Jai Sri Ram

Greetings of Sri Ram Navmi to all.

Ramraksha stotra: Not just a divine chant.

Barkha Mathur | Nagpur | TNN | Apr 19, 2013:: The nine days of ChaitraNavratri, from GudiPadwa till Ram Navami, are filled with chants of Ramrakshastotra. The same can be heard at temples, homes and in groups, as people come together for collective recitals.

Considered to be one of the most sacred chants, it has tremendous powers to protect a devout from evil, says Prafulla Nandangiri, secretary of Bhonsla Ved Shala in Mahal. “There are a total of 38 shlokas, of which some like the 35th one is ‘siddha’. Reciting it can provide mental strength to a person, by making him feel fearless,” he says. This is a siddha stotra for complete protection of body and when read 1,300 times, it can destroy all dangers that a person may be facing, says Nandangiri.

“Ramraksha is also considered to be good for a newborn child and the new mother, and is read out while tying the black thread around the neck of an infant,” he says, adding that there are different rhythms for reciting it.

“The stotra focuses on all parts of the body and invokes Lord Ram to protect them. So, it is recited for children and also for those afflicted with some disease,” explains Kapil Chandrayan, a student of astrology. For best results, it should be read in Sanskrit for the vibrations that emanate through chanting of these sacred mantras, suggests Chandrayan.

Recitals of Ramraksha stotra are considered good during Chaitra Navratri as at this time god is present with all his powers in the sanctum sanctorum of temples, says Prasad Joshi, who is studying scriptures. “I recite the Ramraksha stotra as it helps me to master incantation of different chants. It has been written with anushtup chan as its poetic meter, which is a four-part mantra with 32 letters in one stanza. During these nine days, reading and reciting these sacred mantras is very effective.” <Read details here.>

Save Rama Sethu at any cost and drive away disastrous demons from Bharat right now.

SHRI RAMA SETHU: GLOBAL INQUIRY CONFIRMS SETHU PLAN DISASTROUS.

Ram Sethu Banchao

Kumar Chellappan | CHENNAI | The Daily Pioneer | 04 April 2013 ::  DMK chief M Karunanidhi’s dream project, the Sethusamudram Shipping Channel Project, is set to hit international headlines, for all the wrong reasons.

In what could be a major embarrassment to the UPA Government, a high-level team of marine scientists, environmentalists, geologists and marine engineers, appointed by Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa, has found that the Sethusamudram Shipping Channel Project (SSCP) is detrimental to the maritime and environmental resources of the island nation.

The experts were shocked to learn that India, which swears by Panchsheel principles and firmly believes in non-interference in the affairs of other countries, has blatantly violated all global norms like the International Law of Seas and MARPOL Convention, in conceiving the project.

In a report submitted to the Sri Lankan Government, the high-powered team has expressed dismay that though the 167-km long channel lies close to the International Maritime Boundary Line (IMBL) between India and Sri Lanka, the Indian Government has not taken into account the environmental and maritime impact the project could have on Sri Lanka.

As per the International Law of Seas accepted by the United Nations in 1968, India should have sought the concurrence of Sri Lanka before launching the project.

“The Sethusamudram Channel lies close to the IMBL between India and Sri Lanka. Both countries should get the concurrence of each other for any construction activities which fall near the IMBL. India has violated this age-old practice and Sri Lanka will definitely take up this issue,” a source close to the Sri Lankan Government told The Pioneer.

He said Sri Lankan leaders, irrespective of party affiliations, were upset over the indifference shown by the UPA Government towards the island nation while taking up the SSCP.

“You can expect a strongly worded statement by the Sri Lankan Government any time now. The Sethusamudram Project in all likelihood will end up in the United Nations,”said the source.

The MARPOL Convention (International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from ships) is a marine environmental convention designed to minimize pollution of the seas including dumping, oil spillage and exhaust pollution.

It was formed on October 2, 1983 (as a mark of respect to Mahatma Gandhi) and as of  December 2005, 136 countries, representing 98 per cent of the world’s shipping tonnage, are parties to the Convention. It has been accepted all over the world that the Gulf of Mannar as well as the Palk Bay are ecological hot spots and nothing should be done to disturb their present status.

The scientific team appointed by Sri Lanka found that the initial dredging, infinite maintenance dredging and subsequent shipping through the channel would be disastrous to Sri Lanka.

Ariyaratne Hewage, secretary, Sri Lankan Education Ministry, was the chairman of the committee while Professor Shantha Hennayake, a geologist of international repute and deputy vice-chancellor of the University of Peradeniya, was the vice-chairman .

The recommendations submitted by the committee to the Sri Lankan Government ( a copy of the executive summary is with The Pioneer) has noted that though the region through which the channel is being built was an ecologically and environmentally fragile area, no action has been taken by the Indian Government to minimize the environmental and maritime impact it could have on Sri Lanka.

Sri Lankan experts have noted that the studies, primarily the project document and the Environmental Impact Analysis (EIA) study carried out by India, prior to the commencement of the SSCP, are inadequate for a number of reasons. “These studies have not identified and evaluated the full extent of the impact. The channel design has not been optimized for minimum impact. The most pressing concern for Sri Lanka is that none of the Indian studies have proposed any mitigation measures for the impact occurring on Sri Lanka,” Prof Hennayake told The Pioneer over telephone from Colombo.

He said Sri Lanka has nothing against India building any channels or canals, as long as they do not disturb the ecological and environmental balance of the region.

“However, this is a project which is detrimental to both India and Sri Lanka. Any dredging work along the placid waters of the Palk Bay is a sure recipe to environmental disaster.

“Strangely, India confined the study of the environmental and ecological impact of the project to their side and forgot the existence of Sri Lanka. This is saddening,” he said.

The experts have warned that the marine wealth (especially fish) in the region would be destroyed permanently with the commissioning of the SSCP.

“The Gulf of Mannar and the Palk Bay, lying between the two countries, are unique, biologically rich areas linking two large marine ecosystems. This stretch of the sea is a rich source of all types of fish. Unless we accurately forecast and adequately mitigate the impact of the dredging of the channel this could destroy this sensitive and fragile marine ecosystem located between the two countries. It would also impact the fishing communities on the northern and north-western coast of Sri Lanka as they mainly fish in the potential area of impact on the Sri Lankan side of the channel,” said the recommendations submitted by the expert committee.

What the committee left unsaid is that the majority of those who will be robbed of their livelihoods will be Tamil fishermen who constitute the majority of the population in the two regions.

The study found that modelling studies were also inadequate. “Modelling needs to be backed by better field data to reach levels of accuracy required to satisfy the requirement of such a major undertaking. Increase in volumetric water exchange across Adam’s Bridge due to the canal and its impact on the ecology of the region has not been studied,” said the report.

The SSCP received negative attention globally in 2010 when Stjepan Mesic, then President of Croatia, expressed  concern over the UPA Government’s move to demolish the Ram Sethu for constructing the channel. Mesic had told Swami Maheshwarananda Paramhans, a Yoga guru, that he would ask the UNESCO to declare the Ram Sethu as a World Heritage site.

MP Police capture Shankaracharya Narendrananda Saraswati, taken away from Bhojshala :

As per the latest updates from Mr. Vinay Panavalkar of HJS Co-Ordinator, Madhya Pradesh Police as instigated by the Ruling BJP Govt, stopped vehicle of Shankaracharya Narendrananda Saraswati and his companions going towards Mata Saraswati Mandir, Bhojshala. Police forced Shankaracharya and others to come down from vehicle and seized their mobile phones, some 20 kms far from Bhojshala complex. Immediately Shankaracharya sat on Road for Dharna. But Police forced him to get into  that vehicle and that was taken over by Police and they have taken away Shankaracharya and others from Dhar. Revered Shankaracharya and his disciples are taken to unknown places. In the meanwhile thousand of Hindutva supporters came down to roads in Dhar and in some places in Madhya Pradesh.

Why BJP is following footsteps of Congress by trying to suppress voice and constitutional rights of Hindus ? Does it not look like ‘Moghalai’ (Mughal-like regime) of BJP ? If today BJP is preventing Hindu Saints and devotees from entering Hindu temples, tomorrow it may destroy Hindu temples like Mughal invaders ! RSS-VHP_Bajrangis are vacate onlookers!

Inspector General of Police, Indore, Smt Anuradha Shankar said police arranged safe Namaj for 116 Muslim Namajis and stopped Hindu Puja for the time being when Namaj was conducting. In such a way Hindus will be compelled to stop their Dharmik performance time and again to satiate the Muslims in Bharat only to promote Arabic Expansion in our Social, Cultural  & National Life. Bhojshala : Police arrest and brutally beat up Shri. Navalkishore Sharma of Bhojshala Mukti Yagna Samiti

February 11, 2013 | Hindu Existence Forum | Bhopal | Madhya Pradesh:: It is a bare Face Off of BJP and VHP in the case of recovery of Bhojshala Bagdevi Mandir on ensuing Basanta Panchami. The brutality on devout Hindu Activist by the Police under the control of Madhaya Pradesh Govt, has been exposed now.

Intimidation by BJP Govt. and Police in MP

Indian ArmyMadhya Pradesh police arrested Mr. Navalkishore Sharma, the National Convener of ‘Bhojshala Mukti-yadnya Samiti’ and his activists who have been fighting for Hindus’ right of performing ‘puja’ in ‘Bhojshala’ on the day of ‘Vasant-Panchami’, falling on Friday, 15th February this year. They have also been demanding that Muslims should not be allowed to read ‘namaz’ on that day in ‘Bhojshala’. His elder brother has already been arrested. Police not only arrested Navalkishore Sharma but they even beat him up brutally. (Editor of Dainik Sanatan Pravat commented “In Hindu Rashtra, stringent action will be taken against such cruel Police who are oppressing innocent Hindus!” ). Police have claimed that Mr. Navalkishore Sharma had a gun and a bullet. (Hindu activists have been holding agitations for the past so many days, in lawful manner. Will they carry guns ? Can it not be a ploy hatched by police on the instructions of BJP Govt. to arrest pro-Hindu activists under false charges? Hindus must realize that it is the conspiracy of BJP Govt. to crush their agitation ! – Editor SP).

Navalkishore Sharma injured in police beating has been admitted to hospital !

Navalkishore Sharma has been injured in police beating and has been admitted to a hospital. Hundreds of activists had gathered outside the hospital to meet Mr. Sharma; but police kept tight security and stopped them from meeting.

Instructions for District Coordinators of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti.

Hindus’ should get a right to perform ‘puja’ in ‘Bhojshala’ on the day of Vasant-Panchami; for this, protest against BJP Govt. in every district !

For the last few days, Hindus have been trying to gain right, in lawful manner, for performing ‘puja’ on ‘Vasant-Panchami’ in ‘Bhojshala’ instead of Muslims reading ‘namaz’; but BJP Government in Madhya Pradesh has paid no heed. As a result, Saints and pro-Hindu activists have now taken an aggressive stand of staging agitations. BJP Government has imposed curfew in Dhar District to crush this agitation. This stance of BJP Government should be condemned in every district of this country. Non-Hindus immediately unite when their religious sentiments are hurt and raise their voice. Now, even Hindus need to come together and register their protest immediately against injustice meted out to them.

Activists of Hindu Janjagruti Samiti (HJS) should, therefore, stage agitation in every district, along with pro-Hindu organizations that hold similar views like HJS, to register protest. As far as possible, such protests/agitations should be staged in front of BJP’s offices and the office-bearers of BJP should be taken to task on this issue. The banner, in Hindi, required for this agitation and handbill are made available on the usual web-address and on HJS Website here.

Ganga Sagar Mela – 2013 (Toll free help line 18003453220).

ॐ Welcome to Ganga Sagar Mela    Makar Sankranti     Kapil Muni Temple at Sagardwip

2013 gangasagarHere thousands of people take Holy Dip during Makar Sankranti, usually falls on 14 or 15th January every year. Gangasagar pilgrimage and fair is the second largest congregation of mankind after the holy Kumbha Mela. The latter is observed once in four years at alternate locations in north, central and central-west parts of the country, Gangasagar fair and pilgrimage is held annually on the Sagar Island’s southern tip in the Ganges delta atop the Bay of Bengal.

The Kapil Muni Temple at Sagardwip is the fourth constructed temple in the island. The first was razed by a tornado and the next two were destroyed by the sea. It was in 1961, the chief minister of Bengal, BC Roy donated Rs.11,000 to construct the present temple which was completed in 1973.

Sagardwip (Sagar Island), 128kms away from Kolkata presents an ideal repose for a quiet weekend. A small island in the Sunderban delta, Sagardwip is bequeathed with a quiet charm amidst the completely unspoiled and silvery beach on the estuary of the mighty Ganga. It has a lighthouse that offers you a panoramic view of the surroundings. Quite a hot spot for Hindu pilgrimage.

One lakh take the holy dip at Gangasagar… Another four lakh pilgrims are likely to reach…..

Gangasagar | 12 th January 2013 | Hindu Existence Media :: In the run-up to the festival of Makar Sankranti, around one lakh devotees have taken the holy dip at Gangasagar, the confluence of the Ganga and the Bay of Bengal.

West Bengal Panchayat minister Subrata Mukherjee today said the government is trying to make the annual fair by increasing the safety and comfort level for the devotees.

He said they are also constructing permanent guest houses for visitors and also a permanent jetty at a cost of Rs 5 crore.

Though the shameful pilgrimage tax of Rs. 5/= has been waved out this year, the escalated conveyance fare is still hammering the capacity of the common rural pilgrims coming from far away from the farthest corner of Bharat out of their spiritual passion to dip into holy Ganges confluence with Bay of Bengal,  even once for a life.

This escalation of Bus and ferry services in the Mela time could be managed by the Govt. of West Bengal this time, if a 3 Crore budget for the make shift wooden rest house for the ‘torn Sari-Hawai Chappal’ clad Chief Minister of West Bengal, Miss(?) Mamata Banerjee was possible to be averted from misutilizing the public exchequer.

The South 24 Parganas District authority is discharging their duties on war footing to welcome the expected 5 lakh pilgrims to the Ganga Sagar Makar Sankranti Mela this year. Over 200 NGOs are also rendering their stream of cooperation to make this Dharmik events a grand success.

'Kumbh Mela' the Greatest Show on Earth and The World's Most Massive Act of Oldest Faith...

‘Kumbh Mela’ the greatest show on Earth, says a study

According to the study done by a team of professors across the UK and India, the Kumbh Mela attracts worldwide attention as a remarkable spectacle: millions of pilgrims bathing in the Ganges, parades of gurus on thrones, flanked by naked Naga Sadhus smeared in ash…..
………….

Kumbha Hindu ExistenceLondon | Tue, 18 Dec 2012 | By PTI :: The Kumbh Mela, one of the largest religious gatherings in the world, to be held at Sangam in Allahabad early next year has been described as the “greatest show on Earth” in a four-year study by British and Indian researchers.

Up to 100 million people will gather on the shores of the Ganges to celebrate the Hindu festival commencing on January 14, 2013. For four years the team of British and Indian researchers have been studying the event, seeking to understand how people treat each other, how they experience the crowd and what impact the crowd has on their everyday lives.

They will present their findings at a special event at Allahabad University on January 24, 2013. The study described the Kumbh Mela as an incredible event and the “greatest show on Earth”.

The Kumbh Mela attracts worldwide attention as a remarkable spectacle: millions of pilgrims bathing in the Ganges, parades of gurus on thrones, flanked by naked Naga Sadhus smeared in ash.

This research, led by Nick Hopkins at the University of Dundee, Prof Stephen Reicher at the University of St Andrews, and Prof Narayanan Srinivasan at the University of Allahabad shows it to be remarkable in other ways as well.

How is it that a vast city of strangers emerges from nothing every year, and yet it functions harmoniously? How is it that people thrive in an environment that is densely crowded, intensely noisy and often insanitary?

The event in Allahabad will provide the answers to these and other questions about the Mela. It will also provide insights that are relevant, not only to the Mela, but go to the heart of processes that make human social life possible, which create (or undermine) social cohesion and which shape our sense of well being. ‘Sometimes we look at the Mela as an exotic event and focus on how different the pilgrims are from us. Our work shows how the pilgrim experience has lessons for all of us about how to create a good community and to ensure that people thrive in the community,’ Hopkins said. ‘By all the tenets of conventional wisdom, the Mela shouldn’t work. It is crowded, noisy and unsanitary.

One might expect people to be stressed, quarrelsome and conflictual. Yet the event is harmonious and people are serene. Studying the Mela has forced us to reconsider many basic beliefs about how people function in society,’ Reicher said. Narayanan said, ‘This has been the largest ever social science collaboration between the UK and India and possibly the most successful. The event in Allahabad will be very exciting. It will reveal findings that are sure to surprise people. It will change their understanding of crowds and communities.’

Hindu Existence  Post Script:

The Kumbh Mela

Kumbh Mela is a mass Hindu pilgrimage in which Hindus gather at the Ganges, river Godavari and river Shipra, where bathing for purification from sin is considered especially efficacious.

Mainly, the Ardh (half) Kumbh Mela is celebrated every six years at Haridwar and Allahabad, the Purna (complete) Kumbh takes place every twelve years, at four places Allahabad, Haridwar, Ujjain, and Nashik. The Maha(great) Kumbh Mela which comes after 12 ‘Purna Kumbh Melas’, or 144 years, is held at Allahabad.

Five Types of Kumbh Melas • Maha Kumbh Mela – occurring every 144 years – only in Allahabad. • Purna Kumbh Mela – after every 12 years – last one took place in January 2001 in Allahabad. • Ardh Kumbh – 6th year after Kumbh Mela. • Kumbh Mela – every 3rd years, rotating through Prayag, Nasik, Haridwar and Ujjain. • Magh Mela – Annual, held every year except years of Kumbh Mela and Ardh Kumbh Mela Held in Magh (Jan-Feb); hence the name. Only in Allahabad.

According to the Mela Administration’s estimates, around 70 million people participated in the 45-day Ardh Kumbh Mela in Allahabad, in 2007.

The previous Kumbh Mela, held in 2010 in Haridwar, was, before it occurred, estimated by the authorities to attract between 30 and 70 million people. Coming Ardha Kumbh Mela will start on 14-January-2013 at Allahabad.

Most Significant Days During The Kumbh Mela

Makar Sankranti  (14th January 2013 Sunday) - Shahi Snan

Kumbh-the greatest show on earthA Holy bath during this period carries special significance. Those who take a holy bath in the rivers Ganga, Yamuna, Godavari, Krishna and Kaveri acquire pious credits . Ganga is considered as the river of heaven. This river came to earth by the religious austerity of Bhagirath and river had conjunction with ocean for the reclamation of ocean. The day Ganga dissolved in ocean was the day of Makar Sankranti. Hence, the virtue of bathing in Ganga today is much more than any other day. In Kolkata, lakhs of devotees come to take bath in Ganga sagar. In Allahabad as well, great masses come for bathing and doing charity on the banks of Sangam. One month of Kalpvas(kumbh mela) is also started in Allahabad from the day of Makar Sankranti, which is been followed since the era of Ramayana.

Paush Purnima (27 January 2013 Sunday)

The day occurs when the moon is full in the Hindu month of Paush. This is the last full moon of winter. By this time, the sadhu and hundreds of thousands of pilgrims arrive at the Kumbh Mela. On the day of Paush Purnima, devotees take baths in various sacred rivers like Ganga and Yamuna. People take baths at various places including Haridwar and relieve themselves of all their sins and problems. Taking baths, donations, charities etc are considered very sacred on this day. The baths of Magh month start with Paush Purnima and hence, this day is considered very important. It is believed that all wishes come true on this day.

Ekadashi Snan (6 February 2013)

Ekadashi, Krishna Paksha in the Hindu month  Magha, 2069 Vikram Samvat. At times Ekadashi fasting is suggested on two consecutive days. It is advised that Smartha with family should observe fasting on first day only. The alternate Ekadashi fasting, which is the second one, is suggested for Sanyasis, widows and for those who want Moksha. When alternate Ekadashi fasting is suggested for Smartha it coincides with Vaishnava Ekadashi fasting day. Ekadashi fasting on both days is suggested for staunch devotees who seek for love and affection of Lord Vishnu.

Mauni Amavasya Snan (10 February 2013 Sunday) - Shahi Snan

For the holy men and women, this is the main bathing day. New members to various holy monastic orders receive their first initiation on this day. The Amavasya of Magh Masa is called the Mauni Amavasya. Sun and Moon enter and the Capricorn sign, because of the transit, on this day. This day is celebrated as the birthday of Manu Rishi. It is believed, Lord Brahma gave origination to Maharaja Manu and queen Shatrupa. Hence, this day is considered as the beginning of the universe creation. Capricorn sign has the Yoga of Sun and Moon which increases the significance of this Amavasya. Bathing in Sangam of Allahabad, gives virtues to an individual, on this day. According to some scholar, Maun Vrat should be observed. Maun (silent) Vrat means to control all our senses. It depends on a person for how long he wants to observe silence. People take the resolution of Maun Vrat for a day, or a month, or for one year.

Basant Panchami Snan (14 February 2013 Thursday) - Shahi Snan

This is the fifth day of the luminous half of the lunar month and is the beginning of spring in North India. Vasant Panchami day is dedicated to Goddess of learning Maa Saraswati, the source of knowledge, enlightment, music, arts, science and culture.  Goddess Saraswati is worshipped on Vasant Panchami day. Vasant Panchami is also known as Shri Panchami and Saraswati Panchami.

Rath Saptami Snan (17 February 2013 Sunday)

Rath Saptami festival is observed on the seventh day of Shukla Paksha in the Magh Month (January – February) in the traditional Hindu calendar.

Bhishma Ekadasi Snan ( 21 February 2013 Thursday)

On this day, Bhishma Pithamaha, the oldest, wisest, most powerful and most righteous person belonging to the Kuru dynasty (approx. over 5000 years ago), narrated the greatness of Lord Krishna through Sri Vishnu Sahasranama to Yudhishtira, the eldest brother of Pandavas.

20 years after Babri demolition. Hindus are uniting to build both Ramajanmabhoomi Temple and Hindu Rashtra very soon.

Posted by hinduexistence on December 6, 2012

20 yrs after 1992

How much we have to wait for a Ramjanmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya and a Hindu Rashtra in Bharat?

~ Upananda Brahmachari.

upananda-brahmachariOn December 6th of 1992 in Ayodhya , by demolishing the ”ILLEGAL” and “DISPUTED” Babri Structure , We Karsewak’s have reclaimed our rightful Holy place, Sri Ram Janma Bhoomi, Lord Rama’s Holy Birth Place. Since then  6th December  is celebrated as ‘Vijay’/'Shourya’ Diwas – ‘Victory Day’ or ‘Valour Day’ by Hindu’s all over the Globe. But after 20 years that VIJAY is still incomplete and it may termed as an ‘Ardha Vijay Diwas’  as it is a Victory in a half done condition.

Hindus won a big litigation in the Mandir-Masjid land dispute, but the controversy is still being kept alive by some followers of Babar who destroyed a magnificent Rama Temple by his commander Mir Banki in 1528 to make that disputed structure to humiliate the Hindus in many ways. Through a series of war over 450 years the followers of Lord Rama clearly knocked down the followers of Babar  in 1992. But, the pseudo secular politicians with Islamic, Christian and Communist faith are putting many hurdles to build a magnificent Ram Temple at Ayodhya.  Not only that, many holy places of Hindu Faith are waiting for the liberation from the plunderers’ Jihadi signs amidst its bloody history of Bharat in Islamic or Christian rules.

The crisis in the Hindu leadership and treating the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple Movement as an used or less important issue, did a great harm to the resurgence of Hindu Rashtra Movement in India.  Actually, Ram Janmabhoomi Temple Movement was activated as to rise a Hindu Wave to build up a meaningful management of a Hindu Rashtra in Bharat with Hindu Empowerment in all dimension. But that ethos are now somehow skipped by the political power monger Hindu Leadership always searching a short-cut to reach the goal.

I am not contradicting the Political power to be captured by the Hindus. But that cannot be first priority before making the foundation work so strength-fully. Horses should pull the chariot. Chariot cannot pull the horses. If we don’t possess that strong foundation or well trained horses to that Hindu Chariot, never can we reach that goal of Hindu Rashtra or Ram Janmabhoomi Temple at Ayodhya as a highest symbol of it.

So, the Hindu empowerment in all the social and economical faculty, Hindu empowerment in Judiciary and Administration,  Hindu empowerment in Police and Military, Hindu Exploration in Science and Technology  are needed as the horse-power to the Hindu Chariot leading to the goal of Hindu Rashtra. But, politics need a Hindu enforcement here instead of empowerment, so that the Indian Politics cannot be a subject of any Jihadi, Evangelical or Communist powers likely venture a stabbing on Indian Independence, Integrity and Sovereignty.

If we wish to see our Holy places  and signs of pride rebuilt once again to the glory as it were, we have to sacrifice more. With out spontaneous support from every sphere of Hindu Life such a big Hindutva movement cannot be helpful to reclaim our Holy places  or one and only Hindu Rashtra in Bharat for a billion of Hindus in the world. With the spirit of December 6 1992 , let us march together for re-establishing of a Hindu Rashtra in Bharat to become a Vishwa Guru and a Real World Power.

In this context I have three suggestions to make our movement successful.

One. Real Unity in Hindu Leadership. Hindus are divided as the Hindu Leadership is divided. If there is a real unity in Hindu Leadership, Hindus will be united in a moment. Respect to others and political dissolutions are the important factors here.

Two. Issue based joint strategy.  Many issues before the Hindus put Hindus in an issue-less confronting situation. Common and Commanding issues can put forth maximum Hindu success. Go-Ganga Raksha. Hindu’s highest sentiment over Go-hatya (Cow-slaughter) and Ganga Raksha to save the environment as habitable, must come to the priority.  Dharmasthan Raksha. Reclaiming Rama Janmabhoomi. Mathura Krishna Janmasthan and Kashi Vishwanath Jirnoddhar comes most important, but 100s of Bhagya Lakshmi Temples at Charminar or Bhojpal Temples are shrines are to be liberated through consistent movements. As the whole of Bharat is treated as Matru Bhoomi and Dharma Bhoomi, it should be liberated from anti Hindu force. Nari Raksha-Samaj Raksha. War front must be opened to fight against Love Jihad and Christian Conversion. With these issues Bharat must speak in a word, think in a way and win over the opponents of Hindutva.

Three: Local leadership for Hindu empowerment.  Just make a group of Ten to Fifteen boys (your friends) in your para (locality) and take a vow not to face any defeat from the opposition. Be Strategic. Powerful and then Successful. Self Defence and Arms Training is must. Keep keen vigil to stop Jihadi Terrorism. Take the help of RTI and HR in possible cases. Try to maintain a liaison with local PS. Gradually expand your group and set specific responsibilities in some smaller efficient groups. IT/Social Media Groups, Legal Cell, RTI Cell, Human Rights Cell, Fund Rising, Co-operatives, Hindu Help Line, all these will come up one after another, but all these should be saturated by the Pure Hindutva Concept. Without a dedicated, diligent and desperate Local Hindu Leadership, nothing can be achieved.

This is a matter of  strength out of profound Hindu faith.  We have to show the world about the power of Hindu Dharma. Hindu Dharma will defeat the Jihadi Terrorism, Christian Conversions and pseudo Secular Politics. Let everybody inform to join the Hindutva movements and find the solutions how to stop attacks on Hindu Dharma and how to win in the war for formation of Hindu Rashtra.

20 years have already gone after hearing the assurance one after another.  But now, we cannot wait for an indefinite time to establish a Ramajanmabhoomi Temple at Ayodhya. I think Hindu Groups in many fronts are getting reactive day by day through facing various Political, Islamic and Evangelical hazards. Proactive Hindus have set their alternative ways out of any big banners to run a struggle for Hindu Freedom to usher a New Hindu Age in Bharat Bhoomi. Big Hindu houses will be compelled to compensate for the real Hindu demands under pressure. In that calculation we will build a Sri Ram Temple in Ayodhya in 2015 and a Dharma Rashtra – Hindu Rashtra in Bharat in 2025. Swagatam. welcome to this Hindu Rashtra.

Ayodhya: Twenty years on, a refusal to see the truth of Ramjanmabhumi.

Ramjanmabhumi: Twenty years on, a refusal to see the truth

- Dr. Subramanian Swamy

Swamy on Janmabhoomi1 DEC 2012  | New Delhi  | Daily Pioneer ::  The pseudo-secular narrative has triumphed on the Ram Janmabhoomi struggle which climaxed twenty years ago on December 6. The tragedy is that all the blood and gore could have been avoided through a negotiated settlement

On December 6, 1992, a superstructure called the Babri Masjid standing in the city of Ayodhya, came crashing down. It remains even today a traumatic event for the nation, because modern Indians have not yet been weaned on a true history of India, and hence a large section of our educated classes still view the destruction of the structure as criminal vandalism. What happened exactly? There was a superstructure built on the site of an ancient temple after demolishing it. That was the real vandalism.

Two years earlier, by a coincidence, on the same month and day, I had met representatives of the VHP and BJP at a house, next door to mine, on Mathura Road. The newly sworn in Prime Minister, the late Chandrashekhar, had asked me (I was then his newly sworn in senior most Cabinet Minister) that as the new Union Law& Justice Minister, I should talk to them about withdrawing their proposed nation-wide stir slated to begin on December 9, 1991 for building a Ram temple at the site the super-structure had then stood in its gloomy glory. He told me to assure the VHP that our government would get removed the Babri Masjid with the consent of Muslim leaders through discussions.

The VHP and BJP leaders I met readily agreed to call off the stir since we were a new government. Their decision to go on a stir was taken when VP Singh was in power – his government fell in November. Thereafter, in January 1991, talks initiated by Chandrashekhar himself began with the Muslim leaders. Unfortunately, despite the zig-zag progress in the talks, our government did not last long enough to fructify it. Had history taken a different turn and our government lasted for a year more, I am confident we would have amicably liberated the Ranjanmabhoomi for building a befitting Ram temple, that too with the consent of the Muslim community, even though the Government was in the minority in the Parliament.

From my personal experience as a Minister in a minority government, I can therefore say that lack of majority is no excuse for implementing any agenda, if the leadership had the mindset to get things done. As a Minister of Law &Justice, for instance, I got the controversial Sessions Judge of Faizabad, KM Pandey, a High Court judgeship, despite the fact that the previous V.P. Singh’s “three-legged” government had issued orders on file that since Pandey had directed the locks on the so-called Babri Masjid be removed in 1986, he should never be made a High Court judge.

Mulayam Singh was our Chief Minister of UP, but with firmness I got his protests sufficiently moderated to his permit me to go ahead. He cooperated because he knew I would do it anyway– make Pandey a judge of the High Court-and hence he acquiesced since he wanted other things done for him by me,. The same clarity enabled the Chandrashekhar government to get Saifuddin Soz’s kidnapped daughter freed without releasing any dreaded terrorists. There are methods for doing that-mostly based on retaliation. In each case it is the mindset of those elected to high office that matters, not the size of the parliamentary majority or lack of it.

It was this mindset that enabled the Chandrashekhar government to nearly solve by an agreement the question of building of a Ram temple in Ayodhya. However, the government however fell before it could be clinched. But could the Babri Masjid have been demolished in a more legally authorised way? Hindus should not be defensive in the face of an onslaught by the fashionable secularists about removing mosques built on where temples had once stood, because the Supreme Court has held in the Faruqui vs. Union of India case [(1994)6 SCC360], that a masjid is not an essential part of Islamic theology, and these can and have been be demolished for public good.

Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and even in British-ruled undivided India, Masjids have been demolished to facilitate roads. The government of Saudi Arabia did not think twice before demolishing the Bilal Masjid in Mecca where Prophet Muhammed used to read namaz. A masjid, like a church, is not a religious place in the sense a temple is. Masjids and Churches are places for worship, i.e., buildings which serve as facilitation centres for namaz and prayer. Namaz can be read anywhere even on a railway platform. In the United States, the VHP buys disused Churches and converts them into temples, and yet no Christian there objects.

But temples, once it is shown that a prana prathista puja has been performed to build it, is where God or deity resides, and belongs to God forever. As Union Law&Justice Minister in 1991 I got our government legal team to prove this to the satisfaction of the House of Lords in Britain, to bring back a Nataraja statue taken from a disused Thanjavur temple. It was at Rajiv Gandhi’s request I took interest in the case!

Of course, because of this fact about masjids and churches, no one in a democracy has the right to take the law into his own hands to demolish them. But on the other hand, a government can remove in a legal and orderly way the masjids in Ayodhya, Kashi, and Brindavan (this mention is supposed to be Mathura as the birth place temple of Lord Krishna – Ed. HE), in fact in 300 other places, to rebuild the original temples under law. We can get Muslims to cooperate in this. I am confident of this. Babri Masjid was built as an affront to Hindus. Otherwise it could have been built anywhere else since namaz can be offered anywhere. Hindus have however prevailed because despite 800 years of Islamic and 200 years of Christian domination, Bharat today is still over 80 per cent Hindu and a continuum of an ancient civilisation. Hence, now we must resolve to rectify what is essential to rectify and reclaim. For that, the restoration of three holy sites, in Ayodhya, Vrindavan, and Kashi, is necessary. Patriotic politicians must resolve: Come our way or go the highway.

But it is easier said than done to expect that politicians would do or die for it. As our rudderless democracy has drifted, we are today in a “match-fixing mode” even in electoral contests. In Tamil Nadu, the DMK and AIADMK are bitter enemies, but in most crucial constituencies, a match-fixing arrangement for money have been worked out for decades between Sasikala of the AIADMK and Arcot Veerasamy of the DMK, who are alter egos of their respective top leaders, and determined to keep out the Hindutva forces from Tamil Nadu.

The same match-fixing disease has spread to other parties nation-wide. We have to cure it before it completely debilitates and destroys our democracy as it has done in Banana Republics of Latin American countries such as Colombia and Peru.

The reluctance today to confront and expose the anti-Hindu personages in Parliament, academia and media because of this disease of “match-fixing”. It is said that such attacks would be “personal” and “counter productive”. There is however nothing “personal” in such directed and organised attacks. Just as the world focused on Hitler or Mussolini, without thinking of it being personal, therefore we should identify and expose especially the person who today has emerged as the fountain head of the anti-Hindutva campaign.

But we cannot prevail in this struggle, if we have in our midst those suffering from the “Arjuna virus” as-the late Swami Chinmayananda once pointed out, referring to Arjuna’s initial reluctance to fight at Kurukshetra. The Babri Masjid legacy is that virus we still have to cure twenty years later.

While Bhagavad Gita is honoured in US Congress, Shatapatha Brahmana is being disowned in Chennai Christian School.

America’s First Ever Hindu Congresswoman Will Take the Oath of Office Over the Bhagavad Gita.

Hindu-American elected to US Congress for the first time.

PTI | WASHINGTON | Nov 8, 2012 :: Tulsi Gabbard on Wednesday created history by becoming the first Hindu-American to have entered the US House of Representatives, winning her Hawaii seat by trouncing her Republican rival in a one-sided contest.

An Iraq war veteran, 31-year-old Gabbard defeated K Crowley of the Republican Party with a handsome margin. Her victory has been cheered by the Hindu-American community across the country.

Though just 50 per cent of the votes had been counted when reports came in, Gabbard had taken a massive unassailable lead of 120,000 votes over her Republican rival in her bid to represent Hawaii’s 2nd Congressional District in the US House.

She is also the first female combat veterans to serve in the Congress.

“Although there are not very many Hindus in Hawaii, I never felt discriminated against. I never really gave it a second thought growing up that any other reality existed, or that it was not the same everywhere,” Tulsi said in a statement, soon after she took an inaccessible lead over her Republican challenger.

“On my last trip to the mainland I met a man who told me that his teenage daughter felt embarrassed about her faith, but after meeting me, she’s no longer feeling that way. He was so happy that my being elected to Congress would give hope to hundreds and thousands of young Hindus in America, that they can be open about their faith, and even run for office, without fear of being discriminated against or attacked because of their religion,” Gabbard said.

She was endorsed by US President Barack Obama, during the election campaign.

Proud of her Hindu religion, she is not Indian or of Indian heritage. Her father Mike Gabbard, is currently Hawaii State Senator and mother Carol Porter Gabbard is an educator and business owner.

At 21, she became the youngest person elected to the Hawaii Legislature. At 23, she was the state’s first elected official to voluntarily resign to go to war. At 28, she was the first woman to be presented with an award by the Kuwait Army National Guard.

Congratulations Tulsi:

Gabbard, whose first name refers to a tree ‘Tulsi’ sacred to Hindus, fully embraced Hinduism as a teenager, and follows the Vaishnava branch that believes in the Supreme Lord Vishnu, and his 10 primary incarnations. Her primary scripture is the centuries-old Bhagavad Gita, whose themes include selfless action, spirituality, war, and serving God and humanity.

“The Bhagavad Gita is often considered a guide as to how to make decisions in difficult situations, when the decision is often not clear cut,” Meghani said. “Hinduism’s innate pluralism recognizes that there are various ways to look at things, and its focus on dharma, or duty, guides those holding positions of power or authority.”

When she’s sworn in this January, she’ll take her oath of office over a Bhagavad Gita, a sacred text for followers of the Vaishnava branch of Hindu. According to HuffPo, Gabbard’s favorite verses include,

  • “That which pervades the entire body you should know to be indestructible. No one is able to destroy that imperishable soul.” (2:17)
  •  ”The soul can never be cut into pieces by any weapon, nor can he be burned by fire, nor moistened by water, nor withered by the wind.”(2.23)

Gabbard hopes that her faith will help her to assist the US in fostering a better relationship with India, where a large portion of the population is Hindu.

It is notable that the whole family of Tulsi is attached with Hare Krishna Movement originated from ISKCON and her brothers and siters  are named as Bhakti, Jay, Virndavan and Arya. Tulsi’s parents are also known as Krishmakatha and Devahuti.

Tulsi Gabbard confirmed her oath on Srimad Bhagavad Gita as first ever  Hindu Congresswoman in US, when speaking at Bhoomi Puja of Fortworth Hindu Temple.

Unmatched contradiction in Bharat (India).

Chennai schoolteacher ‘persecuted’ for Hindu prayer from sacrad ‘Shatapatha Brahmana’

TUESDAY, 06 NOVEMBER 2012 | KUMAR CHELLAPPAN | CHENNAI | THE POINEER :: In what is being seen as an assault on religious freedom, the management of an admittedly secular school in Chennai has suspended a teacher for reciting Hindu prayers during assembly.

Abirami, a chemistry teacher of the State Bank of India Officers’ Association Educational Trust School (SBIOA), recited the prayers in the school assembly on March 13, 2012 hoping to inspire the 330 students who were about to write the chemistry paper in the public examination.

“I recited the lines Om Mathru Devo Bhava, Om Pitru Devo Bhava, Om Acharya Devo Bhava, Om Vighneswaraya Namaha, Om Neela Saraswathiye Namaha which was repeated by the students. But before they could reach the stanza Om Vighneswaraya Namaha, school’s vice- principal Jayanti Sundar, a Christian who is also an evangelist, switched off the mike. I told her that prayers were not yet over and continued reciting the full prayer when she pushed me aside and asked another Christian teacher to lead the prayers. They put me under suspension on that day itself on charges of physically assaulting the vice-principal in front of the school students,” Abirami told The Pioneer.

She said that though the school was launched by the State Bank of India Officers Association, it has turned out to be a Christian management school. “Only Christian prayers are allowed in the school assembly though majority of the students are from the Hindu community. It was only on the day of the chemistry examination that I took part in the school assembly and recited the prayer. My intention was to recite prayers for the benefit of students belonging to all religions,” said Abirami.

Though she has been under suspension for the entire academic year 2012, the management is yet to complete the disciplinary proceedings which in itself are a violation of education department rules. “The internal disciplinary proceedings against her are under progress. Ours is a secular school and all the charges levelled against us are baseless. Abirami is trying to divert the attention of the general public by inciting religious sentiments,” PC Selvarani, the school principal, said. She alleged that Abirami was trying to spoil the minds of the students. But she refused to divulge the reasons behind the suspension and disciplinary proceedings against Abirami.

Students who took part in the March 13 school assembly said Abirami did not in any way violate the school discipline. “Abirami offered prayers for all religions equally. While she was offering the prayers, vice-principal Jayanthi Sunder tried to snatch the microphone from her hands. Consequently, Abirami resisted this act and did not force Jayanthi Sunder physically in any form. I could deduce no reason for her suspension,” said S Vidhyalakshmi, a student who was present in the assembly on the fateful day.

Some of the students backed Abirami’s claim that only Christian prayers are recited in the school assembly everyday. “Only Christian teachers are allowed to lead the assembly and recite the prayers. This has baffled us,” one of the students who did not want to be quoted said.

B Haran, a political commentator, described as outrageous the action of the school authorities. “This is a classic case of minorities serving their religion wherever they are. They infiltrate a secular institution, take control of management and convert it into a minority institution. This is what has happened exactly in this case. The SBOA is now controlled by the Church. That is Indian Secularism for you,” said Haran.

V Sundaram, all India general secretary (ideology), Janata Party, called the bluff on the school management. A former IAS officer withy more than three decades of administrative experience, Sundaram termed the action of the school management as a violation of the freedom of religion. “If we interpret true secularism, the court itself can take suo moto note of the news and initiate action against the school,” he said. Practising Hindu Sri Pranab Mukherjee, President of India conducts Durga Puja rituals at hometown Mirati.

Posted by hinduexistence on October 23, 2012

President Mukherjee conducts rituals at hometown.

IANSMirati, Birbhum, West Bengal, October 21, 2012 :: President Pranab Mukherjee rendered priestly duties on Sunday, donning the special puja robes, and performed customary Mahasaptami rituals for the Durga puja at his ancestral home in West Bengal’s Birbhum district. Accompanied by wife Shuvra, Mukherjee arrived at his ancestral residence in Mirati village  from his sister’s house in Kirnahar early in the morning to start the Puja celebrations.

The ‘Nabapatrika snan-o-sthapan’, which is the ritual to install the idol of the deity, was performed by Mukherjee’s son Abhijit. Previously the custom was carried out by Mukherjee but this time he only walked up to the canal where the traditional ‘Kola bou’ (tender banana plant) was bathed early in the morning.

After the ‘Pran Prathistha’, or giving life to the deity, Mukherjee chanted hymns and did the Chandipath. The Chandipath was done inside an enclosure and camera persons were not allowed inside.

The Mahasaptami puja rituals concluded with an ‘arati’ which Mukherjee conducted wearing silk dhoti and a silken stole draped around his shoulders.

During the arati, he sought blessings for all. “I wish and pray to god to bless everybody,” he said.

Villagers in large number gathered to see Mukherjee perform his maiden Durga puja after becoming the president of the country.

The rituals were conducted by Mukherjee amid elaborate security arrangements.

For years, the veteran leader has been conducting the Durga Puja rituals at Mukherjee Bhawan, and has steadfastly stuck to the routine by taking out time during the festival despite his busy schedule as in charge of various constitutional and political posts.

The president was later to meet students of his alma mater, Kirnahar Shib Chandra High School, at the nearby Kirnahar town. He would inaugurate a permanent exhibition “Pranab’s School – School’s Pranab” showcasing different phases of his life.

Mukherjee touched down in his native village, some 170 km from Kolkata, on Saturday evening.

He will return to Kolkata Oct 23 evening before returning to Delhi.

Hindu Buddhist Cultural Unity in Nepal.

Hinduism and Buddhism In Nepal

 By Dirgha Raj Prasai.
The religious structure of Nepalese society is formally Hindu; but here and only here the interplay of peoples and their religious traditions has produced a rich fusion of Hindu and Buddhist faiths. It is common for both Hindus and Buddhists to worship at the same shrine, for many gods and saints are cross-over, often known by a different name but holding the same attributes. The original inhabitants of the valley were animists, a tradition which survives in the multitude of spirits, demons, local deities, and stones which receive dutiful worship to this day. Hindu and Buddhist traditions adapted from the pre-existing animist practices and from each other. Indeed, in the medieval period, when both religions’ practice adopted mystical, Tantrik traditions, they were almost indistinguishable from each other.
An international scholar Aldous Huxley said-”The oldest aspects of Hindu mythology give place to the most profound and subtle utterances about the nature of ultimate reality, it is in itself a liberal education in humility, tolerance and suspense of judgment.” We can see The Great Wall of China; “the seventh wonders of the world” has a fourteen feet long Sanskrit incantation engraved on the western gate. Mongolian emperor Kublai Khan had written ‘OM Namo! Bhagawati’ including others in the 14th century. The Chinese Great Wall has many syllables from ‘Mahabharata’ written on the doors in Sanskrit language. It is not a common thing that the language was written in Kalipinya letters. Similarly, NEWSWEEK COLUMNIST Ms Lisa Miller says-’we are all Hindus. The Rig Veda, the most ancient Hindu scripture, says: “Truth is one, but the sages speak of it by many names.” A Hindu believes there are many paths to God. The most traditional, conservative Christians have not been taught to think like this. They learn in Sunday school that their religion is true, and others are false. Let us all say “OM.” when you chant “OM,” it will resonate not only in the room but down through the ages.’ May 13, 2010 at > http://www.newsweek.com/id/237910
Nepal’s History and Religions Nepal is a rich and complex mix of different cultures and traditions, melded over thousands of years into a unique whole. For the western traveler there is much that is familiar, and many surprises. Family and religion are of paramount importance, and are constantly reflected throughout the culture. Nepal moves to a different rhythm than the West. The notes here are meant only to tantalize you into visiting this amazing place. We should all aware of the facts that Hindu religion has many enemies. These enemies may try to discredit and malign Hinduism. In south Asia general population is ignorant, and engulfed in blind faith and traditions that are carried over for centuries. It is true that over millennia some people took advantage of this blind faith and traditions to satisfy there own hidden agenda and lust and did harm the local communities. But that is not the case here.
According to -Pt. Shriram Sharma Acharya-’This world is full of all kinds of human beings. In a nutshell, they can be classified as – gentle, sad, upbeat and scoundrel. We need to treat them according to their type and not the same way. There is an aphorism in Yogadarshana which talks about friendship, compassion, gleefulness and neglect. It explains the need and utility of behavior tailored as per the individual. We should make friendship with gentlemen so that the impact of their virtues benefits us and also a timely good conduct can be expected from them. A feeling of compassion should prevail for the grieving and benighted ones and the efforts to make them overcome the crisis by helping and serving must be driven. At the minimum, sympathy can be shown to them with an endeavor of providing consultation to hold patience and guide them the way to get over the sufferings. We should be glad to see the successful and upbeat people. Progressives deserve at the minimum a gift of appreciation for their skills and dedication which will encourage them further. It inspires others to rise too.
It’s not possible to fight with evil and rogue forever. Avoid confrontation with everybody coming on the way as fighting with them in an effort to rectify and fix them is next to impossible. At least their misbehavior can be ignored so that the time which was to be used for taking revenge and degrading them can be utilized in creative tasks. Even with all this, at least one must make sure that culprits should be shown the fear of non-cooperation, resistance and conflict otherwise they take our ignorance as an opportunity to dare more. Ignorance should be limited to the extent that the wicked must not get encouraged further. To conduct as per the person’s level is the real workmanship which is called another form of Yoga by the God in the Geeta.
It can’t be implemented in the behavior literally. It will be very awkward if practiced exactly that way. If revered Gurus and evils/rogues are seated at the same level and worshiped or neglected-condemned the same way then it will look very strange and confusing. This will have bad aftermath effects. A buffalo (in a cart) needs a hit of stick to move whereas a horse starts running with a slight hint of the halter. This is because of the difference in their nature which justifies the riders’ behavior. It’s quite possible to play the tricks of negotiation, money, punishment, divide (Saam, Daam, Danda, Bhed) as per the need. Try the other (or more) tricks if one doesn’t work. The sole purpose is to reform. Hate the sin and not the sinner. This synergistic behavior for the benefit of others is similar to the callousness of a surgeon while operating for good and ethical.’
A country’s existence and prestige can gradually be eroded by finishing off its faith and belief tradition and culture and the creator of nation. Nepal was worthy to be bowed down by Hindus all over the world. This is the highest honor Nepal could receive from the international community. The conspiracy against oriental Baidik Hindu and Buddha’s culture was started almost 200 years ago from India by East India Company where Lord Macaulay was one of them who succeed to destroy oriental Hindu identities and culture.
Lumbinī- Nepal is a Buddhist pilgrimage site in the Rupandehi district of Nepal, near the Indian border. It is the place where Queen Mayadevi is said to have given birth to Siddhartha Gautam, who as the Buddha founded the Buddhist tradition. Records made by the Chinese pilgrim Fa Xian were also used in the process of identifying this religiously acclaimed site. The holy site of Lumbini has ruins of ancient monasteries, a sacred Bodhi tree, an ancient bathing pond, the Ashoka pillar and the Mayadevi temple. The truth, however is that Buddha was born at Lumbini in present Rupandehi district of western Terai region in Nepal. A fact accepted by UNESCO while providing world heritage status to the place.

Celebrate Ganesha Utsav in a Dharmik way….

Posted by hinduexistence on September 13, 2012

Celebrate Ganesha Festival as per ‘Dharma-shastra’ in an ideal manner avoiding malpractices ! – HJS

O Hindus! Don’t get misled by propagation against Dharma by the Government and anti- Dharma Organisations !

Mumbai | 12-09-2012 – Lokmanya Tilak started public celebration of Ganesha Utsav (Festival)  with the aim of unification of Hindus, protection of Nation and creating awareness amongst people towards Dharma; however, the festival presently celebrated indulging in various malpractices like installing weird idols of Deities, drinking liquor in pandals, noise pollution, teasing women, organising uncivilized programs, air pollution, costly decorations etc., keeps away from the basic purpose of celebration as also eliminates sanctity of the festival. Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) has been running campaign for the past 9 years for creating awareness towards serving the original purpose of celebrating Ganesha Festival. This campaign has been receiving good response from Police, public Ganesha Festival Committees (committees) and Ganesha-devotees.
…………………………..
HJS has made an appeal that all committees should celebrate this festival as per Dharma-shastra avoiding malpractices so as to acquire the grace of Sri Ganesha. HJS has also appealed to all Ganesha-devotees to use idols made of clay as prescribed by Dharma and worship it with devotion. Immersion of the idol should be done in flowing water or natural water resources as per the science.
…………………………
Points in the discussion:
1. Why issue of pollution is raised only during Hindu festivals?
2. Negligible pollution.
3. Anti-Dharma ANiS and Govt. mislead people.
4. Desecration of Ganesha and unwarranted expenses in immersion of idols in artificial water tanks.

God Particle – CERN – Lord Shiva (Nataraj).

Posted by hinduexistence on July 14, 2012

DANCE OF SHIVA IN CERN.

Upananda Brahmachari.

‘God Particles’ have no scientific relation with GOD as per the atheist point of view. Rather they claim that the discovery of God particle is a landmark “win for science over superstition”. In an article in Washington Post under the heading

God particle discovery is a win for science over superstitionRick Wingrove claims: “The discovery is yet another demonstration of Scientific methodology as the scrupulous process by which humankind acquires and authenticates all knowledge. The importance of this becomes more obvious when contrasted against the current resurgence of rabid religionism, especially the unabashed and exuberant anti-intellectualism of those who assert that they hold special knowledge, supplied by talkative deities, and who strive to supplant Science with bronze age origin fables.” (WP dt July 11, 2012).

Actually, there is a huge bronze Nataraj statue in front of CERN the European Center for Research in Particle Physics in Geneva, Switzerland. And CERN is the present authority to draw all attention on the God particle through its dedicated research all around.

This bronze statue of Nataraja is not made in the Bronze Age by some ancient people. Modern sculptors of Bharat (India) have made it in a very artistic way and this was presented to the CERN authority by the Indian Science Mission as sent by Govt of India in 2004.

The statue of the Indian deity Shiva at CERN was unveiled by His Excellency K M Chandrasekhar (seated), Dr. Anil Kakodkar (left) and Dr. Robert Aymar (centre).

On June 18, 2004, an unusual new landmark was unveiled at CERN, the European Center for Research in Particle Physics in Geneva — a 2m tall statue of the Indian deity Shiva Nataraja, the Lord of Dance. The statue, symbolizing Shiva’s cosmic dance of creation and destruction, was given to CERN by the Indian government to celebrate the research center’s long association with India. The statue of Lord Shiva at CERN was unveiled by His Excellency K M Chandrashekhera, the Indian ambassador to WTO, Geneva, Dr Anil Kaodar  (eminent Indian nuclear scientist) and Dr Robert Aymar (Director General of CERN (2004–2008), with a mighty pleasure  of other CERN scientists.

‘In choosing the image of Shiva Nataraja, the Indian government acknowledged the profound significance of the metaphor of Shiva’s dance for the cosmic dance of subatomic particles, which is observed and analyzed by CERN’s physicists. The parallel between Shiva’s dance and the dance of subatomic particles was first discussed by Fritjof Capra in an article titled “The Dance of Shiva: The Hindu View of Matter in the Light of Modern Physics,” published in Main Currents in Modern Thought in 1972. Shiva’s cosmic dance then became a central metaphor in Capra’s international bestseller The Tao of Physics, first published in 1975 and still in print in over 40 editions around the world.

A special plaque next to the Shiva statue at CERN explains the significance of the metaphor of Shiva’s cosmic dance with several quotations from The Tao of Physics. Here is the text of the plaque:

Ananda K. Coomaraswamy, seeing beyond the unsurpassed rhythm, beauty, power and grace of the Nataraja, once wrote of it “It is the clearest image of the activity of God which any art or religion can boast of.”

More recently, Fritjof Capra explained that “Modern physics has shown that the rhythm of creation and destruction is not only manifest in the turn of the seasons and in the birth and death of all living creatures, but is also the very essence of inorganic matter,” and that “For the modern physicists, then, Shiva’s dance is the dance of subatomic matter.”

It is indeed as Capra concluded: “Hundreds of years ago, Indian artists created visual images of dancing Shivas in a beautiful series of bronzes. In our time, physicists have used the most advanced technology to portray the patterns of the cosmic dance. The metaphor of the cosmic dance thus unifies ancient mythology, religious art and modern physics.”‘

In traditional Indian point of view the Science has no contradiction of Dharma, mostly misunderstood as Religion. While religion is some restrictions for a section to run a particular belief fermented with some ethos, Dharma is a far different from that concept. Dhrama is the reality of attributes of entire life process in a method of sacrifice of individual for the society and good hood. In Vivekananda’s word it is ‘manifestation of divinity already in man’. It is Dharma and certainly not religion.

So the properties of a particle is Dharma, attribute of human being is Dharma, the enforcement of nature is Dharma and all pervading. It is not at all superstitions. It is the synthesis of science, philosophy, knowledge, intuition and everything in a single and supreme entity, which religion doesn’t.

CERN is concerned to that supreme truth of the creation, particles and predominance. God particle has now some hint of creation, preservation and destruction from a single source.

As per Hindu realization (one may degenerate it by calling it Hindu mythology) with a subtle scientific approach, Lord Shiva (Nataraja) is described as Devadideva, the primordial god of all gods, the supreme creator and the Mahadeva, the greatest god, the supreme source of energy. Shiva is the cosmic dancer who performs his divine dance to destroy a weary universe and make preparations for god Brahma to start the process of creation afresh. This new creation is harmonized and preserved by god Vishnu, obviously by the force of trinity in the singularized and unique entity originated from that Devadideva or Mahadeva. Lord Shiva, the Grand Designer. Lord Mahakal. The reality of Infinite Time and Space. The circular continuity of creation, preservation and destruction. Shiva. Shiva. Shiva. I think CERN has that same reverence to that truth behind Statue of Lord Nataraja situated in front of the CERN Head Quarter in Geneva.

I find the majestic dance of Lord Shiva in front of CERN institute. Shiva is dancing in an aureole of flames with a rhythm of time infinite so beautifully, lifting his left leg and balancing over a demon or dwarf (Apasmara) who symbolizes ignorance and evils. Om Namah Shivay. It means adorn all endeavors in the light of truth, prosperity and maturity.

Our Pranam – Bowed Salutation and Gratitude to all the Gurus in this auspicious Guru Purnima!

Posted by hinduexistence on July 3, 2012

Holy Message of H.H. Dr. Jayant Balaji Athavale, Sanatan Sanstha in the event of Sri Guru Purnima.

O Hindus ! Become the immortal flame in the historical chapter on establishment of the Hindu Rashtra and preserve the heritage of Guru-disciple tradition !

Gurupournima is the day of offering gratitude unto the Guru ! The real mission of the Guru is to guide the society (that is lost in materialism) towards Spirituality and take the true disciples towards Moksha (Final Liberation). The true disciples too follow this path and participate in the samashti (for the sake of the society) mission throughout their life. Offering the self physically, psychologically and economically to the samashti mission of the Guru is true gratitude unto the Guru ! Contribution of the Guru-disciple tradition to the samashti has been immense. This glorious tradition has emancipated the life of the Hindu society on moral, cultural and spiritual fronts.
History is testimony to the fact that whenever there has been a decline of Hindu Dharma, the Guru-disciple tradition has directly participated in the mission of reinstatement of Dharma.
Today, there is a decline of Hindu Dharma. The rise of Raja-Tama-predominant forces is causing decline in sattvikta (Sattva-predominance). Since the society is indulging in adharmik (Unrighteous) practices, the spiritual strength of the Nation is weakening. This has given rise to deceit and hypocrisy in the society. Corruption and immorality are on the ascent everywhere. There is rise in wrongdoings in the name of religion. In short, the very soul of Sanatan Dharma has disappeared, and what remains is its lifeless shell. This is the single reason why reinstating of Dharma has now become necessary. Under the prevailing circumstances, reinstatement of Dharma means establishing a Hindu Rashtra on the foundation of Dharma. This Nation will then have an ideal system of governance. This system will be the true alternative to the present day corrupt democratic system, which has caused deterioration of Bharat in every field and has led to decline of Hindu Dharma.
Brahmatej (Radiance of Brahman) and Kshatratej (Radiance of warrior) are two aspects essential for the reinstatement of the Dharma. Most Saints and spiritual organisations such as Sanatan Sanstha are striving hard for enhancing the spiritual power (nurturing Brahmatej) of the Nation on the strength of their sadhana. While many Nation and Dharma loving organisations, periodicals and intellectuals are involved in nurturing Kshatratej at the physical, psychological and intellectual levels to change the dire state of the Nation, the mission needs to progress as outlined ahead.
A. Physical : This involves physical participation for the reinstatement of Dharma. For example, preventing harm to Dharma, organising protests, retaliatory action etc. This is 10% important as per the times.
B. Psychological : Educating Hindus about the mission and motivating them towards action as per the principle, ‘There can be no action unless emotion for the Nation and Dharma is awakened’. This can be achieved through educative writings in newspapers etc., through discourses etc. This also has 10% importance as per the times.
C. Intellectual : Giving direction to the Hindu society for reinstatement of Dharma. For example, conducting a detailed analysis of calamities affecting the Hindus, providing intellectual strength to Hindu organisations etc. This too has 10% importance as per the times.
D. Spiritual : This involves spiritual practice performed for bestowing spiritual strength to the physical, psychological and intellectual activities carried out for reinstatement of Dharma. For example, chanting or performing Yadnya (Sacrificial fires) to accomplish a task. This has importance of 70% as per the times.
As per the times, with the Guru-disciple tradition and spiritual sects, every Hindu participating in the task involving Kshatratej (of the physical, psychological and intellectual level) and Brahmatej (of the spiritual level) as per the ability and sadhana, amounts to preserving the Guru-disciple tradition ! O Hindus ! Be active and contribute to the reinstatement of Dharma from this year’s Gurupournima and become the immortal flame in the historical chapter on establishment of the Hindu Rashtra !
- H. H. Dr. Jayant Balaji Athavale, Sanatan Sanstha.
