Karunanidhi has urged Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi to take steps to ensure that the Sri Lankan government gave up, what he called, its programme of erasing Tamil language, culture and religion. He sought their help in putting an end to alleged drive by Sri Lankan authorities to rename Tamil villages with Sinhala names.

In identical letters to Dr. Singh and Ms. Gandhi, Mr. Karunanidhi said many more such tactics were being employed by the Sri Lankan government. “Tamils in Sri Lanka are living in an oppressive environment,” he alleged.

Bringing to their notice “disturbing developments” in Sri Lanka vis-à-vis the Tamils, he said: “The Sri Lankan government is now carrying out an intensive and systematic programme of erasing the Tamil language, culture and religion and diluting the concentration of Tamils in areas where they have historically been predominant. This manifests itself in the renaming of Tamil villages, redrawing of village, district and town boundaries, demolishing Hindu temples, non-allocation of funds to resettle and rehabilitate internally displaced Tamil families.”

He said: “The Sri Lankan government is also not allocating funds to schools, hospitals and other infrastructure where the Tamils live predominantly. It is also promoting Sinhala settlements on Tamil land and Sinhalese take over of the economic life of Tamil areas, which impoverishes the Tamils, and the deployment of army camps to intimidate them.” India had a moral obligation to stop this as it involved the eradication of a great culture and ancient religion in our backyard, he said.

Giving details, Mr. Karunanidhi said 89 villages had been renamed with Sinhala terms and 367 Hindu temples had been demolished. There were 148 mini and 13 main army camps in Mullaitivu district alone.

In Amparai district, the Tamil heritage village ‘Potthuvil’ was renamed as ‘Pothuvila’, and ‘Thirukovil’ was renamed as ‘Srikovila’ and ‘Tharavaikulam’ as ‘Tharakkulam’ while ‘Vagarai’ became ‘Vagara’ in Batticalao district and Nilaveli was renamed as Nilvaella, and Alankulam as Gemburuweva in Trincomalee district.

In Jaffna district, Vaddukottaii was renamed as Battakote and Paruththiththurai as Pethuruthoduva, and Nainatheevu as Nagatheeba. With name change, Kilinochchi became Granika, Mullaitivu Mooladoova and Vavuniya, Vannimava, he said.

Sri Lanka: Is Delhi Dumb?

Not many people fit both definitions at the same time, but the Government in Delhi has managed a Double First! The international community (IC) has expressed itself in no uncertain terms and the governments of the United States, UK, Canada, and even Australia in low key because of other sensitivities, International Commission of Jurists, UNHCR, International Crisis Group, Asian Human Rights Association, Bar Associations of several countries including UK and even Indian newspaper leader writers. There has been universal condemnation and expressions of shock at the flagrant violation of the constitution, an unheard of kangaroo-trial of a Chief Justice (CJ), a witch-hunt, and finally a lynching by Executive President Mahinda Rajapakse and the sycophant parliament that kneels before him. Through it all Delhi has remained brain dead and voiceless!

The common explanation is that India has enough on its plate both internally and with Pakistan and China that is does not want anymore and does not wish to intervene in the internal affairs of a neighbour. This is unacceptable when matters go so much out of hand that the fabric of democracy is ripped and freedom of life and liberty of the people of Lanka imperilled. Don’t take my word for it; here are abbreviated extracts from what an international body located in Geneva, the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, with no particular axe to grind on behalf of CJ Shirani Bandaranayke, stated on 18 January.

 “The removal of the Chief Justice through a flawed process is gross interference in the independence of the judiciary and a calamitous setback for the rule of law in Sri Lanka. Chief Justice Shirani Bandaranayke was served notice of her dismissal and removed from her chambers and official residence on 15 January, in spite of a Supreme Court ruling that the parliamentary procedure to remove her violated the Constitution.  Sri Lanka has a long history of abuse of executive power, and this latest step appears to strip away one of the last and most fundamental of the independent checks and balances.”

The jurist sworn in by the President as the new Chief Justice on 15 January, the former Attorney-General and Legal Advisor to the Cabinet, Mr. Mohan Peiris, has been at the forefront of a number of government delegations to Geneva in recent years to vigorously defend the Sri Lankan government’s position before the Human Rights Council and other human rights mechanisms. This raises obvious concerns about his independence and impartiality, especially when handling allegations of serious human rights violations by the authorities.

Just this morning we have received alarming reports from the Independent Bar of Sri Lanka of a series of death threats, acts of intimidation and even a couple of reported murder attempts against lawyers who have been supporting Chief Justice Bandaranayke, and the rulings of the Supreme Court and Court of Appeal on her case”. And this is by no means the strongest statement made by international commentators; it seems that the Government of Canada has decided to boycott the Commonwealth Heads meeting scheduled for late this year in Lanka and has been backed by the Canadian Bar Association in the decision.

It would be too repetitive to summarise what has happened in the last four months or to add to the avalanche of criticism. Indian readers will find a good cross section of views and comments and a ball-by-ball commentary of events on the Colombo Telegraph website (www.colombotelegraph.com/). Those who do not have time to go to original sources must take my word for it; flagrant trampling underfoot of the constitution, a rushed, botched “trial” by a parliamentary select committee that violated the norms of natural justice, and a comedy in parliament where a government Minister (Vasudeva Nanayakkara, MP) even shouted “We have told the judiciary to go to hell.”

And why did Rajapakse fling the Chief Justice out? The reason is that when the Divineguma Bill came to the Supreme Court for determination of its constitutionality, a three judge bench presided over by the CJ decided that it was inconsistent with the constitution and would need a 2/3 majority for passage. I discussed the Bill (now enacted) in this column on 26 October 2012 (“Queer happenings in Serendib”; Paper 5265) and pointed out that thereafter 64% of the budget of the Sri Lankan government is controlled by departments and/or ministries under three of the siblings (Mahinda, Basil and Gothabaya Rajapakse). The fourth sibling Chamal Rajapakse, parliamentary speaker, steered the impeachment through the House. His Master’s Voice cabinet ministers have now been instructed to tout his name as the next Prime Minister. India must change its Colombo policy, pleads Sri Lankan MP

Chennai | Jan 21, 2013 | (IANS) :: A prominent Sri Lankan MP wants India to change its Sri Lanka policy, warning that its hands off attitude was encouraging Colombo from meeting the legitimate political aspirations of the island’s Tamil minority.

Suresh Premachandran also said in a telephonic interview that the government of President Mahinda Rajapaksa was not sincere in having a dialogue with the elected leaders of the Tamil community.


“One could understand a certain Sri Lanka policy India followed when the LTTE (Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam) was there,” the Tamil National Alliance (TNA) member told IANS here.

“Now that the LTTE is no more, India must change its (Sri Lanka) policy,” he said. “Otherwise the Sri Lankan government’s attitude will not change.”

India solidly — both tacitly and openly — backed Colombo when the latter waged war on the LTTE, leading to its destruction in May 2009.

Since then, however, the Rajapaksa government has gone back on some of the promises it made to Indian leaders on pursuing a path of reconciliation with the Tamil community.

And Tamil leaders say that India is not putting enough pressure on Sri Lanka to implement what it told Prime Minister Manmohan Singh including on providing genuine autonomy to Tamil areas.

According to Premachandran, Sri Lanka was emboldened vis-a-vis the democratic world because of the support it gets from China.

“They (the regime) don’t care about the US and Europe, and they say they can manage India too,” said the MP, whose TNA is the main Tamil voice in parliament and which was earlier seen as the LTTE’s political arm. “They feel that with China with them, they can manage the UN too.”  >>Read details here.

The Hare Krishna  Hindu temple of ISKCON in Russia, is scheduled to be demolished by Moscow authorities by 15 January 2013. The ISKCON monks announced that the Hindu temple was facing closure by Russian government, a year after the Christians of the country had sought ban of Bhagvad Gita, though the Russian Court of Tomsk rejected the ban on Gita upon the plea of the Orthdox Church.  The temple destruction has been generated by the protest of Orthodox Church of Russia which hold the status of more than ‘State Religion’.

This Orthodox Church of Russia is not going to demolish religious places of other faiths except the Hindus and obviously ISKCON’s.  As this Hindu group is working hard to fulfill the spiritual vacuum among the materialistic Russian people so disgusted by the meaningless services of Orthodox Church. After attacking the Srimadvagabad Gita’s ISKCON version (‘Gita as it is’ by Prabhupada), the Orthodox Christians are directly hitting ISKCON from their sheltering place. The Church authority is hatching a clear conspiracy against the increasing influence of ‘Hare Krishna Movement’ in Russia.

It is hard to reveal  the real Hindu-Buddhist history of Russia. ISKCON has many branches in Russia having Shri Krishna-Gour Netai Temples in Russia. Ramakrisna Mission has its branch in Moscow. Regular Hindu pujas are conducted there in Ramkrishna Temple.

Azerbaijan’s Baku still carries the Hindu reminiscence of ancient Vedic  Agni Puja in Jwalaji Temple (Hindu Temple). Russian Mongolia has still Buddhist (TantraYana) majority and Hindu-Buddhist amity. Buryatia still maintains its Indian roots in religious practices. But, the Christian conspirators are planning to end the Indian influences in Russian religious practices.

In 2007 a ancient Vishnu Deity was unearthed in an excavation work near Volga region. The Vishnu idol found in Staraya (old) Maina village dates back to VII-X century AD. Staraya Maina village in Ulyanovsk region was a highly populated city 1700 years ago, much older than Kiev, so far believed to be the mother of all Russian cities.

The Hindu Council of Russia [HCR] represents members of the Hindu religion in Russia. The council was created on December 19, 2011, in light of the Bhagavad Gita trial in Russia, by “Hindus from Bharat (India), Bangladesh, Mauritius, Nepal and other countries residing in Russia.” Sadhu Priya Das is the current chairman of  HCR.

The presence of ISKCON,  Ramakrishna Mission, Chinmaya Mission, Ananda Marga, the organizations associated with Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, Sahaja Yoga, Brahma Kumari, Satya Sai Baba and Osho Rajneesh unequivocally prove the Hindu Existence in Russia.

While ISKCON and Brahma Kumari appear to have a relatively strong followers in Russia, the other organizations in the list have a marginal but significance presence in this country. So far 80 centers of ISKCON and 20 of Brahmakumari’s are nurturing the Hindu and Buddhist Culture in Russia with the other Indian Root Hindu Organizations.

As of December 2005, the Federal Registration Service recorded the number of registered Hindu groups listing Hindu group and Hindu groups with particular orientation on Krishna (78) and Tantric sects with the 20 self realization centers of Brahmakumari’s.

According to the Hindu Forum of Britain, there are 60,000 Hindus in Russia, over 10,000 of whom live in Moscow.

The present protest against Hare Krishna Temple in Moscow has been orchestrated by the Russian Orthodox Church which did not want land given to a temple one Hindu Organisation as considering it as a measure of  ”converting Russian Christians to a Hindu way of life”.  With the vehement anti-propaganda of Russian Orthodox Church, Hindus were victimized, threatened, bullied, beaten and subjected to violence one after another in a so called socialist country and a citadel of ‘Glasnost’ and ‘Perestroika’ .

Finally, in November 2005, the Mayor of Moscow canceled the land order and took away the piece of land given for the construction of the Hindu temple.

On November 29, 2005, Archbishop Nikon of the Russian Orthodox Church sent a letter to the mayor of Moscow, describing the Hindu deity Krishna as an ‘evil demon’. The letter continued in that manner, using words such as ‘satanic’. Some days after a representative of  Teresa, the Queen of Christian Conversion in India met the anti Hindu Archbishop Nikon with a confidential mission.

On January 14, 2006, Mayor of London, Ken Livingstone handed over letters expressing concern about the harassment of Russian Hindus by the Moscow Government and the Russian Orthodox Church to the visiting Mayor of Moscow, Yuri Luzhkov in London, even as British Parliamentarians led by Ashok Kumar MP, Lord Dholakia and Baroness Flather got ready to host the launch of the Defend Russian Hindus Campaign at the House of Commons on 18 January of the same year.

British Parliamentarians and members of the all faith communities  adopted then a resolution to  Defend Russian Hindus launch at the House of Commons, urging the Moscow Government to stop harassment of minority religions in Russia. Parliamentarians from all three parties will later hand a copy of this resolution to the Russian Ambassador in London.

After that gallons of water have flown in Ganges and Volga, but the Orthodox opposition to Hare Krishna Hindu Temple of ISKCON still remains intact as majority Christians do not tolerate Hindus any way. They want Christian conversion of this world and India in a very scrupulous evangelical way. Actually, Orthodox Christians in Russia haven taken a vow to end up all Hindu activities in Russia in every footsteps by demoralizing Hindu Scriptures and destroying Hindu temples.

Russian President Vladimir Putin came to India in his official visit on 24th Dec, 2012 for a Indo-Russia strategic purpose. He came and flown away after signing some agreements and deals, but the Indian-Russian cultural disruption did not get a chance to heal up properly.

Anyway, huge numbers of Hindus everywhere and the some confused Hindus in Ramakrishna Mission still observe Christian celebrations of year ending and new christian era.  Christian are destroying Hindu Temples in Russia, converting huge numbers of Hindus in Christianity and we are enjoying 25th December…. 1st January. SHAME.

And we foolish Hindus are celebrating various Christian celebration in our own way. What a suicidal measure we are adopting all around. Stop buying cakes for a persecutors’ (Christian) celebration. Donate for a Hindu Cause to Ramakrishna Mission, ISKCON, Bharat Sevashram Sangha, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti,  Hindu Existence… where ever you get a scope to strengthen our Hindu society.

Russia’s only Hindu temple faces threat of demolition.

proposed moscow iskcon templeTNN | Dec 24, 2012 | New Delhi :: The Indian ambassador to Russia has asked the Moscow authorities to give an extension to a temporary temple which is set to expire on December 31, 2012, until they complete the construction of a Vedic cultural centre.
NEW DELHI: A year after Russia sought to ban the Bhagavad Gita, the Iskcon Krishna temple in Moscow is facing closure by the Russian government. By January 15, 2013, Iskcon monks said their Moscow temple, the only Hindu temple in Russia, would be demolished by the city authorities.

As Russian President Vladimir Putin arrives on Monday for a day of talks with the Indian government, the temple issue is likely to figure in the discussions, not least because the issue has been pursued by the foreign ministry.

Indian ambassador to Russia Ajai Malhotra has asked the Moscow authorities to give an extension to a temporary temple which is set to expire on December 31, 2012, until they complete the construction of a Vedic cultural centre. Asked about the proposed demolition, Russian ambassador to India Alexander Kadakin dismissed fears of demolition.

However, Iskcon monk Madanmohan Das said the demolition order has not been revoked, so the temple is due to come down in January, because the authorities said it “violates the urban building code” and has no legal grounds for existence.

In a statement, the temple officials said they feared that even the permanent temple would face the axe. “A source in the Moscow mayor’s office said on condition of anonymity that Mayor Sergey Sobyanin also ordered to axe the permanent temple project, which Delhi chief minister Sheila Dikshit and previous Moscow mayor Yuri Luzhkov had included in a joint declaration in 2006 as a symbol of cultural cooperation between the cities. Following the declaration, Indian ambassador Ajai Malhotra laid the cornerstone for the new project earlier this year,” the statement said.

This year, Russia plans to push for land from the Indian government for a Russian orthodox church in Delhi. In 2004, Moscow’s Iskcon temple was demolished and the Iskcon group was offered another plot to build a temple. Reports said the offer was withdrawn after Russian orthodox church members protested against the temple building plans.

Last year’s Bhagavad Gita trial had brought Lok Sabha to its feet and in a rare move, Parliament had collectively asked Russia to prevent the ban. The latest issue of demolition promises to put another wrinkle in the bilateral relations. [Courtesy: TOI]

United States. One in 10 Asian Americans identify themselves as Hindus, concluded the results of a report on Asian Americans and their religious affiliations, released July 19 by the Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life.

Hindus and Buddhists counted together represent two percent of the overall population, the same share as Jews.

Ninety percent of Hindu Americans believe there is more than one way to interpret the tenets of their faith, and the majority celebrate both Hindu holidays like Diwali as well as Christmas, noted the report, titled: “Asian Americans: A Mosaic of Faiths.” The report lacked much novel information, and re-stated largely-held beliefs about Indian Americans and their religious practices.

Most Asian American Buddhists and Hindus maintain traditional religious beliefs and practices. Two-thirds of Buddhists surveyed believe in ancestral spirits, while three-quarters of Hindus keep a shrine in their home, concluded the report, adding however that 30 percent of the Hindus surveyed and 20 percent of Buddhists report having attended religious services of another faith, outside of special occasions such as weddings or funerals.

U.S. Buddhists and Hindus tend to be inclusive in their understanding of faith. Most Buddhists and Hindus, for instance, reject the notion that their religion is the one true faith and say instead that many religions can lead to eternal life, or in the case of Buddhists, to enlightenment, noted the survey.

The 182-page report focused on the four major religious groups of Asian Americans: Christians, Buddhists, Hindus and the religiously unaffiliated. Muslims compromise an additional four percent of Asian Americans, but their numbers in the survey were too small to include in the analysis, said an introduction to the report.

A pie chart of Indian American faiths included with the report showed that 51 percent of Indian Americans identify as Hindus, 10 percent are Muslim, five percent are Sikhs and two percent are Jain.

Eighteen percent of Indian Americans identify as Christian, though only about three percent of India’s total population is estimated to be Christian. The higher percentages of Indian American Christians may reflect immigration patterns or switching of religions.

Ten percent of Indian Americans are unaffiliated with any religion, according to the pie chart, which did not include a slice for other affiliations, such as Parsis or Jews, whose combined numbers represent less than one percent of the Indian American population.

About one-third of Hindu Americans say that religion is important in their lives, in sharp contrast to the overall U.S. population where religion plays a large role in the lives of 58 percent of those surveyed.

The report also notes that Asian Americans tend to pray less than the overall population, but adds that Asians regard prayer differently than other groups.

“The ritual recitation of mantras in both Buddhism and Hinduism is not the same as prayer to a personal God in the Christian tradition, and this difference may help explain why a smaller number of Asian American Buddhists and Hindus than Asian American Christians report that they pray daily. And although attendance at religious services is higher among U.S. Asian Christians than among U.S. Asian Buddhists and Hindus, many of the Buddhists and Hindus – about 78 percent – report that they maintain religious shrines in their homes.

Nearly three-quarters of Hindu Americans see yoga not just as exercise but also as a spiritual practice. More than half of U.S. Hindus said they believe in reincarnation and moksha, defined in the survey as “the ultimate state transcending pain and desire in which individual consciousness ends.”

Also, about half also believe in astrology defined in the survey as the belief “that the position of the stars and planets can affect people’s lives,” but fewer believe in spiritual energy in physical things or in ancestral spirits.

Interestingly, 24 percent of Hindus say they meditate daily, while only 17 percent of Buddhists – with whom the practice is more commonly affiliated – say they regularly meditate.

“As their numbers rise, Asian Americans are contributing to the diversity of the U.S. religious landscape. From less than one percent of the total U.S. population — including children — in 1965, Asian Americans have increased to 5.8 percent or 18.2 million children and adults in 2011, according to the U.S. Census,” said the Pew researchers in an overview of the report.

“In the process, they have been largely responsible for the growth of non-Abrahamic faiths in the United States, particularly Buddhism and Hinduism,” noted the report, which can be viewed in its entirety at pewforum.org.

ANN | SUVA | 06-09-2012 :: Calls for Fiji to become an officially Christian state have been rejected by one of the country’s main Hindu groups.

It comes after the president of Fiji’s Methodist Church yesterday said the country was ceded to God by the chiefs and was therefore a Christian nation.

Vijendra Prakash, general secretary of Sanatan Dharam, told Radio Australia his members would prefer Fiji be a secular state where religion does not mix with politics.

“Because this country is multicultural religion and a multilingual country, and we have been living so happily,” he said.

Fiji Methodist Church’s new president, Tuikilakila Waqairatu, on Wednesday said he supported the idea of of Fiji becoming a Christian state.

“Fiji was given to God,” he said.

“When we say that Fiji is a Christian state … we say it was decided by our chiefs who ceded Fiji to Great Britain that Fiji be a Christian country.

“When it was given to God, it has already established its covenant relationship with God, and that covenant relationship is eternal – it cannot be withdrawn.”

40 Hindu panchayats meet in Umerkot

UMERKOT, Sept 2. A partial strike was observed in Umerkot on Sunday to denounce injustices and atrocities against minority communities.

Representatives of 40 Panchayats from Sindh attended a convention held in Lord Shiva Temple in Umerkot.

The strike was observed in response to a call given by the Hindu Welfare Panchayat Pakistan.

Over 20,000 people and members and leaders of about 40 Panchayats from Mirpurkhas, Sanghar, Khipro, Tharparkar, Kunri, Samaro, Digri, Jhuddo and Naukot attended the convention.

President of the Hindu Welfare Panchayat Pakistan, Kishan Chand Parwani MNA, said minorities were migrating to India because they were feeling insecure in Sindh. Otherwise it is not easy for anyone to leave his motherland. He said unless legislation was introduced, it would be difficult to curb atrocities against minorities.

He demanded that when a girl was converted she should be produced in the court of law where her age and free will should be determined and she should be allowed to meet her parents. But 13-year-old girls were abducted and forcibly converted, he alleged.

Minority leader Lal Malhi said lives, property and religious places of minorities were not secure in the country. He thanked nationalists, human rights activists and Pir Pagara for supporting minorities and raising voice for them.

He appealed to the chief justice of Pakistan, president and other authorities to take notice of it.

Advocate Bhagchand Bheel, president of the Bheel Intellectual Forum, said minority students were taught ethics in classrooms while Muslims recited the Holy Quran. He demanded that minorities’ religions should be included in the syllabus. He referred to the speech of Quaid-i-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah of Aug 11,1947 and said people wanted to see Pakistan of the Quaid-i-Azam.

Lachhman Das, Bhagchand Bheel, Kumar Tilwani, Dr N K Lohano and Gul Bhatia also spoke on the occasion.

At the convention, Lal Malhi was named coordinator of the Hindu Welfare Panchayat Pakistan for Umerkot chapter.

The convention adopted resolutions demanding dual voting rights for minorities, legislation to protect lives and property of minorities and allocation of job quota in accordance with population of minorities in each district. It rejected five per cent quota in jobs for minorities and called for an international commission to investigate forcible conversions.

They demanded that reserved seats should be abolished because these were given to outsider Hindu traders who protected their own interests.

Noted minority leaders and politicians like Rana Hamir Singh and Senator Dr Khatumal Jewan were not invited to the convention. [Dawn News.]

Hindus and Sikhs were living here harmoniously with the local people when the concept of a pure Muslim homeland (Pakistan) had not been invented yet.

The Hindus successfully and effectively contributed in developing local businesses to make sure the easy supplement of various commodities to the people. Their valuable efforts in the development of a diversely rich civilisation cannot be ignored.

Government officials, as usual, are refuting these reports to hide their failure about the disgusting law and order situation.

Minority leaders in Bangladesh demand separate ministry and equal rights.

by Blitz News Desk | Bangladesh |  September 2, 2012 ::  Advocate Gobinda Chandra Pramanik, secretary general of Bangladesh National Hindu Grand Alliance and Ripon Roy, president of the youth forum of the same organization in a statement asked the Bangladesh government as well as the members of the National Parliament to bring the bills for establishment of a separate ministry for the religious minorities in the country. They also demanded 25 percent reserve seats for the representatives of the religious minorities in the country as well as immediately recovering illegally grabbed properties of Hindu temples as well as Hindu religious institutions in Bangladesh. They said more than three hundred properties of Hindu temples and Hindu religious institutions are illegally grabbed by influential Muslims with political affiliations with the major political parties in the country.

Expressing dissatisfaction over ignoring the rights of the religious minority groups in the country, Advocate Gobinda Chandra Pramanik said repression on the religious minorities have already reached into an alarming level. Even during the rule of Bangladesh Awami League, which proclaims to be secularist, series of incidents on attack on Hindu temples, demolition of deities, attack on Hindu families as well as other forms of brutalities took place, where in many cases, leaders of the ruling party or their youth and student fronts were directly involved.

He said, the current government should take immediate measures in recovering the properties of Hindu temples and Hindu institutions from the illegal grabbers and extend all possible cooperation in construction of temples and other infrastructures on such lands.

Advocate Pramanik demanded introduction of a bill in the next session of parliament to create a separate ministry for the religious minorities in Bangladesh.

Islamabad | Jun 27, 2012 | IBN Live :: Hours after reports emerged that Pakistan was to free Indian death row prisoner Sarabjit Singh, the presidential spokesman on Tuesday night clarified that authorities had taken steps for the release of another Indian prisoner named Surjeet Singh who has been jailed for three decades.

“I think there is some confusion. First, it is not a case of pardon. More importantly, it is not Sarabjit. It is Surjeet Singh, son of Sucha Singh. His death sentence was commuted in 1989 by President (Ghulam) Ishaq (Khan) on the advice of (then premier) Benazir Bhutto,” presidential spokesman Farhatullah Babar told PTI.

Law Minister Farooq Naek on Tuesday conveyed to the Interior Ministry that Surjeet Singh had completed his life term in jail and ought to be released and sent back to India, Babar said. Read here details.

Earlier Reports as came from Islamabad | NDTV | June 26, 2012 : Pakistani president Asif Ali Zardari has commuted the death sentence for Indian prisoner Sarabjit Singh.

He is likely to be allowed to return to Punjab soon. He has spent 21 years on death row and is currently in a prison in Lahore. This May, he filed his fifth petition for clemency.

India’s Minister for External Affairs SM Krishna thanked Mr Zardari for commuting Sarabjit’s sentence.

Sarabjit Singh’s daughter Swapandeep said she would go to the border with her mother and sister to receive her father.

“We always had faith in God and we knew our efforts to get him back would be successful,” said Swapandeep, emotional and often breaking down as she spoke.

Sarabjit Singh was convicted for blasts in Lahore and Multan in 1990. At least 10 people were killed in those attacks. He has argued that he is innocent, and that he is a farmer from Tarn-Taran who crossed the border by mistake.

Sarabjit was  first given the death sentence by a Pakistani judge  in 1991. Several appeals were rejected by different courts including the Supreme Court. Former Pakistani President had rejected his mercy petition.

His family has campaigned relentlessly for his release.

Last month, Pakistani prisoner, Dr Khalil Chishty, who was in the Ajmer jail for 20 years, returned to his country. The 80-year-old virologist was in jail in a 1992 murder case.

While a 32-year-old woman identified as K Rabana Amma of Waltier in Andhra Pradesh died on the way to hospital while complaining of chest pain, the district headquarters hospital here received the body of a 65-year-old man as well. “The woman died on way to hospital.   1. Presently the Bangladeshi Muslims form 2% of Bharatiya population. They have created many ‘Mini Pakistan’ all over Bharat.
  2. Four thousand of Rohingya Muslims from Manaymar are currently staying in Delhi.
  3. According to the Intelligence reports, 39% of the infiltrators stay in Bengal, 25% in Assam and North Eastern regions, 22% in Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh and Delhi while rest of them are scattered in all other states.
  4. Now these Bangladeshi people are collectively demanding Bharatiya citizenship in Kolkata.
  5. A Muslim MP in Rajyasabha demanded rehabilitation of such infiltrators – migrants as Muslims think Bharat a Dharmashala.
  6. The menace of Bangladeshi infiltration is assuming a dreadful form. A conspiracy to divide Bharat lies underneath it.
  7. Pakistan intelligence agency ISI and Bangladesh intelligence DGFI Masterminds are behind increasing influx from Bangladesh and outside.

Ramnathi, Ponda, Goa | 14-06-2012 :: In a press meet in the concluding phase of 5 days All India Hindu Summit to have the Hindu Raj in this holy land of Bharat, Sanatan Sanstha and Hindu Janjagruti Samiti adopted various resolutions in every aspect of Dharmik life and ultimately decalred Bharat as Hindu State.

The Proclamation such a Hindu Rashtra in National level so directly and emphatically has never happened ever after declaring Marathwada as a Hindu Pad Padsahi declared by Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.

In it’s Goa Edition,  (Times City, 12 June, 2012) they started to try a division in Hindu Society through various concocted reports and analysis. Times attacked Sri Narayan Prem Sai and Promod Mutalik in a row for their truthfulness in Hindutva line.

Four reports so far published on 12-06-2012 has no spirit of actualities as all these were targeted the Hindu Rashtra Summit and its dignitaries joined it for its success at any cost.

The reports are:

VHP has separated Hindus from their brothers: Sant Narayan Prem Sai.

Opposition builds up against Shri Ram Sena.

Sri Ram Sena to open branches in Goa.

Manohar Parrikar warns Ram Sena.

As we heard directly Sri Narayan Prem Sai and Promod Mutalik, we can easily understand the maligning nature of the  Times Group.

Narayan Sai never told any thing against VHP, but lamented only for its failure to convene such summit to declared Bharat a Hindu Rashtra. But, the Times never quoted his experience in Dubai airport where the publication of Yog Vedanta Samity was thrown as garbage being un-Islamic literature. Even the Group of Times is simply mute to the reaction of Prem Sai for Temple Fund encroachments by Central and State Govts.

The reaction of Times for Promod Mutalik is nothing but a reaction as the bite boys and girls (reporters) are anxious that they may not perform their debauchery in the pubs in week-ends. As such they fit both the CM and opposition against Promod Mutalik like idiots. But both Prem Sai and Mutalik have thousand of Fans in Goa to invite them in this State for Dhrama Prachar (preaching of Dharma) time and again.

In an over all assessment the Third day session of Hindu Rashtra Summit is perceived as meaningful and proactive in all senses.

Speeches of Sri Narayan Sai (Yog Vedanta Ashram of Asaram Bapu), Promod Muthalik (Sri Rama Sene), Dr. Nil Madhav Das (Tarun Hindu Dal), Arjun Sampath (Hindu Makkal Kattchi), Tapan Ghosh (Hindu Samhati), Acharya Yogesh Shastri (Arya Samaj, Bengal), Chittaranjan Sural (HJS) and Vaibhav Aphale (HJS) were the main attraction for the Day – 3.

Discussions and presentation  were made for Rewriting of History, Conversion issues, Love Jihad, Hindu reactions in Communal Riots in different sessions to adopt resolution for theses matters.

Peshawar | May 21, 2012 :: Unidentified men stormed a at least 160 years Hindu temple of Guru Gorakhnath and Lord Shiva in Peshawar on Sunday evening, police said.

This Gorakhnath temple was just reopened in 2011 after a long legal fight or 60 years as the temple was forcefully closed by the Evacuee Property Trust Board and the Provincial Archaeology Department. As one Phool Wati and her son Kaka Ram own the sacred battle the opening rituals were performed with a great grandeur in last Diwali.

But, the old temple of Nath Tradition has been vandalized with all Islamic impetus and and desecrated by Muslim menace. The Idols of Shiva and Nath Gurus were destroyed, holy books are set on fire, human excreta were thrown and so on. According to the police, the attackers burnt images and took away idols from the temple in the Gorghathri area, and fled the scene after the incident, reports the Daily Times.

No immediate claim of responsibility was made, they said.

The custodian of the temple said it was the third such attack. He said when he arrived at the temple, he saw around eight men burning images and sacred books.

Members of Hindu community expressing concern over the incident, have demanded immediate action against the miscreants.

Again to say that in a brazen act of vandalism, unidentified men sneaked into a Hindu temple in the capital city of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa on Sunday (20-05-2012), smashed a holy figurine and burnt down scriptures and images of deities.

“We opened the temple around 6pm and found all holy scriptures and images burnt down. A statuette of Lord Shiva was also smashed to pieces,” Ramesh Lal, a priest at Guru Gorakhnath temple, told The News Agencies

The temple is situated in the Gorgathri neighbourhood inside the walled city.

Peshawar, which is believed to be one of the oldest living cities of South Asia, houses dozens of monuments and structures from the Buddhist, Hindu, Sikh and British eras.

The priest said that the community had reported the incident to the local police who gave them the customary cold-shoulder.

“Vandals smashed a statuette of Lord Shiva to pieces and burnt down the holy Gita as well as several images of our deities,” Lal said. The temple, according to him, did not have armed guards because the government pays scant attention to the security needs of a Hindu place of worship.

According to Lal, the 160-year-old temple was named after a Hindu pontiff Guru Goraknath. The local Hindu community had abandoned the temple following the 1947 partition of the subcontinent. For decades no ritual was undertaken within the temple ground until the Peshawar High Court handed over its custody to the Hindu community a few months ago.

“This desecration and vandalism has hurt the religious sentiments of our community. Lack of cooperation from police and administration has added insult to the injury,” Lal said and added that the police were reluctant to concede that the temple had holy images and figurines.

“When the temple was reopened [after the PHC verdict] after almost six decades, we imported a figurine from India which cost us hundreds of thousands of rupees,” Lal claimed.

Haroon Sarblal, a representative of the Hindu community, condemned the incident as ‘unacceptable’. He called upon the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government to arrest the vandals and provide security guards for the temple.

“If the government wants the Hindu community to remain calm, it should arrest the vandals and punish them accordingly,” Sarblal told The News Agencies.

These acts of vandalism and desecration  are a deliberate attempt to create communal tension in the city, he said. However, he vowed that the Hindu community would remain calm and record its protest peacefully.

No group has claimed responsibility for the vandalism – but past attacks on the shrines of Muslim Sufi saints and spiritual figures have been blamed on Taliban insurgents.

HYDERABAD: Some 70 people drawn from the Hindu Bheel community embraced Islam at the Madrasa Baitul Islam in Badin on Sunday. The families hailed from Golarchi in Badin, Raju Khanani in Tando Mohammad Khan, Shaikh Bhirkyo in Hyderabad and Thano Bula Khan in Jamshoro division. Qari Abdul Majeed converted the 37 men and 33 women and gave them new names.

This report is published in The Express Tribune, May 21st, 2012. But the sources ascertained that these Bheel people have been victimized by the local Muslim Goons for the years out of a conspiracy  to convert them forcefully. The lands and occupations of these poor people were snatched, their women folk were raped and abducted and threatened to evacuate from their own place. Ultimately the this Bheel Hindu folk submitted to Islam under the wrath of Allah. But the Muslims will say it is a peaceful embracing of Islam. Shame.

Narendra Modi gets clean chit in SIT report on Gujarat riots….

AHMEDABAD || PTI || Apr 10, 2012 :: In a big relief for Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi, the Supreme Court-appointed SIT has given him a clean chit in the post-Godhra Gulberg massacre case and sought its closure as it found no evidence against him. “According to SIT, no offence has been established against any of the 58 persons listed in Zakia’s complaint,” metropolitan magistrate M S Bhatt said in his order on Tuesday on a batch of petitions in which Zakia Jafri, widow of former Congress MP Ehsan Jafri who was among 69 persons killed in the Gulberg society carnage, had named Modi and 57 others for alleged criminal conspiracy in the 2002 riots. The court ordered that a copy of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) report and related documents be given to Zakia within 30 days, giving her the right to pursue her private criminal complaint against Modi and others. It will now have to decide whether to accept or reject the closure report after hearing the complainant. “Therefore, as per the Supreme Court’s order and principles of natural justice the complainant has to be given copy of the report and related documents,” it said, adding no notice was needed to be issued to Zakia as she had already approached the court seeking a copy of the report. “It is hereby ordered that as per Supreme Court order Zakia will be given copies of the investigation report, statements of witnesses and all related documents within 30 days of this order.” Zakia had filed a complaint against Modi, his ministerial colleagues, top police officials and BJP functionaries accusing them of wider conspiracy in the riots in which more than 1,000 people, mostly Muslims, had been killed. Fall of Britain by Radical Islam by 2030?

On 2nd March 2012, the Daily Mail published an alarming report as- 2030: The year Britain will cease to be a Christian nation with the march of secularism. It sensitized the media naturally with producing important analysis but sometimes prone in absurdity.

“Britain won’t be Christian nation by 2030: Report” – Sat Mar 03 2012 18:46:13 GMT+0430 (Afghanistan Standard Time) as  covered by IANS. The news follows as:

‘London, March 3 (IANS): Britain may no longer be a Christian country by 2030 as the number of non-believers is set to overtake the number of Christians, a media report said.

Christianity is losing more than half a million believers every year, while the count of atheists and agnostics is going up by almost 750,000 annually, the Daily Mail reported.

Research by the House of Commons Library found that while Christianity has declined, other religions have seen sharp increases.

In the last six years, the number of Muslims has surged by 37 percent to 2.6 million; Hindus by 43 percent and Buddhists by 74 percent. But the number of Sikhs and Jewish believers fell slightly, according to the Mail Friday.

Last week a group of MPs and peers – Christians in Parliament – claimed public policy was promoting “unacceptable” discrimination against Christians.

On Friday, the group’s chairman, former Tory justice minister Gary Streeter, warned that believers were having their faith “steamrollered” by a “secular and hostile state”.

It found that in 2010 there were around 41.1 million Christians in Britain – down 7.6 percent over the past six years.

There were around 13.4 million non-believers, up 49 percent over the same period.”

The religion wise population in 2011 in UK now figures on general proximity as: Christian (Anglican, Roman Catholic, Presbyterian, Methodist) 69.7%, Muslim 8.7%, Hindu 1.3%, Buddhist 0.9% other 2.2%, unspecified or none 17.2%.

London may be captured by Muslims by 2030.

Constantly enriched by migration, London hosts more religions than any other city on the planet.

From these statistics and picture it is very much evident that by 2030, the Hindus, Buddhist and Sikh community in United Kingdom will take a bit larger shape than now, but the Muslim population of Britain will cross the line of 30% of total population of Britain and Muslims will take a much stronger hold in politics, finance and even in the Royal Family (Pardon me). Consequently the Christian, Hindu, Buddhist, Jewish, Sikh and other community will suffer within a grim situation of up-surging Muslim dominance.

From the latest demographical data as presented in the Daily mail dated 02/03/2011, it is verified that though the Muslims have grown 36.84%,  they possess a huge population of 26, 00,000, just after a total Christian population of UK as 410,00,000 and non religionists population of 134,00,000. And all other religions come to a tiny block of 22, 80,000 [ Hindu: 7,90,000; Sikh: 3,40,000; Buddhists: 2,70,000, Jewish: 2,70,000 and Other religions: 6,10,000], positioned below the population strength of Muslims, as a whole. So, the statistical/numerical increase of all other religions in UK will not be able to check the gigantic progression of Islam towards both the Buckingham and Westminster Palace.

Rapid changing demography in UK.

The Christian community in UK will be in top position with more than 50% of total population in 2030, if they just believe in Indian family system and at least three sons, two for family and one for monastery. With all  these venture, critical calculation and risk factors, the Christian Community, Church Councils in UK and the Vatican must start interfaith dialogue with the Non Muslim communities and start maintain and spread the Church services in UK and Christian dominated states rather than continuing evangelization programmes in far East or in the third world.

Yes, in a dare possibility, there is a chance that “Britain will cease to be a Christian nation” in 2030, but obviously not “with the march of secularism”. Britain will then be captured by Radical Islam with all possibility. And the whole non Muslim community including Christians, Buddhist, Hindus, Sikhs, and Jews will be tormented by the expansionist ISLAM.

Population, immigration labours, ethnic conflicts, Jihadi outfits, Sharia over UK constitutions, Talibani threat to free society, increasing violence and lawlessness, attack upom non-Muslims, rape and molestation of white girls, increasing economic burden… Islam is the problem in UK.

Should we only point out the problem or to find a solution also?

When it is a question of survival of own faith from a demon like Radical Islam, we should join hands. Resist Radical Islam in UK and everywhere.
