VHP begins door-to-door campaign ahead of Ram Mandir inauguration.

Nationwide Akshat distribution door-to-door campaign of Vishwa Hindu Parishad starts today. 

Upendra Bharti | HENB | New Delhi | Jan 1, 2024:: The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) on Monday launched a door-to-door akshat (prasad) distribution campaign nationwide which will continue till January 15. The Hindu group revealed that the 15-day campaign has been scheduled ahead of the inauguration of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, on January 22.

In Delhi, VHP spokesperson Vinod Bansal took part in such Akshat distribution programme held in an Arya Samaj Mandir in Delhi. The programme was started with the Havan (Sacrifice to Fire God), with the chantings of  Vedic hymns.

VHP National Spokesperson Vinod Bansal asked people to pray at their local temples on January 22 and take part in the consecration ceremony in Ayodhya through live-streaming.

“For one day, think of the temple at your house as Ram Mandir and then come to visit the temple later,” he added.

Though, overall, 7,500 people have been formally invited to join the inauguration of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya on January 22, crores of devotees will reach Ayodhya to have a darshan of Ram Lalla phase by phase as programmed by VHP in next consecutive months up to March 2024.

As the the holy ‘Akshat’ from Ayodhya has been reached to every states by special arrangements, the Akshat distribution programme as a ‘mark of invitation from Ayodhya’ now begun from today from Kashmir to Kanyakumari, Assam to Gujarat.

Reports came in the tune that the Akshat Distribution programme is in the full swing even in the furthest corner of West Bengal rural areas.

There is a huge response reported from Kulpi in Sundarban Police District area in South 24 Parganas of West Bengal.

The activists of VHP are distributing many types of stickers of Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra (Trust), picture of Ram Temple, a message (leaflet) of Trust and the holy ‘akshat’ to the public as an awareness programme for Newly Built Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya.

The Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and other Hindu frontal organisations have pressed into service over thousands of  workers to distribute pujit akshat (unbroken rice used in puja), patrak (invitation), pataka (pennant) and photo of Ram temple in Hindu households in Sangam city (Prayag Raj) and in 22,000 villages around it from Monday till January 15, as reported by TOI.
