HENB | New Delhi | May 22, 2016:: Though Rajnath Singh, the Interior Minister of India claimed, “Indian Muslim Won’t Be Influenced By ISIS Video”, the ISIS (Islamic State) had acknowledged the presence of Indians in the group for the very first time, releasing a 22-minute-long propaganda video vowing to avenge the killing of Muslims in “Kashmir, Godhra and Mumbai”. The revenge for “Babri demolition” was also lauded in the video.

Released early on Friday, the video features individual jihadists who have joined the cause, and features propaganda meant to convince their “brothers” in India and South Asia to stop mingling and trading and living among Hindus.

In the video, stretches of which are in mixed Arabic-Pushtu, one English-speaking jihadist says Muslims in India have three options. “Accept Islam, pay Jizya, or prepare to be slaughtered”. The video also talks about horrific acts committed against Muslims, and asks them to stop following the ways of the West, to leave their professions as doctors or engineers, and join and support the cause of the Caliphate.

It has been detected that a Thane engineering student Fahad Tanvir Sheikh who travelled to Syria in 2014 along with three other men from the city, is the only individual conclusively identified in the video, in which he uses the pseudonym Abu Amr’ al-Hindi.

“We will return,” Sheikh vows, “but with a sword in hand, to avenge the Babri Masjid, and the killings of Muslims in Kashmir, in Gujarat, and in Muzaffarnagar.”

Sheikh also pays homage to his friend from Thane, Shahim Tanki, who is said to have been killed in a bomb attack in Raqqa last year.

The third member of the group, Areeb Majid, is now being prosecuted by the National Investigation Agency (NIA).

The video also features several still-to-be-identified members, suspected to be once of the Indian Mujahideen, whose members are known to have been serving with Islamic State forces after breaking with their Pakistan-based leadership.

“To those in the Indian state who wish to understand our actions,” says an unidentified jihadist, “I say you have only three options: to accept Islam, to pay jizya, or to prepare to be slaughtered.”

Families of the surviving Thane men, as well as members of the Indian Mujahideen known to have left Pakistan for Syria, are being contacted to identify the individuals featured in the video, a government source said.

“The last photographs we have of many of these people we have are from before 2008, when many of them were just adolescents”, the source said. “It’s hard to be certain just who is who in the video, though it is possible to make informed guesses”.

Large parts of the video, narrated in Arabic, seek to provide context to the presence of Indian jihadists in the Islamic State – men it describes as jihadists from “Hind wal’Sindh”, a usage for India and Pakistan. The video begins with medieval warlord Muhammad Bin Qasim’s conquest of the region, saying it laid the foundations for Islamic rule.

The British, the narrator states, then handed over control of India to Hindus – people it describes as “cow-worshippers” who have been responsible for violence against Muslims in many places, including Mumbai, Gujarat, Assam and Moradabad.

“Hindus are striving to convert you Muslims to their faith, O’ sons of Bin Qasim”, one recruit says, recounting a string of communal riots. “Is there any other humiliation that you still need to suffer before you will give up chanting that Islam is a religion of peace, and learn from the Prophet, who fought with the sword?”

For the most part, the video consists of interviews, mainly conducted at an unidentified coastal location. There is no combat footage of Indians, bar one sequence involving several men in two boats, first released by the Islamic State’s Indian affiliate, Junood Khilafat-al-Hind, last year.

The video does, however, include one sequence where six men sit together, singing a jihadist anthem, promising that a new dawn lies ahead.

Explaining his personal journey, one jihadist says he was forced to leave Mumbai for the Khorasan region, or the Afghanistan-Pakistan borderlands, after the 2008 shootout at Batla House in which Indian Mujahideen commander Atif Amin was killed.

This first hijrat, or religious migration, was followed by a second one to Syria, the man recounts.

“In India,” the man who fled Mumbai says,“we see that it is that it is the cow, the trees, the sun, the moon…that is worshiped. Instead of fighting these things, the Muslims of India trade and maintain social relations with these infidels.”

He vows, though, to return to avenge atrocities against Muslims in India. “Have you forgotten the train bombings in Mumbai, or the bombings in Ahmedabad, and Surat, and Jaipur and Delhi,” he asks.

The video assails mainstream Muslim politicians and clerics for compromising with what the narrator describes as a tyrannical system responsible for massacring Muslims. Images of the Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen leader Assaduddin Owaisi and All India United Democratic Front politician Badruddin Ajmal are juxtaposed with dead bodies of victims of communal riots. Indian Muslim politicians are attacked for associating with non-Muslim leaders: one image shows the Congress’s Mani Shankar Aiyer embracing a Hindu priest and Muslim cleric.

The most acid invective, though, is reserved for Indian clerics who, the video says, are supporting the forces of kufr against the mujahideen of the Islamic State. Insisting that armed jihad “in the way of Allah” is an individual religious obligation incumbent on every individual Muslim, the video warns clerics that they will soon meet their reckoning.

“Do not listen to those who tell you that Islam is a religion of peace,” one jihadist says, his face digitally masked over. “Islam was never a religion of peace for even one day. Islam is a religion of war. The Prophet commanded us to remain at war until the day the rule of Allah is established.” The video mocks Muslims protesting against the Islamic State.

The jihadists interviewed also praised the quality of life in the Islamic State. “Here there is Sharia in Islamic State,” one says. “Here the hands of thieves are cut off. Here, our religion is safe.”

Indian Mujahideen cadre are known to have travelled to Islamic State-held territory from 2014, after rejecting the leadership of their Karnataka-born chief Riyaz Ahmad Shahbandri, also known as Riyaz Bhatkal.

The men include one-time Mumbai hospital employee Abu Rashid; Shahnawaz Ahmad, a Unani doctor and the son of a local Samajwadi Party politician in Uttar Pradesh’s Azamgarh; and students Mohammad ‘Bada’ Sajid, Mirza Shadab Beig. Karnataka Muhammad Shafi Armar, one of the Indian Mujahideen fugitives, has been named by the NIA as a key suspect in several recent arrests related to Islamic State.

The ISIS chief Baghdadi has self-styled himself as the new ‘Calif’ to try and take-over the rest of the world to form the new ‘Califate’. India with its vast Muslim population would naturally be an early target. It is a danger and we have to be prepared to prevent that, at the same time Hindus, in majority in this country, need to unite to defend the country. As it appears,the present government is fully aware and taking steps towards this end. The rest of us countrymen MUST NOT oppose the steps being taken towards this end, and foolish peaceniks crying against the Hindutva brigade need to rethink and support. They should understand that Hindus, by nature, are not oppressive conquerers. The Hindus will allow all others to proceed freely as they wish and as they are doing now. Christian and other religious entities should join very freely. Their identity will be preserved while fighting together to prevent the Caliphate.

There were no Muslim Terrorism in India / Gujarat before 1999. All is created from 2002 Gujarat riots from Vadodara railway station on 27.2.2002 at 2 PM where 3 peoples were stabbed. Two were Muslims and one was a Hindu.

The Socialist Unity Centre of India (S.U.C.I.) Gujarat State Organising Committee is drawing your attention to the recent communal violence in Baroda.
On the day of 1st. May the International working class Day as well as the 47th. Foundation day of Gujarat “The Maha Gujarat day” communal violence erupted in Baroda walled city area. So far, six people are dead and more than 100 people are injured. The consecutive curfews in three PS areas out of six PS areas could not curb the riot. On 2nd of May man was burnt to death in his car. The repeated S.O.S. to Police Head Quarter went without any response. This itself reflect the law and order situation and the indifferent attitude of the Police and the administration.
The Chief Minister of Gujarat made a token visit to the city after 48 hours of the riot. Of course, the Union Minister of State for Home Shri Prakash Jaiswal made a quick visit to the city on 2nd of May. The deployment of military is an appropriate step by the Central Government. However, the security is not handed over to military. The known lack of political will of Gujarat Government headed by Narendra Modi to tackle the riot as per the previous records cannot be just be ignored. The dubious role of Mr. Modi and his lip service to law and order is an open truth.
The demolition drive, by the Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC), of the Dargah of Fatehpura which is believed to be two hundred years old could have been handled by taking the minority community into confidence. From the media report, it is known that the minority community was ready to comply with the situation. Before the negotiation became fruitful, the dargah was razed and fresh road was made over the dargah in presence of heavy Police Bandobast, senior BJP leader Mr. Nalin Bhatt along with the BJP corporators to ensure the razing of the Dargah. As per the report in Times of India dated 2/5/06:
Why did Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) demolish the mazaar of Chishti Rashid-ud-Din while still in consultation with Muslim community leaders for a compromise? Community leaders are feeling betrayed by officials in the entire incident. “Municipal commissioner RK Pathak had himself visited that site on Saturday and suggested cutting it by 2.5 feet so that it did not obstruct traffic around Champaner Darwaja,” said prominent advocate Moin Rafai, one of the minority leaders negotiating for a compromise. The leaders say that they had received the VMC notice three days ago and immediately approached Mayor Sunil Solanki and Pathak. Given that Mandvi is a communally sensitive area with a history of violence, Pathak had visited the mazaar and suggested the compromise
Local leaders had then convinced residents for the compromise solution. “We took religious opinion of Kamal-ud-Din Bawa, who saw nothing wrong in slicing off a part of the mazaar according to Islamic law,” Rafai adds. “But then by Sunday morning, we found out that the VMC was planning to demolish the entire mazaar.” The community went back to Pathak and Solanki on Monday morning, but by this time, the mood had changed.
“The municipal Corporators, most of them from the BJP, told us that if they could demolish temples, there should be no objection to removing a mazaar,” added Yunus Pathan, another community leader. “We disagree with this logic as the Muslim community never asked for temples to be demolished. We told the officials to handle the situation sensitively, but the next thing we know, the officials started the demolition.” To allegations that the negotiations were mere delaying tactics by the community, the leaders say they had even roped in structural engineers and architects for the job.
Pathak says the Muslim leaders had approached him three days back with their proposal. “I had not promised anything,” he said. “If I agree to only a partial demolition, it would have set a false precedent.”

The armed police resorted to indiscriminate firing, killing and injuring the people and there by ignited the communal fire, giving free hand to the communal elements to escalate the violence and communal passion. The Gujarat Govt., its administration and the police cannot shut their eyes to the bare fact that the Gujarat state is sitting on a tinderbox since the last carnage 2002. The confidence building measures of the minorities is yet to be started. Rather a situation of provocation is deliberately built-up to incite the minorities in different ways and keep the flame of communal fire burning. Peace and amity has never been given a chance. It is highly deplorable that the Govt. and its administrative machineries have never cared for the law and order situation, administrative neutrality and restoration of peace. Different ways and means are maneuvered to keep the frenzied atmosphere alive. The administrative neutrality in Gujarat is a far cry. Ironically, the Baroda riot co-incided with the posting of Mr. P.C. Pandey as the highest Police Officer of the State, the then Police Commissioner of the 2002 carnage in Ahmedabad.The atrocious act of Police in Baroda just reflect the brutal act of Police of the last Carnage.
“Investigations by TOI reveal that on April 13, Solanki and Swaroop had a spat over the VMC’s anti-encroachment drive. Swaroop refused to provide security to the encroachment team and Solanki widened the rift by calling up law minister Ashok Bhatt and home minister Amit Shah to complain against Swaroop. The cop was worried that the drive would degenerate into communal violence if religious structures were targeted. Swaroop had anticipated trouble but did not find it necessary to bring in additional forces to handle a possible escalation of violence.” (Times
of India 4-5-06) It is also reported in press that the Mayor Mr. Solanki went to the extent of uttering that he will take the help of VHP and Bajrang Dal to demolish the Dargah. It is to inform you that most of the Civic Bodies are controlled by BJP. When the Baroda BJP says, razing the Dargah is a balancing act; they opposed the demolition of temple in Rajkot. A mob of 3000 led by BJP councilors opposed the demolition of the temple and the Municipal Commissioner of Rajkot was attacked by them. This is the double face of BJP.
Therefore, the BJP controlled VMC totally ignored the warnings of the communal flare-up deliberately and went ahead with the demolition drive with utter disregard to the religious sentiment of the minority.
Nowadays a dangerous euphoria has been generated in the name of development and prosperity with utter disregards to the socio-cultural and economic aspects in Gujarat of the people. The directives of judiciary should be taken in proper social perspective with the social responsibility by the government and administration but not as a ploy to fulfill its heinous motive in the name of development, destroying the very fabric of communal harmony. A peculiar fusion of communalism and parochialism is out and out promoted by the Govt. and its machinaries and violation of human rights has become a routine affair. Under these circumstances, we request you to take immediate measures to restore law and order situation and deploy military to save the State from another repetition of 2002 carnage. Enough blood has been spilled and many are injured. Loss of property is also no less. The normal life is disturbed in Baroda. The holocaust of carnage 2002 is hunting Gujarat. We request you to take stringent measures to ensure peace in the State. We put forward the following demands for quick redressal:
• Adequate compensation be given to the family of deceased, injured and to those who have incurred loss of properties.
• The Mayor Mr. Solanki must resign, the Municipal Commissioner must be dismissed and responsible police officials be punished.
• A high power judicial committee be appointed whose recommendation be made mandatory.
• Military be deployed over all sensitive areas of Gujarat with order to act and without delay.
• Government relief camps be started immediately.

Mumbai Blasts, March, 1993. Furthermore, Kashmir has seen Islamic terrorism since the 1980s at least.

Indeed, Islam and terrorism go hand in hand.
