations have taken very seriously the coinage like ‘bigots’ and ‘will be dealt with ruthlessly’ by RS MP Derek O’Brien (TMC) against Dr Praveen Togadia in twitter. If he does not beg apology within three days, some Hindu Forums in Delhi are ready to teach a lesson to ‘bigot Brien’ and he ‘will be dealt with ruthlessly’ by Delhi public.  [this blockquote is not a part of this report.]

Calcutta High Court orders to maintain religious rights of Saraswati Puja in Basant panchami in Murshidabad schools and puts investigation for daily Namaj there.

Posted by hinduexistence on January 24, 2015

Talibani Muslims want Namaj in Schools, but prevent Saraswati Puja there. Severe religious persecution on Hindus is a grave concern in Murshidabad.

Ensure Saraswati Puja in Schools in Basant Panchami and Religious Practices for Hindus in Murshidabad: Calcutta High Court.

Calcutta High Court on Saraswati PujaUpananda Brahmachari |  Kolkata | 23 January 2015:: Hon’ble Calcutta High Court had to pass its orders in consecutively on 20.01.2015 and 22.01.2015 to protect the traditional and religious rights of Hindus to worship Mother Saraswati, the Goddess of Knowledge, Learning and Fine Arts. Muslim fundamentalists in Murshidabad district have been putting pressures for stopping  Hindu rituals including Saraswati Puja in Basant Panchami in school premises. In this context, Senior advocate of Calcutta, Sri Rama Prasad Sarkar  filed a public interest litigation in the Calcutta High Court.

On the basis of a newspaper reporting (Bartaman dt. 10/12/2014) the learned lawyer Sri Rama Prasad Sarkar filed the  public interest petition [W.P. 1516 (W) of 2015] in the Calcutta High Court for violation of Article 25, 26, 27 and Article 28, in cases of persecuted and deprived Hindus loosing their religious rights in the district of Murshidabad in Indian State of West Bengal while India is a secular country.

As per report Murshidabad district is facing a severe demographic change due to huge Muslim infiltration from neighboring Islamic Bangladesh and fanatical Islamic groups are controlling the politics ans society through Mosques and Madrasas along with the border areas and inside the border areas too.  Lots of organisations of Islamic fundamentalists are showing their muscle and arms power to stop the Hindu rituals etc. for the minority Hindus in the district. As per the news reporting,  the fundamentalists in Murshidabad are somehow managing a Taliban like rule to stop blowing of conch (sankh) in evening, decorating Hindu houses with Alpana (drawing ritualistic design on floor and wall with water and rice paste) including observation of Lakshmi Puja and Saraswati Puja. Muslim majority Managing  Committees in many Schools have objected and prevented Saraswati Puja in  schools premises in the district of Murshidabad as the report flashed the truth.  Even the Talibans of Murshidabad are threatening to kill the minority Hindus if the Islamic fatwas of  ‘STOP HINDU WORSHIP’ are not to maintain anyway.

Advocate Sarkar appeared in person in the Court of Chief Justice Hon’ble Smt Majula Chellur with the plea that here in India one can practice his religion as he/she likes. Then why the Taliban regime in Murshidabad district is depriving the religious rights of Hindus in many ways? What is the role of the State and District administration to restore the rights of the deprived Hindus there? He indicates  the administrative and police failure to uphold the constitutional provisions  to protect the rights of Hindus?

Murshidabad has Muslim population at more than 65 percent far outnumbering Hindus at 35 percent and below .

Initially the Calcutta High Court accepted the case. The Bench of Chief Justice Mrs. Manjula Chellur and Mr. Joymalya Bagchi (J) disposed the matter through passing a order, “Though we appreciate the concern and the anxiety entertained by the petitioner in the present writ petition, we fail to understand why the institution concerned at Murshidabad is not seeking any such protection either from the police or from this Court by filing a complaint or application respectively. It is needless to say that every citizen of this country has freedom to follow the religion he chooses to follow and all the rituals connected to such ceremonies. If anyone intends to curtail one’s faith and freedom of conscience to follow a particular religion, definitely the Court has to step in and protect such right of the individual.   …..

However, we make it clear that the respondent authorities have constitutional obligation to take into consideration the situation and protect the right to freedom of a particular religion if any complaint is made in this regard by the institution concerned.”

As such the Murshidabad district authorities are put in a pressure to see the cases of deprivation in performing any  Saraswati Puja as such by the Hindu population in public or Hindu students in school and educational institutions.

Chief Justice on Saraswati Puja Dipankar Dutta J on Saraswati Puja Vs Namaj

In another case [W.P. 411 (W) of 2015] in the Calcutta High Court, it is revealed that Muslims want to rights of Namaj (offering prayer) in the school premise while objecting Saraswati Puja once in a year in the school.

In a land mark order Hon’ble Justice Dipankar Datta passes an order in W.P. 411 (W) of 2015 on 22.01.2015 that, “Having regard to the documents, it is difficult to come to a prima facie finding at this stage that the practice of students being allowed to offer ‘namaj’ during school-hours and within the school premises has been continuing for long.

In view thereof, I am afraid no interim protection can be granted to the petitioner.

Since it has been ascertained from Ms. Hasin, learned advocate for the petitioner that he is not against holding of  ‘Saraswati Puja’, I hold that the school shall be entitled to observe ‘Saraswati Puja’ on 24th /25th January, 2015. Insofar as the resolution of the dispute raised by the  petitioner is concerned, I am of the view that affidavit ought to be invited not only from the Headmaster of the school but also from the State Government.”

It has no difficulties to understand from above, what is the real situation of Hindus where they are minorities in Bengal (not only Bengal, the situation of minority Hindus are same in the Muslim majority areas in all over India). No main stream media or the politicos come forward to help the Hindus in some perilous Islamic hell in Bengal. This ‘School Jihad’, i.e. stopping Hindu celebrations in school and allowing Namaj in schools at the same time is rampantly growing in all Muslim majority areas in West Bengal as authenticated reports reached to Hindu existence Forum.

Post Script: Hindu Existence Forum is dedicated to surface all such Hindu persecution in this land and want to strengthen the struggle of Hindus in Bengal and Bharat for their dignity and rights. Any Help/donation is most Welcome.

The Only Hindu Temple of Lord Shiva Rebuilt By a British Couple With Devotion.

Posted by hinduexistence on January 18, 2015

Baijnath Dham, Agar-Malwa, MP.

Baijnath Mahadev, Agar Malwa (MP): The Only Hindu Temple of Lord Shiva Built (Renovated) By a British Couple.

SPM_A0281Ragini Singh | HENB | Malwa | 17 January 2015:: The British ruled Indian subcontinent for hundreds of years, and built many churches and cathedrals. But in the 1880s, a Shiva temple in Agar Malwa, Madhya Pradesh, was renovated and almost rebuilt by Lt. Col. Martin as per the wish o her wife — the only Shiva temple ever made by an Englishman in India.

In 1879, when there was British were ruling in India, Lt. Col. Martin of Agar Malwa was leading the British army in the war against Afghanistan.

Col. Martin used to regularly send messages of his well-being to his wife. The war continued for long & Lady Martin stopped getting messages. She was very upset in the vicinity of Malwa far away from Kabul or Afghanistan.

Once riding on her horse, she was to pass by the temple of Baijnath Mahadev. She was quite attracted to the sound of Conch & Mantra. She went inside the Temple and came to know that the Brahmanas were worshipping Lord Shiva. They saw her sad face and asked her problem. She explained everything to them. They told her that Lord Shiva listens to the prayers of devotees and takes them out of difficult situations in no time. With the advice of the Brahmanas she started the “Laghurudri Anushtthan” of the Mantra: “Om Namah Shivaya” for 11 days. She prayed to Lord Shiva that if her husband reaches home safely, then she would get the temple renovated.

On the last of the “Laghurudri” a messenger came and gave a letter to her. Her husband had written: “I was regularly sending messages to you from the battle grounds but suddenly the Pathan Muslims surrounded us from all sides. We were entrapped in a situation where there was no scope of escaping death. Suddenly, I saw a Yogi of India with long hair, carrying a Trident (weapon with three pointers- Trishul). His personality was amazing and he was manoeuvring his weapon with a magnificent style. Seeing this great man, the Pathans started running back. With his grace our bad times turned into moments of victory. This was possible only because of that man of India wearing a lion skin & carrying a three-pointer weapon. That great Yogi told me that I should not worry and that he had come to rescue me because he was very pleased with my wife’s prayers.”

Tears of joy were falling down to the eyes of Lady Martin while reading the letter. Her heart was overwhelmed with joy and reverence. She fell beneath the stone symbol (Lingam) of Lord Shiva and burst in tears.

After a few weeks Col. Martin returned. Lady Martin narrated the whole incident to him. Now both husband & wife became devotees of Lord Shiva. In 1883 they donated Rs. 15,000 for renovating the temple. The information engraved slab for the same is still there in the Baijnath Mahadev Temple of Agar Malwa. This is the only Hindu temple built by the British.

When Lady Martin  sailed for England with Col Martin, she said that they would make a Shiva Temple at their home and pray to Him till the end of life. The later life of Martins in England are not know to us!

The local Govt and the Shri Baijnath Mahadev Pravandh Samiti are managing all the pilgrimage activities related to Baijnath Dham, Agar-Malwa, including health-hygiene, daily prasadm, dormitory guests house etc in a commendable way.

The Baijnath Pashu (cattle) Mela of Agar-Mlawa on the month of Chaitra and Kartik months are quite famous. Thousand of pilgrims use to converge here in every Purnima, Mondays of Shravan month and on also in Shiva Ratri. The last Monday of Shravan month is celebrated as the annual function of “Shiv Swari”. Lakhs of devotees  come here to participate in this rally of Baba Baijanath Ji in Agar- Malwa.

Posted by hinduexistence on December 20, 2014

VHP Virat Hindu Sammelan - Kolkata - 20 Dec 2014..

Clarion Call for Hindu Rashtra from the Big VHP Golden Jubilee Rally in Kolkata.

IF YOU’RE AGAINST FORCED CONVERSIONS, MAKE LAWS: MOHAN BHAGWAT.

Hindus are ready to take all the challenges to save their Motherland at any cost : Dr Pravin Togadia.

Dr TogadiaUpananda Brahmachari | HENB | Kolkata | 20 Dec 2014:: The West Bengal Unit of Vishwa Hindu Parishad organised a ‘Virat Hindu Sammelan’ at Sahid Minar ground of Kolkata on 20 Dec 2014 on its national programme for its 50th Foundation celebrations. In a full packed programme over 1 lakh Hindus were present to protest Jihad fundamentalism in Bengal and demanded the Rights of Bengali Hindus being challenged by the Ruling party’s (TMC) Islamic appeasement.

Dr. Togadiya said that Hindus have taken the vow to stop all subversive activities of any party including TMC and Hindus will save the Motherland. Hindus are not dependent upon any political party but they will win the war. Hindus will not sell cows and stop the cow slaughter. They will detect the illegal infiltrators and drive them away. They will take the way of Swadeshi and Swavlamvan (self dependence) and enrich the country’s finance and rural industries. In this decade of Hindutva, Hindus will be more powerful and make this country as a real Hindu Rashtra (Hindu Nation-State).

Dr Togadia has emphatically mentioned that Bengali Hindu will uproot the Jihadi Culture of Bengal at any cost very soon. In his speech Dr Togadia touched the sensational issues like Christian conspiracy for conversion, Love Jihad, Bangladeshi Muslim infiltration and enactment of common civil code in Bharat. He also also warned the various anti Hindu elements who are torturing Hindu minorities in neighbouring countries and anywhere in this world.

Dr Mohan Bhagwat of RSS, Sri Ashok Ji Shinghal and other prominent Hindu leaders and Saints are also present in the today’s mighty confluence of Sahid Minar Ground, Kolkata. Saints of Bharat Sevashram Sangha, Ramakrishna order, Vaishnavaites and Sikhs were present in the big dais for bestowing their blessings to the Hindu activists under the banner of VHP.

Dr Mohan Bhagwat and Dr Pravin Togadia are seen alongwith other Saints in Kolkata Virat Hindu Sammelan at Shahid Minar on 20.12.2014.

In a very disciplined and well organised meeting the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Cheif, Dr Mohan Bhagwat stressed upon the unity of Hindus in this crucial point of time under the thrust of communal and political excesses when malfunctioning of Bengal scenario is felt very badly.

Expressing his support for the anti-conversion bill to be proposed by the Central Govt, Bhagwat asked Opposition parties to facilitate bringing law in Parliament, if they did not like conversion. Dairing all political rivals, he says ‘ghar wapsi’ will continue to welcome all Hindus once converted into Islam or Christianity under religious repressions or any unfortunate situations.

The Sangha Chief proclaimed that Bharat will be declared as a Hindu Rashtra before loosing the the youth of the present generation.

Shri Ashok Singhal, the living legendary  of  Rama Janmabhoomi Movement could not be present in the meeting but sent a message describing that ‘all the hurdles of constructing a magnificent Shri Ram Temple in Ayodhya will be vanished very soon under the blessings of Lord Sri Ram. But, for that golden moment of Hindu History, Hindus must work with full devotion as Shri Hanumanji did for Prabhu Ram’.

Four big rallies reached from 4 different parts of the ‘City of Joy’ covering the points of Sealdah, Howrah, Ganja Park (South Kolkata) and Shyambazar (North Kolkata). Saffronizing the so called ‘Secular’ texture of Kolkata, the ‘Hindutva-vadis’ of Bengal came together in the capital city of Bengal to show their solidarity for a pure Hindu cause.

Dr Sachin Singha, the chief area co-ordinator of VHP, Bengal unit thanked all Hindus concerned for their whole hearted participation in this events for its grand success.

Express News Services | Mumbai | 15 Dec 2014:: Notwithstanding mass “ghar wapsi” events by saffron groups in Uttar Pradesh, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) leaders on Sunday pressed for an anti-conversion law, accusing Christians and Muslims of wooing Hindus towards their religions.

“At a point of time, the entire world was Hindu. There were 700 crore Hindus, and now there are just 100 crore. Currently, there are 82 per cent Hindus in this country. If we don’t create awareness and take steps now, in a few decades this number will drop to 46 per cent. If conversions are wrong, then why is the government not passing an anti-conversion law?” asked senior VHP leader Praveen Togadia addressing Virat Hindu Sammelan here.

Another VHP leader Narendra Maharaj from Ratnagiri said the Hindu society is tolerant and does not indulge in religious conversions, but it is the Christians and the Muslims who convert people.

The function, held at MMRDA grounds in Bandra Kurla Complex, was organised to mark the 50th year of the VHP. According to leaders of the saffron outfit, around one lakh supporters attended the event. Besides Hindu religious leaders, VHP and RSS supporters, the event was also attended by those belonging to the Jain and the Buddhist communities.

Emphasising the need to create awareness to stop conversions, Jain Muni Vinamra Sagar said, “Hindus who embraced other religious should undergo reconversions.”

Earlier, the All India Muslim Personal Law Board had accused the VHP and other Hindu outfits of luring poor Muslims for conversion in view of a Hindu outfit |planning a mass “ghar wapsi” event on December 25 in Aligarh.

Earlier in Agra, there were reports of Hindu groups forcibly converting people. The issue had led to an uproar in Parliament.

Around a dozen senior leaders from the VHP, the RSS and sister outfits addressed the event and raised issues such as religious conversions, cow slaughter, unity among Hindus, Ram Janmabhoomi row and love jihad.

Speaking on love jihad, Bhopal’s Sadhvi Saraswati said Hindu girls are misguided and married into families belonging to other religions so that they can be converted.

Omar Rashid | The Hindu | Mumbai | 15 Dec 2014:: Criticising the Samajwadi Party government’s opposition to the “ghar vapsi” programmes planned in western Uttar Pradesh, senior Vishwa Hindu Parishad leader Pravin Togadia on Sunday dared the party to lend its support to an anti-conversion law if it really thought conversion was “wrong.”

Mr. Togadia also reiterated the VHP demand for a Ram Temple at Ayodhya, contending that the temple would be “constructed irrespective of anyone’s like or dislike.”

“If conversion is wrong, then, [SP chief] Mulayam Singh, why don’t you come up in Parliament and support a law against conversion… We won’t allow Hindus to be converted. We will protect them,” he said.

Addressing a massive Viraat Hindu Sammelan to commemorate 50 years of the VHP’s existence, Mr. Togadia claimed the ancestors of all Muslims and Christians living in India were Hindus.

“Until Ram mandir is constructed, Hindus will have no honour in India. Ram Mandir will come up whether someone likes it or not,” said Mr. Togadia from a stage adorned by a massive banner of Lord Ram and the proposed Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir.

Several speakers at the event spoke against conversion while propagating the need for Ghar Vapasi to “save” Hindu culture.

There were also sharp references to “love jihad” and “nari sammaan [honour of women]” with warnings to Hindu families to protect their “daughters” from the lure of Muslim boys or face an existential threat. “If we aren’t cautious, soon Hindus will be outnumbered in India,” Mr. Togadia said.

“You take one Hindu girl with love jihad. But remember she is not the daughter of one Hindu. She is the daughter of 100 crore Hindus. The VHP will protect Hindu daughters,” he said.

RSS joint secretary Dattatreya Hosbale and VHP leader Ashok Singhal were among those present.

Hindutva group seeks donations for Aligarh ‘conversion camp’

Undated pamphlets of Dharam Jagaran Samiti seeks a donation of Rs. 5 lakh for converting a Muslim and Rs. 2 lakh for the “ghar vapsi” of a Christian.

Dharma Jagaran SamitiMohammad Ali | The Hindu | Meerut | December 12, 2014:: Ahead of its plans to organise the “biggest ever conversion camp” in Aligarh on December 25, Dharam Jagaran Samiti, a western U.P.-based Hindutva group, on Thursday sought donations to organise the camp.

The undated letters and pamphlets, addressed by Rajeshwar Singh who claimed that conversion is a “costly” affair, have found their way to people’s homes in Aligarh.

The letter seeks a donation of Rs. 5 lakh for converting a Muslim and Rs. 2 lakh for the “ghar vapsi” of a Christian.

Ghar vapsi is a costly affair because there are lots of expenses involved. The money comes from society and people indeed give money for the purpose. But when it’s done at a large scale, then more and more volunteers will have to be deployed to raise fund and organise camps,” Mr. Singh said in the letter.

” About Rs. 5 lakh is spent on the Ghar vapsi of a Muslim and Rs. 2 lakh for that of a Christian, when a volunteer works for the purpose in a year. That is why I request you to donate money and bear expenses of at least one programme,” he requested in the letter.

In an effort to establish his credentials, Mr. Singh also claimed that about 40,000 people, including 2000 Muslims in 20 districts of western UP, have been brought under the fold of Hinduism through his ‘ghar vapsi’ camps. The target is to convert one lakh people, the letter claimed.

Meanwhile, a non bailable warrant was issued by an Agra court against Kishor Valmiki, the main accused in the alleged conversion case in Agra.  [Courtesy: The Hindu].
