Delhi court issues arrest warrant against Dawood Ibrahim and Chhota Shakeel in relation to a killing conspiracy of a Akhil Bhartiya Hindu Mahasabha Leader.

Upendra Bharti | HENB | New Delhi | Oct 1, 2016:: A Delhi court has issued open Non-Bailable Warrant (NBW) against underworld don and terror mastermind Dawood Ibrahim and his aide Chhota Shakeel for allegedly hiring goons to kill a leader of a right-wing outfit Akhil Bhartiya Hindu Mahasabha (ABHM).

Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Sumit Dass passed the order on Thursday (29 Sept) on a plea of Special Cell of Delhi Police seeking issuance of NBW against the duo who had allegedly hatched a conspiracy to eliminate ABHM leader Swami Chakrapani.

According to the police, Chakrapani had bought a car owned by Dawood Ibrahim in an auction held by the government in Mumbai last year and later set it on fire in Ghaziabad. In June this year, four persons — Junaid, Roger, Yunus and Manish — were arrested as they were allegedly planning to eliminate the right wing leader.

Police claimed that during interrogation, Junaid had disclosed that Shakeel had given them money, asking them to eliminate Chakrapani to teach him a lesson for setting Dawood’s car on fire. Two pistols and ten live cartridges were recovered from their possession, police said.

To send a ‘message against terror’, Hindu leader  Chakrapani bought Dawood’s car at a price of Rs 32,000/- in a Mumbai auction organised by Union Ministry of Finance on December 9, 2015. Chakrapani set it ablaze on Dec 23, Wednesday at Indirapuram, Ghaziabad  near Delhi.
