Is Hollywood’s golden couple set to tie the knot in India? The buzz is that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have decided to go for a traditional Hindu- style wedding in Jodhpur next year.

Brangelina are reportedly looking to solemnise their relationship in mid- 2011 under the guidance of their spiritual guru, Ram Lalji Siyag. The 84- year- old is the founder- patron of the Jodhpurbased Adhyatma Vigyan Satsang Kendra. He has refused to confirm or deny the news.

The Siddha yoga guru’s disciples, too, have kept silent. Sources say Brangelina have requested Siyag not to discuss their association with the guru – let alone their wedding – in public. Hindus, though, have welcomed the wedding news.

Pitt had proposed Angelina in 2005, sources say, when she was pregnant with their daughter Shiloh. The actress wanted more time because she was not sure about their relationship.

But now, things seem to have changed and both superstars look set to take their relationship to the next level.

The grapevine has it that the guru has played a key role in bringing mental peace in the glamorous lives of the couple. Siyag reportedly initiated the couple into the Hindu way of life, giving them a spiritual mantra to read every morning for serenity.

” Pitt and Jolie have been practising his Siddha yoga. They start and end the day by chanting the sacred mantra. It has transformed their relationship. They’ve cut back on drinking and no longer argue,” reports in the Western media said.

Earlier, Elizabeth Hurley and Arun Nayar, who are headed for splitsville, had tied the knot according to Hindu customs in Jodhpur. In November, pop star Katy Perry and British comedian Russell Brand also got married in Rajasthan.

No doubt then that Hinduism is in vogue among global celebs. Julia Roberts created a sensation this year by announcing that she was a “practising Hindu” and that her family went to the temple regularly to ” chant, pray and celebrate”. Actress Goldie Hawn, on a trip to India, soaked in the sights and sounds of Varanasi by participating in the famous Ganga Aarti and even meditated on a boat. Supermodel Heidi Klum and singer Seal renewed their marital vows in a Hindu ceremony.

Professionally too, Hollywood celebs have been using Hindu imagery. Last year, Hindu groups demanded apologies from Heidi Klum, Mike Myers and Natalie Portman for allegedly distasteful portrayal of deities.
